Name Pronunciation (If your character has a name - read!)

Hehe, well o' course your character has a name..

I've always been wondering (so call me weird) about people's names. From first impressions I look at people names like say Nichos and I assume it's said 'Niykos'. I could be right but I'm really not sure.

Basicly I want people to post how to say their names. Teka is said..well 'Teka' the 'k' is said as in te chnology. It was originally suppose to be said 'Taker' but I continually said it as I do now in my mind so Teka is pronounced 'Teka' :p

If any of that made any sense to you please do post in response. I don't want another thread with 47 veiws and 3 replies. :) Looking forward to your replies.

Well, there's two ways to pronounce my name, depending on how you divide the syllables. The difference is very subtle, and it only affects how fast it comes off your tongue.

Story of my name:
Long ago, I was from Talk City, I created Dyzm by accident, it was spose to be Dzym, that Force Using Droch from SW The Crystal Star. Ageless, and able to drain your life, What Fun! But After A week of goofing off, I re-read the book and saw to my horror I misspelled it, So when I was recruited by TSC, And I obtained my first EZboard Name as Darth Dyzm, becuse by then, Dyzm had evolved into his own charachter.

AND ITS PRONOUNCED DIE-ZIM or DYE-ZMM! REMEMBER THAT!

Now I understand why no one likes me... they think my name sounds wussy... diz-um...

Diz-um would be the pronucuation of Dzym, Not Dyzm.Not really. "Y" often takes the form of other syllables. Often, a "Y" is pronounced as an "I", like in "Sky". So it would be "Diz-m", grammatically speaking. But I guess you can pronounce it however you like. William Butler Yeats was a bit confused on how to pronouce his name, too. :)
