Recently I've been consumed with the want for more Episode II information, spoilers, facts, etc. In my search I've come across message boards, and other places, that have seemed to bash Jar-Jar to no end. I just want to say this, as I've been thinking of it every since I saw The Phantom Menace, then heard the jackals try and tear the Gungan apat.

To me, Jar-Jar is a terrific character. Lynch me if you must. He's sweet, funny, and lovable. Although at times I found him too cutesy, my father(a tough guy) couldn't help but chuckle at his antics. He's fun and funny. Jar-Jar, I believe, is one half of the meaning of the Phantom Menace, Anakin is the second. Jar-Jar represents childhood and happiness, innocence and blessed ignorance. Anakin seems like he's growing up too quick, loosing his innocence. For god sakes, he competes in a Pod Race(a death defying endeavor) where he faces down deadly foes out to kill him. Jar-Jar brings it back to a happy place. It reminds us that Anakin is still a child, and what Vader is inside. Dare I say it, I think Darth Vader is Jar-Jar Binks under all that armor. I love the little guy, and I think he's perfect for the film. Plus I've heard many rumors that his importance is seen in Episode II. Seems like Uncle George has more than one ace up his sleeve.

So to all you bandwagon jumping, Jar-Jar bashing, puke inducing people, lighten up. Learn from Jar-Jar, life should be fun. It's okay to laugh at him, even like him, he's cool. Heck, I'm suprised he isn't a teen idol, on the cover of Tiger Beat.

::Sigh::
