Luke swanters up to the bar and pulls up a stool.

he sits diligently as the tender makes his(her) rounds around the counter and until he(she) is standing infront of a battered Jedi.

"Greetings mister, what can I get you?"

The stronges ale you got, the Jedi answers

Tender: you been here before? I don't remember seeing you around, yet you look somewhat familar.

Luke: I have been gone for some time.

tender: so what do you go by?

Luke: oh I'm sorry, how rude of me not to introduce my self I am...,

Luke pauses as he looks around, he had been on the run for so long it was easy to be a bit suspicious and parinoid.

Luke: You can just call me Luke.

Tender: Luke huh, well that has become a popular name in the galaxy these days, everyone thinks that if they name their kids after that great Jedi it will make their life better. blah, he was just a kid that was in the right place at the right time.

Luke: yeah..he was.........

"A nice little microbrew, funny name."

Danya slapped a dark bottle on top of the counter.

"Dead Guy Ale. On the house. . . Luke."

She winked at him, throwing away the removed bottlecap.

Arakyd Probe Droid
Mar 17th, 2002, 12:37:05 AM
It had been some amount of luck that the Probe Droid that was dropped on Arcan IV was never tracked down and destroyed. For two months, it laid low, gathering reconaissance data, and remaining out of the picture. However, as it passed close to the main town, a figure caught its visual sensor's attention. It zoomed in, magnified the clarity, and siphoned through its search parameter database.

It was a match.

Luke Skywalker.

Flagging as the highest priority, the probe droid activated a high-powered holonet beacon, alerting its controllers that it had found one of its quarries.

Corellia

Hung menacingly in the backdrop of space like a dark dagger, the Super Star Destroyer Stormcloud prowled the cold ether, poised to strike at an instant against whatever fell under the ire of its dark command. Currently, its attentions fell to listening to thousands of probe droids, which had been dispersed across the galaxy, to hunt down the Sith Order's enemies. It was slow business, but occasionally...

Lieutenant Hes: Admiral, I'm picking up a faint signal. Stand by for triangulation.

Admiral Sondt diverted his attention from a systems report he was browsing through, holding the datapad behind his back as he clasped his gloved hands, turning from the starboard viewport to the crewpit below.

Admiral Sondt: Yes, Lieutenant. Report.

Hes concentrated on his work, boosting the signal feed and correlating the data with both Corellia control and a nearby Star Destroyer, the Veritas. When he was ready, he prepared the data for dissemination.

Lieutenant Hes: Admiral, the feed signal has been triangulated to Arcan Four. Our viper probot there has flagged it as a highest priority.

Switching on the playback, Hes and Sondt viewed a middle-aged, sandy-haired man walking into a bar of some sort. The video zoomed on the man's face, froze playback, and lined it up with a picture from the old Imperial archives. In an instant, both men knew they were onto something very big.

Sondt's eyes widened, and his jaw set.

Admiral Sondt: Luke Skywalker...

The Admiral glanced about, thinking quickly. He paced to a wall, hitting a commlink.

Admiral Sondt: Lord Vader, this is Admiral Sondt. We have a probe droid contact that you may wish to see.

Darth Vader Returns
Mar 17th, 2002, 01:14:07 AM
:: The massive double doors to the Stormcloud's bridge opened, and the obsidian-clad Dark Lord of the Sith strode through, his cape trailing behind in an afterthough of hatred, its sliding over the deck muted only by Vader's chilling timbre of mechanical breathing. With deliberate purpose, Vader approached the Admiral, who almost seemed to shrink from his baneful presence ::

You found something, Admiral?

TSO Naval Officer
Mar 17th, 2002, 01:20:20 AM
Sondt stammered slightly. Something about the Dark Lord was terribly unnerving, and he found it to be very uncomfortable to talk to him, or even be around him. Of course, rumors did abound of the trail of corpses Lord Vader left behind of the officers who failed him. His former commander, Admiral Jeyet, was one of them. Slowly, Sondt regained his senses.

Admiral Sondt: M'Lord, five minutes ago, a scout droid at Arcan Four sent a priority signal to us.

Sondt signalled to Hes, who in turn, replayed the data on a large screen on the command deck.

Darth Vader Returns
Mar 17th, 2002, 01:28:04 AM
:: Vader watched ominously, as the datastream played. He saw the figure on screen, and saw his face positively matched to the imperial archive file of Luke Skywalker. ::

Skywalker...you should not have come back!

:: He turned quickly to Sondt. ::

Admiral, make ready our battle fleet for instant mobilization, and send a signal to all bounty hunters available!

:: The Dark Lord's gaze returned to the screen, as he raised a black-gloved fist, tightening his grasp so that the leather creaked. ::

I want Skwalker brought to me...

:: Vader slowly turned around to face Sondt, his voice lowering. ::

...and I want him dead.

TSO Naval Officer
Mar 17th, 2002, 01:36:01 AM
Sondt was suprised. Dead? But wasn't Skywalker...

...wasn't he the son of Vader? Of course, years had passed since the Emperor died at the fateful Battle of Endor. Skywalker had murdered him, throwing him over the reactor core railing. It was believed that Vader was also murdered at his hands, but was revealed later that he was left for dead, barely escaping the exploding Death Star. The story also went, according to rebel propaganda, that Luke Skywalker was the son of Darth Vader, who was in fact Anakin Skywalker. Perhaps the loss of a great Emperor, and the attempt by his son on his life many years ago, had made the Dark Lord resolute in his progeny's destruction.

Sondt snapped out of his thoughts, curtly bowing.

Admiral Sondt: Ah..of course, Lord Vader. It shall be done.

