View Full Version : Enough! (A Call to Arms)

Sage Hazzard
Apr 29th, 2002, 03:56:34 AM
The glass shattered into countless pieces against the back of the bar. The bartender ducked to avoid a collision.

"Hey!" Avolon, the bartender called out.

The Jedi Master looked at him. Suddenly, the bartender calmed down...

"All will be repayed, you needn't fret."

The bartender didn't seem affected by the Mind Trick, but replied.

"Whatever. You're paycheck."

He didn't have a paycheck... but that was besides the point.

Sage pounded his feet as he jumped onto a table.

"Attention Jedi!"

The patrons that had turned, mostly turned away. They had no business with the Jedi. They're neutrality in any coming events could save them from the wrath of Sith, or scorn of Jedi.

"Who among you are sickened by the tyrrany that has plauged the galaxy, brought on by the vile and infamous Sith?"

OOC - A similar thread has been made by me, but never seen through. So, I'm starting over.

Join up date is May 1st. I want this going quickly.

Apr 29th, 2002, 09:45:05 AM
Jedi Knight Xazor Dawnstrider rose from her seat, standing in the middle of the bar while everyone turned to look at her.

I am, Master Sage.....

She said deeply, crossing her muscular arms over her chest. She smiled at him and bowed.

I am tired of the Sith kicking us when we are down. I am tired of them believing that they have the best of us....

She said firmly as she stood on what seemed to be an island all her own.

Apr 29th, 2002, 12:30:15 PM
For a change, the little Padawan didn't say anything, he would just sit there until he had a better idea of where the Jedi Master in attendance was headed with this. Quietly, he peered over the top of his book, watching as different Jedi stood to speak up. Unsuprisingly, Xazor was the first to say something, Loki smiled as the events unfolded.

Natia Lerf
Apr 29th, 2002, 12:34:38 PM
*Natia, was sitting beside her Mother when the call to arms was made. As she had guessed, her Mother stood up, being willing to go and help with this. She says nothing, not knowikng what to say so she smiles up at her Mother*

Kurklash
Apr 29th, 2002, 11:02:13 PM
Kurklash leaned againt the wall, his arms crossed, sunglasses on, smoothe as silk. He was interested in what these Jedi had to say. He could always use a little extra money. Besides, there werent too many bounties up right now, and business was going slow.

Jedi Neo
Apr 30th, 2002, 01:25:20 AM
*Neo stays quiet as he listens to the Jedi Master rally the troops to war. He takes out a small bundle and lays it out on the table before him. He then also lays his lightsaber on the table and begins to take it apart. Neo knows that soon he will need his lightsaber operational, otherwise he may be caught defenseless.*

"Oh, my dear girl..."

Sage dropped from the table. He cupped her face in his hands.

"You... you see the light. You have the heart of a Warrior!"

He spun around, facing the rest of the bar.

"Who among you has the soul of a lion? Has the will to fight until death?"

The Jedi Master hopped back onto the table.

"A small group, including myself will depart shortly. We will undertake a mission to defeat and slay as many Sith as we can! Maddam Xazor, I trust I have you're sabre and the sure hand that guides it but we need more! Who will join us!?"

Loki Ahmrah
Apr 30th, 2002, 09:34:44 AM
"Excuse me!" Called out a little voice, just over the crowd.

Loki stood, he look around a little nervously and clasped his hands together before him. He walked over to where Xazor and Sage stood and then began to speak.

"Forgive me if I am being rude, but I just don't believe this to be the Jedi way; to go out looking for battle and adventure is not what Jedi are about from what I know."

He looked to Xazor and down to Natia, and smiled briefly before turning to Sage and continued.

"Although I have only been here six months, I have made sure to read up on as much about the Jedi way of life as possible and from what I've read Jedi should not seek adventure. We are protectors, peace-keepers, seekers of knowledge and I for one think the Warrior side to the Jedi Order is a blemmish upon that which we stand for, peace."

Many in the bar weren't interested in what the boy had to say, besides Jedi issues didn't interest most of the regular patrons of the Bar and Grill. Nevertheless, he was worried that his words might upset or annoy some fellow Jedi, but he had to speak his mind.

"Warriors walk a thin line, on the verge of passing into Darkness, this is a risk that should never be taken by a Jedi - it is the reason why Dark Jedi exist and thence, the reason why Sith exist - I believe it is foolish to go off in search of war and I mean no disrespect, but I am frankly quite suprised at a number of you for this. I don't mean to offend anyone, but as far as this adventure is concerned; if you are going to play with fire, one day you will get burned!"

