Depressing himself...

[Satine Capashen]

Satine Capashen walks into the bar, dressed in more casual clothes of baggy black pants and a baggy black shirt, and goes to his normal table--in one of the dark corners. Waving a serving droid over, the Warrior Jedi Knight orders a large bottle of Whyren's Reserve, and sits back, fishing something out of his pocket.

It was a necklace. Gold metal with a silver gem flanked by two yellow gems in the centre of it. More importantly it was the necklace he had given Iyza Myst, one of his closest friends. Today would've been her birthday, had Kurare not killed her.

Curse her name to the depths of the nine Hells... Satine thinks, putting the necklace onto the table, and taking up the bottle of whiskey that the droid had deposited on his table just a few seconds ago, pouring himself a shot. He raises the glass in a silent toast.

Happy birthday Iyza...Wish you were here... Satine thinks, his mind wandering to the happy times he had shared with her, including her dragging him through the mall. When he had given her the necklace.

Downing the shot, Satine sighs sadly, and stares off into space, his free hand on the necklace.

{OOC:I just made up Iyza's b-day btw, considering she never specified it in any post. As for the purpose of this thread, it's to have Satine as something more than a cocky little bastard...}

[Xazor]

Xazor walked into the bar and immediatly felt a disturbance with one of her close friends. She looked around but didn't see anyone she knew. She scanned the bar with the Force and finally picked up on who it was. She walked to the back where he sat in the shadows......alone. She had never seen him alone before. He was always surrounded by people. She put a hand on his shoulder and spoke.

Hey Alpha.......can I sit with you?

She quietly asked. He was looking at some kind of necklace when she approached him. He looked so sad.
What can be wrong? She wondered to herself.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine manages a small smile, and nods, motioning with one hand to the spare seat, and with the other starting to put the necklace up in a little pouch.

"Sure you can sit. Can I get you a drink? Unless you like Corellian Whiskey that is, then you can have some of this..."

[Xazor]

Xazor sat down across from him and studied him closely for a moment.

I'll just have some whisky.....

She said in reply to his question. She scanned his aura for a while before speaking.

Tell me what is so heavy on your heart my friend......

She said softly.

[Satine Capashen]

"A memory..."

The was all Satine says, as he mulls over how to say it.

"You ever been close to someone, and then have them ripped away? That's pretty much what weighs heavily on me right now. Her name was Iyza Myst, and how I came to know her is too long a tale to tell, but I soon came to consider her my love. And then she died. Killed by a person named Kurare, and on this very day, which--I later found out--was her birthday. I failed her, and that memory eats at me, especially this time of year."

He sees Xazor do a double take, as his words seemed like they were coming from someone much older than 14. But then Xazor realizes that this was a child who had had his real childhood ripped away early on, and was forced to deal with the real world for a long time. That sorta gave him a different perspective...

[Xazor]

Xazor looks down at the table as he says these things. She knew with all of her heart exactly what he felt.

Yes.......I know what it's like. I too lost someone I loved........

She said with a sigh. A tear fell from her eye and trickled down her face.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine looks up, his face a storm of conflicting emotions.

"Maybe we could help each other get stronger. We might not be able to forget, but we don't have to be ruled by these memories...Up till now I've kept my distance from most people, afraid I'll loose them like Iyza, but, now, maybe it would be a good idea to have a best friend...What do you think?"

As Satine says this Xazor sees something she will probably never see again. The Young Jedi Knight was in tears, his eyes misty, and a few falling from his wide silver eyes--that in itself a minor miracle, as he normally never kept emotions like this close to the surface.

[Xazor]

Xazor smiled gently at him. He was so kind and caring.

You remind me so much of him........

She paused for a moment and continued.

The person I lost was just like you. Fearless........brave..........and most of all, caring.

She wiped a falling tear from her eye. She then looked at him and saw that he too was crying lightly. She reached across the table and gently wiped away his tears too with a kind smile.

