::Walks in and takes a seat::

[Shade Magus]

::Shade walk into the B&G escorting Katarina to get a drink. As they walked in they were laughing at a joke that Kat had told::

"That was funny..really. So, what would you like to drink?"

::Shade started asking Kat questions about herself as their drinks were brought to them::

"So, how long have to been here?"

[Katarina Kariena]

"A while, don't know exactly, I haven't been keeping track of time," Kat replied takeing a sip of her drink.

[Shade Magus]

"Oh. I was just wondering because you said you were gonna take my brother on as a Padawan and I thought you were still one also so I was just wondering when you were gonna be promoted."

::Shade takes a sip of his drink and looks around at everyone in the B&G before turning back to Kat::

"Ok. Your turn. You have any questions for me?"

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat laughed, "I haven't been a padawan for a long time. But thanks for the compliment, sometimes I wish I was. How did you find us anyway?"

[Shade Magus]

"Well, if you mean the GJO. It was the last time that I heard from my brother that he told me about and I always wanted to try and do as good as my brother so here I am. I know that it may seem strange for me staying when i want to be like my brother, but I believe that this is where I draw the line. I mean I have my own path in the universe and he has his to."

::He takes a sip of his drink and smiles at Kat::

"So you said you grew up on Corellia. What was it like? I myself have never been there."

[Katarina Kariena]

"I grew up on the streets of Corellia. My parrents were Corellian and were killed when I was 3 so I grew up on the streets," Kat replied laughing "It was hard, I'll say that much, but I think if it hadden't happened I woulden't be where I am now."

[Shade Magus]

"Oh I am sorry to hear that. Well for whatever reason, I am glad you are here. Well tat is one thng I am grateful for. I am sorry about your unfourante growing up and I wish I could say I knew how you felt but I was actually born on a peaceful, tropical planet called Utopia. Not many people have heard of it and even less have been there. Maybe I'll take you one day because I think you would like it, seeing as how you like the sun sets and everything. On Utopia there are two moons and they are actually kinda close so at sun set during certain times of the year you can see them in the orange sky. Also there is no place better to look at the stars. Most who go there call it heaven, but unfourtantely I have only been on the planet a total of 4 years in my 19 years alive."

[Katarina Kariena]

"Ahh, Don't feel sorry for me. I don't like sympathy or pitty. They don't help anything. You're planet sounds beautiful. Maybe one day I can visit there, but who knows."

[Shade Magus]

"Ok. If you say so. And you are right who knows? You know I am actually kind of surprised to meet someone like you here. What I mean is that I never would have pictured you as someone who would fight for any reason. You seem really gentle at first, but after that spar I have changed my mind a little."

::Shade sits his drink down and calls the waiter over::

"So would you like anything to eat?"

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat laughed, "No thank you. I'm not hungry yet. Alot of people get that impression from me, it gives me a little bit more of an advantage agianst some people."

[Shade Magus]

"Well, it is just my opinion, but I don;t really think you need that much of an advantage."

::Shade rubbed his side as he thought about their spar earlier::

"So, who was the girl that you were talking about earlier, if you don't mind me asking? The one that went Sith."

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat laughed, "I didden't kick you to hard did I? I'll try to go a little easier if we spar agian. Her name is Saphire Dragoness. She was like a younger sister to me. I wasn't sure how to react when she went Sith. But I've over come that and I moved on. I still care and worry about her, but I left her to her choice. She has to make her own dicisions and go down her own path."

She took a sip of her drink and thought for a momment about things of the past.

"But that's in the past. The future is what we need to look to and what happens or is about to happen."

[Shade Magus]

"Yes you are right the future is what we must look to. And no you did not kick me that hard."

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat laughed, "Uh huh. Most senients don't expect that much power from a Human. Even a force strong Human."

[Shade Magus]

"Yeah I seem to have to find that out the hard way," Shade said as he remembered all those times he fought a Force strong human.

[Katarina Kariena]

*lol* Who is your master, by the way? You're fighting skills are exclent!

[Shade Magus]

"Well, actually I don't have a master. The only reason I am this far along is because I took that Basic Force Moves class and practiced what they taught in there."

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat looked at him in surprise, "I'm sorry I thought you had a Master."

[Shade Magus]

"Yeah, well most people do, but I don't and i don't let it get me down."

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat filed that way for later use, she would talk to Leia about this later. "I'll see what I can do about getting you a Master. There has been a shortage of Knights since I came here."

[Shade Magus]

"Ok thanks. Yeah they have been kinda short, but I am not getting down. In fact I enjoyed it for a while when I first got here because it let me practice what I had already learned and a lot of different knights and masters gave me advice."