Jedi Knight Leia Solo
Apr 30th, 2002, 10:27:48 AM
::A petite cloaked figure stood up and pulled back her hood. The Jedi Master walked over to Loki and patted him on the back, approvingly::

Sage!! I tend to agree with Loki. Although the sith are a true menace, unless there is a current event going on that we must stop them in their tracks to help preserve the peace there is no reason to seek them. Seeking them for no reason..is like in hunting them down. Very much like the darkside and very unlike a Jedi. So true words Loki said. We must always be mindful of the very thin line we walk. For we do not want to be consumed by the darkside.

::Casually Leia strided her way to Sage and stopped infront of him::

Tell me dear friend. Is there any particular reason that warrants your course of actions?

OOC: Yes..I am playing the devils advocate. But for a very good reason.

Sia Lan Darkheart

Sia-lan rises from her seat. The jedi warrior knight nods to sage. She steps over to Xazor and leans agaist a wall. She didn't say anything but she was agreeing to go. She waited for others and listened to what Leia had to say.

Natia Lerf
Apr 30th, 2002, 11:45:02 AM
*Natia listens to what Loki says, and then Leia. She can't help but agree with Loki on this. But on the other hand, if she had enough mobility, she would join the group going because she believes that what they are doing is for the good of the galaxy. She looks over to Xazor and then Sia as she joins her, a slight wishful look in her eyes as she looks at them but she doubts that they will let a child join them, especially an injured child. Quietly, under her breath, she mumbles*

If I could go, I would.

Sage Hazzard
Apr 30th, 2002, 11:55:16 AM
Sage shook his head grimly.

"Loki... Loki.... You young niave boy."

He sat down in a chair, exausted it seemed.

"Yes Leia, Loki is right to a degree. We should not seek adventure or provoke an attack. However.... I have seen the blood of war, felt it on my hands. You would say different if you knew exactly what these Sith did to their victims. They are dogs."

He stood up, renewed zeal.

"Self Defence is not always protecting yourself. If I defend others, by stopping a threat before it happens, is this not best? Why wait until the sheep are killed before you eliminate the wolf?"

He grabbed his lightsabre, holding it tight.

"I am willing to use this to save lives. If that means slaying an evil Sith to save just one innocent, than so be it."

The Jedi Master clipped the sabre back to his belt.

"The Dark Side and I are long enemies. To cross into it you must have emotion. I have none in this matter. It's a cold calculated fact that these pigs must be made to face the judgement that has been decreed."

OOC - I don't mind. In fact, I believe I'm playing the devil here. :)

Just to make a note, this is typical zealot behavior. Sage is one to the highest degree. OOC I'm not even sure this is good Jedi behavior, but I write through my character's eyes.

Jedi Knight Leia Solo
Apr 30th, 2002, 12:31:10 PM
::Leia looked very disapproving to Sage's behaviour. Placing her hands on his shoulders and looking deeply into his eyes::

How can you honestly say Loki is naive. He speaks the truth..young he maybe, but he seems wise beyond his years.

::The Jedi Master kept looking intensely into Sage's eyes::

Look at me Sage. I have seen and experience the same Darkness you speak of from the sith and the empire ..both!! Do you think I approve any of their actions. NO!! I don't. But listen to yourself Sage. You speak of going into this with NO emotions. My friend..I hear the emotion in your voice and see it clearly on your face. Not to mention sense it through you. Sage..you seek Revenge...my gosh.. Sage listen to yourself. Have you not heed the warnings of the great jedi masters that have become before us. Not to mention our own Master Yoghurt.

Please..Sage think this out clearly. Do not act in haste, for all I can see is the worse in this scenario.

OOC: I am going to sound like Obiwan and Yoda here. Standing by the Jedi Code. Go at it as you must. Leia is trying to jar some common sense in you Sage..or should I say Anakin;) j/k

:: AB came up behind Loki, patted the boy's shoulder. Though the boy was young, she was impressed with his simple insight. Sometimes even the elders needed to be brought down to terms of simplicity to understand the big picture. ::

:: Staying beside Loki, she looked up at Sage. ::

As much as I would like to see evil irradicated from the universe, I don't believe this is the correct course of action to take.

I will be the first to say I do not enjoy battles, but I participate in them when my life or that of another is in danger.

:: She shook her head. ::

But to go finding trouble... that is not the way a Jedi operates. What the boy said is true: A warrior travels a thin line, and unless he knows exactly what he is doing, he will fall. And in more cases than not, such an "adventure" in seeking out the Sith without provocation, aside from just wanting to destroy them, could lead to the Dark Side.

I am beginning to think you underestimate you foe, Sage. And this could lead to your undoing. Tread lightly the path you have chosen.

Kurklash
Apr 30th, 2002, 04:09:06 PM
Though he knew none of this was his business, Kurklash decided to join the debate anyway.