We should help each other........I think it would be good. You are my best friend now....and you can talk to me about anything. If you ever need anything.....I'll be there to back you up.

She said, taking his hand. She squeezed it lightly and smiled. He had told her his story......but she hadn't continued about hers. Maybe it was time she got it off her heart.......

Satine grins. Finally he had a friend he could count on...

"And the same goes for me. You need help, you know who to ask."

[Xazor]

A sense of joy overcame Xazor's heart. It was a type of joy she hadn't had in a long time. It was the joy of a true friend........a close friend. She smiled brightly at him.

I'll always be here for you.............and that's a promise.

She then took off a ring that was around her finger. It was silver and had a shiny blue stone in it. It had once been given to her by a friend.

I want you to have this so a part of me is always with you.......

She said, slipping it on one of his fingers. She looked thoughtfully at it as they sat in the silence for a moment.

Satine tries to refuse the ring at first, but if firmly but softly rebuffed by his friend. Smiling one of his small smiles, he looks at Xazor.

"The only thing I have in an exchange is the necklace. Though I think Iyza would like you to have it. My new best friend gets something that had belonged to my old best friend."

The Jedi Knight takes the necklace out of his pouch, and hands it to Xazor, knowing she knew how much the thing meant to him, but he was giving it to her anyway. As a gift...

[Xazor]

Xazor gasped when he handed her the necklace.

I............I don't know what to say...........

[Satine Capashen]

Satine grins, and says, "Thanks would be a good start."

It was a sign that his good cheer was returning, shown by the fact that he was beginning to get back his smart-alec part of his personality.

"Just take it. A sign of wounds beginning to heal. For both of us..."

[Xazor]

Thank you friend.........

She smiled brightly. Indeed........her wounds were healing with his.

[Satine Capashen]

"You're welcome."

Satine's smile turns to a full blown grin, and he motions to the bottle of whiskey.

"Would you care for some more?"

[Xazor]

Xazor gave a funny little giggle and smiled.

Sure.............I'd love some morre........

She replied.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine pours himself a glass, and one for Xazor, and then raises his glass for a toast.

"To new friendships. May they last for a looong time..."

[Xazor]

Xazor smiled and raised her glass.

Forever.....

She exclaimed.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine clinks his glass with hers, and he sits back and takes a drink from it.

She smiles at him as everything around them is quiet.

Isn't it funny how so many good things come out of bad situations?

She suddenly asked, pondering over the thoughts of this in her mind.



ooc: I would normally jump right in there, but I am leaving on vacation on Sunday (so Saturday is my last chance to post. :( ) I will be gone from the 3rd until the 12th. If you are in any RPs with me (which you are), just know that I didn't die or anything, but I will be back on the 12th (it's a Tuesday.) so I will post as soon as I get home then!

She said as she set the glass on the table.

"You leaving now?"

Satine sets his glass on the table too.

I don't know.........there's no place to go. Unless you want to take a walk or something.

She said with a gentle smile. She then remembered that she had been holding onto the necklace the whole time. She gently took each end and brought them together at the back of her neck. She clasped them firmly in place and then re-adjusted the front. It was a beautiful necklace......she held the pendant in her hands and looked down at it and then back up at Alpha and smiled.

I want to thank you again.........I know how much it means to you...........

She said, smiling again.

Satine smiles and waves away the last comment.

"It's the least I can do...for a friend..."

[Xazor]

Xazor smiled at him.

So.......what do you want to do? You wanna sit here, or go somewhere?

She asked in a soft voice.

[Satine Capashen]

"I dunno. I'll just follow you."

[Xazor]

Alright........in that case, let's go!

Xazor got up and ran out of the bar before he could say anything. By the time he got out the door, she was nearly out of sight.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine smiles, and runs after Xazor, grabbing his sleeveless trenchcoat from a hook on the wall and putting it on as he follows her. Putting on a burst of Force Speed, the Jedi Knight manages to catch up with his friend.

