View Full Version : I feel completely and utterly stifled.

On Tuesday I had a life-threatening flu where more water than I knew I had drank in the last two weeks came out of various orifices of my body. All because I went to a birthday party I didn't want to go to in the first place (neighbor's son turned 5 years old, and I decided to take a break from being introverted and be neighborly), and ate a plate of my neighbor's mother's vietnamese food while I was there. Of course, there was some sort of raw seafood in there, which escaped my notice. I've eaten Vietnamese food before-my friend Jimmy Ly's mom never cooked food that had raw seafood, and I certainly never came close to dying because my body believed that I had been poisoned. And I went over to Jimmy's house like every day for 6 years.

I've been waiting for sith training for 404 days, am not allowed to train apprentices, and I can't post at swfans.net because of a mysterious connection problem that I can't solve. I can't move forward with the Fondor thread because no one will support my Warlord Tossk character, and I've missed 4 days of the second week of college, and possibly my chance to transfer classes, because of the flu.

I can't reply to anyone's criticism regarding why TGE hasn't posted in the conquest threads, because I can't post.

Beyond that, my president has declared that Iran is a member of the Axis of Evil. The maternal side of my family is from Iran; most of them have moved to the U.S., but my Aunt has still been unable to get a Visa here, visit or otherwise. I'll be damned if I see her get killed accidently by an air raid on Teheran. Hell, I've already been unable to see my grandmother and grandfather before their Visa passes are processed (It takes 40+ years), and they both died from old age in '99 and '93, respectively. I hope that we do go into Iran, and replace that country's -DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR-ed up government with something that would make Persepolis proud. Hell, it's not like we're Arabs or anything; we talk regular, our clothes look alright, and a good Dariush CD can be pretty decent. Only contact my mom had with a camel was the last wednesday of every year, when you turn them into some kind of glue and then jump over them, but watch out for the weeds (???), as opposed to the Arabs.

I feel like bashing in the skulls of a variety of guinea pigs with a splinter-ridden 2x4.

Heh <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/smile.gif ALT=":)"> yes, he's got a knack for it.

Don't worry man...life's like a squib-kicked football. Eventually it bounces in your direction.

I'll do the Tossk post by myself if necessary as soon as my ISP gets its DNS tables in working order. Bear with me.

Heh yes, he's got a knack for it.
Practice makes perfect.

At the very least, the administration could have stated the goal would be to liberate the Iranian people from the Ayatollah and hand the government more fully to current President Khatami, who was elected through the use of *universal* suffrage (15 being the minimum voting age). He stated none of that, and now the Iranian people, who are almost completely pro-American, are left in the dark and without support, like some echo of George Bush Sr.'s betrayal of the Iraqi people during their uprising against Hussein.

It's so god damn frustrating! It took more than 20 years for those Iranians to chill out from their revolutionary phase, and my President ruins it in 1 hour of national television!
