Another Rainy Night

[Navaria Tarkin]

Drops of water were falling in front of her face as they could not be held up by her hood anymore. Her body was chilled from the nightly down pour but Navaria always enjoyed the smell of rain at anytime of the day. It was an intoxicating aroma.

She pulled the hood back to reveal brown hair and bright blue eyes that soaked in the scenes of the bar, much like her cloak had absorbed the rain. Running a hand through her mositened hair, she found her way to the bar counter and ordered herself a drink.

[Mortaniuss]

"If your intention was to kill yourself, there are far more 'humane' ways to do it than freezing to death in the rain."

The owner of the voice smiled. And, for the first time in decades, his smile seemed genuinely warm. One hand, slender and pale, lazily brushed away the milkly-white ponytail which hung over his shoulder. It flopped down, returning to it's normal position halfway down his back.

"I don't believe I had the opportunity to introduce myself last time we met, miss. My name... is Mortaniuss."

It was the strange being that she met briefly the last time she was here. That was an odd night when three people came out of no where to talk to her. Navaria was not one to enjoy being in a crowd and she felt uncomfortable and awkward until she was sitting alone with Anbira.

She smiled and chuckled quietly at Mortaniuss' joke.

"Of course not but in order for me to arrive here, I had to walk in the rain. Besides, I enjoy the beauty of the storm."

This was a fortunate meeting since Navaria was interesting in finding out who this being was. His signature in the Force was different then most and she couldn't understand what it meant.

"My name is Navaria Tarkin."

The doorway to the Bar opens, and in walks a rough and ragged Skywalker.

He gingerly walks across the room and gracefully collapses into a booth, not far from the entrance, a barmaid approaches him but Luke quickly shoos her away. he needed a bit of time to collect his thoughts in a safe place. he hopes that the bounty hunters will not think to look for him here.

Her head snaps around when she senses Luke's presence enter the bar. Navaria could not only see that he was injured by the way he walked but he exuded pain through the Force.

She turned around and took her drink as the bartender came back. Concern was etched in her face as she apologized to Mortaniuss.

"Excuse me but there is someone I have to see."

Quickly bowing out of politeness, Navaria walked swiftly to Luke's booth, passing the waitress by that was recently at his table. She sat down across from him and offered her Namana juice to him.

"What happened to you? You're hurt and your mind is troubled."

She wished that her voiced didn't crackle with such worry.

[Mortaniuss]

Still standing with his hand outstretched, Mortaniuss looked very much like the man who had just dropped the ball. His smile quickly melted into a frown, and he clenched his jaw in bitter resentment. This was the second time he had attempted to meet this beautiful young woman and been upstaged. It was almost as if some invisible force was working to keep him from learning her name.

This time, however, he had but a single person to blame for the interruption: Luke Skywalker. And that single person was going to regret that he didn't deal with his flesh wounds on his own time.

Silently bowing his head, the vampyre stepped backwards, once again disappearing into the night. Another time, perhaps...

Hello, Navaria

I've been on the run for quite some time, I only recently was able to give my pursuers the slip.

apparently someone has put a price on my head, I thought when the empire fell that I could stop looking over my shoulder..I guess I was wrong. I guess as long as I am who I am, I will never be able to stop looking back.

I just need a little time to compose myself.

so..how have you been. I didn't think I'd see ya again...

This wasn't really the kind of reaction Navaria was hoping for. Inwardly she frowned. Was Luke not as happy to see her as she was to see him?

"Of course you'd see me again! I been worried sick about you. You've been gone for so long ... I would have known if anything happened to you but still, it has been so hard wondering where you and Leia have been."

[JediMaster Skywalker]

"Leia has been missing? oh, I didn't know that, I was returning from a diplomacy mission for the new republic, but it turned out to be a failed mission, I no sooner stepped onto the planet and was confronted with about 5 bounty hunters, that were looking to collect on me. I didn't even know I was a target. Ever since I have been trying to find the person that put the price on my head, which hasn't been an easy thing to do while having to look over my shoulder at every system I enter.

well I'll see what I can learn on Leia's whereabouts, meanwhile (Luke takes Navaria's hand in his) its really good to see you again"

IC~ She squeezes his hand, happy to feel the warmth of his presence.

"I'm happy to see you too but my nights are going to be restless until we find out who wants you dead."

your nites will be restless? I havn't fallen into a sound sleep in days, but i am not going to drive my self crazy thinking about it, there is nothing we can do until they make another move, sooner or later they will relaize that i've come back here then it will get interesting.

She frowned.

"Interesting? A bunch of bounty hunters coming here to hunt you down and kill you is interesting?"

hey, i am always up for a fight. though i am not to sure i can win this one. Maybe my time has finally come, this maybe the end of the skywalkers, if those bounty hunters have their way that is. Though I sure would like to know who is behind it

"Since when do you talk all pessimistic?"

Navaria was getting annoyed at Luke's flippant way of handling this situation along with being so defeatest.

"We should find out who is behind this so it can stop. Does Leia know or have you even seen her?"

[JediMaster Skywalker]

i didn't mean to sound beaten, its just been a rough ride, I'll be fine, I just need to find a safe place to grab some sleep and rest up a bit. I think all of this may be due to a communication I intercepted from the region of the remnants of the empire. I am almost certain they are planing something, I am still trying to decode the transmission, I've got R2 working on it now.

She smiled, releaved that Luke was making more sense.

"Well, you're home now. You're safe here, Luke."

true but i don't think the owner would appreciate me crashing in one of his booths.

i'll just have to find a nice dark corner to hide in for a few hours, to risky going back to my quarters or my ship

"Well..."

She frowned.

"... where will you go?"

i'm not sure, could you recommend somewhere safe, where i don't have to worry about closing my eyes. preferably with a soft warm bed

She grinned.

"I'd offer mine but they might know to look for you there." ;)

Navaria felt her cheeks blush at the joke.

that would be worth the risk, my love.

luke stands and offers Navaria his hand, how about we go for a walk under the stars and the moon.

Her cheeks returned to their nomal color and Navaria took his hand.

"It has been a long time since we've done that."

She stood up and laced her arm around Luke's.

"And if you get into trouble this time, at least I'll be with you."

Luke and Navaria walked out of the bar. The moonlight was bright on this most beautiful of evenings, as they walked along Luke marveled at how beautiful Navaria was, the moonlight glistened off of her hair, her eyes sparkled, and her lips looked as exquisite as a beatiful red rose.

Not long after they started their walk, they game to a small garden park, Luke stopped their walking and took both of Navaria's hands in his.

"Navaria, I need to talk to you, this time with you has been incredible, it has made me see how much you mean to me and how much I need you in my life. I don't care what is waiting for me out there (Luke looks up to the sky and then back to Navaria), I am done running from them, I have realised that as long as I have your love there is nothing I can't cope with." Luke took Navaria's face in his hands and gave her the most passionate kiss they have ever shared together. "I Love You Navaria Tarken"

It was a casual strole through the street. Neither of them had said anything for nothing needed to be said. Both of them just enjoyed each other's company. With all the talk that Luke did in the bar, she was unsure of how the Knight felt about her but now... she was foolish to think otherwise.

Eventually they stopped and Navaria looked over at Luke with questioning eyes. He took both of her hands and pulled her to him and spoke.

She could feel her heart pounding rapidly and a chill of relief flow throughout her entire body to what she heard. The fears that she felt subsided and vanquished completely with the kiss they shared.

Pulling back slowly to let the kiss linger, her blue eyes sparkled as she pulled a hand to her lips, kissing it softly.

"I love you too, Luke, and I wil always be at your side."