Sondt strode away, making preparations to carry out the Dark Lord's bidding

Kal Jericho
Mar 17th, 2002, 06:46:01 PM
After an intense game of tennis with his new-found friend, Xazor, Kal returned to the docking bay to install the new audio system into his freighter. It cost him a fair price, but Xazor added a generous amount to it. With enough speakers to be placed throughout the entire of the ships interior, it would make for some serious partying in deep space. Kal sat down in the cockpit for a moment when a beeping noise could be heard. It was the subspace transceiver. A new message had come through. Kal activated it.

Moments later, the cockpit door swished aside as Kal walked to his quarters. He quickly changed into a more suitable attire other than white shorts, a white polo shirt and a pair of brand-spankingly new white trainers. Several minutes later, Kal descended the boarding ramp and, brushing his hand against his side to check he had his heavy blaster pistol, muttered something under his breath...

"I'm supposed to be on vacation!"

Luke's Comm beeps as he is finishing his drink.

Luke presses a button and speaks into the device.

Luke: Go with transmission

Rogue Flight Leader: Commander Skywalker, I think its time we get moving, you know you shouldn't stay in one place to long.

Luke: I know Rog, but I am getting sick of running, this is the only place I've known that really feels like home, but maybe you're right, Its best not to get to attached to anything in this line of work.

Luke: There are some things I need to finish up first, and that'll proabably take a couple days, besides I've been gone for so long that nobody even recognizes me anymore. How could anyone track me back here anyway, with all of the random hyper jumps, I think we're safe for now skywalker out

Luke thinks for a moment "The last Leia knew, I was dead, maybe its best she still think that"

Luke orders another drink
last one then its down to business

Kal made his way to the "Bar & Grill" as fast as he could. Thankfully, his Skybird Swoop had just been finished at the mechanics workshop so it made the journey a heck of a lot faster. He brought the repulsorlift speeder bike to a halt a few hundred yards away from the estblishment. No need in causing a ruckus with the sound of a roaring engine. And besides, Kal wasn't sure how many other Bounty Hunters had received the transmission, let alone how many were on the planet or nearby.

Saul Ghalil
Mar 18th, 2002, 10:42:15 PM
In orbit above Arcan Four, a transmission is received by a highly modified Skipray Blastboat. The specifications are fit for transplanetary class travel. The file is automatically decoded and flashed on the holonet aboard the bridge of the ship. An hologram of an Imperial Officer is displayed announcing a bounty has been placed on one, Luke Skywalker, for astronomical sum. His present location is Arcon Four. In an establishment known as Yoghurt's Bar and Grill. The subsequent coordinates appear upon the holonet's monitor. A gloved hand switches the transmission off and small chuckle is heard.

Moments later, Saul Ghalil steps up to the B&G doors with two highly modified blasters holstered on each hip. A deep voice calls, "Excuse me, sir!" Saul turns around to be confronted by a large man in a uniform, presumably a guard with another two uniformed men armed with blaster rifles. Saul squints at them, feighting confusion. The large man steps up, "No weapons allowed."

He had done a reconnaissance, circling the building and checking the surrounding perimeter. Standard precedural. The city was swarming with constant military police presence. Saul reconsiders a violent action and relieves his blasters to the guard.

The guard smirks, "You can collect them at the entrance's vault and enjoy your stay on Arcan Four." Saul absently nods his head and steps through the doors. As his eyes adjust to the dimlighting, he glances around, carrying himself with an inconspicuous demeanor as if he was looking for an old friend. Saul visually confirms Luke Skywalker and steps off subtley to an darkened area.

Kal strolled towards the main entrance. He noticed the guard to the right hand side of the doors. He hadn't looked this way yet. Quickly, Kal took a palm-blaster and stuffed it down the back of his trousers. It was concealed perfectly by the long brown, yet tattered, leather jacket. Kal stepped up to the guard, who stopped him. Kal handed over the heavy blaster pistol which was already in his hand...

"Take good care of it. Heh!"

He smiled, and carried on into the bar. He'd watched, from his speeder bike, the other man entering the bar. Kal took a seat on the opposite side of the bar to Skywalker, keeping one eye on him and another on the bounty hunter. At least he assumed he was a bounty hunter!

(Hunters were like vultures. As soon as a body was found to be ready and ripe for the picking, a whole horde of them would turn up and begin circling the carcass. She pitied most of these 'vultures' in many ways. They would come for the meat, but they wouldn't get it. Why? Because there would be bigger, better, stronger, faster predators one step ahead of them.)

"One Narrrcolethe..."

(Jaah purred out her words and glanced back over her shoulder at Skywalker. He was definetly the one - the rotting body of the day. It brought a wicked smile to her face to think that by the end of the day, that man would have a bullet through his forehead.)

"That'll be..."

(The Cizerack didn't bother to listen to the tender. She dropped down some credits, which she assumed would suffice, and slunk away into the crowds...

There were at least two other guns for hire, neither of which she recognized. In all honesty, she didn't care who they were. In the end she would be the one taking home the bounty and they would still be here, drowning in their own vomit hopefully!

With that pleasant thought on her mind, Jaah approached Skywalkers table.)

"Good evenjing. Don't mjind jif jI jojin jyou, do jyou?"

(Without waiting for an answer the felinoid slipping down into a chair by Skywalker and set her drink on the table.)

The Bounty Hunter had received the transmission almost instantly, being one of vader's favored bounty hunters. She had been near the sector where Arcan IV was, and had made haste to the small planet, pushing her engines to the limit, knowing full well other bounty hunters were also on the job. Once reaching Arcan IV, she had camofladged into a disguise, making her way to the bar&grill, thinking that a good place to start from. Luck was on her side when she saw her quarey was already there.

