Ok the question is always how much ticket prices have raised over the years so how much did you pay for your aotc ticket and if you remember how much did you pay for your TPM ticket
i payed $6 for my midnight showing ticket and $4 for my noon ticket for aotc
I payed $4 for my midnight ticket of TPM (they charged matinee prices for the midnight last time the regular tickets were $6)
so in 3 years the price of tickets has not raised in my town except the fact that they are charging regular price for midnight tickets instead of matinee price
how bout you guys

I can't remember what I payed for TPM, but for AOTC, it cost me:
7.00 for the midnight show
3.75 for the 10AM show
4.50 for the 1:30 show

Well I am going to a matinee for AOTC so it will be 5.50 for that but if they had a midnight show they would probably charge 7.25 (regular admission) I think I paid 5.25-5.75 for TPM and I remember matinee prices was about 4.25 here so it went up 1.25 in three years, I think I could have paid less so it may have even went up more.

I got my tickets for free for my 10AM showing (only because I had a gift certificate for two (a Christmas gift for me and my fiance from my sister.) Otherwise the price would be $5.50, for the matinee.)
And I paid $9.00 for the 7:30PM showing (plus $1 for using moviefone.)
For TPM I'm pretty sure I paid about $8.something.

The first two of you have absolutely nothing to complain about. I've never heard of such cheap ticket prices in all of my life, lol.
$4 for matinee?! The last time it was $4 for a matinee here was when ACT III owned our theaters and not Regal.
I'll even throw in...
ANH: SE - ROTJ:SE (1997):
$3 matinee
$6 evening
TPM (1999):
$4.75 matinee
$7.50 evening
AOTC (now):
$5.50 matinee
$7.75 evening (not much of an increase here because they probably figure it's high enough already, dangit).
I will be seeing mostly matinee showings so that I don't spend TOO much on AOTC, haha, but even so the matinee showings are no longer cheap like before.
$4.75 wasn't too bad, really, hand 'em a $5 bill and you were set. But $5.50... ugg...
The most I ever paid was at the second most expensive theater in Los Angeles, which at the time was the NUMBER ONE most expensive (and probably luxurious) theater in LA.
At The Bridge, Cinema De Lux (it's name), I paid $13.50 many times to get a night showing in the director's auditorium, where they often played new films. That particular auditorium, of which they actually have two, is just super nice and of course has leather seats, a food cart that comes to you, everything about it rocks. I mean your butt won't get sore no matter how long you sit there. Personally I'd be willing to pay the extra money for certain films, like AOTC opening night, or like a really long film (Braveheart in theaters, etc.).
Normally you "only" have to pay $10.50 to see a nighttime show at The Bridge ;)

$8.00 per ticket for the midnight and evening shows
$5.50 per ticket for matinee shows
Marcus Cinemas
A bit expensive, but the theater I'm seeing it on is the largest screen in the Midwest, and is THX-certified (not digital, at least not yet...)

Work did not allow me to attend the midnight showings unfortunately. But I paid 4.50 for two afternoon bargain matinee showings. The first one is at noon. Hey, at least I didn't miss the opening day. For that I am personally thankful.

I saw TPM in a different city..
But my prices there were (student):
$4.75 for the midnight showing, and all other showings.. Student prices are constant.
AOTC:
$7 for the midnight showing, and $4.50 for the 1:05 showing.

Mine were 8.50 Advanced for ATOC. And for Phantom Menace like 4.50 or so for on the spot sales for kids.