"Maybe Loki is right. Maybe it is wrong to go hunting for the Sith, instead of waiting for them to attack. Maybe this is revenge, as Leia just stated. But why not eliminate the problem before it occurs? Do you think the Sith would have any regret of killing every single one of you if a plague swept upon the Jedi? Do you not think they would attack if they saw you with your back turned? These arent normal people, they have been manifested by the Dark side, they show no mercy. Why not give them a taste of their own medicine? And you say that a Jedi must know exactly what he is doing before he follows the path of a warrior....did you think about what has been running through Sage's mind? He has probably been thinking about this for weeks, looking at the pros and cons of going to war or sitting on his butt waiting on the Sith to kill more innocent people."

The Jedi were suprised by the young man's interruption, not expecting a bounty hunter to care about their troubles...

AmazonBabe
Apr 30th, 2002, 05:07:02 PM
:: AB shook her head at the hunter's interuption. ::

Giving them a "taste of their own medicine" would make us no better that them. Hence we would come dangerously close to the Dark Side.

We do not operate like the Sith do, nor will we ever. They opperate under the Dark, while we opperate under the Light. They don't care what happens to people or themselves, but we care about both.

This is what differentiates us from them. And that is why we must be cautious what steps are taken, lest we fall prey to the ways the Sith have chosen.

Kurklash
Apr 30th, 2002, 08:41:57 PM
"Are you truly better than them? And do you not come dangerously close to the Dark side every battle you fight? They usually have one of two objectives during a fight with a Jedi. One, turn him to the Dark side, or two, kill him. And they most likely do care about themselves. Sith are greedy and hateful, and will do anything to make themselves come out on top."

Xazor
Apr 30th, 2002, 10:27:58 PM
As everyone was speaking against this whole idea, a spark of zeal ignited Xazor's heart. The young Knight walked over to the table and climbed up on top of it next to Sage. She knelt to one knee and bowed her head.

Despite what others may think and believe......I am a Warrior and I serve the light to my death. I shall fight for everything we stand for, but above all things, I shall fight for freedom. I am Xazor Leo Dawnstrider, Warrior Jedi Knight.....and I lay down my life for the honor of myself, my family, my friends....and this mighty Order. I am a Jedi...I am a Light.

The Garou announced to everyone. It was that very moment, something happened in Xazor's heart. It was almost like a transformation.....a renewal of faith. At that second in time she was confirmed a Warrior...a true one to the core of her soul. She had never felt anything like it before, but standing in front of everyone, and the one who proposed her promotion....made it all seem solid.

Jedi Knight Leia Solo
Apr 30th, 2002, 11:07:40 PM
::Leia nodded in agreement with Amazonbabe. The Jedi Master gave a scornful look at the Bounty Hunter::

Who are you to speak of the Jedi way..for you are a Bounty Hunter. Such a person as yourself has no soul. You are just like the sith. You seek greed, which is the bounty you are paid. This bounty is for the blood or a capture of a Jedi at times.

::The Jedi Master pointed at Kurklash::

Freedom of speech is one thing Sir. But you are more in agreement with the ways of a sith then a Jedi.

Now..the subject about defending the galaxy and preserving the peace we firmly believe.

::Leia looked on to all Jedi that were present::

I still stay by my belief. You go on this crusade..in a manner of adventure or revenge and let me tell you. You are on the thin line of revenge for the reasons Sage has mention. You will be tettering on the Darkside and if a sith knows this and trust me they do....they will use this knowledge against you.

I do not sit here idle. We are very much aware of the siths moves. Tremors in the force are red lights for Jedis. Not to mention telecommunications that are updated to us constantly from the Republic. You see we know when a problem arises and that is not saying a sith is murdering someone that instant. Do you understand?

I don't know what more to tell you. But if you must, be prepared to face the Darkside. They will try to take your down with deception along with their evil skills...at all cost. I only pray, you new Jedi truly know what you are up against. And Sage do keep that in mind. A new Jedi is more vulnerable to the darkside and you know this to be true.

Navaria Tarkin
Apr 30th, 2002, 11:18:05 PM
Navaria had heard about some sort of demonstration at the bar. A few Padawans and some civilians were talking amongst themselves about some Jedi going on a mission to seek out the Sith. She decided to investigate for the Force was an ever strong presence in her mind, almost luring her here to see what the commotion was about....

Voices were raised and some were familiar, some not. Emotions were high, emotions were calm. It was a strange feeling entering Yog's, hood drawn over her head.

The last thing she heard was Leia speaking up. Considering the timing of her arrival, Navaria was somewhat confused to everyone's stance on this matter but with simple heightened awareness... her mind and soul picked up stray thoughts and feelings. It gave her enough to go on but she stayed quiet for now.