"Trying to lose me now, huh?"

[Xazor]

Xazor grinned at him once he caught up.

Are you crazy? I would never do that!

She gave a laugh as they continued running. She suddenly changed directions and headed for the jungle.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine smiles as they head into the jungle and he jumps into one of the trees, making Xazor jump as he jumps out and lands right in front of her. Satine laughs as she struggles to stop.

[Xazor]

Xazor laughs as Alpha can't control his landing. She jumped over a log and ran deeper into the jungle, suddenly stopping. She looked all around and left her senses to the Force. Suddenly she ran to the right down an old overgrown path. She laughed as he tried to keep up.

Satine manages to catch up again, and smiles.

"Where we goin, anyways?"

[Xazor]

Xazor grinned.

You'll see!

She called to him as they continued.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine just shrugs, and keeps going, following Xazor.

[Xazor]

Suddenly she stops at what appears to be a dead end. Alpha looks at her with a confused expression. She then moves a few branches aside and steps through them, leaving them open for Alpha to make his way through behind her. Just then, they had entered into what looked like a tropical paradise. There was a large waterfall with crystal clear water that was a shimmery blue color. There were thousands of exotic flowers and trees. It took one's breath away to behold such splendor and beauty.

This is my favorite place.......

She said with a smile as she took in everything that was possible to see. There was a mystical feeling about the place...........as though the Force was stronger here than anyother place in the galaxy. It was almost as though it flowed from the waterfall itself. It was very serene, and perfect to study and meditate for its abundance in space. After looking around for a few moments, Xazor looked to Alpha and smiled.

No one else knows about it.............so I thought it would be perfect to share with you, seeing as though you're my best friend. I thought you might love it as much as I do........

She looked at the ground for a moment before continuing.

I thought it would be the perfect to spar. I know, that sounds funny.......but I am serious. I have an anger problem...........I need to learn how to control it. I found that studying here takes all of the anger away.......it seems to clear my mind somehow. I can't figure out why........I suppose that is what makes this place so mysterious. I wanted to know if you would spar with me here and teach me how to control my anger. Tempt me...........try to get me angry. See..........the reason I am asking you is because you're the only one who would do this right. Shade and I have too much fun when we spar. I spar with my Master, and he knows my weak points and sometimes goes easy on me. The Sith do not fulfil my purpose but instead make me lose control of what I am trying to overcome.

She looked at the water for a moment and gave a heavy sigh before finishing.

Please.........would you do me the honor........brother?

She spoke softly as she said this.

"Brother? I'm touched."

Satine says, meaning it. He then smiles wide.

"So, you want me to insult you and goad you into anger, huh? Well, here goes..."

After a few moments thoughts, Satine seems to be a completely different person, sneering, and his bright silver eyes gone cold.

"Were you always this weak, or was it those in the past who made you so?" As Satine says this, he silently hopes she doesn't take it personally, considering all she had been through. But Xazor had wanted to try and get angry...

[Xazor]

Forgetting everything else, she focused on what he said. It burned to the core of her soul. How many times had she heard that before, she could not even count. She could feel the anger rising within her, but used all of her strength to surpress it. Then with a cocky smile, she spoke.

Perhaps it is my past that stains me so........but as far as being weak? The one who calls me so, is weak himself and cannot believe how much strength I have gained. I am protector of the light.......the light is within me and nothing you say or do is going to destroy that. You cannot take that away from me........nor shall you have the satisfaction of getting me angry.........

She gritted her teeth to hold back what she was really feeling in her heart. Squinting her eyes, she somehow held it all in, and managed to hold peace about her being.............for now anyway.

"Oh really? You'll be angry. That's all you're good for. You're a poor excuse for a guardian of the light..."

Satine inwardly cringes at the words, wishing he could find something else, but as Xazor was asking him to try and get her mad what could he do? IT still didn't make him feel less of an ass or a traitor to his best friend.

