Hoppjing

[Daanarri Raurrssatta]

Daani hopped down the stairs from her rooms with Saa and Cirr and banged into the door to the main bar and grill. She fumbled with the door handle, still hopping on one foot. Finally the door opened, and she wobbled through, switching to her other foot.

She hopped to the bar, and hopped some more, her head periodically appearing above the bar. hop, hop, hop. "jI'd ljike a drrrjink, pleassse!"

Seer watched Daa hop up and down, her eyes briefly flitting to her son Morrouw before looking back at Daa.

Havjing prrroblemsss therrre, ljittle one?

She asked, smiling slightly, this one's scent was easy to read. In her thoughts Seer somewhat wondered if she had a daughter, what it would look like. At any rate, she probably didn't have long to wait given how close Kit and her were now.

:: AB looked over to the little girl, and smiled, watching her hop about. She looked to the bartender who had heard the order, but it hadn't been specified what was wanted. She then looked back to the little girl. ::

Did you have anything in mind as to what you wanted to drink? A fruity Ithorian slushee perhaps?

(a glass came sliding down the bar, stopping right in front of the little Cizerack. The amber liquid inside sloshed about a bit, but not a drop spilled.)

"Give her a little of that. It'll, ah... it'll put some hair on her chest."

(he chuckled)

:: AB grabbed the glass before the girl could, and glared at the Padawan. ::

Gurney!! Behave!!

:: A corner of her lip came into a lopsided grin, and she gave the glass to the bartender. ::

How bout an Ithorian fruit slushee for the young lady?

:: The bartender grunted and went to fill out the order. In a few moments, he was back with a pinkish looking drink, somewhat icey and thick, with three red berries floating in the center. AB addressed the little girl. ::

Why don't you try that?

Daani reached for the golden coloured drink, still hopping, but it was removed before she could touch it. She pouted, and then smiled when the red headed female put another drink in front of her.

The little Cizerack switched to the other foot. Hop, hop, hop. "Thank ... jyou!" Daani's voice came out between the hops, and she reached for this new drink. Then she paused, still hopping. How was she going to drink it while bouncing?

With a little resigned sigh, she stopped hopping and scrambled up onto a bar stool, pulling on the hooded man's cloak to help her up. Then she stuck her finger in the cold drink and licked it off. "Mmm, jitsss good!"

(clearing his throat, the padawan looked down to get a better view of Daanarri as she pulled herself up on his cloak)

"What are ye doing here all by yerself, little one?"

HOLY FRELL!! *kesh yelled as a table overturned on her paws.she limped over to the bar.sitting next to a little imp of a girl cizerack.she ordered a nehi and rubbed her throbing paws* that hurts really bad

She smiled at the hyuu-mann...at least she assumed he was a hyuu-mann. It was hard to tell with his hood pulled over his face. "jI wasss hoppjing! jI'm trrrjyjing to get to a hundrrred hopsss wjithout ssstoppjing." Daani frowned slightly, "Majybe next tjime."

A shout from the room behind her distracted the girl, but then she returned to her drink, slurping it noisily through the straw.

:: AB watched Daanarri as she gulped her drink down. ::

Now too fast now, or you might get a brain freeze.

(He grunted)

"Ya kids... too much energy for yer own good."

(Reaching over, Gurney retrieved his drink from the bartender and took another swig)

"What's yer name, cutie?"

Daani beamed at the man, and replied, "jI'm Daanarrrrrrji, but mossst people call me Daanji. jI'm ssseven." She held up six fingers, and then corrected the number to seven.

:: AB grinned watching the exchange between little girl and cowl-concealing Padawan. It was an interesting sight to say the least, but a happy one. ::

She heard a muffled curse from the kitchens, and a small forrda scampered out from the double doors and ran along side the bar. Sajoji! Daani hopped down, tipping her stool over in her haste, and ran after the terrified mouse.

:: AB's relfexes were quick, and she caught the stool before it tipped anymore towards the floor. At the same time, Gurney did likewise. Both looked rather comical with a stool precariously teatering in one hand, and their respective drinks in the other. ::

:: AB burst out laughing, righting the stool with Gurney's help, and watched as the Cizerack girl leapt after the small rodent. ::

Daani pounced for the little white mouse, but it escaped at the last second, squirting out from her hands and running for the tables. She picked herself up and darted amongst the patrons of the bar, singleminded in her pursuit of the tiny forrda.

She nabbed it finally, and blew on it, loosening the dust bunny it had managed to pick up in its flight from her. The little mouse twitched its nose, and she snapped it up in two bites. "Mmm!"

