I think Morgan should be promoted to the rank of knight.
opinions?

What has he done to earn this promotion? He's been here what.....3 weeks?
Gav Mortis
May 3rd, 2001, 11:51:21 AM
I mean him no disrespect, but he has only been here a short while and had only one training session. He needs to undergo quite a bit more yet. His ability in the force is well develloped as a result of his Jedi history. However, his ability in the Dark Side needs develloping. I strongly advise against the promotion for now.
Although OOC, I know he's a great roleplayer but that can't be a factor in this I dont think.

I concur with Gav completely. I couldn't have said it better.

Out of Cat Mode: The inherent knowledge gained by him as a Jedi would have some transference factor upon becoming a Sith. Note that Anakin didn't bump down to disciple when becoming Vader, nor did Luke do so in Dark Empire, etc.

I still thing his own dark side should be develloped somewhat more before he is promoted though!

I have seen what happens if you allow a former jedi to be promoted too quickly with graem. i didn't train her long because I knew of her training as a jedi. I made a mistake and I am not happy for my actions. This may not be any of my business but please take my words into consideration.

If you doubt that he has embraced the darkside I suggest that you spar with him. His fighting skills are obviously not in question. I still hold by my original assessment that he's ready. He has the force and fighting experience and hes so deep in the dark side now.

still, he's only been here for 3 weeks or so. he should be required to earn his promotion.
Lady Vader
May 4th, 2001, 09:49:05 PM
sometimes time doesn't need to be a factor if the skill is there... and the skill for him is most definitely there...
Darth Viscera
May 4th, 2001, 10:02:17 PM
Well of course it is! He learned those skills working for the enemy. He should be made to wither on the vine just as the rest of us before he is promoted.

He was demoted from Knight to Apprentice when he came here, if I am not mistaken. I believe that one good fight will determine his worthiness of reclaiming the title of Knight.
Gav Mortis
May 5th, 2001, 12:18:54 AM
Well all I'm gonna say further if this is done, I think it will be a big kick in the teeth for those who are striving to become Knights for a lot longer than him with regards to Sith.
Edit: Mispelling of the word "teeth". If someone misread it, they might have mistaken it for "teat"! A kick in the teat?! Poor cow! How are you LW?:)
Lady Vader
May 5th, 2001, 10:08:56 PM
those that have been training for a long time to be Knights had to start from the very beginning... Morgan didn't need to start from the beginning... we could have just as easily accepted him into TSO as a Knight... but, like Anbira stated, he was demoted... one well fought fight would be more than enough to take him to Knighthood again... he has the skill...

;) I think we should involve him in an RP of epic proportions. After he has proved himself worthy of being an apprentice, he should be promoted. Oh, wait...are there any RPs going on yet?
Hopefully (THIS IS NOW OOC, DO NOT USE THIS INFORMATION IC, OR ELSE I'LL WHINE A LOT. A LOT A LOT. AND I"M NOT KIDDING. :) ) there will be one soon. LD is planning on continuing her fight for TSO, and is involving Sanis Prent...see SWFANS for details.

Methinks Morgan should fight me! Since I'm locked up in prison it would be an interesting trial of sorts before my official trial, IF you guys ever get round to giving me one. I assure you he will become knight as a result based on the roleplay, but its also something I wish to implement. A change of sorts...

(OOC)I wish that I could only participate in some of these RPGs... I'm up to my head with school this week, and then next week is finals. After that I'm home free for the summer. :) I hope that I can do some stuff with LP this weekend, I've got some stuff planned.

For Garrett's trial I would like to defend him.

Darth Roul

I wish to defend him not because he is a traitor but because he needs atiquite defense. And I belive someone like you Viscera will not give him this. It is his right and I wish to uphold it.
Lord Psychic
May 9th, 2001, 12:55:19 PM
I do not see anything wrong with Roul's defense, however I might suggest that this is brought to the TSO courts right now, instead of arguing about it here for some time longer. After all, in every case, there should be a defense.
Darth Viscera
May 9th, 2001, 12:59:26 PM
He has caused enough death for no reason whatsoever, and threatened the fabric of galactic peace. He should join his victims.
Lord Psychic
May 9th, 2001, 02:49:46 PM
I have to agree with Viscera; however, if Roul wishes to defend Blade, then why not let him? I see no harm in doing so.
Darth Roul
May 9th, 2001, 03:49:13 PM
You mean on Coruscant? A planet that doesn't even belong to TSO? Why should he be punished for a crime that wasn't even commited on TSO property. and Garrett I will need to speak with you on MSN to go over your case.
Darth Viscera
May 9th, 2001, 06:24:18 PM
He violated Galactic law, murdered Imperial citizens for no reason whatsoever. He should be drawn and quartered.
Lord Psychic
May 9th, 2001, 07:20:12 PM
Viscera, this can be dealt with in a more peacfull manner if you would just not object to Roul defending Blade. No harm can become of it, and it puts an end to this useless bickering.
Lady DeVille
May 9th, 2001, 08:17:27 PM
*ahem* Causeing death without reason? Isn't that what we do? Sorry, Viscera, but he's being held by TSO, and so will be tried by TSO. If the GMA had caught Blade, then you could do whatever you wanted to under those laws. But here, well, try to act like a Sith every now and then, why don't you.
TSO is upset, not because of things that happened at Coruscant, (other than pretending that he had Council support) but because of recent events that seem to prove his disloyalty to TSO: allowing and assisting a Jedi to roam freely at TSO, which led to the escape of DDC (whom no one has done anything about) and the kidnapping of Ariel.

Correction: That's what criminals and the scum of the galaxy do. Death should always have a purpose, preferably an honorable one, preferably legally sanctioned by some sort of government. Garrett Blade is simply a renegade criminal who illegally committed homicide and violated galactic laws, as well as the Empire's sovereignty.
In addition, I dislike your implication that merely being Sith obligates us to maintaining some sort of chaotic, anarchistic administration. Wildly inaccurate at best.

Oh for Gods sake stop bickering!!!
These arguements can be brought up in the actual trial!!!
What the hell is this, a sneak preview! Get on with it!!!
We seem to do nothing but pointless bickering! The arguements are good but serve absolutely no purpose here-use them at the trial!
Talk about wasting your time.
EDIT:
Sorry to have lost it there, but it is true that there is NO point to all these arguements here, I mean, why dont you guys put them to good use and use them in the trial.

I could of sworn that Sith were the scum of the Galaxy. Hmm...

ugh, I'm with Vis on that last statement he made... Palpatine was a Sith... I won't stand for any other bull -DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR-...
ok, that's my thought on that matter...
you may now return to your regularly scheduled bickering...

why is it that I read a thread and I always see the same people starting arguements! You know who you are cause I've told you time and time again NOT TO DO IT!!!!!!!!!! Now Im getting mad! GROW UP!!!! -DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR- just cause we RP sith doenst mean we cant act reasonable! Good god! If we all actually RPed realistically as sith there would be no sith groups at all only renegade masters with apprentices! So come on!!!! Think before you post!!!
Darth Roul
May 11th, 2001, 12:03:58 PM
I think you mean me LW but I am not sure so please post if you do and if you do I will work on it.
