An old soul......

[Shade Magus]

Shade walked into the Bar. I had been quite some time since his last visit. He walked over to the bar and sat down on one of the many stools. He truned to the tender and ordered a red wine. While waiting he looked around and saw many faces he had never known and some he barely recognized.

[Xazor]

Xazor sat across the bar, immersed in the shadows. She looked across at him and then her eyes dropped to the table top. He had ordered red wine........the drink that they had on their first date. She felt a tear fall from her eye and she wiped it away with the back of her robes sleeve. With a sigh, she rested her head on the table and shut her eyes......trying to block the world and her problems from her mind.

[Shade Magus]

Shade looked around as he sensed a familiar presence. He saw her and walked over to her.

"Mind if I sit?"

[Xazor]

Opening her eyes and raising her head up, she saw that he had come over to her table, requesting to join her.

Sure....if you wish you may.......

She said softly, motioning for the empty seat.

[Shade Magus]

Shade pulled the chair out and sat in it.

"It has been a long time.....how have you been?"

[Xazor]

Xazor nodded slightly.

I have been...okay. A many things have happened. I was even promoted to Knight...

She said softly, then diverted her attention out the window. After a moment or so of silence, she turned her eyes back to him.

And how have you been?

The Knight did not know what else to say. "How could you leave me? Did you have fun galavanting across the stars? How could you just turn up so suddenly after everything?" These questions ran through her mind, but she shook them out, trying to focus on the present, the here and now....

Shade put his head down as he tried to answer these questions. What he had been through he had tried to forget. It all started with the fight between he and his brother, and these were the end results.

"I have been............ok. I went to a moon orbiting my home planet."

Shade then looked at her and smiled.

"Kudos to your pomotion."

[Xazor]

Xazor smiled gently.

Sounds....interesting. And thank you....it is a lot of responsibility...being a Knight. I am also a Warrior, training with Helenias Q'Dunn....also known as Elieen Cross. She is my mentor.

Xazor paused a moment and noticed he was still wearing the necklace she had given to him. She smiled and looked down for a moment, then her eyes met his once again.

I went back to my home planet, Cysaria. I found out many interesting things there....such that I am Garou....and that at least my father is alive, somewhere....and I really was not born on Cysaria, but the Planet Eden. Yes...many interesting things have passed....I have a daughter. I adopted her a day or so ago. Natia Lerf? Maybe you've seen the seven-year-old rugrat around before.

She laughed to herself slightly.

[Shade Magus]

Shade smiled.

"No...but I'll keep an eye out for her. With you as a mother, she will grow up to be a great Jedi and woman."

[Xazor]

Xazor blushed slightly and smiled.

Thank you, Shade.

She did not know what to say to a compliment like that. She felt undeserving to be a mother, after all of the grief she had caused families in her past. She shook the thought out of her head, grateful that she could have a daughter and give her best to the little one now...

I have four padawans now....a few of which love to test my patience.

She laughed slightly, thinking of them and how well they were doing already.

"Yeah...I heard......I am sorry about dropping the burden on you....I woulda been sorry anyways, but........I just shouldn't have left like that....I should have gven a little warning."

[Xazor]

Xazor nodded her head, feeling a twinge of anger towards him...like she had the night when she found the note on her bed. She sighed and let her eyes wander out the window and then back to meet his.

Why didn't you just take me with you? We were to be married for heaven's sake! Look at all that got ruined because of it....and now I don't have you anymore, even since you are back....you couldn't take me back....it wouldn't be right or fair to either you or Thanatos...

She had not told him much about that...and nervously dropped her eyes to the table top.

[Shade Magus]

Shade lowered his eyes as he turned his head from her and spoke.

"You want to know....then I'll tell you......."

Shade let out a deep sigh as he turned back towards her.

"After my fight with my brother.......I was ashamed because of what I had done. How could I ever face anyone again? I ran.....I ran so fast and so hard, that one day I just collapsed from pure exhaustion. For the next two month's I was on the first moon of my home planet. I lived there as I was nursed back to health. Then when I was well enough I went to the fourth moon......Crsyariast. It was rumored that only a true Jedi Knight could go there and survive. Anyone that had any connection to the darkside would become poisined. I lived there for another year, Crsyariast time....that was about two to three standard months. I lived there, rising all the darkness away from me. After awhile...I realized I still had one trail to past before becoming a true Jedi. I had to face my past......and here I am.....I am here...I am through with running and hiding...I am here to stay...........and whatever you feel compelled to do, just know that you will have my full support."

[Xazor]

Shade, you could have faced me! I loved you.....

Her last words trailed off. Indeed, her heart still needed him. She truly loved him and that little thing with Thanatos seemed nothing compared to what she had with Shade. She sighed and nervously played with a loose strand of her hair. She looked at him for a moment and smile.

I love you....

She rephrased what she had said before. Her love was not of the past......but of now, of the future. She smiled and gently moved a piece of his dark hair out of his face. Looking deep into his eyes, she spoke from her heart.

Shade......true love does not go away over night.....I can tell you honestly that what we had was real. Shade, I am in love! It is like the first time I saw you!

She honestly felt this way, and soon Thanatos was placed out of her mind.

[Shade Magus]

Shade blushed. It was something that she never seemed to have trouble getting him to do.

"I love you too......but I don't want to ruin your life again. If it is the way you want it now, then please don't change it just because of me."

[Xazor]

Nothing has changed. You and I belong together.......that is how things are supposed to be. Shade, it is our destiny.....

She noticed him blushing and it sent her cheeks into a crimson glow. She smiled gently, showing the love she felt through her eyes.

You can't ruin my life......you're my life.......

She said softly, taking his hand in hers.

[Shade Magus]

Shade blushed as he started as she covered his hand.

"What about Thanatos? I mean...I don't want you to hurt him....and I thought you were happy with him."

[Xazor]

Xazor looked down and shook her head.

He understands.....when I made my life vow to you....and he and I became involved, he knew that if you ever came back, he'd have to let go. I didn't love him! In fact.....I never even said that to him for I did not feel that way. Shade......I love you....I want to be with you forever. That is why I am still wearing this.

She held up her left hand......and the ring he had given to her was still on her finger. She had not taken it off since the day he put it on her hand.

My devotion to you is eternalized...worry not about Thanatos. He is more of a friend than anything....

She smiled reassuringly.

Shade reached out and embraced Xazor in a hug.

"I have missed you too....I am so sorry about everything......."

[Xazor]

Xazor fell into his embrace. His arms wrapped around her and hers around him. The love eminating from him was warm and something she missed for too long.

I missed you more than I can explain with words. Please.......don't leave me.....

She tightened her arms around his neck and rested her head against his.

[Shade Magus]

Shade moved and kissed her before placing his head on her shoulder.

"I won't.....never again......."

[Xazor]

Xazor kissed back.....it all seemed so perfect as if her life had been resurrected. She smiled and rested her head on his shoulder. The picture was like a painting. It had taken many days.....weeks......and months of toil, but in the end, it was worth it.

Now......we need to get a celebration underway. You left the day we were to begin the Engagement festivities! That is....if you still wish to go through with our marriage......

She secretly crossed her fingers behind his back as they stayed intertwined in the embrace.....

Shade smiled at her and nodded.

"Nothing would make me happier."

[Xazor]

Great! Let's get the party started! I have so much planning to do...

She laughed happily and kissed him once again as an eternal smile danced upon her lips.

She smiles to herself, thinking of everything that had yet to be done.

Before anything...we need to tell everyone and have a party!

Her heart sang with delight as she said this.
