View Full Version : maverick, got the goods?

Blake Hawke
Dec 2nd, 2001, 11:08:35 PM
Blake walked into the B&G. Maverick had delivered a shipment to her last night that wasn't...satisfactory. Maverick being too drunk to reason with had prolonged their meeting till tonight. She slid into a corner table and waited for Maverick to notice her.

KMaverick
Dec 2nd, 2001, 11:11:22 PM
Maverick slowly made her way to Blakes table and sat down. "You want to lodge a complaint about last nights order?"

Blake Hawke
Dec 2nd, 2001, 11:16:38 PM
"Ya I do. It was worthless." Blake lit a cigarette and took a drag, blowing the smoke into Maverick's face. "Do you got the goods now?"

KMaverick
Dec 2nd, 2001, 11:45:17 PM
Maverick nodded and reached into her coat. She pulled out a small vile. "There's more where this came from...this one's simply a sample. 80 credits."

Blake Hawke
Dec 2nd, 2001, 11:53:52 PM
"80 credits! Are you crazy! Nobody'd pay 80 credits for that ammount!" Blake hissed. She took another drag of her cigarette.

KMaverick
Dec 3rd, 2001, 12:02:57 AM
"You're agitated Blake. Calm down, don't draw attention over here. You'll pay 80 credits because your anxious and Greg didn't come through. I know you've tried to contact Prent. How's the search for him going?"

Blake Hawke
Dec 3rd, 2001, 12:54:10 AM
Blade lauged. "Ha! I swear to god he's like a ghost. Doesn't exist. But that's why I need him. He can get the job done and dissapear...if I can find him. Besides, I think Greg will be held up for a while longer. Now back to our business. You don't want to cross onto my bad side Mav. You may end up on the list like Greg. I'll have to pay double for a two person job. But anyways...I need a new shipment Mav, a good one. The supply on my territory is runnin' dangerously low. My profits are suffering. That makes me mad. and when I get mad people die."

KMaverick
Dec 3rd, 2001, 02:50:11 AM
"Ha, that's a good one Blake. You know you've never killed anyone. But hey seriusly keep it down. I don't want to be found. I had a hard enough time breaking out alst time."

Blake Hawke
Dec 3rd, 2001, 02:53:18 AM
"Losing your touch Mav? I could take my business elsewhere if you think you can't handle it. The thing is I trust you Mav. Your good, you've got the whole youthlike innocence around you. How much for th ewhole shipment?"

KMaverick
Dec 3rd, 2001, 02:57:25 AM
Maverick let the question hang in the air. Then she leaned foreward and grabbed a cigarette out of Blakes front pocket. She lit up. "5000 credits upon deliverie."

Syrius Cline
Dec 3rd, 2001, 03:13:26 AM
Syrius Cline sat two tables away. His back was to them, so his face was concealed. He hadn't intended on doing his job tonight, his shift had ended, but he was always a detective. His ears were always trained on the surroundings, and today they were trained on those two ladies.

5,000 bloody credits?! That's more than I make in a month. Syrius thought to himself.

The detective waited and listened patiently, keeping his options open. He wasn't sure when to make a move. He could get them with possesion and intent to sell right now, but the payload would be bigger and better if he waited for the jackpot.

Blake Hawke
Dec 3rd, 2001, 03:22:47 AM
"5000 credits! Jesus you only asked for 4000 last shipment! Why the sudden increase?"

KMaverick
Dec 3rd, 2001, 03:25:58 AM
"Personal risks. I've got more than one out to get me. Plus this shipment's better quality. Listen I don't have a lot of time. Coming here wasn't the best meeting place. Are you in or not?"

Syrius Cline
Dec 3rd, 2001, 03:27:52 AM
Say yes, say yes! Syrius shouted to himself.

He'd make the move the moment she agreed.

Blake Hawke
Dec 3rd, 2001, 03:29:25 AM
Blake sighed. "If you don't deliver quality this time, you won't walk away from this job. I mean it Mav. And don't get me caught up in your affairs. I f I see a wanted poster of me I'm coming to kill you, understand? 5000 credits upon delivery. You're really pushing it." she it another cigarette.

KMaverick
Dec 3rd, 2001, 03:32:12 AM
"Is that a yes?"Mav glanced around,"Hurry up I want to close this deal. I have three deliveries and you're putting me behind."

Syrius Cline
Dec 3rd, 2001, 03:32:51 AM
Yes!

Syrius swiveled around his his chair and jumped out. He took the chain that hung under his shirt out, attached was his badge.

He played it cool unntil he got to their table, not attracting attention. He grabbed Maverick by the shoulder.

"Remember me, love? It's god. Time to turn you into a bloody teapot. You're under arrest."

KMaverick
Dec 3rd, 2001, 03:35:10 AM
Maverick turned in surprise. "bloody hell!" Instict caused her to get up to run. *this is great! real smooth mav!*

Syrius Cline
Dec 3rd, 2001, 03:37:53 AM
Syrius still had her by the shoulder. He threw her down, disregarding the "never hurt a lady" vow he silently took.

He tore the vile from her hand.

"Possesion, love. You'll get 10 years for that, minimum."

Syrius turned to Blake.

"Don't move, Blake, that is your name right? I'll get you for evadeing arrest if you do."