She had been sitting in the bar for quite some time, watching Skywalker intently. She looked like a young woman, fair skin, sandy blonde hair, and hazel eyes. For the most part she looked ordinary and harmless. Little did Skywalker know she was anything but.

Bringing up a small Force-nullifying bubble around her mind, and getting up from her seat at a table, she was about to join Skywalker for a drink when a Cizerack moved in. Damn those creatures. One of these days she would kill one and keep it's pelt.

She melted back into her seat, re-evaluating her plan. The minute her rear hit the seat, she had a new plan. Taking out a small computer which resembled a data pad, she discretely aimed it's hidden camera at the Cizerack. Time to do some homework. Back on her ship, the computer took the picture and began a search on all known files for such a being, classified or unclassified, breaking and entering into top files. As she waited, she drank her drink and watched the two from the corner of her eye, pretending to read the novel on her "data pad". A few minutes passed by and finally the information came up: Jaaheessaa Leeouurruu, Cizerack Bounty Hunter. Interesting. She knew there weren't many Cizeracks who took up bounty hunting. And those that did were good at their job. She smiled. She always did enjoy a challenge.

Putting the "data pad" away, she resumed her drinking for awhile longer. Letting the two mingle for a bit. One way or another, she would get Skywalker, that would not be a problem.

Saul was debating whether to keep Luke under observation or take action when a new figure entered the B&G carrying himself rather differently. Saul had been around these types for so long that he could smell a hunter in a crowd of a thousand scoundrels and villainy. Saul himself was a jack of all trades not strictly a hunter but liked to get his hands dirty in everything that promised quick credits and a large sum at that.

Sitting at the table, occassionally glancing at the legendary Jedi. His prey. Without his blasters but not without a will or a way. His quandry almost at end as he steps in the mensroom. Once in the mensroom, he glances around, fortunately it is empty.

Unbuttoning the cuffs of his long-sleeved shirt, Saul retrieves a thin rod measuring ten inches in length and half-inch in diameter from latex forearm guards hidden in each sleeve. Placing the ends of the rods together snug until there is a small audible click, forming the barrel. Reaching into a secret pocket on the inside waist lining of his pants, he retrieves a palm-sized receiver with chamber and trigger mechanism. Setting it against the proper end of the assembled barrel, giving a hard twist until another audible click is heard.

Saul grins and removes a metal vial from the secret pocket. Opens the vial and carefully removes a dart. Opening the empty chamber, slips the dart in and shuts it. Checks the miniscule power cell attached to the grip of the weapon. Full power.

The dart contains an extremely virulent poison named Neuro Syntox T-57. The poison created in the illegal labs of criminal biogenetists. There is no pain or local systematics when the poison is introduced to the body's bloodstream or lymphatic system. In a healthy adult's body there is instant shortness of breathe and slurred speach. Symptons common with drinking too many alcoholic drinks. A minute into the poisoning it begins to shut down the nervous system, creating paralysis and blindness. A minute and half is usually sufficient to lead to cardiac arrest and/or respiratory failure. It is a very nasty weapon.

Saul flicks up the barrel sight, hides the weapon at his side underneath his arm. Steps back out into the shadowy area circumventing most of the B&G until reaches a dimly lit table slightly to the left of Luke Skywalker's back. To his startled amazement, he finds a cizerack sitting with the Jedi.

OOC: *growls* do we need everyone and their brother in here? too many hunters will never get anything done.......

IC: Motssumi wandered into the B&G after hearing the transmission, her eyes narrowed though at the sight of so many other hunters.

(God, could they be anymore obvious?)

She thought to herself, she had of course changed out of her armor and into something more like a normal Cizerack would wear, something tight fitting and revealing. She had decided to let Taaj stay back at the hotel so he wouldn't mess up or draw attention to her agenda. The one good thing about being a Cizerack was the no need for any weapons, their claws and teeth were quite good enough.

Sauntering over to the bar, she took a seat nearby the mark, watching the others as well to make sure they weren't going to try anything. One thing other bounty hunters never seemed to learn was patience, one of them was bound to try and use some concealed weapon to get the hit in. She sighed briefly, working on getting the mark's trust first and getting him alone worked far better than those other methods.

OOC: That's what happens when a general bounty goes out. Deal with it.

IC:

Because of the many camofladged disguises she could take on, she knew none of the patrons in the bar would know who she was. To them, she was just another human, sitting alone at a table, peacefully sipping her drink.

Just like herself and the Cizerack at Skywalkers table, she knew there had to be others here within the bar who were hunters, just waiting for their chance to get their hands, paws, claws, or whatever on their quary.

She remained where she was, pretedning to read a news-story on her datapad, bringing a hand up to place a strand of her sandy-blonde hair behind her ear. She would continue to wait until her instincts told her it was time to move in on the Cizerack at Skywalker's table. Once the feline was eliminated, Skywalker would be hers.

Something wasn't right here. I could feel it..... I could sense it. There were more scum here than usual. I was at my normal table, but now I decided to get up, saunter over to the bar and prop myself up, my Rail Gun clear on my hip. While other weapos were confiscated, I was in charge of security here now. Thence, I carried.

Looks like I was going to be in need of it too.

With a secret handsignal, I called a heightened alert with the troops on patrol in here. Most dropped into quite blatant positions of alert, others who were disgusied melted into the crowd. The disgraced and covered Gargoyle was by my table, would be my skifter.

And yet when we had finished repairs from the last fight too.

Saul remained where he was seated with the slimline dart projector gun hidden from all eyes. Damn cizeracks. He was pretty sure felinoid was a hunter or just a bagger wanting a piece of the bounty. It was amusing to occassionally glance at the bar and witness Luke's predicament as the wolves encircled him. Saul wondered if Luke was a aware of how close his pursuers had closed in. He certainly was oblivious to the present bounty as it was broadcast over very scrupulous and selective channels. Darth Vader wanted Luke's corpse brought before his feet. This is going to be challenging but far from impossible.