[Xazor]

Her heart was bit at with every word that fell from his tongue. She started to regret who she used to be and who she had become. The same feeling of anger and rage built inside of her uncontrollably. She tried to block it out, but failed. Her eyes burned into him and she let her anger become barely visible. Suddenly, a voice spoke in her mind. It was that of her Master.

You're already a hero in my eyes.......

He had said this to her once. She recalled the event and smiled as she thought of him. She then turned back to Alpha and surpressed every bit of hate, rage, or aggression that was ever in her soul and felt a strange calming feeling. Her soul felt totally pure for once! It was a life changing feeling. She smiled at him and spoke.

I am everything I am called to be........you cannot make me be any more.........or any less.........

She said with complete confidence.

Satine could tell the difference in Xazor's demeanor, and inwardly smiles. Maybe his trash-talking was doing some good after all.

"Me make you? You do a good enough job of that yourself. Why would I need to try and make you a failure? You do a great job of that on your own."

[Xazor]

Xazor smiled at this comment.

The Force accepts me as I am. Others do also......so that must mean you have the flaw. You must be a failure. I shall meditate for you..........I don't think you're strong enough to do it on your own. There is nothing that anyone can do to take me away from the power of the light.

This time it was different..........there was no anger! She couldn't even find any to get rid of. The feeling was incredible.......and something she had never experienced before.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine can't help but grin, and chuckle his old personality coming back.

"Sorry Xazor, but that was great! I didn't get any anger off of you that time! Even the stuff you try to block out! Yes I can sense that too..." Satine says, seeing Xazor's amazed look. "And that little retort was good too."

[Xazor]

Xazor smiled and started to laugh. She felt pure joy and it felt so incredibly great!

Thank you..........I know it was good!

She joked with him and continued smiling.

Satine grins.

"Well, now that you have this little obstacle out of the way, what do you plan on doing next?"

[Xazor]

She thought for a moment.

Since I react like this to insults.............what about an actual spar? Battle.........those are the problems I have. It seems sometimes as though the opponent is purposly going after me to hurt me.......so I get angry at them..............then the verbal wars begin.............

She sighed as she thought of how many times that had happened.

[Satine Capashen]

"A spar sounds like a good idea. Here or in the Academy?"

[Xazor]

Wherever you think is better. I need to learn how to spar in many places.........so whichever you choose.

She said with a smile.

[Satine Capashen]

"Here works..."

Satine gets into a fighting stance, and smiles tightly at Xazor.

"You have the first move, my friend.."

[Xazor]

Xazor smiles and nods to him. Suddenly she runs at him and does a flying side thrust kick to his stomach. Landing soundly on the ground, she spins around and spear hand strikes him to the side of the head. That was sure to hurt for a while. Turning inward on him, she elbows him in the chest, and stomps on his right instep. Martial arts ran through her blood.............as did the way of the warrior. She enjoyed sparring hand to hand.

As Xazor stomps, Satine grabs her foot, and pulls, taking her off her feet, and lying her out on her back. Moving back a step, the Jedi Knight waits for Xazor to get back to his feet, and then runs at her, ducking a punch, and axe kicking her in the jaw.

[Xazor]

Xazor hits the ground and places her hand on her jaw in pain. Blocking it out of her mind, she jumps back up. Running at Alpha, she jumps up and does a tornado kick to his head. First her right foot, then her left nailed him right in the head. He fell back a few feet, and she jumped at him. Puching him in the stomach. Left, right, then a heavy uppercut with her left. She backed away to let him recover from the sequence as she readied herself for his set of blows.

Satine shakes his head to clear it, and concentrates in the Force, projecting into Xazor's mind the image of him running at her, while he, actually, silently comes up behind her. Aiming a side kick, Satine sends Xazor stumbling forward, the illusion broken, and then the Jedi Knight uppercuts Xazor, following up with a double punch to her gut.