KMaverick
Dec 3rd, 2001, 03:39:56 AM
"It's not mine I swear!" Maverick insisted. *real original Mav he's gonna buy that*

Blake Hawke
Dec 3rd, 2001, 03:42:09 AM
Blake considered ignoring him. *Just tell him who you are Blake*. "It's Agent Hawke,"she flashed a badge,"I see you know Maverick. We've been trying to get her for years. Youngest one we know of."

Syrius Cline
Dec 3rd, 2001, 04:28:44 AM
Syrius put his foot on the small of Maverick's back. He exerted enough pressure to keep her still and yet not hurt her.

The detective rubbed the back of his neck. He doubted the true identity of Blake.

"Oh, really. Agent Hawke?"

Syrius couldn't get past one thing... If she was running a sting, why wait so long? She obvious had dealt the drugs with her in the past, why not bust her then?

"What part of Gamma Sycro to you work in?"

Blake Hawke
Dec 3rd, 2001, 11:36:16 AM
"I'm afraid I can't disclose that kind of imformation at the moment. Basically we deal with minors who have started their own "businesses" like Maverick here. It doesn't usually take so long but Mav is pretty tricky. We've been after her for, what is it 4 years? Is it 4 years Mav?" Blake asked the girl struggling on the floor.

KMaverick
Dec 3rd, 2001, 11:41:44 AM
"Ha! don't insult me! It's been 5 years, 6 months and 3 days!" Maverick realized her mistake in an instant. "I mean no! I'm not Maverick! You've got the wrong person, I've never even heard of this "maverick" dude!", she was trying (hopelessly) to get up but it was impossible," Hey get off me! I want a lawyer! I have rights y'know!" she was raising her voice to a near shout in her panic.

Blake Hawke
Dec 3rd, 2001, 11:48:23 AM
"Maverick do be quiet. I don't think you want to mess with this one. And don't try bribing him either." she turned back to face Syrius,"You might want to search her ship. I'm betting there's some good stuff in there."

Syrius Cline
Dec 3rd, 2001, 02:05:12 PM
"I'll do just that, in a bit."

Syrius could hardly contain himself. There was no such thing as Gamma Sycro. But she didn't exactly say she was part of the false group .

"Well, Agent Blake, nice to meet you, love. I work for the Republic Security Corp. you've heard of it, right?" Syrius was partly testing her.

Syrius reaches into his trench coat and pulls out a pair of handcuffs. Before he cuffs anybody though he draws out a cigarette from his pocket. He places it in his mouth.

"Care to offer a light, love?"

Morgan Evanar
Dec 3rd, 2001, 06:05:32 PM
"No smoking on the premesis." Morgan's voice was quite cold and "uncharacteristic" of a Jedi. Hawke's cigarette snuffed out by an unseen force.

"Furthermore, I fail to see your evidence of authority. Either of you." he stated more loudly than would be prudent for normal conversation as he stood to his full two meter height. Slowly, he met each of their eyes with a pair of evergreen stares in the dead of winter.

"Let her up." Morgan inclined his head to the youth on the floor who still squirmed beneath Cline's foot. He frowned, but figured it would be easier to let the guy have his way. Maverick stood and started for the door. Gently, the Jedi Knight lifted her by her shoulders and put her back into the middle.

"Now everyone is going to play nice and explain exactly what is going on. And all of you are going to be honest about it. Cline, you start."

KMaverick
Dec 3rd, 2001, 07:48:18 PM
"Hey! I know you! You're the guy from the gardens!" Maverick exclaimed.

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 3rd, 2001, 09:23:11 PM
General James T. Tohmahawk came out from the alcove, gun in hand.

"I dont think Morgan is interested in gardens right now. He's asked a rather pointed and relavent question. Now I wouldn't mind hearing the answer as well, becuase I'm completely failing to recognise any of you. Explain very quicky and very well"

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 12:40:53 AM
"Well hello to you to! I'm Maverick and I've been falsely accused by this guy and double crossed by her!"

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 4th, 2001, 12:49:33 AM
The gun moved, to be pointing at Maverick

"Oh? Set up is it? Why do I somehow doubt this completely? Hands on head and don't move. And you two, I'm still waiting for your credentials. Or I arrest all of you right now"

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 12:58:46 AM
"Hey wait a minute! I'm innocent! You can't threaten me without proof! I'll sue!" Maverick exlaimed rebelliously

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 4th, 2001, 01:37:42 AM
The soldier moved faster than the eye could follow, using his free hand to punch Maverick in the face, before speaking

"This is MY protectorate under MY law! Now if I dont have some answers, your all going to be locked up in the worst cell I can find!"

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:06:38 AM
"Bloody hell! Dammit that hurt!" Maverick put her hand up to her face. "You really have to learn to control your anger."

Blake Hawke
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:10:39 AM
Blake sighed. "Maverick shutup before you get yourself in deeper trouble.," she turned to the man,"I'm Agent Blake Hawke of the MSAC. I'm afraid I can't supply anymore information without endangering the lives of my other colleauges." she showed him her badge.

Syrius Cline
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:13:41 AM
Syrius was completely frustrated. He intended to hand cuff Blake once she came into light the cigarette, that obviously was not going to happen.

"First off, mate, I'm not a bloody Jedi." Syrius said with a snort at Morgan.

Syrius turned to Tohmahawk.

"I'm an officer of the law. I have evidence..." Syrius refers to the vile in his hand. "That these two ladies are dealing in illegal drugs. I've got no gun mate, I don't carry a peice, and I'm just doing my job. I apprehended this lady the only way I could. She was evading arrest and I had no weapon to point with, I had to use force."