A Bounty for Skywalker? Bloody Frell, a big one too. This is goign to get every vulture down to Arcan IV in a snap.... but I cant be uncovering myself. Not now, not yet.

He sat back to think, wondering how he could deal with this situation, tossing a bullet in the air and catching it, thinking. Quite abrupty he had an idea

Yes.....

Up he got and changed. And then armed. Rail Guns, the first one made, Uz'is, Beretta, another couple of subbies. In the wardrobe was the long unused over coat to complete the transformation....

And he was ready. On came the eye shades.

Force Master Hunter, bounty hunter and kick asser was back.

He knew where Skywalker would eventually go. The Jedi's Bar and Grill, which would give Hunter a very, very critical advantage.

Hunter gave the trooper a look and handed over a id pass. The trooper raised an eyebrow, before snapping off a salute. "My apologies Sir. Welcome back"

"Thank you. Have a good day Trooper"

you didn't have to be a star ship scientist to know what was going on, the bar suddenly had gotten very busy, Luke was able to eyeball most of his oppostion, he didn't stay alive this long not to be able to smell bounty hunters a mile away, but even this group was a bit much for him to handle, no matter how strong in the force he was.

Luke looked at his newly acquired table mate, "Sure why not have a seat" Luke nonchalantly moved his hand to his belt and flipped a switch on his comm, sending a signal to the rogue command ship, it was a preprogrammed 7 word message "I've got a bad feeling about this.", he knew they would get the right message

Luke looked back at his table mate, "If you will excuse me I have some business to conduct." Luke got up from the table, he needed some manuevering room, just in case. He made his way towards the counter and talked to the barkeep.

Luke: say, is there a back way out of this place.

Motssumi's ear went up as the mark got up but she knew better than to make a move just yet, he could always be followed. Honestly the best thing he could do was stay here, but like any normal prey his instincts got the better of him. But then again she could always mess him up a little, raising her hand to get the bartender with Luke's attention, the barkeep then moved to help her since she was a paying customer and nothing required him to answer Luke.

(She was just getting comfortable and read to entangle him when he got up. Beneath her breath, Jaah cursed in her native language. She shifted on her seat to look over to the bar. It was then that she noticed a fellow Cizerack of hers - another one trying to push up on her target.

It was unusual fo the Pride to allow two hunters out on one shot, she thought. They probably sent the other one out first then realised Jaaheessaa was much better for the job. Yes. That was it.

No matter though. Luke's getting up had only put him into a more difficult situation. Once he was out of the bar, he'd have the guns of the world pointed at him with hundreds itchy trigger fingers waiting to fire.)

The Bounty Hunter looked up as Skywalker moved away from his table, leaving the Cizerack there. Her lips flat-lined. He knew. He knew he was being hunted. Well, she couldn't blame him for knowing. The place had gotten unusually busy for this time of day. It was basically screaming trouble.

From her vantage point she was able to make out Skywalkers lips as he asked the bartender if there was a back way out. That was her cue to leave.

Standing casually, she replaced her data pad back into her sack, and headed out the door. In an alley to the left of the bar, she had stowed her arsenal of many toys to capture beings who had befallen the misfortune of becoming her prey. Dawning on the weapons and leaving no trace of her having been there, she found a ladder that accessed the roof of the building. Luckily the building wasn't tall at all, and it had enough ledges and balconies to climb and swing from.

Camoflaging herself completely, utilizing her cameleon-like skin, she set to work, placing a small camera unit to look down on the entrance to the bar. It would inform her is Skywalker decided to use the usual door, instead of his backyard escape. She herself went and stationed herself to look down at the back exit, kneeling there and waiting. She was not in too much of a hurry to capture Skywalker, and if another hunter caught him, they would just make her job all the more easy.

Settling in, she waited patiently.

Luke's sudden movement to the bar after just being joined by the cizerack was easily read. He knows we are here and he is looking for a clear way out of the establishment. To remove citizens from harm's way and gain advantage of the city's constant security patrols.

Saul sighs as he witnesses a cizerack and a woman mobilize. Time for a quick resolution. Swiftly ejecting the dart near his feet and grinding it underfoot. An costly lost asset, that synthetic toxin does not come cheap but there is no other choice right now. The presence of uniformed security and security disguised as civies had already been visually detected. Leaning forward over the darkened span of the table, Saul ditches the dart projector gun by placing it underneath the table's top by a small magnet attached to it's receiver. Perfectly designed weapon for covert operations and fairly inexpensive to replace.

Make or break! Saul rises out of his seat and strolls to the frontdoor, pondering, would Skywalker dare exit out to a dark alley with blind corners, where there is a definite chance of an insidous ambush. At the vault he relinquishes his two modified blasters from the guards and re-holsters them. Smiling, he wishes them fairwell and contemplates Luke's next move as he sits down on a bench across the street facing the Yoghurt's.

Saul melts into the shadows lining the street maintaining surveillence on the establishment while re-grouping. Allowing the acquisition to break visual contact was not very tactful but he felt the heat in Yoghurt's and he needed to recover his blasters too. These circumstances demand New Republican Special Forces involvement. Their weapon of choice is the railgun and I do not desire all my major internal organs dressing the interior of Yoghurt's neither I desire a forced hostage situation. A botched job would not look great on the resume. No body even knows I am operating here save perhaps... Lord Vader himself. TSO intelligence is powerful and far-reaching.