She moved to the side of the bar, finding a free space to observe and listen... One did not jump into this discussion so freely without listening to everything.

Anbira Hicchoru
Apr 30th, 2002, 11:22:42 PM
:: Anbira shook his head, placing his hands on Loki's shoulders ::

This is all wrong. We must triumph over evil, but allow those with good still left in their hearts the chance to end their wicked ways. To hunt them, as we were once hunted, gives no such moral high ground that you seek. We are the destroyers, all the same, and defile the Jedi ways we represent by putting such actions in their name.

:: His eyes took on a sad look to them ::

If it is unavoidable, I will destroy those with evil hearts. But their destinies are in their own hands. I am not wise enough to presume to be their judge, at times of tranquility.

Sage Hazzard
May 1st, 2002, 01:16:37 AM
The Jedi Master shook his head.

"You have twisted my words far too much in your mind, my fellow Jedi. The punishment has been decreed, but only to those who decide not to change. I will not kill someone with a flicker of light, that would be hypocritical on my behalf, for I once had the Darkside in me."

He put his hands on his hips.

"Did I ever speak of a hunt? We will not hunt them and purge them from the galaxy without just cause. We will be on the hunt for Sith who have murderous intent. Do we Jedi not have this ability, to sense the emotions and general intent of another? This is how we shall find the ones who must be punished. The ones who are about to commit a sin against the Force, to murder. I am not a fool, I know to hunt and kill without cause is of the Dark Path."

He hopped off the table, facing Leia.

"My friend, you think you know.... but you do not. I have killed with a Dark Hand. I have seen through the eyes of the victims... what happens to their souls."

Finally, he turned to Loki.

"You are not unwise, Padawan. I forsee you becoming a greater man than I. But you are young, and with shortness of age comes niave outlooks. You know a small fractions of what I have seen..."

Finally he turned to the entire group.

"Does this silence you're woes?"

OOC - By the way, none of my words reflect any real Jedi fact. Sage is a little nuts if I can be straightforward. Something has warped him, warped his outlook on reality and life. So nothing I say should be an example to any Padawan reading this, or anyone looking for a better understanding of the Jedi, Sith, or the Force. Sage is a Zealot that often goes overboard with his views.

NOTE: The deadline for joining up in Sage's little overzealous crusade is extended to the 5th. Since story segments have come up, I forsee a lot of talking before a matter can be resolved, and newcomers feel safe to join in this RP.

Anbira Hicchoru

:: Anbira's eyes narrowed. ::

You will search for only the darkest hearts? You then claim a clairvoyance beyond the wisest of Jedi. The dark side is never so easy to see, and I will not endorse this self-righteous pogrom.

:: His eyebrow raised severely, as he glanced down to Loki ::

Come, Loki...such discussions are best settled when you are better trained.

Oriadin
May 1st, 2002, 04:22:00 AM
Oriadin had been sat in the bar and grill while this upstart had began. He was pleased to see Loki stand up for his views and not be afraid to confront Jedi of higher ranking than himself.

--I also share the views of Loki. A Jedi should only use the force to protect and to defend. NEVER to attack. We are keepers of the peace. Going after the sith could lead to a full on war between ourselves and them. If they feel threatend they will not sit and wait for us to get to them, they will come back at us in numbers. As Jedi, it is not our place to start a war, it is our job to prevent such a course. Sage, I think you out to think this one out. By the way you suddenly jumped to your feet and made a call to arms I sense this hasnt been thought through properly. You are a respected Jedi around here and you have to set an example to the young appretices, like myself.--

Oriadin glanced around the room to see what the others reaction would be to his words.

I decided I would comment

"While my views on a Jedi are more aggressive than the norm - I dont agree with this either. A Jedi like myself know how to attack, how to fight and how to kill.... but a Jedi is for compassion, honesty and forgiveness as well. I remember a great Jedi whom used to be here, he said the Jedi's prime purpose was to serve others. We are the protectors of the innocent, the poor, the weak. While I believe that this includes searching out evil and destroying it - there is a limit to what should be done. You are beginning to sound like Darth Turbogeek Sage Hazzard. Think, is that a good thing? remember how he ended up"

Satine Capashen
May 1st, 2002, 08:13:06 AM
"But think of the good he accomplished while he was here." A voice rings out from the doorway. Satine turns to regard Sage, and smiles.

"Think you'd do this without me buddy? I think not!" He says, walking over to him.

Oriadin
May 1st, 2002, 09:37:36 AM
Oriadin hears Satine's words. He displays a face of slight disapointment.