Syrius rubbed his eyes with his hand as he sighed. This was supposed to be an off day.

"I intend to take her into custody. If she informs me of a few of contacts, and offers to testify against them, she might get off with probation on a plea." Syrius paused. "Now, please, let me do my bloody job."

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:15:29 AM
"Hey! I don't think attacking innocent bystanders is part od your job!" Maverick told Syrius

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:18:27 AM
"YOU ARE IN MY ZONE OF COMMAND AND IF YOU BACKCHAT ME AGAIN, I'LL SHOW I HAVE NOT EVEN BEGUN TO LOSE MY TEMPER! NOW, EXPLAIN THIS AT ONCE!"

He turns towards Blake

"And you can try again. My name is Major General James Tohmahawk, Commander of the New Republic Special Forces and as such all your so called prootocols are hereby overridden with immediate effect. And as I am by far the outranking officer on this planet, I will have none of this excuse of endangering others. Have I made myself clear?"

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:20:37 AM
"two words. anger. management." Maverick muttered under her breath.

Syrius Cline
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:25:25 AM
Syrius Cline swallowed deep.

"Crystal. However, I'd like to ask you something... What do you intend to do about these drug dealers? My understanding is that these two have been doing drug trafficing for some time now, and I don't intend to stand idly by. I never endangered anyone, I have no gun and I had the situation under control. If I had let them go, I would endanger the lives of millions of hapless drug junkies."

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:27:08 AM
"Syrius, this is my zone of command. Any operatives of the Republic report to me by defualt. Now if you dont mind producing some proper identifycation, I'll aloow you to go about your duty"

Blake Hawke
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:28:19 AM
"Yes sir. Basically my colleuges and I try to catch minors who have dtarted up their own "businesses". I've been trying to get Maverick for roughly 5 years. I was currently undercover as are my colleuges at the moment."

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:30:28 AM
Maverick shook her head. "What is the galaxy coming to? Now law officials can take innocent teenagers into custody? I'd hate to see them when their in a bad mood. This would make a great news story. INNOCENT TEEN BEATEN FOR CRIMES SHE DID NOT COMMIT!"

Syrius Cline
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:32:40 AM
"Smashing."

Syrius was relived that this ogre wouldn't boot him from here to Tatooine.

"Here you go... sir." Syrius added the sir to get on his good graces.

Syrius untied the chain around his neck and handed the badge to the General. It read as follows:

Republic Security Corp
Detective Syrius Cline
Badge No. 8625

"You can run that badge number through Republic Command if you like... sir."

Syrius almost saluted. He was a bumbling fool in the face of Army types. They could kick his bony butt anyday.

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:33:00 AM
"There are Jedi here. Dont be too hasty to proclaim your innocence, least one of them reads you mind"

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:34:13 AM
"IF they read my mind, I'll sue them for manipulation." maverick said smugly

Syrius Cline
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:39:12 AM
OOC - Tohmahawk, my post's above your's. I posted 20 seconds before you, you might of missed it.

Let's try and wait 2 minutes before posting after someone.

Blake Hawke
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:42:05 AM
Blake rubbed her forehead. "Maverick, for your own safety shutup now.," she turned back to the man," try to ignore her. she's 17 and stupid."

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:45:20 AM
"HEY! I am not stupid! I'm INNOCENT,"she said "innocent" while looking at the man and Syrius,"but I'm not stupid!"

Blake Hawke
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:54:07 AM
it was taking all Blake's control not to smack Maverick. "I don't think she likes you very much." she muttered to Syrius

Morgan Evanar
Dec 4th, 2001, 03:02:02 AM
Morgan had put the badge and name of Cline into his data pad, beamed it to his ship's driod, who interfaced with NR's database. The information provided was legit.

"Hawke, quiet please. Maverick, shush."

"He checks out." the Jedi Knight stated, inclining his head twoard Cline.

"And Tohmahawk, please put that damn thing away." There was a loud grunt of dissastisfaction as the rail gun slid into it's holster.

"Hawke, we are going to need some form of ID that can put you into an official position, or we will detain you for questioning. And some of the guys who do questioning around here sometimes make him..." he pointed at the NRSF commander "...seem like a friendly grandma."

Syrius Cline
Dec 4th, 2001, 03:24:01 AM
Syrius smiled wide. He'd wait to ask if he could continue on with his buisness until the Blake matter was dealt with.

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 03:24:45 AM
"Oh so now YOUR telling me to be quiet. Wonderfull government we have. Detain you for absolutely no reason and then refuse to let you speak!"

Blake Hawke
Dec 4th, 2001, 03:31:23 AM
"certainly." Blake grabbed her badge again and handed it over to Morgan. Blake Hawke
MSAC
Minor Substance Abuse Control

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 03:33:43 AM
Maverick turned to face Syrius. "I can prove I'm innocent. You can't search my ship without a warrant and you won't find anything anyways. You've got nothing on me."

Syrius Cline
Dec 4th, 2001, 03:37:37 AM
Syrius raised his hand.

"General, if I may request something... I'd like to be allowed to take this young lady...." Nods towards Maverick. "In for questioning. She seems to know something about a man named 'Sanis Prent', if I heard the conversation they were having properly. He's a legend in the Republic, we haven't been able to apprehend him yet, a first for the R.S.C. This is partly because he hides well. If I can find him, I can smoke him out and put a major criminal behind bars."