[Katarina Kariena]

"Masters and Knights are always ready and willing to give you advice, weither you have a Master or not." :)

[Shade Magus]

"Yeah I guess so. So when did you get promoted to a Knight?"

[Katarina Kariena]

"Quite a while ago. Thinking back on it I'm ashamed of who was my Master half the time."

[Shade Magus]

::Shade chuckles a little::

"Right...so who was your Master?"

[Katarina Kariena]

"His name was Jedi Stone. I believe he was from your planet, of your race too actualy. He was a good instructer in some cases, but other times . . ." Kat just let her sentence hang from there.

[Shade Magus]

"Ahh...bad memories? Well, if you don't want to talk about it then you can change the subject."

::Shade took another sip of his drink before ordering another::

[Katarina Kariena]

"Not so much as bad memories as bad situations that my master brought apon himself," she replied takeing another sip of her drink.

[Shade Magus]

"What kinda bad situations?" Shade asked as he noticed her drink was almost empty. "Would you like another drink?"

[Katarina Kariena]

"He went sith and tried to come back, He had evidently done this several times before I came. It caused quite a few peoblems. The sith didden't want him and the Jedi were a little leery about takeing him back," Kat replied finnishing her drink. "Yes please."

[Shade Magus]

::Shade orders Kat another drink and while they wait for itto be brought back he continues to talk to her::

"Oh...man. That must have been kinda hard for you. To have someone like that train you. No offense or anything. So, what happened to him?"

::As Shade waited for her no answer the waitress brought her drink back and Shade thanked her::

[Katarina Kariena]

"He left for good. He's not with the Sith either. And it wasn't really hard. I knew pacience was a Jedi trait, so I was pacient with him. I just let him go, it hurt to think my Master would leave like that. It's why I don't go to the Sith sometimes. I won't leave my padawans just hanging like my Master did," she replied and she took a sip of her drink

[Shade Magus]

"Wow. That is a good choice. I kinda know what that would feel like because of my brother. It is good that you have learned patience. That is something everyone needs...something I am still working on?"

::Shade looked aroudn the bar at the others::

"So have you ever played any sports?"

[Katarina Kariena]

"What kind of sports? Aside from hunt and beat the younger kid?" Kat replied laughing.

[Shade Magus]

"I don't know. I just that you look like somethat would have been in a lot of sports. You're tall and very stronge and very atheltic. You also look like you would be the popular girl in school."

::Shade said this as he took another sip of his drink::

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat laughed, "Try least popular. I didden't go to school really. I grew up on the streets, I would watch school from the windows, but most of my schooling came from the Jedi or I tought myself."

[Shade Magus]

"Oh, I am sorry to hear that, but from what I can see it has really paid off."

::Shade put his drink down and streched his arm a little::

"So, is there anything you want to know about me?"

[Katarina Kariena]

"Bah, just tell me whatever you want about yourself. I'm no good at asking questions about other people."

[Shade Magus]

"Ok...I have one brother. I grew up with Chaos Alexander and learned a lot of science from Pivo, Chaos's uncle. I went to one o the tops schools on Corellia anbd then I came here. Not much to knwo about me really."

[Katarina Kariena]

"There never is much to know about anyone. My past is diffrent, I am diffrent. It has always been that way and it always will be."

[Shade Magus]

::Shade jumped back a little at Kat's last statement::

"Well...I guess you are a little touchy about the subject. I didn't mean that that was all to me I just meant that it was all that people need to know for now. There isn't any point in telling people useless stuff like how good I am at mechanics and computers."

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat gave him a strange look and laughed, "No, that's not what I mean. You took me the wrong way. Everyone has their own story to tell, sometimes it just takes time."

[Shade Magus]

"Oh, I understand now."

::Shade sat there for a moment before his eyes lit up at something he thought of::

"I seem to remember a little thing you said to me before. You said that you would never go out on a date with a person, but I seem you find this is a date. See we are talking, drinking, and....getting to know each other."

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat laughed, "You might call it that. I guess I kinda got tricked into this one too."

[Shade Magus]

"Well...I told you I was a con-artist."

[Katarina Kariena]

"So I noticed. And a good one at that."

[Shade Magus]

"Yes, yes I know. Did we actually make a bet on this I can't seem to remember?"

[Katarina Kariena]

"Actualy it was a riddle. or suposed to be. You never gave me one to solve though," Kat laughed. "Although I think I'm gonna have to lay low for a while after this." :)

[Shade Magus]

"Oh yeah I remember the riddle now, but why are you gonna lie low? Are you embarassed of me? I am shocked."

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat laughed, "Not embarassed of you, embarassed of myself is more like it, but that's ok. People change."