--What your doing is not right. The way your going about it is not right. A jedi should never go out with the intention of killing and with the intention of distruction. We are here to preserve life as far as possible, not end it. Peace is our sole mission, to kill is a last resort. Who are we to judge who should live and who should die. If we must kill in defence then so be it but it has to be because there was no other option.--

Oriadin spoke in a soft but confident tone.

Loki Ahmrah
May 1st, 2002, 10:55:05 AM
It was the first time Loki had realised how divided the opinions were amongst fellow Jedi with regards to what their purpose was in the Galaxy. This worried him a great deal and it was clearly visible, after he'd spoken up he remained silent whilst even respected Masters, those who held seats on the Jedi Council even, argued over what was a Jedi's role.

Inside he felt like he had said the right thing and it comforted him in knowing that there were many who shared his views, so when his master made his presence and opinion known it put his mind at ease significantly.

The arguements against what Loki believed had a great deal of logical reasoning to them yet seemed corrupted by proud hearts. His nose wrinkled a little in confusion, and heeding Anbira's advise, he went over to his table, grabbed his book and left for a quieter spot.

Natia Lerf

*Natia, a child of 7 has finally made up her mind, doesn't care what others think. She has suffered to much with the Sith and truly believes that they should be dealt with. She grabs her crutches which are leaning up against the table that she is sitting at and stands up. She then hobbles over to the table which her Mother and Sage are standing on. She stops beside that table and looks up at them*

I'm with you. I truly believe what you are planning is right.

*Natia turns to look at Loki with a slight smile*

Loki, this is for the greater good of the galaxy which this happens for. The Sith must be punished for there crimes.

*Natia speaks this quietly, but with determination in her voice with a touch of hatred at the mention of Sith*

Anbira Hicchoru

:: Anbira looks down gravely at Natia, as he and Loki walk away ::

Young Natia, you will find that oceans of innocent blood have been shed in the name of "the greater good". We must be certain when we fight, it is for a truly just cause, and do not hide behind pleasant, lofty words.

Loki Ahmrah
May 1st, 2002, 01:49:27 PM
On his way out, Loki hears what Natia has to say and hears the feeling in her voice, not a good feeling at that. For a second he stops, turns to face her and simply nods, acknowledging what she had said. He was young and was saddened to hear his friend talk this way, but would get involved no further. Turning silently, he walked out.

Eldrak Gruuhl
May 1st, 2002, 02:32:23 PM
Eldrak was doing just as he normally was around the places where his fellow Jedi dwelt. He was watching, observing, and learning more about those he had become a part of. There was a great deal of diversity of opinion and ideal.

He was comforted to see and hear the words of his Master and those of his Master’s other apprentice and knew that he had in fact taken an appropriate mentor in the learning of the way of the Force. Eldrak’s opinion mirrored that of his Master’s and his fellow padawan. Seeking battle would not be appropriate for him, and he would not join in any crusade to do such a thing.

It was true that evil did need to be quelled in one manner or another, but to put oneself in the place of judge, jury, and executioner was something the large green being would never do. The protection of innocents was something that he considered a duty of his, but to claim that this crusade was doing that was not something he could justify.

Who was he to say that there wasn’t just an ounce of innocence within the soul of one of those that they might find and others would deem to be pure evil?

He spoke no words, of his opinions, just listened to the debate and furthered his own convictions and ideals.

Maia Shadoe Tharrinn
May 1st, 2002, 06:37:06 PM
Maia sat listening to the proceedings. Her heart ached at the Jedi's words. She could remember her father telling her mother that such a thing was bound to happen. That the Sith just needed to sit back and wait. Soon some of the Jedi would tire of being abused by the Sith and they would rise up and attack.

Maia knew that it would lead to he darkside. Anger always did. Her eyes burned with tears. She knew that they all meant well and she could even feel the need to battle burn in her heart at the Jedi's eloquent words but her Jedi soul knew that it was wrong.

Maia leaned back in her seat watching and hoping. She saw no reason not to kill Sith if they attacked first or if they had put innocents in danger but to go and hunt them well it was just not the way of a Jedi...

Xazor
May 1st, 2002, 06:50:48 PM
Xazor stood up and looked around at everyone.

Why is it that none of you have zeal anymore? We might as well sit here and let the Sith destroy us, seeing as though you wish to do nothing about it. Peaceful talks have never worked.....or I would have resorted to that. I have tried! I have gone to their establishment, Rama's Corner. Everytime I have, I come out of there with massive injuries. I am tired of our name being trampled upon. I know how many of you feel about this, but I still stand firm in what I believe. With dark hands and heart I have been the slayer of many, killer of all.....now I am a Jedi. I do not seek revenge.....I seek resolve.

She jumped down off the table and hugged her brother whom had just walked in. With a smile she stood by him and Sage.