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 03:38:59 AM
"I don't know anything! I'm a complete blank!" Maverick shouted.

Syrius Cline
Dec 4th, 2001, 03:41:21 AM
Syrius leaned into face Maverick in the eye.

"Listen, little girl... If you cooperate, I'll let you off on a plea. Probation."

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 03:42:44 AM
Maverick was tempted. "Well I might remember something. But what makes you think I'll tell you all of a sudden?"

Syrius Cline
Dec 4th, 2001, 03:46:46 AM
Syrius smiled coyly. He loved this job.

"Hmmm.... That's a toughie." Syrius said sarcasticly. "I'm not sure love, ten years without sunlight, or probation. Which would you prefer?"

Syrius still had the vile in his hand.

"I have your fingerprints and your dna, love. I bet you have many an outstanding warrant on your arrest too. I can clear them all if you just tell me what I need to know."

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 4th, 2001, 04:45:41 AM
"How about one of these Jedi just strip her mind bare? Why waste time with a plea bargin?"

Good cop, bad cop. Heh, I like this game

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 11:45:08 AM
"Ha! There won't be fingerprints on there! It's not mine and even if it was I wouldn't be stupid enough to leave fingerprints all over. I've learned a few things and one is to eliminate as many sources of identification as possible. Now if you don't mind I have places to be and people to avoid, so I think I better get out of here before they come and attempt to kill me yet again."

Morgan Evanar
Dec 4th, 2001, 02:42:50 PM
Again, Morgan gently placed Maverick back in the center.

"Kid, you aren't leaving Arcan for a while. You don't want to continue this sort of lifestyle. Trust me, the last thing you want is a shoot on sight in the CSA." He stared hard at her as someone who knew how it was to be hunted.

"So who is trying to kill you?"

Syrius Cline
Dec 4th, 2001, 06:18:28 PM
"No, Tohmahawk, we wouldn't want to do that. I hear Jedi, when they do that sort of thing, completely deform the brain." Syrius smiled. "She's better off talking."

Syrius was concearned about the girls safety. Even though he was after the bigger fish, Sanis, he would be putting her into a dangerous position.

"Listen here, love." Syrius rubbed his chin and paused.... "If you talk, and agree to help me, I'll protect you. I'll try and assign a body gaurd, or I'll do it myself. The Republic wants Prent behind bars, and I want him behind bars. I'd be willing to do what ever it takes to make you talk."

Syrius winked at Tohmahawk. "Even this lad's idea."

OOC - Maverick, check your e-mail if you could.

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 4th, 2001, 07:02:04 PM
"Oh, Prent yes, we wouldn't mind catching him. But she's gonna have to talk real fancy to convince me throwing her to the wolves ins'nt a bad idea" growled Tohamahawk. "Fact is, I heard one of them goons skinned a man alive cause they been caught. Couldn't find enough to scrape together afterwards. Must have been real bad."

Tohmahawk caught the wink, but kept his face scowled over. "Still, anyone would expect worse if they tried anything not to my liking here. Your staying right here in this bar, surrounded by the meanest troops in the Galaxy until we decide what to do with you"

Alright if Syrius thinks it's important, we'll protect this girl

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 08:13:59 PM
"Whose trying to kill me? Do you want the list randomly or in alphabetical order? And I happen to like my lifestyle. It's very rewarding." she turned to the general," And no respect meant here but your troops are nothing compared to some of the creeps out to get me. I might be able to pass along some info if you wipe out my warrants...all of them... but then again, I don't know anything." Maverick said. *dammit! where the hell is my blaster?* she was trying to remember if she had it on her or if it was on her ship.

Morgan Evanar
Dec 4th, 2001, 09:26:37 PM
Morgan pulled the smaller blaster out from behind his massive Desert Eagle.

"This? I took it away the first time you moved for the door. Now that we seem to know who is who, I want to know what you were trying to move. Whats in the vial?"

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 09:30:19 PM
"Why would I know whats in the vile? It's not mine remember?" Maverick retorted

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 4th, 2001, 10:47:29 PM
"Oh, she says my troops wouldn't stand a chance? Well, I guess they would have something to say about that!"

He leaned closer

"Let me tell you something miss. There isn't a Jedi in this bar or planet I cant turn into mash. I've fought things worse than your nightmares. Whatever's after you is only a minor irritant to aanyone of the NRSF"

He stood up again and rollled his eyes.

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 11:00:05 PM
"You have no idea what's in my nightmares. I know people that you'll only dream about catching. I know who killed who and how, when where and why. So dont stand there and talk to me about my life as if I know nothing." Maverick hissed.

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 4th, 2001, 11:23:00 PM
The General actually laughed.

"Dont over rate yourself. You came in here with this vial - a Jedi Bar this place is too and you seem to be bringing down a deal. That says to me you have a lot to learn and in your innocence, your yet to meet the true terrors of the Galaxy. Like to come with me and meet some, if your got the courage?"

KMaverick
Dec 4th, 2001, 11:26:20 PM
"Coming here was not my idea but I had no choice. It was a way to rid myself of one more problem. And I have more courage than you'll ever know. So back off."

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 5th, 2001, 12:41:58 AM
"Back off? Me?"

The General indicated Morgan

"Ask him I back off - on anyone or anything"

KMaverick
Dec 5th, 2001, 12:55:11 AM
"I'm not asking. I'm telling. You don't scare me despite what you may think." Maverick said coldly.