Remaining in the shadows, Saul peers down both alleys between the neighboring buildings and the B&G for any possible means of the acquisition fleeing unnoticed. Smirking, Saul concludes there is no negotiatable means of escape that would not lead to the alley beyond or the street in front. Time will tell.

A timely arrival. The white duraplast gauntlet gleams as Novi Paran taps the keys on his datapad, initiating a lock on Yoghurt's B&G surveillance network and kicking in a slicer's sleeper program designed to bypass any security encryptions and negate system integrity. Pushing one final button, Novi's monitor begins flashing 70,000 digits per a second to match authorized access codes and open the network.

Several minutes later, he gains access and the sleeper comes alive shutting program alarms and bisecting a surveillance monitor's feedback. Immediately intercepting the live feed to Novi's datapad. A monitor's image freezes dead in the B&G security room, undetected Novi gains control of a single camera which he pans over the room seeking that familiar face.

Eventually scanning the bar over, he locates the Jedi Master, zooming in as Luke is speaking to the bartender, the jedi is inquiring about a rear exit. Then what happens next is perplexing as a woman approaches Skywalker followed by silence accompanied with subtle lucid body and facial expressions. The Force!

Crouched near the ledge of the rooftop of a nearby abandoned building with hardware and weapons at hand, Novi was not concerned with a trace. The immediate observation would appear to be a system glitch leading to a report to the technician. Buying Novi more time. For good measure, he will plant a virus before he breaks contact.XXX

"He's clicked on...", Kal thought to himself as he sat by the bar. He shifted his weight slightly, causing the bottom of his trenchcoat to sway a few inches off the ground. He looked over to Luke as he spoke with the bartender. Kal was hopeless at lip-reading, but he could tell it was something to do with a precaution of sorts. And then, the bar-steward rudely walks away without even giving an answer! Kal went to take a swig of his drink. but he stopped just before his lips met the glass. Kal didn't order a drink! That was a close one. He discarded the glass by sliding it away from him, then pushed his stool out slightly as Skywalker walked towards the 'freshers. he disappeared behind a door, and Kal stood. He turned to face the rest of the bar, leaning backwards asgainst the bar with his elbows supporting him.

Luke: Skywalker to Rogues, status report

Rogue Flight Leader: Wing Leaders are on standby, and the R.I.F Squad leaders are in position to cover your exit, if necessary.

One of the surveillance cameras positioned in a dark obscured corner of the B&G follows Luke as he departs the refresher, a barely-audible buzzing emitted from the camera's servomechanism as it turns. Not even a coruscant hawk-bat could detect it over the loud and raucous laughter and shouting filling the establishment.

As Luke reaches the door, Novi takes his eyes of the relayed feed on the datapad's screen and casually picks up a pair of macrobinoculars lying at hand. Looking through the viewing scopes, he presses the instrument's zoom control. The front door quickly fills the image display as he scans the surrounding area. A synthesized voice whispers:

As Luke reaches for the door a shimmering form appears before him, one that he had not seen in sometime...

Jediken: Luke, you must be very careful, trust no one. The way you proceed from here on out will determine how history unfolds, one mistake and the Jedi could become extinct, but if the choices you make are along the correct path the jedi will reign supreme in the galaxy, crime and injustice will vanish...

Keep your saber handy and trust your feelings and the force...

the form vanishes before Luke's eyes and the last thing he hears is: The future is in your hands and May the force be with you, Skywalker son of Anakin.........

The small surveilance droid stationed to look down to the entranced of the bar, sent a buzz to the comm attached to the Huntress' belt. It rattled noislessly until she shut it off, hurrying to the other egde of the buolding and retrieving the little droid.

Sure enough, there was Skywalker, walking out the front door and heading down the avenue that would take him to the hangar bays where Rogue Squadron was stationed.

She would have made her move, but the streets were too crowded in this area. She would shadow him from atop the roofs until he turned into a quieter area. Which, from her bird's eye view, showed her was only a few meters away, where the crowd was sparse.

Remaining camofladged, she went from roof top to roof top, following him.

Motssumi watched Luke head for the door and waited until he was out the door before getting up herself. Stopping for a moment to pick up her bag that contained her arsenal of weapons, she walked out. Once out, she went around the building and looked up. Upon seeing exactly what she needed, a fire-escape on the side of the building next to the bar, she lept up and landed on the lowest level of it. Moving in the silent tread of a cat, she scaled the rest of it until she reached the roof. Scanning briefly for the mark, she spotted and followed by jumping from rooftop. So intent was her watch on Luke, that she didn't notice Azure doing the same.

As the Bounty Hunter made her way across a rooftop, she spotted another, also shadowing Skywalker. A feline of sorts, probably those acursed Cizeracks. And not just any Cizerack by the looks of it. This one carried a large bag with a few pieces of arsenls sticking out. The weapons of a hunter.

Though the Huntress had a respect for other hunters, she despised competition. And this one would be a delay. but she had to keep moving to keep up with Skywalker. And the Cizerack wouldn't see her at all, still being camoflaged.

Well, there were several ways of outdoing the competition, and she already had a plan forming in her mind as she trailed her target.

From the survellience watch he created atop the abandoned building above the very street running in front of the B&G. He catches a figure running atop the roof down the street, he identifies a cizerack bearing what appears a canvas bag of weaponry. Another hunter he surmises. Scanning the street as Luke departs the front door, he eyes some suspect characters on the move. Could be hunters or Jedi.. or both. This is a typical modus operandi of the NRSF. Luke: well its a long story but I'll give you the highlights, I think you are going to be a bit surprised and shocked by some of this.

For the past several months I have been on a deep cover mission to the outer territories, I have been gathering intel on the smugglers guild, but things went south and I was discovered, they have since put a very large bounty on my head, so large that every bounty hunter in every known system has been hunting me down, not to mention the bounty that was already on my head with the remnants of the empire.

