Can't say I'm hyped at all myself.

Ep 1 lost me for the movies, and even despite the one goodish review I've heard of it (which describes it as better than RotJ) I've heard numerous more that describe it as nothing more than mind-numbing amounts of visual effects and action scenes, with no memorizable dialogue, and acting reminiscent of a tin can having rocks thrown at it.

Who knows, maybe once I'd actually stand a chance of getting a good seat in the theatre (so a few months from now) I'll go see it.

More likely I won't though, cause $15 is too much to pay for Any movie that doesn't come with free snacks, especially in a theatre where elbow-room is inexistant Anywhere inside the theater >_<

......

Geez.. and I'm suppossedly not even in a bad mood o_O

Edit: Admittedly though, the people who've been dissing it in their reviews also didn't like American Psycho, American Beauty, Ghost in the Shell, or Princess Mononoke >_<

Go check ENtertainment, the reviews in one word thread says this is wrong. Or try AICN, where SW fans (Some who didnt like TPM) rave about it

Doesnt help I dont live anywhere near a building that shows movies.

And I dont feel like paying a hundred bucks right now to be able to get there and then spend more money to simply view EP II by itself.

That and I read the novel which was very good and has more plot than the movie does. Far better opening as well and of course explains various things in good detail.

Although some annoying issues are easily there that some will instatly start debate once they calm down from talking about the "cool" scenes.

Only paid 23.00 for the novel too.....it was suppose to be 40.00 plus tax Canadian or 26.00 plus tax American.......but the machine screwed up and only charged me 23.00

I find myself thinking I couldn't care less.

Probably because I never was much of a fan of the movies, but more of the books - and somehow EpI just really destroyed my enjoyment of the movies even more.

Who knows, if I didn't have to look after the baby, I'd probably go see it anyway.

Although it'd take another two months until the English Version Cinema shows it over here, and I flat-out refuse to watch it in the German-dubbed version.

Nothing can beat watching a Star Wars movie on the bigscreen with the stereo surroud sound system. However I have to say that EP.I was a mild disappointment because it fell below my expectations. IMHO, the Sith (Maul and Sidious) could have been introduced so much more mysteriously and menacingly. However it laid down important ground work for the next two episodes. 'Nuff of my rant!

Work did not permit me to purchase a midnight showing but I do have an 12pm showing. What I know of EP.II, it is indeed going to be awesome. Enjoy all!