Seer watched somewhat, it was easy to tell who the cub was related to even without the scent. Her eyes went back to her own cub.

Hopefulljy jyou'll neverrr have that much enerrrgjy-she said quietly to her son Morrouw. The cub mewled and smiled showing off his almost full set of teeth. The young cub reached up and caught a handful of his mother's hair and tugged lightly before mewling quietly once more.

Daani's eyes went wide as she caught sight of the little cub, and then she hopped across the room, chewing and swallowing the last of the sajoi. She tried to muffle a burp, but didn't suceeded, expelling it over the course of two hops.

She sidled up to the Cizerack female and the cub, and peered at the littler one. "Oh, jitsss a bojy." Daani sounded disappointed.

Seer smiled at that, before shrugging her shoulders.

Sssorrrrrrjy to djisssapojint but jI had no chojice jin what jI got, jI have a feeljing mjy next wjill be a gjirrrl though.....

She smiled and ran her fingers through Morrouw's hair and the little cub mewled then purred softly.

Daani pondered that for a minute. "No chojice?! That doesssn't sssound ljike jitsss verrrjy fajirrr." She frowned at the little cub, and poked it. "Malesss arrre ssstupjid."

She grinned with the innocence of youth as the cub gripped her finger, drawing it towards his mouth. "jI'm not a sssajoji! Help!" Daani giggled.

Seer giggled before moving Morrouw's hand away from his mouth and prying his fingers loose from Daanarri's finger. She waved a finger in front of her cub's face before looking up at Daa again.

She sniffed the cub again, still overly curious. "He looksss ljike Cjirrr jin the holo's Motherrr keepsss jin herrr rrroom. When he was tjinjy, ljike thjisss one." Daani made a face at the cub, and he laughed at her.

In fact, he looked an awful lot like Cirr. Daani squinted at the cub, and then at the older female. Her little forehead knotted in thought, trying to figure out this strange coincidence.

(Aw frell) Seer thought to herself, her thoughts racing a little.

Seer said before looking around a little, she had sent Kitssarri to get some food and it was a good way to distract Daa's attention.

Daani looked around. "Who jisss Kjit? jIsss he the fatherrr?" She scrambled up onto a barstool next to Seer, and ruffled the cub's hair again. "Majybe Cjirrr can help fjind hjim jif he'sss gotten lossst!"

She looked around, not seeing her brother, but shouting nonetheless, "Cjirrr! Cjirrr! Come herrre!"

Seer winced at the yelling before she answered.

Kjit jisss mjy mate, jI sssent hjim to go get sssome food but jI wouldn't worrrrrjy about hjim gettjing lossst, he doesssn't leave mjy sssjide forrr verrrjy long......

Daani might have noticed that Seer didn't affirm that Kit was the father, but she didn't pay enough attention to the female's words.

In fact, she didn't pay any attention to them. "CjIRRR!" Her shrill voice was barely heard above the hum off the crowded bar, and yet she had full faith that Cirrsseetto would sudennly appear. He was always there for her, when Saa wasn't in need of him.

(Hmm, didn't seem to notice I didn't fully answer her question) Seer thought as she looked around the bar, she didn't really see any sign of Cirr but it seemed Daanarri wasn't going to stop yelling for a bit. Seer then looked back at her son who was wincing a bit at the yelling. Running her fingers briefly through Morrouw's hair, she then smiled when he purred and smiled back at her.

As if on echo-location, Cirr followed the sound of Daani's juvenile chirping voice, arriving on the scene. He smiled at her, glancing up to Seer, and smiling, a bit more nervously. He noticed the little cub she was carrying, and his smile widened in spite of himself. After a second or two, he returned his glance to Daani.

What, Daanji?

The little girl grinned, one tooth finally growing back in on the top of her mouth. "Kjit jisss mjissssssjing!" She pointed at the female, and then realized she didn't even know her name.

"Um, herrr manssserrrvant..." Daani faltered. Suddenly shy, she hopped off the stool and wrapped her arms around his waist, reaching up to do so and tucking herself under his arm. She hid her face in his side, feeling foolish, and suddenly aware on a subconscious level of the slight tension between the two older Cizerack.

Seer smiled nervously before looking back down at Morrouw.

jI neverrr sssajid he wasss mjisssssssjing, he'sss jussst off gettjing sssome food.

Seer said quietly before smiling nervously again, it had been quite some time since she had seen Cirr but having Daai around now wasn't good if she was going to talk to him. She knew the young cub would mean well but there was always the chance she would slip and tell Saa by accident.