The leader of this specific cell of smugglers is a Hutt, I wasn't able to get close enough to figure out the relationship to jabba, but I am sure its a close relative, and now the force is doing cartwheels with warnings, I am going to need alot of help to get out of this one, R.I F. is placed strategically around this building they are covering all entrances and exits, we need to get to the basement and finalize the plans, is R2 ready to engage the energy fields around the building?

Novi observes Luke enter the building across the way, deciding that he would rather not have the cizerack hunter spot him lying in wait. Gathering his appropiate equipment and switches his armor commands to verbal interface. The Krail 1010 armor contains photo-reactive crystals that cause the wearer to blend into any surrounding with reflec plating that is undetectable by sensors.

The hunter stands unseen by all eyes, placing one foot on the ledge overlooking the street below. His helmet's left smoked-out eyeshield beeps to life with a read-out, eyeing the roof across the way, Novi locks on a square three-metre section posing the best strategic drop. A circular targeting crosshair appears, scanning the area before freezing, another beep is heard in his audible feed as the crosshairs transform into a small red dot. Small read-outs flash across the top, measuring and calibrating distance, height differential, and propulsion.

Novi issues another single command, the rockets on the slimline Arakyd whisper jetpack kick into life, the hunter clears the chasm between the buildings landing at the approximate targeted drop in a crouch. To any nearby ears nothing more than a small "breeze" blowing was heard. Rising, Novi levels his Ivex projector rifle in all directions, securing the perimeter before the building's shields are activated.

She stopped in her tracks to look at the building, a new stradegy forming in her mind. Chasing Skywalker from building to building and from planet to planet would task resources. But she knew of a weakness he had. One that she could use to her advantage. One that would force him to come to her.

Smiling, she walked to the edge of the building she was on, opposite the street from where Skywalker had disappeared, she climbed down the side of it into an alley. Hey!, Trust me, Luke said with just the hint of a smile.

On the outside he was beaming with confidence but on the inside he was just as scared as she was, but he wasn't going to let her know that, at least not openly, but Luke knew Leia could feel his emotions, sometimes even better than he. She knew that he had feelings for Navaria long before he did, but that was in the past, it seemed like centuries ago. Luke knew that he could not get serious with anyone, not again..too many have come and gone..because of him, to love Luke was like signing your death warrant, though Navaria was still alive and in perfect health, Luke knew that if he tried to rekindle that relationship, it would put her in terrible danger and he vowed never to let that happen with anyone again. Leia had grown accustomed to it, she had almost as many bounty's on her, put out by the empire..but everyone was more adament on bringing down the jedi that restored peace, that destroyed the empire.

Luke knew that someday there would be someone better than him, there is always someone a little better, a little faster..etc., but not today.

Luke went thru the preflight check list,

Primary Power Systems?.........check
Defense Screen?...................check
Weapons?............................check
Sensors?..............................check
Nav Computer?......................check

all systems on line and functioning. Luke pressed a red button on the counsel, then engaged the thrusters and the mighty ship rose off the ground, just enough for the landing gear to be raised and he started on his way through the tunnels.....elsewhere, back on the mainfloor of the building sat a computer screen on it was a series of numbers
<font color=red>5:00:00</font>
<font color=red>4:59:59</font>
<font color=red>4:59:58</font>
<font color=red>4:59:57</font>

{back on the ship}
"coming to the first turn", the ship continued towards the center of the planet then banked sharply to the port and started a steady climb back towards the surface, then another bank to starboard and then a long stretch of level flying....

Luke turned to Leia, "Time to Activate the Sensor Jammer, that'll keep anyone from detecting the ship as we make our way up to the surface, once we break free of that, then we will be fare game, its hard to fool the naked eye."

Luke started pressing some more buttons, "Probe 1 ready for deployment, signature downloaded."
as they came to a fork of two tunnels Luke pressed the trigger on the yoke and a small probe shot loose from the ship and headed down one of the tunnels..

"I have programmed that probe to emit this ships power signature, that should cover us for a little bit." Luke turned the ship down the other tunnel and set the autopilot with the plotted course of the tunnels.....

Novi hated to retreat after drawing so close to his acquisition. He was returning to his craft and planning a long range scan on the building using the IG-2000's sophisticated sensor array. When the hunter alerted by a roar of a craft in the distance too near for any of the city's Docks. Lifting his macrobinoculars, he witnessed the turbines of a large craft shooting into the sky.

Speaking through his helmet's com-link to his protocol droid, T7AX, aboard the IG-2000. Giving the droid the precise coordinates given by the GPA reading on his macrobinoculars.

<Sevenax, run a ALS sweep on any craft lifting off above the Solda District, then run a bioscan to alert me of the number of on-board lifeforms.>

The droid chimed, "Yes, sir."

Seconds later, "Sir, there is no craft launching within these coordinates. Sorry."

Novi curses under his breathe. When suddenly T7AX reports excitebly that there is a craft moving with incredible acceleration, it's destiny... offplanet into zero-g space.

<Track and run the typical scans. I want to know what type of craft it is and how many on-board lifeforms. Also, did you prep the ship for LAPU with jammers and tracking arrays properly set?>

T7AX responds, "The craft's sensor signature suggests a light freighter. But after doing a bio-scan, there was no living or carbon based lifeforms onboard. Also by analyzing the particle energy emissions suggests a fuel-drive rather than fusion-drive. However, I did detect an anomaly matching the required emmissions of a fusion-drive, sir."

Novi grinned, a fuel-driven decoy could only mean one thing, Luke was aboard that craft and is making a break for it. Using a probe to curtail pursuit.