Xazor takes the blows as she stands still, not avoiding what was coming at her. She then fell and rolled backwards into a horse stance. She closes her eyes and searches quickly for something to do. Thinking back to her training, she remembers all of the illusions her Master had taught her, as well as a few of her own. She smiles and runs toward to waterfall. Standing near the edge of the water, she bends over and appears to pick up a ball of water. Shaping it into her hand, she suddenly throws it at Satine. It was hard enough to sting, and the right amount to soak him. She smiled a bit as a look of shock overcomes him.

Satine shudders. That water was cold! Falling back on his own specialty, Satine forms a fireball out of thin air, and smiles, throwing it agt Xazor. She dodges the most of it, but a small portion bounces off her left shoulder, giving her skin a red tint, and giving her something close to a sunburn. He had, after all, kept the fireball's power low so he wouldn't accidentaly kill her.

[Xazor]

The fire brazes her skin, just above the tattoo of the Sith Warrior that she had taken.............she looks down at it as it's illuminated by the fire. It burned pretty badly..........and felt the same as the day she received it. She walked over to water and picked some of it up and rubbed it on her arm. Then she remembered the Force. She used the Force to concentrate a patch of coolness around the burn. In seconds, there was relief. She looked at Alpha and ran towards him, stopping just a few feet from him. She then looked to the water and called it toward her. She used the Force and an illusion to create a transparent wall of water between. He had his specialty in fire and heat, hers was in water and cool. She smiled at him, and then summoned the wind. She had it blow a strong Force at the wall and all of the water came crashing down on him. She laughed at him as he screeched from the shock of the cold water. She was definatly following in her Master's footsteps and becoming a mentalist. She was happy to note her progress.

"Like Mastre, like pupil..." Satine says, chuckleing a bit. He knew Xazor's Mastre, and knew how he acted. Xazor was becoming alot like him.

"Fire and water, huh? We're exact opposites in that regard, sis."

Satine heats up the air around him, and dries his clothes, and then jumps at Xazor, blocking a few punches and a kick, and countering with a snap kick of his own...

[Xazor]

Xazor smiles brightly. She thought for a moment and knew that he was right. She was becomming so much like Verse.........and she was really proud of that.........quite honored actually. She blocked his front snap kick and did a spinning hook kick to his upper body, adding a round house to the right side of his head.

Might be opposite, but isn't it odd that we choose sides like that? So as they are opposites.....they are almost identical.........

She said with a grin.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine spins to decrease the Force of Xazor's attack, and coutners with a sweep, taking her to the ground.

"How are they alike?"

[Xazor]

She thinks for a moment and then speaks as she sits on the ground.

They are both dominant forces...........both opposites. Since we chose one side of them.......they are similar. It is hard to explain with words. I know what I am trying to say..........but speaking it is much different.

She resolves and then sweeps his feet, taking him to the ground.

[Satine Capashen]

"I think I see what you're saying."

Satine smiles, and flips to his feet, motioning for Xazor to do the same.

"Ready for another round?"

[Xazor]

Xazor stands up and smiles.

Yep........this time, you take the first move, bro.......

She said in a cheerful tone.

[Satine Capashen]

"Alright."

Satine silently circles Xazor, his attitude reverting to that of a tiger stalking prey. Without warning, he jumps at her, tackling Xazor, and knocking her back. Uppercutting her, Satine jumps back, motioning for Xazor to attack...

[Xazor]

Blocking out the pain from the nice uppercut he did, Xazor ran at Alpha. She jumped up and did a flip over his head, landing behind him. She quickly brought her hands together and bashed him the the base of his neck with her elbows, intensifying the blow with the Force. Falling into a backwards shoulder roll, she got in a ready position and waited for his attack.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine blinks back stars, and coming blackness, and returns to a fighting position fast enough to block a few punches coming his way. Steping in closer, the Jedi Knight grabs Xazor's arm--still outstretched from a punch--and throws her over his back. He smiles as he hears Xazor land with a thud.

