The First Annual GJO Awards!!!

[Sage Hazzard]

Here are a list of catagories. Each poster gets to vote for one nomination in each catagory. When it's all tallied up, the top four or possibly five people in each catagory becomes an official nominee. Then a panel of judges will be selected that will vote on who gets the award out of the nominees. Simple, right? Here are the catagories, plus an explanation if needed.

Best RPer - The character that RPs the best. Seems to stick with the character the best, wins the most fights, etc. Things that have to do with the Roleplaying aspect of writing.

Best Writer - Best writer would be simply the most talented writer, the person who compells you to read more and makes you wish you were that good.

MHJ - Most Honored Jedi. Everyone nominated deserves to win, but there's someone that has to get it.

MDE - Most Dispised Evil character. Being evil's a compliment. The Sith/Dark Jedi that caused the most trouble during the past year.

Best Other - The characters that don't fall under the two above catagories

Best New RPer - (6 months)

Best New Writer - See above

The Humor Award - The one who split sides more than any other.

Funniest Thread

Lifetime Achievement - A time to award and honor the people who have made the most differance in the time these boards have been in place.

Best Couple

Smiley Overacheiver

Best Signature

Best Character

Voting ends Christmas day unless votes are still being handed in. Awards will be handed New Year's day or Eve, undecided.

Note: I need a volunteer to tally the votes. Thank you.

If you feel that a catagory should be removed/added, voice your opinion. If it's agreed by a large number of your peers, it might be added/removed.

Please, one voting post per person. Do not use multiple accounts to vote.

I added the new catagories. My thinking is that since I haven't gotten many votes yet that I should add the new catagories now before I do. It'd save a lot of people from having to vote again for the new catagories. And then if it's decided not to have a specific catagory, those votes will just be invalid. Saves time.

And Nup, I disagree. Best sig means that. Just because some asked Eve/Jes etc, why should they miss out? Also, how can you say who mades whos? Only ones you can be sure of are the ones who make sigs themselves, as theyd do it themselves(and that cant be guarenteed either)

[Edit: And on another note, I agree with Nup about the sigs. I don't really like that category much - there are too many reasons why, the main one being that the people who had Eve, Ogre, Cline, Myself, or any number of other sig makers design something for them are really getting credit for the work someone else did for them, and since often times you can't be sure about who made their own, It's my opinion that you just should kill the category...]

No, the idea is to pick which sig is the best. Simple as that

Sorry guys. I've been too busy with Christmas and New Years.

DeVille, could you please post the nominations? All the votes I've recieved have been forwarded to you. The deadline for nominations was extended so people could vote, since we had very few votes to do an award show with. We would have only had about two to three people in eace catagory. But atleast now, if you can post them LD, we'll have the nominations on New Years day. Then the voting by the judges(who need to be assigned) can take place. The truth is, I've been so busy I couldn't tally the votes. :(

I'm really quite busy in RL. And I have new characters I'm writing for in the time I do have online. Sorry.

My alternate characters I'm writing for are in actuality more enjoyable to write for than Sage. So my time on the internet is going towards them. I was trying to communicate that I didn't have time for OOC.