<Have the dedicated-energy systems lock on that single anomaly and then have the navicomputers calculate the proper vectors. Ready for pick-up, Sevenax!>

"Yes, sir."

The distinct yellow t-visor seemed to float from the shadows, followed by an armored man armed with a menacing blaster. The twi'lek was transfixed by this spectre of the past standing before him. Nasta Kardu raised his soft, slender hands near his chin, ringing them nervously. The hunter stopped before the informant, cradling the blaster in the crook of his arm. Nasta lifted an eyebrow, leaning forward slightly, orange eyes pivoting side to side.

"Tamu chishi Jodo Kast!"
Greetings Jodo Kast

The dark visor of the hunter's helmet forbid the twi'lek to gain any perception or insight on the man beneath it. He was so accustomed to dealing with associates on a face to face basis, allowing him to read them by facial expressions and other physical cues. But the armored human before him now stood still with not so much as a twitch of a hand or a shift of a foot. It made the experience all the more claustophobic.

*You received my message over the com-link beforehand, Nasta. Were there any personal departures by any of the passengers of the corellian craft?*

"Rika lem kisha nom... jin koo Jedi da mar osa... hyru ochi nobayir."
Yes indeed there was one... a cloaked one like Jedi.... entered that cantina there.

The twi'lek twisted around and pointed a slender finger towards the entrance of the establishment situated about fifty metres away. Jodo Kast's helmet slowly pivots as he looks in the direction Nasta is motioning to. Alien and humanity alike continue to flow into the cantina to escape Tatooine's harsh suns and to wet dry lips with their favorite beverage. Very few are departing except an occassional drunken patron or two. The place served as a stopover for journeying pilots and a common meeting grounds for some of the worst villiany the galaxy ever knew. Jodo Kast nods.

*Excellent*

He fades back into the shadows without a further word. The hunter knew the information to Luke Skywalker's present locale lie in that darkened cantina alone. Jodo Kast had preparations to make.

The Huntress entered the bar near where Skywalker had landed, still disguised as a local. She didn't stop at the entrance, but walked straight up to the bar and asked for a namana juice. The bar keep chuckled and handed her the drink. She smiled.

What's so funny?

The bar keep, a fat Rodian, wiping down a glass, gestured with a rag in one hand in the general direction of a darkened booth.

Bar Keeper: We just don't get many patrons asking for namana juices, and you're the second in less than 10 minutes.

This caused an eyebrow to raise on the bounty hunters face. She done some research, and found that the Jedi's favorite drink to ask for was namana juice. And without so much an inquering as to whether there was a Jedi nearby, she had received her answer.

Well, it is quite refreshing, especially under the heat of those two suns!

She jabbed a thumb in the direction of the doorway, where the sun flitered in. This caused another chuckle to emerge from the bar keeps lips as he went about his business.

Now that she knew where the Jedi was, she made her way towards an adjoining booth, sitting down with her back to the Jedi. The Jedi would sense her presence, but not her mind, as it was blocked with her inherant ability to nullify the Force. She would merely disregard this as part of the species she was, and nothing more. But it gave the Huntress privacy to plan her next move.

Acting like anyone else in the bar, she sat silently, and occassionally looked up, sipping at her drink. At one point, when she looked up, she half turned to catch a glimpse of the glass in the Jedi's hand, and then turned fully.

With a surprised and happy expression on her face, she addressed the other woman.

By the Core! I thought I was the only one around these here parts that ever ordered a namana juice!

She held up her glass for emphasis as the Jedi turned to acknowledge her.

Took me forever to find the bars around here that actually selled the stuff!

::Leia turned around to face the person who decided to talk to her. Her hood was still concealing her face::

Why I can understand why. Afterall...these cantinas are known mostly for their liquors moreso the illegal kind.

::The Jedi Master did not wanted to be rude so she considered to talk to what appeared to be an average citzen::

Quite frankly...namana juice is one of my favorite drinks. I suppose you were not looking for a liquor drink either but something to quinch your thirst too.

::Leia casually asked a descret question. Very much in her typical Jedi manner...she wanted to know more about this stranger and why she chose to speak to her. Call it intuition or just a typical Jedi trait. She just needed to know..without revealing much of herself::

So..tell me friend. What brings you here?

The "typical citizen" was in the middle of a gulp full of sweet namana juice when the question was asked. She swallowed and gestured with her free hand towards the entrance, where the blazing suns could be seen filtered through the doors.

Most likely the same as you... escaping the dreadful heat of the mid-day suns. I've seen those two suns scourge a living being in mere seconds during the mid-day hours. Horrible way to go. Quite agonizing.

She took another gulp of her drink as though happenings like that were everyday occurances.

But, most creatures are smart enough to get in doors or into shaded areas when the suns beat their strength upon the sands. Hell, even the beasts of burden find shelter. Even those big smelly Rontos.

She was almost finished with her drink and noticed that the other woman was about to run on empty. She smiled politiely, lifting her glass.

I'm gonna go get me a refill. You want some more?

::Fiddling with her glass some, as she traced her finger around the rim. Leia looked on to the stranger. There was something about her, yet she could not put her finger on it. The Jedi decided to disregard her feelings for now as she answered the citizen::

So true this climate can kill a Ronto or any creature for that matter quickly if one is not careful. As far as a drink...

::Leia looked down at her glass and took one more sip::

I suppose one more would not hurt before I leave and brave the outdoors once again.

::The Jedi Master motioned for a service droid as she pulled out a credit chit::

Tell you what..the drink is on me.

The Huntress smiled, showing the Jedi gratitude.

Why, thank you kindly! It's not often you hear someone buying another a drink... unless they're doing some sort of business.