We are Warriors of the Light.....not killers, or...or murderers. How can you look down upon us so, when we are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice? This is what I believe.....

She said firmly, standing beside her fellow warriors. Natia shortly joined them and she wrapped her arms around the little girl, bending over to hug her.

Though you may not participate in this fight for freedom...your words are enough to boost the zeal in our hearts.

She said, before standing up once again to look out over the crowd that had gathered.

ooc: I too wished to state that Xazor can get very over-zealous. She is one of those "Go get 'em" type people. She is very stubborn in her ways and stuck in what she believes to be right. She is more of a tom-boy than anything and willing to risk it all....even if it is foolish.

ooc: that's not cool, I didnt get a chance to reply to Leia ;) . I'll try to reply to that post and still sound on the right timeline...

Kurklash was pained by Leia's comments. He would have yelled out what he was thinking right after she finished telling him off, but she would probably have tried to kill him. Instead, he played it off for a while, thinking of a better comeback.

"Leia, how can you be so sure that I have been corrupted by greed? You do not know me, what I have been through, or anything. If I wanted money, I could capture one of you any time I wanted, and turn you in to Rama or someone else who wouldnt treat you too nicely."

Anbira Hicchoru
May 1st, 2002, 07:16:22 PM
There was once a time...when Jedi did as you now rally and prepare to do.

:: Anbira turned around, his gaze piercing and commanding ::

An age long past, they actively sought those who might raise arms against them. They sought them out, and fought them, with lightsabers crashing, echoed in the distance by the cadence of white-armored clones.

:: If what Anbira said needed any more emphasis, his eyes seemed to bore straight through Xazor. ::

So when you ask me to set in motion the galaxy's second annihilation...forgive me if I do not. I will slay my enemy, but only as the ultimate finality. That is a judgment that no Jedi can be cavalier in dispensing.

Xazor
May 1st, 2002, 07:49:39 PM
Xazor could feel exactly what Anbira was trying to get across. She could feel his thoughts....and then recalled words which he had spoken to her. Something loomed on the horizon of her future, something dark. Could this possibly be it? Thoughts flooded her mind as she stood before him and everyone else.

Anbira, why do you do this to me? I am only standing for what I believe in my heart. I am not going to fall to the darkside whenever your "dark event" comes into my life. Have you been blinded to the fact that I am a Jedi and no longer what I used to be?

She questioned him through the Force, keeping the message tight so no one else would hear it. This puzzeled her deeply. She crossed her arms over her chest and thought as they stood there. Suddenly it hit her like a ton of bricks. She was not as trusted as she thought, and because of what she used to be....that is what others perceived her as now. It laid heavily on her heart now, and she felt a few tears coming to the surface.

Excuse me.....I must go....meditate or.....I don't know......

She walked away from the group and pushed through the crowd, shoving a few aside as she rushed out of the bar. Tears began streaming from her face as she stumbled out of the door, forgetting to grab her weapons. She ran outside and looked around, feeling helpless as she did. She bolted for the living quarters, ready to take up hiding in her room where she would not have to face the troubles that layed before her.

:: AB watched as Xazor left the bar abruptly, being a bit rude in shoving people aside to escape the building. She could feel strong emotions rolling off the woman. She shook her head, speaking in a whisper. ::

Oh for the love of the Core...

:: She didn't know why the woman was so bothered, nor did she feel it was her business, not unless Xazor sought her council or that of another Master. ::

:: But what she did know was that emotions were running high among the younger Jedi, and high emotions among those that were not yet fully trained always, if not, spelled disaster. She cleared her throat and spoke calmly, to set an example. ::

I think we all need to calm down just a bit. High emotions will get us no where, and it certainly won't help any of us to think straight.

:: She looked at Sage, though she meant no malice, she was concerned for those all "gun-ho" about this idea he had brought up. So as not to single him out verbally, she sent him a quick message through the Force. ::

This goes double for you.

"Look, Amazon, normally I do not have any problems with the mastres, but this is one thing. I am not a good little Jedi if I don;t want to wait to get attacked? Fine. I can handle that. Now, I'll be going now...Sage, buddy, give me a yell when the fun starts."

Satine turns around and heads to the door, his jumpsuit turning to hardened leather armor, and his cloak turning into a sleeveless black trenchvoat. Jedah Lynch
May 1st, 2002, 10:20:34 PM
Peering out from beneath his hood he sipped on a cup of tea and continuously snapped one finger against his thumb. The tea was sweet with a pleasant enough aroma that rose from the warm liquid but he paid little heed to it save when he first received the drink.

Turning his eyes to Rama he sipped on the tea once more.

They are not ready.

