De'Ville sat down at an empty sabacc table in the back of the bar, and watched the droid dealer flip through a deck of cards. The air was thick with a layer of cigarra smoke, and she was itching for a new game to start up.

There was one player she was expecting, but the other seats at the table were empty. De'Ville called for a drink, and waited. Patience was not her strong suit, but sabacc was worth waiting for. She had a lot to wager...and a lot to win, too.

The droid dealer was not programmed to play Sabacc, although he had participated in his fair share of games in the past. Sabacc had been around longer then most could remember and almost every sentient who's ever been to a bar has played at least one game of Sabacc in their natural life. The game Sabacc was comprised of a deck consisting of seventy six cards. These cards were made up of four suits: Sabres, Staves, Flasks, and Coins, and a set of face cards. The object of the game was to have the highest card total, which was less then or equal to twenty three.

G-MPD, oftenly referred to as simply Mudpit had offered to clean up the tables, despite the fact he did not work at Yogs. He did not work anywhere as a matter of fact. G-MPD was not owned by any Masters, though he had become recent partners with a Jedi named Nichos Marr. The Jedi was nice, but Mudpit often found himself picking up after Nichos. He didn't really mind anyway. His primary programming unit was to serve others. Since his activation, his internal circuits had been tinkered with by many sentients. G-MPD thanked the maker that he was still alive, each and every cycle.

The droid raised his insect shaped head slightly, at the sound of a newcomer. His optical sensors shot images to his mainframe circuits. He had never seen this woman before in his life. She had dark hair and dark eyes. The droid noted that she was probably an excellent fighter at a time. Currently, she looked as if she had just been through labor.

The droid decided he would stay and play a game of Sabacc. His skills were after all getting rusty. Sending an internal signal to his brain, a leg compartment just above his kneecap opened. Inside were five cred chits, two worth ten thousand credits, and the other three worth five thousand credits. His total amount of credits were thirty five thousand credits. During his jobs over the year, G-MPD had accumulated a healthy sum of money. If he needed it in this game, he would simply request a service droid fetch it for him. After all, the Galactic Bank of Arcan IV was close to the bar and grill.

"Good day Miss, would you like to begin playing now? Or are there more players arriving?"

OOC: I hope this isn't a closed thread. I just saw it and wanted to join. If you'd like this to stay closed, I'll have my post deleted.

OOC: Ditto.

Walks in and looks at the table and grins.

"Cards'll be the death of me."

The last time Hera had found her way to this Bar & Grill, she found some excitement she had not at all expected. A rampaging Jedi (http://pub56.ezboard.com/fgjofrm2.showMessage?topicID=912.topic) had certainly taken the whole bar by surprise. A cruel smile crossed her lips at the memory of it. Violence in any form was always entertaining to the sith.

But tonight, she was here for entertainment of another sort. Sabaac.

Hera more and more found the draw of the gaming table and gambling in general, hard to resist - and tonight held the promise of fortunes to be won. Her renewed acquaintance with Lady De'Ville at The Mynocks Nest (http://pub54.ezboard.com/funderneathcoruscantfrm2.showMessage?topicID=45.to pic) had only whetted her apetite for the game and was her reason for arriving tonight.

The Sith allowed her weapons to be checked into the area at the Bar specifically used for that purpose...all except the Morphal Crest (http://pub8.ezboard.com/ftheacropolisfrm10.showMessage?topicID=23.topic)wh ich hung unsuspiciously about her body like a type of adornement. It would not be needed tonight, but Hera never gave up anything she wasnt forced to.

Noting immediately the wickedly attractive woman sitting at a table to the right, joined by a droid and another individual, Hera crossed over the room to them. "Hello Lilaena"

Alphs steps into the bar, and immediately notices a game of Sabacc starting. The young Jedi Knight had never played the game, but he knew the rules well enough. It was time to test his beginner's luck at the game. He walks to the table, and asks, "Can I join in?"

ooc: completely open! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/smile.gif ALT=":)"> Welcome all! I have no idea how to RP a sabacc game, but there's always a first time! This is an experiment, a fun experiment. /ic:

Lilaena spoke to the droid, indicating that she was waiting for more players to show up. One by one they did. A human male took a seat, and she nodded to him. Hera Drenkast sat across from her. "Hello Lilaena."

De'Ville smiled slightly, "Drenkast, its about time you showed up." Hera nodded at her, and Lilaena tapped her fingertip on the table. This should be a very interesting game indeed.

A young male sat in another empty space, bringing the players to four. Lilaena looked around the large table, over the empty sabacc pot to the others. "Feel like waiting for more players? I want to win big tonight."

Smoke tickled her nostrils, and she held back a cough, waiting to see what the others would say. Four players was decent, but five or more and the pot would be huge. De'Ville was a gambler. It just had to be worth her while.

Hera turned steely eyes onto the young Jedi. "You got credits?"

Alpha motioned to the weighty bag clasped tightly in his hand.

With a snort, Hera didnt bother to reply, but it was obvious she welcomed him-or rather, the pile of money he brought with him-into the game.

Hera was hopping to win more than just money tonight though. People wagered many and varied items and that was what the Sith was interested in. Perhaps Hera would win that fancy looking droid..

She smiled at DeVille. She and Hera were alike in their enjoyment of gambling, and the evening no doubt would prove to be a rewarding one. Explaining her late arrival,"I dont come along this way ofte. Glad you didnt start without me."

Hera raised her hand to catch the waitress's attention. May as well have a drink while waiting to see if anyone else is interested in the game tonight.

"Rum - by the bottle"