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 5th, 2001, 01:32:51 AM
"Wrong. I'm telling YOU. My command this is and you are now under arrest. You can come quietly..."

His hand moves to his holster

"or in pieces. Your choice"

OOC : Just want to make clear, I'm just being in character and there is no offence intended, nor is this personal in any way. Tohmahawk is IC a right ass and also very violent.

Syrius Cline
Dec 5th, 2001, 01:40:29 AM
Syrius was growing weary of this. Her head was thicker than a Tattoine Smoothie.

"You silly, stupid little girl. If these blokes are half as bad as you're trying to get off, than they'll likely to 'off' you at one point or another! This man is obviously not one to bluff." Syrius jerked his thumb at Tohmahawk. "Now if he says that we can protect you, we can."

Syrius ran his hands through his hair, and groaned loudly. He then messed up his hair in frustration.

"Listen love, I don't know much about the Armed Forces, I'm a detective, I don't deal with the Armed Forces. And I certainly know less about Jedi. But I do know that they kick serious Bantha behind, and they don't take -DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR--DO-NOT-SWEAR-e of any mate. If anyone can save your sorry, worthless behind, it's us!"

Morgan Evanar
Dec 5th, 2001, 01:40:31 AM
Damnit. Now James was annoyed, and things never went easy when he was annoyed.

"Whether your scared or not is besides the point. Fact of the matter, we have enough evidence to confiscate everything you own. Aye, your in deep. And you'd better do as the man says."

Morgan shot the NRSF commander a look that asked "Please put the damned gun away?"

"If it's alright with you, I have an idea."

Syrius Cline
Dec 5th, 2001, 01:43:44 AM
OOC - I posted this as you two were posting. I modified it to go after Morgan's post.

"Hold on one sec, mate."

Syrius was growing weary of this. Her head was thicker than a Tattoine Smoothie.

"You silly, stupid little girl. If these blokes are half as bad as you're trying to get off, than they'll likely to 'off' you at one point or another! This man is obviously not one to bluff." Syrius jerked his

Syrius paused.

"Go ahead mate." Syrius looked at Maverick. "Shut your hole and listen."

OOC - Don't worry about Mav. I talked to her OOC.

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 5th, 2001, 01:51:10 AM
OOC : Cool :-)

IC : "Gah. Frelling spoilsport"

Morgan knew Tohmahawk too well. Once the man's temper was up, he had a tendancy to follow through with his threats in the fastest and most violent manner.

It really took someone whom Tohmahawk respected, like Morgan, to get him to back off.

"Alright Evanar, what's your idea?"

Maverick sat for a moment thinking things over. "I'll give you some info. But get one thing straight. I'm not scared."

OOC: Syrius, I replied to your e-mail

Morgan Evanar
Dec 5th, 2001, 03:06:01 AM
Morgan whispered quietly into James' ear for a moment, but did not erase the scowl. It wasn't supposed to. Besides, the man enjoyed playing bad cop.

He stooped down to Maverick's eye level.

"So you are willing to share some information?"

KMaverick
Dec 6th, 2001, 02:42:54 AM
"Possibly. If you let me off with a plea, probation."

Syrius Cline
Dec 6th, 2001, 03:04:20 AM
Syrius shaked his head with frustration.

"I said you'd get your plea, love."

Syrius smiled.

"And you already agreed to talk, remember? A verbal agreement is legally binding on this world. Right Tohmahawk?"

Of course that only applies to business agreements, and he wasn't sure if the law was on this world or if it had to be a written agreement. But he was hoping Maverick wouldn't be the wiser.

"Continue on with your idea Jedi, she'll talk." Syrius said glaring at Maverick.

Morgan Evanar

"I'd like your list. I think that would be a very good place to start. And if you can supply anything extra besides the name, you get cookies."

Morgan grinned wide, with a slight hint of sarcasm.

"Really good cookies. And maybe cookies baked with a pardon. Maybe. We'll see."

KMaverick
Dec 6th, 2001, 06:27:51 PM
"I can give you a few. The others I'm keeping to myself. They're valuble customers when they're not trying to kill me and I didn't agree to sell out everybody I know. I don't care what you do to me, but I feel I owe them my silence for keeping theirs." Maverick paused waiting for their reactions.

Syrius Cline could scream at her for days, she was driving him insane. He sighed and tried to speak in a calm voice.

"Tell us about Prent..." Syrius' face curved into a smile. "I'll squeeze the other's on your list out later."

Syrius put his hand on her shoulder and applied a hint of pressure to show her the serious magnitude in his next sentence.

"If you do not tell us the information we want to know in the next minute, the plea is void."

KMaverick
Dec 7th, 2001, 02:45:12 AM
Maverick smiled slightly. They were getting frustrated.
"Well believe it or not it all starts with "agent hawke". There is no MSAC and she's not an agent. I work for her. A while ago another one of her employees kept a valuble shipment to himself and hightailed it out of here. She was quite upset. She was going to hire Prent to get the stuff back for her and inflict some damage on Greg. I followed her a few times to Prents club. Nice place too. If I'm not mistaken she was heading out there tonight after our little meeting. I'll bet you anything she's trying to warn him right now. "

Syrius Cline
Dec 7th, 2001, 02:52:53 AM
Syrius swiveled his head around both ways.

