First of all, what kind of work did you have in mind? What we need is designers to research new ship technology. Also, helping customers by answering their questions is a great thing.

In any event, technical knowledge is an advantage.

I'd like to do what Yog said. Have a go at least. If the information isn't already in my head on questions it'll take 2 mins to find it out. I'd love to be a designer and i know pretty much everyone here (is that a good thing?).

Just make a design thread....that's what I use to do.