"Not bad sis..."

[Xazor]

Xazor quickly gets up from the ground and smiles.

Thanks.........that last one wasn't so bad yourself, bro.......

Without giving him much time to think, she charges him and bends over just as she reaches him. She head-butts him in the stomach, knocking him back several yards. Running towards him again, she does a front hand spring and lands, strattled right on top of him. She takes her hands and pushes his shoulders to the ground and grins slyly.

Got ya........

A slight laugh accompanies her words.

[Satine Capashen]

"Yes you do..."

Getting an evil idea, Satine smiles, and uses gthe Force to pluck Xazor up off the ground, and then throw her into the ice-cold lake, laughing as he gets up.

[Xazor]

Xazor struggles to the surface. She can barely breath because of the shock of the cold water. She quickly climbs out and stands next to the water fall.

Th.......that......w.....was.......v...ery........ .me..........an.........

She says through shivers. She then used the Force to warm up her blood and bring homiostasis back to her body. She knew how to use Fire also, but Water and Coldness were her specialty. Using this ability, she dries out her clothes. Her platnum blonde hair remains wet and drips down her back. An evil grin spreads across her face as she studies Alpha for a moment. She prys into his mind and sends Force waves to his head, giving him a gradual head-ache. Within a few seconds, his head was pounding. A look of confusion overtook him and she smiled.

They always say that cold water takes those away!

Without hesitating, she picks him up with the Force and throws him into the small lake with a giant splash. She immediatly releases the pain in his head and laughs as he gives loud screeches.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine gasps at the cold, and then instinctively uses his heat powers and heats the water up, making it quite comfortable.

"Quite nice in here, really...Come see..."

As Xazor, confused, checks, Satine smiles and pulls her in, taking away all the heat he can without freezing the water from the area around Xazor, while he remains nice and warm...

[Xazor]

Xazor shakes in the cold water.

That.....isn't.......funny.........

She said as her teeth chatter. She suddenly gets an idea and reverses what he had done. Now she was warm and he was consumed in the cold water. She grinned slyly as a look of shock came on his face.

Ah......it appears as though I am more clever than you think........

She said with a slight laugh.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine grins, and says, "Too clever for your own good!" He injects an edge of humor into his voice, and dunks Xazor, using the extra lift from it to propell himself out of the water, drying off by ehating up the air.

[Xazor]

Xazor comes back up and takes a large breath of air. The water was enough to make you unable to breath. She smiles at his words and then propells herself out of the water using the Force. Once on the dry land, she uses heat Force to dry her clothes............again. She grins at him as she thinks of what to do. Suddenly, she summons the wind and it blows with hard force at Alpha.........knocking him back into the frigid water.

Though you had me this time, did you?

She said in a humorous tone.

[Satine Capashen]

Jumping back out of the water, Satine calls down a few rocks from the top of the waterfall, and watches for Xazor to dodge.

[Xazor]

Whoa! What are you doing?

Xazor dodges a few large rocks and boulders. She runs quickly and dodges a few more with luck.........but all of a sudden, her luck ran out. She was hit in the head by a large rock. She then fell to the ground and held her head in her hands. She didn't allow herself to cry.........but felt anger began to rise within her. I cannot submit..............to.............it............. ..... She thought outloud to herself. Through much fighting, she surpressed it, although the pain persisted. She felt a warm stream of blood run down the side of her face. Everything was blurry and she looked up at Alpha.

Brother.............

She reached out her hand toward him.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine gasps in shock, and runs to Xazor.

"Sister! I didn't mean to! I'm sorry..."

Not letting remorse overpower him, Satine opens up to the force, directing healing energies towards her head wound...

[Xazor]

Xazor waved in and out of consciousness, but she heard his voice.

Help.............me............