That dirty little -- I knew it! I knew she was a fake. Should have cuffed her. I would have if the Jedi hadn't came and ruined by cigarette plan. Syrius yelled at himself in his thoughts frequently.

"Bloody hell, love...." Syrius rubbed his neck. "We can't bust his nightclub, he porbably has guards up the wazoo. Do you have a docking number, plate number, I'll even take where he likes to walk his dog." The last bit was for drama only, he porbably didn't have pets. If he did, that was one more mutt he had to deal with.

OOC - Okay guys, I agreed to imagine that Hawke sneaked out while we were arguing. It's the only way this would work. Since no one actually ran her badge number through the system(i believe it was only my number that was scanned), it's plausable that she lied. I think she just forgot to say she sneaked out, like she should have in a post. But please accept this as part of the RP.

KMaverick

"I can get to his ship, Layla. And I never saw any guards at the club, though who knows what Blake is telling him" Maverick said reluctantly

Syrius Cline
Dec 7th, 2001, 04:08:34 AM
Syrius shaked his head...

"He'll beef security, no doubt." Syrius said solemnly.

Syrius reached out his hand to shake Maverick's. When she reached for it Syrius whipped the cuffs he still had in his hands on her. They clicked, locking. Syrius pulled her hard to a chair and cuffed the other end to it.

"Sorry, love. I have to keep you put while I talk to these two." Syrius said sincerely.

Syrius walked over to Morgan and Tohmahawk. They walked away from Maverick a bit as Syrius lead them. Syrius whispered his sentences.

"Okay Mates, I think she might talk to her employer, so she can't hear what I have to say. Tohmahawk...." Syrius looked the intimidating man in the eyes. "I need your help. I never ask for help but there's a first time for everything. I need back-up, and you can supply that." Syrius looked at Morgan. "Your welcome to join the party as well Jedi, if you like...."

Syrius paused.

"I have to raid Prent's ship if the lad's right about being able to locate it. I'll do it by myself if I have to. The R.S.C. only has one member currently, myself, and a few prospects that are untrained. I need help... but I'll understand if you don't want to offer it."

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 7th, 2001, 09:46:13 AM
"Offer to help? Refuse? You have to be joking. I dint know if your aware Agent, but this is at present the headquarters of the Special Forces. It does not matter what Prent thinks he can array - plus, meet a special friend of mine. Ever seen what a Rail Gun can do?"

He lowered his voice further.

"The locals here detest criminals Syruis. If they knew where Prent was, they would lynch him. If he's on this planet, just tell me and I'll give the orders we need.

Syrius Cline
Dec 7th, 2001, 04:28:55 PM
Syrius' face twisted into an odd smile. He didn't know that the NRSF was based on this planet, it must have been classified, or just with held from his knowledge.

"I don't believe Prent is on the planet, he's more than likely off world..."

Syrius' smile grew more.

"What if I could lure him here? Could you form a blockade to trap him?"

OOC - Tohmahawk, we should talk OOC. You get too many e-mails now I'm sure, so let's do it another way. Would you like to come to my board and post in the locked forum "Behind Closed Doors?" If so, I'll allow you in. Morgan, if you're in as well I'll do the same for you.

KMaverick

Maverick pulled on the cuffs. "Hey! Hey! Get these off of me! HEY!" she yelled. They ignored her and she cussed. *great...i need a hairpin or something...* she reached behind her head, looking for something to use. When her hand came upon a pin she smiled triumphantly. Trying not to look too suspicious she bent the pin so it woulkd fit into the lock. *c'mon...c'mon...* she coaxed herself

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 7th, 2001, 09:15:17 PM
OOC : Ummm, where is you board then?

IC : Like he had eyes in the back of his head, his arm reached over and casually plucked the hairpin out of her hand.

"Sorry miss, it's for you own good. The guards around here would gun you down if you tried to run and I have the feeling I would regret that"

Turning to Syruis, he nodded. "I could blockade this planet so well, not an insect could escape"

Sergeant Tyle
Dec 7th, 2001, 10:04:35 PM
Sergeant Tyle's solid frame came storming into the bar. Flanked by two NRSF troopers, the haggard officer approached Tohmahawk, saluting crisply.

Sir, we received word at the barracks of a commotion at these coordinates. Is any assistance needed for a lockdown?

Captain Tohmahawk
Dec 7th, 2001, 11:55:29 PM
"Yep, lockdown Tyle. But do it quietly."

Syrius Cline
Dec 8th, 2001, 01:33:06 AM
Syrius rubbed his chin.

"So I'm figuring I lure him here to the planet, ring you, then you can uncover the blockade. It'll need to be hidden so he doesn't see it when he arrives. If you think this is an appropriate idea Tohmahawk, I can get someone on it right away. I have a friend, well rather an associate that might be willing to use himself as bait. Not many people know him so he can slip undercover easily. He's a republic rep, name of Jenre Phrise. He works for the Justice Division of the Republic. Give me a green light if this is a go."

Syrius sighed as he looked back at Maverick.

"Wait a minute..."

Syrius walked over to the disgruntled Maverick.

"Listen love, I need to know if this is possible. Do you believe your little friend, Hawke, would be gullible enough to accept a Comm Call from you. If so I need you to ring her, you do have her number right?... If you do, call her now, tell her you need Sanis' comm link, that you have a new buisness partner that has buisness for him. The man's name is Phrise, and he wants me rubbed out. Then give me the comm link provided."