[Shade Magus]

"Well...then why should you be embarrassed of yourself?"

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat looked at him and laughed, "Take a guess at howmany 'dates' I've been on in all my time here. Go on. Take a wild guess."

[Shade Magus]

"Ummm......I don't know. How many?"

[Katarina Kariena]

"One."

[Shade Magus]

"Let me get this straight. I am your first date and you are embarassed? Boy don't that just shoot my self-esteem sky high(j/k). So what if have only had one? Wht is there to be embarassed about?"

[Katarina Kariena]

"I meant one before you. You're the second. And the last time I got tricked into it," Kat laughed looking around a bit as she told him this trying to find something to fling at him.

[Shade Magus]

"So, there are to conartists around here? I don't think I could deal with competition."

::Shade noticed Kat looking around for something::

"So what ya looking for?"

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat laughed and she continued looking for something to throw at him, "No, I was actualy tricked by someone into a date with someone else."

She found something as she ended her sentence and flinged it at him.


OOC: MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA!!! :p

[Shade Magus]

"Whoa!!."

Shade moved his hand to catch the thrown projectile but he wasn't really serious about it so he moved slowly. Then it hit, he came to know Mr. Shaker personally.

"What was that for?!?"

Rubbed his face where it had hit. It didn't really hurt him he was just really surprised that it had hit.

"Whatever it was I am sure that throwing water or something would have done the trick also."

Wouldn't have been as painful either, Shade thought as he rubbed his head again.

"So.....who was this other person I keep hearing about?"

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat laughed, "It's a joke. You may not get it but the other person will. He wen't by the name Dragon Dlayer at the time, now it's Nash something."

[Shade Magus]

"You went on a date with Nash??"

::Shade starts chuckling a little::

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat rolled her eyes and groaned, "It wasn't like I had much of a choice. Jesseth tricked me into it and I had to keep my word."

[Shade Magus]

"So, please explain this to me. How did you get tricked into a date? I might have to use this trick in the future."

::Shade laughed at that idea a little::

[Katarina Kariena]

"you can try, but I never fall for the same trick twice," Kat laughed, "Jesseth asked me to do him a favor, I said I would before I knew that the favor was to go on a date with Dragon. I promiced myself I would never fall for that trick agian . . . and I won't."

[Shade Magus]

You'ld be surprised at what I could do. I ight twist that a little to where you won't know it is the same trick again..."

::Shade sat there thinking about the possibilities::

[Katarina Kariena]

Kat laughed, "I highly doubt that Shade. And don't even think about trying."

[Shade Magus]

"What harm ever cam from thinking?"

[Katarina Kariena]

Thinking can become action, actions create options, options create problems or solutions, problems create challenges, challenges create strong character, strong character creates solutions. And where the heck that all came from I'll never know.

[Shade Magus]

"I don't know either, but what I could gather was that if I think and tried then I will suceed. Is this your way of asking me out again?"

[Katarina Kariena]

"No, Don't even think about it, don't even try it."

"But..but...you just said that I should...didn't you?"

[Katarina Kariena]

"Then what was this?"

"A random thought that came from nowhere!!"

[Shade Magus]

"It had to come from somwhere. If it didn't then it wouldn't be here now."

[Katarina Kariena]

"Good point! It came from my brain! And my brain thinks of random things at random times!"

"What a coincidence mine too!! See how much we have in common."

"Do feel outplace? Do feel lonely? Do you need a shoulder to cry on? It is ok to let people in. I hope you understood what I said cause I don't." :)

"I always feel out of place. I would never admit feeling lonely to anyone. I never cry. Letting people in is dangerous. You get hurt that way."

"You don't get hurt all the time. Just when you let people hurt you."

[Katarina Kariena]

"That would be why you avoid letting people near, to avoid the hurt all together."

[Shade Magus]

"But if you avoid everyone then that is almost like avoiding freinds."

[Katarina Kariena]

"Friends can cause pain too. Those rare few who get near me are more valuable than you think."

[Shade Magus]

"You would be surprised by how much I know how you feel. The fact is I don't have that many freinds either just aquiaintances (sp). But most of the time real freinds don't hurt as much because they try not to do so."

[Katarina Kariena]

"That may be true. But sometimes avoiding friendships is the best way to prevent getting hurt and being vonerable(sp)."

[Shade Magus]

"True, but it is also a way to avoid the pleasures of freinds also."

[Katarina Kariena]

"That's true. Being alone hurts, but it helps also."

[Shade Magus]

"Please explain how being alone could help one. In my few years of living I have never seen how it could help. Atleast if you have the right company it could never help."
