The shuttle rocked slightly as it exited the ionosphere of Corellia, and Darth Viscera tried to calm his nerves. A two-onebee tended to his bacta tank, and two TIE Devils escorted the small craft to the St. Valery, which hung protectively in orbit of the planet.
The shuttle docked with the destroyer, and the huge battlewagon and an accompanying interdiction picket, which had detached from service with the Colonies Sector Fleet, formed up and entered hyperspace for Coruscant.
Attaching the electroencephalograph transference device was not easy, and the probes burned into his scalp, leaving scars which could not be repaired. Fortunately, they would not have to be. The probes retracted, and Viscera descended into the temporary nothingness to which he was accustomed.