Syrius handed Maverick his comm link. "Do it, no funny stuff."

Syrius walked back over to Tohmahawk.

"I'm figuring that Hawke will want me dead enough, since I'm on her scent now, that she'll ignore her common sense and give her it. Then I'll have Phrise make the call. Does this idea seem sound to you?"

OOC - The link should be in my signature. I'll allow you in now and post a thread for you to reply in.

KMaverick
Dec 8th, 2001, 03:59:53 AM
Maverick laughed. "Do you honestly believe that Blake is gonna accept a call from me? now? Jesus Christ she's not stupid. She does this anytime one of us gets caught. Saves herself and waits to see whether we made it out okay...from a distance. She ain't going to answer if I call her. But... I could go to headquaters and see if she'll talk in person."

Syrius Cline
Dec 9th, 2001, 01:26:58 AM
Syrius sighed.

"What do you think mate, should we put a trace on her? Maybe a wire as well? Then perhaps she could be allowed to go...." Syrius Cline remembered... "I don't have any equipment like that currently."

OOC - Would the post be on another board, or would the thread be placed here put take place in another location... or perhaps SWFans.net?

KMaverick
Dec 9th, 2001, 01:46:23 AM
OOC: Blake has a board where mavericks quaters are as well as a bar and such. We could post it there

Syrius Cline
Dec 9th, 2001, 01:49:03 AM
OOC - Okay, I guess. I need to know if Tohmahawk would agree to this, IC and OOC. That way Syrius will have back-up in case Blake tries something. We could hide in a van or something.

Or maybe it'd be best if Tohmahawk stayed here, I go, then Jenre can call Prent. Then Tohmahawk can be here to get things in place. Sound good?

KMaverick
Dec 9th, 2001, 01:50:46 AM
OOC: sure...just tell me when you want the noard address. I'll e-mail you any passwords you may need

Sergeant Tyle
Dec 9th, 2001, 06:54:32 PM
Tyle turned, making a brief hand gesture to the men at the door. One activated a commlink, speaking lowly into it, while another took up a position outside. Tyle began walking around, eyeing any spots that security might be compromised in. All throughout the city, his teams were setting up check points discreetly.

Syrius smacks his own head.

"Nevermind. I got a whole shipment of that stuff from Phrise."

Syrius wispers to Tohamahawk.

"I'll be in contact. Get your men ready for when Sanis comes waltzing it."

Syrius turned to Maverick.

"Let's go kid."

Syrius unlocked her handcuffs and walked her out the door.

OOC - Okay Mav, e-mail me whatever you need to. syriuscline@yahoo.com

Tohmahawk, we have to move forward. So I'm going to go ahead and go to Blake's board. But the deal with the blockade when it's time is still in place, right? It's just that I want to get this thing moving.

KMaverick
Dec 16th, 2001, 04:30:45 AM
"Hey! Where are you taking me? I want to know whats going on or else I won't go with you!" Maverick shouted as she struggled to break away from Cline's grip

OOC: Keb's being really nice and letting me use his computer...we have an audience actually...all four of "us" are here

Syrius Cline
Dec 16th, 2001, 04:39:04 AM
Syrius sighed, while at the same time tightening his grip.

"The little liar's lair." Syrius quiped, refering to Blake Hawke's HQ. "No talking on the ship ride either or I'll stuff my sock in your mouth."

Syrius pulled here out the doors.

OOC - You do? It's 1:36 here in the Central time zone, down in the South. That'd be awesome to have all my friends over late night and hang out online at the RP boards.

Say hi for me. Wait, they're all there.... Hi.

KMaverick
Dec 16th, 2001, 04:45:36 AM
Maverick struggled all the way out. "Hey you can't tell me to be quiet! I have rights! And would you mind loosening up with the grip? It's really hard to move!"

OOC: yea it's only 11:51 here. Jake says "hi"...well actually he's a little drunk and I can't make out what he's saying but I'm pretty sure it was somewhere along the lines of "hi"

Syrius Cline
Dec 16th, 2001, 04:54:28 AM
"That's the point, love."

Syrius bends over and starts unlacing his right boot.

"I have a sock for you, and plenty of electrical tape. Oh, and I've been working up quite a sweat. So, I suggest you invoke you're 'right to remain silent'."

OOC - If you slur your "hi" then you know you're drunk. :lol

KMaverick
Dec 16th, 2001, 05:02:32 AM
Maverick opened her mouth to reply but one look from Syrius and she wisely chose to remain silent. Although she wasn't talking she kept glaring at him darkly and trying to jerk away which only caused her to stumble. A new tactic popped into her mind and she all of a sudden stopped walking and let herself fall to the ground.

OOC: lol! we're restraining him from trying to jump out the window...he's way past his limit

Syrius Cline
Dec 16th, 2001, 05:09:35 AM
Syrius laughed.

"Have it your way, love."

Syrius let go. Just as Maverick gave a sigh of relief Syrius bent over and tossed her over his shoulder. She was pretty light.

OOC - Is he over the legal drinking age?

KMaverick
Dec 16th, 2001, 05:15:50 AM
That was enough to break Mavericks silence despite Syrius' earlier warnings. "Hey! You can't do this! put me down! now!" she screamed, hitting Syrius' back and causing people to stop and stare.

OOC: uhhhh yea...of course...

Syrius stopped.

"Republic Security Corp, Syrius Cline."

He flashed his badge.