The dark side claimed Jedis that let their emotions get the better of them, it wrapped around their soul planting the seeds to bloom when the stress and emotional level overcame those who could not stand their ground and maintain their anger.

Too young, too rash and stupid. The dark side are too close to them, it whispers to them.

Eyeing the Jedi from his hood a green light shined in his eye. There was potential for chaos here. It lurked around them. A vicious dark lord was born out of the folly of the Jedi when they allowed one of their own to be consumed by the darkness when the warning signals were there. It was in front of their face festering until it exploded and laid waste to a galaxy of Jedi.

Dead.

All of them.

Until later the darkness was overcome for a brief time.

It was not the first time the darkness had risen, the golden age of the Sith was testimony to show that.

The story is a generational one.

Sipping his tea he placed a hand to his chin in thought and watched as Rama left laughing.

They are not ready yet........

Pulling his hood low over his face he frowned as he got up from his table leaving some credits on the table for the tea and tip. At least Rama didnt blow up the place. Following after that guy was an occupation hazzard added to an already constant potentially fatal life style.

In due time events would be put in motion. There would be an reckoning and nothing would be the same again. One day. When the time was right it would end as was suppose too.

In fire.

Exiting the bar he faded off into the distance.

Navaria Tarkin
May 2nd, 2002, 12:24:39 AM
With the Sith speaking it up, it made it all too clear for Navaria.

"A Jedi is calm ... at peace with the Force. When a Jedi lets his emotions take control, a slave to the Dark Side they will be. Crusades based on eradicating evil. A noble purpose it serves on the surface but does it really accomplish.. No...."

It was spoken with concern and with sadness.

"This will only end badly. Looking for trouble is not our way. We are defenders of the peace and soothe the sick and troubled. We mediate... we protect."

She had heard enough. There was no way to order Sage and Satine to stand down, or for anyone else that goes along with this. If they were to walk this path then so be it... but in her heart... Navaria knew it was wrong. They were not soldiers... Jedi do not go in search of battle and warfare..

OOC~ A pet ewok Jedah LOL!!!

Sage Hazzard
May 2nd, 2002, 01:16:56 AM
Sage had his head bent over, tears of frustration coming to the surface. He grabbed a glass of a nearby table. With a deft swing of the arm it flew across the room, shattering. He then looked up, trying to choke back his hot tears. He succeeded but his jaw remained clenched.

Have they betrayed me? Have my friends betrayed me?.... I am alone, as I always have been and always will be. This is my battle... Was he feeling emotion now? No... this wasn't the way a Jedi Master must feel... How did a Jedi Master feel? He never fully understood that. No twinge of emotion, ever?

"You are all wrong and one day you'll thank me for saving you from death."

He tugged at his sabre.

"I will do this alone, without Satine or Xazor. You do not share my views... and I won't lead others against you're disapproval. I'm taking their chance for a decision out of this. I'm leaving. Now."

Sage ripped off his hilt from the belt.

"Don't try and stop me," his voice was cold and distant. Like he was a million miles away... He was wishing he was. A million miles closer to his father.

He walked a straight line to the door, not laying eyes on a soul.

OOC: Feh!! I missed a day in this thread and a lot has happened! :(

IC:

::Leia continued to scornfully look at Kurklash. It is a jedi trait to know and feel someone's inner thoughts. She knew the bounty hunter was being smug with his comments::

::Sarcastically, in true Leia fashion. She replied::

Oh Pleaseeeeeeeeeeeee!! You are seriously trying to convince me that you are a GOOD Nature Bounty Hunter!!

::The Jedi Master gave out a loud and sarcastic chuckle::

Forgive me. BUT..I have never met one of those. We all know what bounty hunters are and yet you beg to differ. Oh please!! I care not to carry on such a silly conversation with you.

::With that Leia turned her back on Kurklash and watched the others continued this deep discussion. Taking note and sensing..despicable sith in the parameters. The Jedi Master just shock her head side to side. She knew this conversation should not have got out of hand like it has and become a spectacle::

::Sigh::

::She like the other Jedi Masters truly knew that this mission Sage was so hell bent on going on...was a truly big mistake. This saddened Leia's heart::

Sage..you are making a BIG mistake..my friend. What Anbira, Amazonbabe, Loki, and Navaria said is so true. Heed our warnings. This is a terrible mistake. We do not condone this course of action. A great Jedi Master once said: "We, Jedi are Peace Keepers NOT soldiers!" Please..think about what you are doing.

::Leia's word fell in vain..as she watched Sage walk out the bar::

Jedi Neo
May 2nd, 2002, 11:34:33 AM
::Jedi Neo looked up from his work in allinging a crystal in his lightsaber as watched the Master leave.::

I know I'm new here, but I think that it is wrong to go about attacking someone with anger. I have seen this happen in many people when I was helping to hide the innocent from the Imperials on Coursacant. I think that anyone that goes with him will need to watch their back, for while they hunt one Sith, three more Sith will be hunting them. So, how do we do this?