She felt his healing powers in her head, but the pain did not let up. Blood continued to run down her face.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine hears her plea, and begins to put everything--even his own life force--into healing his sister's wounds.

Sister, don't leave me... Satine says, getting weaker and weaker the longer he keeps this up.

[Xazor]

Hearing his voice, she gathers the small bit of strength left in her body along with his. She cries out to him.

Please...........do not lose your life on account of mine..............I will not leave you.........ever..........

She spoke strongly to him through the Force. She focused the Force in her shaky body and gathered strength. Then all at once, her mind came back fully, and she sat up a little. She opened her eyes and could see him clearly now.

Stop..............I shall be fine..............you need not waste your precious life on me.........

She spoke softly and then fell back gently, and rested on the ground.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine stops the healing, and sighs, falling to the ground, and calling on the Force to recouperate himself.

[Xazor]

Gaining enough energy to sustain life without a worry, Xazor forces herself part-way up. She slowly crawls over to Alpha and collapses next to him.

Thank.......you..........

She spoke through short breaths.

[Satine Capashen]

"Don't mention it. I'm sorry for the rocks thing. Now, if you don't mind, I think I'm gonna just rest for a few minutes."

Satine says in between gasps, before closing his eyes and resting for a while.

[Xazor]

I need.........to.............als.............

She couldn't finish and quickly drifted off to a deep sleep.........


occ: I'll be back on later.......gotta go eat dinner now!

Satine smiles a bit, and goes to sleep also...

[Xazor]

After resting for nearly two hours, Xazor rolls over and opens her eyes. She sees Alpha and recalls what had happened. All was dark and quiet around them......and he was still sleeping. She felt stronger than she had when her rest began. She slowly and quietly stood up and walked over to the waterfall. She knelt down at the edge of the pool that it drained into and looked at her reflection.

Who have I become..........?

She silently asked herself.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine slowly rouses form his sleep, and sees Xazor beside the pool of water.

"Watcha doin sis?"

[Xazor]

Xazor felt Alpha's presence behind her and then heard him speak. She spun around in surprise.

Oh! You're awake.......I didn't know. I'm not doing anything........not really.........

She nervously brushed stray pieces of hair from her face.

[Satine Capashen]

"I coulda sworn I mentioned something to you earlier about how horrible a liar you are..."

[Xazor]

Oh......yeah...........Who said I was ly.........

She stopped and faced away from him, looking back at her reflection in the water.

I was just trying to figure out.............who I've become...........

She said quietly. He probably wouldn't understand, and she thought she sounded pretty stupid for saying it. She sighed as she continued looking, though.......without saying anything else.

[Satine Capashen]

"I think I know what you mean. Lemme guess; your whole life seems to have been turned upside down, and now you need to figure out where exactly you stand. Right?"

[Xazor]

Xazor nodded and looked over her shoulder at him.

Yeah..........how'd ya guess?

She asked, a bit of humor on her voice.

[Satine Capashen]

"Been there before. When I left the Sith, I had to do the same thing. And the results are the little psycho you see before you."

Satine says, smiling.

[Xazor]

She smiled lightly. She couldn't really say much though, he was great. Not a physco........

[Satine Capashen]

Satine could pretty much detect what Xazor was thinking--it seemed the more time they spent with each other, the easier it was for him to read her--and smiles.

"Not a psycho, huh? Well, maybe not..."

[Xazor]

Xazor smiled as she too read his thoughts. It was true that the more time they spent with each other, the more they could read each other. It was strange.......but very cool all at the same time. She smiled when he spoke of himself.

No.....you could never be a psycho...........you are perfect being you.

She said in a kind voice.

[Satine Capashen]

"OF course I'm perfect being me." Satine says with a laugh. "No one else has ever wanted the part!"

[Xazor]

Xazor gave him a curious grin.

Don't be too sure about that........I would give almost anything to be like you. You're a Warrior and a Knight.......I'm still a padawan.