"If you lay one hand on me, you're locked up along side her. She's been running drugs."

Syrius turned his head to look at Maverick. He remembered that she was over his shoulder, it was her backside.

"Don't make this harder on me, love. You're getting a good deal. Stop arguing. Just do what you've agreed.

KMaverick
Dec 17th, 2001, 02:25:37 AM

Syrius Cline
Dec 17th, 2001, 02:30:30 AM
The girl was so annoying you had to do what she asked or else your ears would fall of.

Syrius put her down. If she did run, she couldn't be THAT fast, right? Of course Syrius didn't carry a gun so he'd have a foot race on his hands in that case.

"Alright, behave."

Syrius pointed at his ship.

"Walk."

KMaverick
Dec 17th, 2001, 02:39:19 AM
Maverick walked slowly in order to have time to think. *which is worse? this guy or Blake? this guy...or Blake...* her mind was decided after a run through of all Blake's previous paybacks. She started walking at a normal pace towards Clines ship, trying to get him to relax. Just as they neared the ship she took off down a side street. *goodbye mr.cline!* she thought with a gri as she pushed herself to run harder.

Syrius Cline
Dec 17th, 2001, 02:47:49 AM
This girl was dead.

Syrius picked up a fist size stone before sprinting after her. He was in excellent shape, any detective that didn't believe in weapons had to be in good shape. He cut the gap quickly. He was now close enough.

"You stupid--"

Syrius hurled the stone. It slammed into her foot, tripping her. She fell. The force of hitting the ground with that much speed banged her up pretty good. Syrius got to her quickly.

"You're lucky I wasn't aiming for the head."

He cuffed her, putting his knee in her back out of anger. One cuff was on her wrist, one on his. He messed up her hair to make sure no more hair pins were hidden.

"You have asked without speaking for me to treat you hostilly. No more speaking, none. You're now a prisoner. And you will do what you agreed or you will be locked up for as long as possible. You've violated atleast four laws as it is, don't test me."

Syrius leaned in close to her head, which was still on the ground.

"Grunt if you understand."

KMaverick
Dec 17th, 2001, 02:54:29 AM
Maverick swore as he cuffed her. "I don't grunt."she managed to say when he leaned in. "And I don't take orders from anyone, least of all you. So I'll talk as much as and whenever I want to!"

Syrius Cline
Dec 17th, 2001, 04:12:00 AM
"Of course love, of course."

---------------

Minutes later Maverick's mouth was effectivly taped shut and she was tied to a chair. Syrius' ship was powering up. He walked over to her, hands on hips.

"Don't make me regret this."

Syrius gingerly undid the tape, trying not to hurt her. He wasn't entirely heartless.

"Now, would you please tell me where Blake's HQ is, I need coordinates. Sanis Prent is a very bad man. He's killed people, and will kill again. You're saving lives here, do the right thing. What are the coordinates?"

KMaverick
Dec 17th, 2001, 08:57:07 PM
"Oh come on...Prent's not that bad. I mean, if that's how you define "bad" then everybody at Hawke Corperations is bad. If you think about it, bad is more of a moral term..." she trailed off as Syrius gave her a stern look. She considered not giving him the coordinates...she could handle lockup, Blake would get her out, always did. But the question was, how far could she push this guy? "What if I don't feel like giving them to you? It could ruin business for me." she said slowly.

Syrius Cline
Dec 18th, 2001, 01:49:08 AM
"Listen love, your life will change after today no matter what you do. You refuse to give me the coordinates and you go to jail for 20 some odd years, in maximum security none the less. Or you give me the coordinates, you follow what we agreed, and I let you go. All your warrants are clean, Hakwe never has to know you snitched and...."

Syrius was already regretting what he was to propose.

"And no probation, you'll be free. So... a little recap. Cooperate, you're free and better than before. Don't cooperate, you're screwed."

Syrius mockingly pondered.

"Hmmm... Which to choose, which to choose..."

KMaverick
Dec 18th, 2001, 02:05:40 AM
"I'm going to hold you to that. If you could just untie me, I would get my address book out and check the current location of HC. Just untie me." Maverick repeated.

Syrius Cline
Dec 18th, 2001, 03:41:36 AM
Syrius paused.

"Don't make me regret this."

He untied the knots.

"Make yourself at home I suppose. I have to treat prisoners with some hospitality or else I get a good thrashing from the Senate."

Syrius turned to go to the cockpit. The preflight warm up was done and lift off was the only thing left.

"The doors are locked, love." Syrius said with a smile, he was assuming she'd look for another daring escape.

KMaverick
Dec 18th, 2001, 03:48:04 AM
She glared at him but stopped her inspection of the exits. Sighing she reached into her back pocket and pulled out a worn black book. She was about to hand Syriuis the book but then thought better of it. After all, there were potential clients in there. Flipping through the pages she found the one she was looking for and ripped it out. "There. All the info you need is on there. Except the pascode to her room. You wwon't find that anywhere. Are you happy now?" she asked, none too politely

Syrius Cline
Dec 18th, 2001, 03:58:17 AM

"More than earlier."

Syrius put the page in his pocket.

"Strap yourself in."

Syrius rubbed his chin.

"And..." He handed her a microchip. "Find a place for this..."

OOC - Let's just end it here, with a cliffhanger sentence. Imagine a comical freeze frame if it was a TV show. So, let's pick it up on Blake's board. Agreed?