She set her glass on the server droid's tray and watched it wheel off to fill out the order. She chuckled, addressing the other woman.

You're not from around these here parts, are ya? You look too... clean.

She chuckled again.

I suppose that'd be the word, for lack of a better one.

::The Jedi Master raised an eyebrow at the citizen at her comment. Taking a sip from her second glass of juice, Leia placed it gently down on the table before making eye contact with the woman::

No I am not from this planet. You can say I am a traveller to these parts.

I find it sort of funny you used the word "clean" to discribe my appearance. It seems like an odd choice of word. But nevertheless, you are correct I am not from here. But enough about me.

::The Jedi decided to turn the conversation away from her::

I gather you are a local. Have you lived here all your life? If you don't mind me asking?

::Leia brought her glass up to her lips to take another sip, before gently sitting it back on the table once again::

The woman looked at the Jedi, cocking her head slightly.

Nah, I haven't been here long myself. Only a few seasons. Crops have been low as of late. It's all most farmers can do to keep from starving.

It's sad how some have even gotten mixed up with the Hutts to better their profits.

She shook her head.

It's just not an honest way of living.

She noticed the mention of Hutts seemed to click something in the Jedi's mind, and she took on a far off look, remembering a past long gone.

The Huntress took this opportunity to turn slightly to pick her drink up from the table behind her. As she turned, her right hand and the drink were hidden momentarily from the Jedi's sight. But that was all the time she needed. With a slight of her hand, she was able to dislocate a pouch hidden inside her sleeve and dump it into the drink. The pouch and it's contents instantly disolved, mixing with the drink. She brought it around, not having drunk any of it yet, to face the woman opposite her, and quickly place her drink near the center next to the Jedi's, making it look like it belonged to the other woman. Then she quickly picked up the "clean" drink and held it as if she were going to sip it, but then paused.

Personally, I'd rather not deal with the Hutts unless I know I'd come out of it alive. But chances of that happening are pretty slim. So, I steer clear of the bulbous slugs.

She was tactful in her response, keeping the conversation light, and not letting on to what she had done. Soon she would have what she wanted.

::The mention of the Hutts truly distracted Leia for a moment. She experience a slight flashback, a truly gruesome scene to say the least. Catching herself momentarily..she snapped out of it::

Sorry, I was just thinking for a moment. Nothing important.

::The Jedi Master fluffed off her feelings quickly, she did not want to start a conversation of her past. Most certainly none involving the Hutts. Playing somewhat dumb::

Well, I can't say I blame you from wanting to stay clear of the Hutts. I hear the Hutts are quite the tyrants and monopolize a lot of this planet. They are as crooked as they come.

::The Jedi Master was getting ready to take another sip of her drink. When she stopped for a moment::

Hmmm...I honestly thought I drank a little more of this juice than it appears. Guess I am wrong, must be me just being preoccupied again.

::Leia raised the glass to her lips and let the sweet juice trickle down her throat::

Funny...I dunno why, but I have a feeling I know you yet, I can't place my finger on it.

::Seemed like an odd question for the Jedi to mention now. But it did cross her mind. ::

::Suddenly...The Jedi Master started to feel very tired and she began to give off a slight yawn. Covering her mouth trying not to be rude::

Now that's strange. All of a sudden I feel tired. I guess these crazy heat is finally getting to me.

The Jedi was getting drowsy. The "citizen" waved her hand slightly.

Eh, it's probably a mild case of heat stroke. Maybe just dehydration. If you're not used to the every day heat here, it happens. Seen it happen to new arrivals, but they usually get used to it by the second or third day.

The other woman was really starting to nod off now as the sleep-inducing powder began to seep into her blood stream.

Er, why don't I take you to a hotel or some place where you can rest.

Her vision and thought process would be compromised by now, the powder acting quickly.

Or we could go to my place and then you wouldn't have to pay rent...

::Things were getting quite blurry for the Jedi, as she was getting dizzier by each and every passing moment. Leia brushed away some drops of perspiration that began to form on her brow. She was definetly not feeling well all of a sudden. ::

::With a slight slurr in her words, she tried to answer the citizen::

I...I...jusssst don't understand, what has....*sigh* come over me. I suddenly feel the need for sleep.

I...think..I..mean...I suppose you are right. I need to lay down for a lil bit...its..its...probably for the best. Even just for a lil bit.

::The Jedi Master felt her body begin to sway some from the dizzy spell she was experiencing. She felt so very weak and decided to lay her head down on the table for a moment..on top of her crossed arms::

Just...ummm...just let me rest here a moment ok?!

::Were the last words she uttered before laying her head down...as she fell into unconsciousness::

There was no way the Jedi was going to argue any at this point.

Sure thing. Just rest a bit. I'm sure whatever's ailing you will pass in no time.

As the Bounty Hunter spoke, she stood, sliding the glass with the remainder of the drugged drink aside, and easily hoisted the petite woman so that she was being supported by her arm. To keep her Jedi healing process from taking effect, the Huntress expanded her Force-inhibiting bubble to encompass the unconcious woman. Then, with little effort, she half dragged the Jedi out of the bar.

Before stepping into the sun, she concealed her face and that of the Jedi's with their respective clothing, and made her way to the hangar bay where her ship was. She encountered no resistence on the way to her ship, and once inside, placed the Jedi within the Force cage in her ship. The cage would keep the Jedi from using her powers. From her computer gauntlet, she set the small droids inside their alcoves to watch the cage, but not to make a move. Only to observe.

Once that was completed, she made her way to the cockpit and powered up her ship. In moments they were airborn and flying through the planet's atmosphere and into deep space. Once the ship had cleared the planet's gravity well, it disappeared into hyperspace (http://www.swforums.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=298547#post298547).