She didn't at all regret being a padawan, she loved her Master and was doing well in her training too.

[Satine Capashen]

"Probably not with the way I've had to do things. But don't worry. You'll make Jedi Knight soon enough..."

[Xazor]

She nodded and smiled.

Yeah.........I will.

She said full of confidence. She was looking forward to that day........but in a way, she wasn't. She didn't want to leave her Master.......he had taken the place and filled the spaces of family members that she never had. She sighed as she thought about this, her feelings unresolved.

[Satine Capashen]

Sensing Xazor's thoughts again, Satine gives a little chuckle.

"Mastres don't just drop you as soon as you become a Knight. I don't speak from experience as I never actually had a mastre, but I do speak from observations. They'll be there to help you, even though you'll be a Knight."

[Xazor]

Xazor looked up, surprised.

They will? That's really great........

She said with a smile.

[Satine Capashen]

"Yes. They will. and even if Verse isn't--and he should be--you have me a Shade to fall back on."

[Xazor]

Smiling to herself, she spoke.

I am pretty sure Verse will stick by me.....he promised me he would, and I trust him. I know you and Shade will be.....you had better be.....

She smiled and warned him playfully.

[Satine Capashen]

"Or what? you'll freeze me?" Satine asks with a laugh, grinning to show he was joking.

[Xazor]

She laughs at his comment and speaks.

Yeah......I just might.......wait, you're able to undo that...aww shoot......

She laughes at herself and thinks for a moment.

[Satine Capashen]

"Not if I'm completely frozen...but you'd have to catch me when I'm sleeping for that to happen."

[Xazor]

Xazor grins slyly at him.

Hmmm........good ideas you have.....

She joked playfully.

[Satine Capashen]

"Yes, and me sharing them with the person that could do them...I must be growing soft." Satine says with a smile.

[Xazor]

Maybe.........

She smiled lightly and patted him on the shoulder.

One must always be strong as a wolf.......yet as gentle as a child.......

She knew he had those qualities.

[Satine Capashen]

Satine chuckles.

"You sounded so much like my mother there. I remember bits a pieces of her, and I remember her using that phrase..."

[Xazor]

Xazor raised an eyebrow at his words.

Really? Funny.........I remember a woman on my home planet saying that to me........as I took her son away to the Sith Council.

She sighed. The words had no meaning to her then........but now she understood what they meant.

She was wise to say it to me.........though I did not understand at the time. I do now......

She looked down at the ground. She had longed to seek out the woman, but while she was escaping, there had been no time.

[Satine Capashen]

"Sith council? As in the one run by Itala Marzullo way back when, or the one Kama was from?"

[Xazor]

The one headed by Kama himself.

She sighed. She knew what had happened to that young man.......and she regretted ever having to take him away from his mother.

I either had to kill people myself.......or take them to the council for a lesser sentence......depending on what crime they accused someone of doing. Most of the time, it was just a made up story........another excuse to kill. I did it the best........so I was always sent out by the council.

Her eyes fell to the ground as she finished speaking. It was a horrible thing......her past. But nonetheless, it was part of who she was........

[Satine Capashen]

"Might be part of who you are, but you don't have to be controlled by memories..."

[Xazor]

Looking up surprised, she forced a smile.

I know.........it is hard though......

She spoke, this time through the Force. It was more of a thought than anything else....

[Satine Capashen]

"Hard, but possible."

[Xazor]

She nodded in agreement.

Yes........all things are possible through the Force.

She smiled, this time with confidence.

[Satine Capashen]

"Definately. I mean, look how far we've come using the Force."

[Xazor]

She smiled and nodded.

Yes.......look how far we've come.......

She said thoughtfully. She glanced over at Alpha and smiled brightly as he returned a smile of his own. She looked back down at the water to see her reflection next to his. It was strange........in a way they almost looked alike. She smiled and then shook her head. Maybe it was because they had been spending so much time together, but still...it was odd to her.
