The Nebulon can hold 3 passengers comfortably in its living section, possibly 4.
General
The Nebulon is a large, multisectioned ship. The cockpit is nestled between the forward mandibles and opens back to the lving and cargo sections in the center of the ship. The main boarding ramp (bottom side) and emergency escape hatch (top side) are found in the 'neck' directly behind the cockpit. The Nebulon has a cargo bay that is sectioned off into compartments with variable life support, gravity, and atmospheric controls. The modular wall sections can also be removed for larger cargoes, such as small fighters. A drop bay at the bottom of the ship (between the engines) allowed such vehicles to be deployed within seconds.
The Nebulon has retractable wings which can be extended for atmospheric flight but retracted for landing. The main wing is heavily armored and contains the ships fuel tanks, which feed directly into the six power generators and engine arrays. The wing also holds the ships round airlock (for deep space docking).
Engines
It has two main series of engine arrays mounted on a right-angle starframe. This design element provides and easy way to seperate the engines and give the ship greater maneuverability without the need of maneuvering jets. There are back-up maneuvering jets in case an engine or two go offline. It also has a modified hyperdrive.
Sensors
The wing also holds a sensor array pylon. The pylon is not easily damaged in combat due its sheild generator located nearby. The pylon gives the Nebulon's sensors far greater range and sensitivity than normal sensors.
Sheilds
The Nebulon features 8 sheild generators, but because of their immense power drain, 2 are usually up normally and the rest are usually only up during an attack or in un-friendly space.
Weapons
The Nebulon packs a foward-firing pulse cannon with enough power to slice through the sheilds of any pirate ship. --Three escape pods are foward-mounted below the pulse cannon.-- There is a retractable, rotating laser cannon on each wingtip as well as a more powerful rotating laser cannon at the base of the second engine array. There are two forward mandibles to the sides of the cockpit which hold a pair of linked proton-torpedo launchers with a magazine of six torpedoes in each mandibles. Both mandibles also hold a short range concussion sphere launcher with a magazine of eight spheres. (Concussion Sphere's cause less damage than a concussion missle and can't go very far.)
Cloaking
The Nebulon has a cloaking device located on the underside of its wing. Maintenence is very hard to do in space on it.