Lets face it, we will soon need to do something. We are the protectors of the peace, and recently there has been no peace. And at the same time we must not let ourselves be goaded into a fight that we either cannot win or cannot live with after it is over.

Natia Lerf
May 2nd, 2002, 11:53:04 AM
*Natia looks at Neo and then to all the other Jedi in the B&G&

We have done nothing for to long. I know I am just a child, and still young, but I would not be surprised if I have a better understanding of Sith then any of you. My home is controlled by Sith. My Father's best friend was a Sith. Before escaping from my home, my Father's best friend tried to teach me to be Sith and look what it did to me. I am injured beyond healing right now and all you do is talk about how wrong it is for us to go out and prevent stuff like this from happening. If Jedi is just all talk, then I wish no part of it. I may not be able to do anything, but at least I can do a small part by supporting. If I can go and help with this, I will. If not, I will support it 110% unlike most of you here.

*Natia starts to hobble out of the B&G, an upset look on her face, not wanting to believe what her legal guardian said about Jedi, about how weak and pathetic they are. She does not want to believe this, but she is starting to see a little bit of truth in it. She holds her head held high as she continues to make her way out of the B&G with the assistance of her crutches*

Navaria Tarkin

"No young one..."

Navaria said as Natia walked out.

".. you aren't the only one that understands the Sith well. I know in a most twisted sense and this course of action, full of emotions that guide our decisions is a road to destruction.

The evil that the Sith bring must be stopped, but not in this manner.... The Force is our strength and guide. What Sage wants can happen in this form. With help from our planetary allies and other free systems... then, we can plan something.

Irrational attacks will do nothing but bring pain."

She sighed, and shook her head before shrouding her face with the hood of her cloak.

"This has been a dark day and I see it only growing worse."

When she first came to the Jedi, her goals were simple, yet difficult. But they were possible and things were much simpler. Where she stands now, things were unclear and divided.

This would do the Jedi no good.... not at all.

Neo is right. We cannot take up arms with Sage's errant cause. But we can ward over him.

May 2nd, 2002, 04:10:56 PM
Kurklash was disgusted as Leia rudely turned her back to him. He yelled back anyway.

"I never said I was a good natured bounty hunter. I simply stated that greed is not what corrupted me. The Force corrupted me! My father was a Jedi and my mother a Sith, I was stuck in the grey, between the black and white. Lost in the Shadows where Light and Dark meet. You speak so surely about me, as you have known me all of my life. But you know nothing about me. Sure you can read my mind, but you do not understand it. You believe what you see the clearest, not what is trapped in the back of my head, torturing me constantly. Over the years I have learned to deal with it, but lately the fight has become stronger. Something will happen soon, and it may destroy me, or possibly make me stronger. That I cannot determine. What I do know is that you are making a mistake by not joining your fellow Jedi Master, one of the few who can actually see what the problem is. I wish to hear no more from you now, so I will leave. Maybe you and your foolish friends will come to your senses."

Kurklash walked out of the bar, grabbing his sword from the weapon's keeper on his way out. He wasnt sure if he should have said what he just did, but it was too late...

Navaria bowed to him, and then to Neo.

The Knight looked around.

"Find me elsewhere. Too many ears here. Good day."

She returned to her quarters, knowing she had a lot of thinking to do.

Natia Lerf
May 3rd, 2002, 12:53:00 PM
*Natia stops just at the door and turns to look at Navaria*

What Sage is proposing will help more then it will hurt. I may be a kid and I may be just learning the ways of the Jedi still, but one thing I have learned is that Jedi help ppl and Sage is planning on doing just that.

The Force may be our strength and guide, but sometimes the best defense is the offense.

I just wish that I could do something to help with this. At least so I can punish the Sith for the wrongs they have committed against everybody.

*Natia speaks this last bit with her voice full of conflicting emotions. She speaks it as though there is one in particular that she wishes punishment on. After a moment, she lowers her voice drastically, knowing that Jedi have good hearing regardless of the amount of noise in the room, she speaks these words*

If you know another way that I can help punish these Sith, then please tell me.

They must be stopped before they harm more ppl.

Navaria Tarkin
May 5th, 2002, 03:10:54 PM
Navaria pauses to turn around.

"A Jedi acts clear of emotions, not out of revenge. When we act like the enemy... are we any better then those we wish to destroy?"

She nodded to Natia and then continued on.

She understood more then most knew about why some of the Jedi wished to go on this crusade... but it was a bad omen...
