The New Crono Katon

[Crono katon]

The door to the bar slowly squeaks open and a bandaged Crono walks through the door. Hes holding axe in one hand a bright yellow Rubber Chicken that he keeps putting up to his face and whispers to, just quite enough for no one else to hear.

The bouncer stops him at the door for his axe and all the weapons he has in the gray torn trench coat. But all he does is whisper to the rubber chicken and walks bye.

He walks over to the table in the darkest corner and sits down with the chicken on the table at the other side. For the first time he speaks loud enough for the people around him can hear.

Looking straight at the Chicken he says
"Chimp DO....y.o.u WANT....DRINK?" in a scratchy unbalanced tone.
He sets there carrying on a conversation with the rubber chicken. As he pushing his bandaged up hand though the patches of hair.

As the waiter comes around he reaches out his hand and stops it to order two drinks. As the bot walks away Crono looked around for his old freinds or even maybe new ones.

Estelle had seen the man walk in... I mean, how could you miss him with..was that a fake chicken...?

He was mumbling away as he took his seat, and the young Jedi looked at him a little worried. Perhaps he was hurt...a bump to the head perhaps...She got up from her seat and crossed over to his table.

"Hello, my name is Estelle. Are you..um..(the rubber chicken was a distraction most certainly)....from around here?"

[Crono katon]

Crono quickly reach over and grabbed Chimp from of the table and shoved it into his coat. After staring Estelle down for a minute he replyed to her question.

"YES I'M...from.around here...YOU?"

[Estelle Russard]

She frowned a little, not sure what to make of this man. He was kind of abrupt and his stare made her uncomfortable. She looked away briefly.

"Im from around here too, well since recently anyway. I havent seen you here before, have you been away?"

[Crono katon]

Rubs his face in panic. As Crono watches Estelle he kind of picks up a vibe that he is making her uncomfortable by staring at her for long periods of time. So starts staring straight down at the table.

"I've BEEN...about a month. Do..you WANT..to join me"

Reachs into his coat to make sure Chimp was still there.

[Estelle Russard]

Estelle watched the mans body language. He was very...edgy. She smiled kindly, hoping to put him at ease.

"Yes, thankyou, that would be nice."

She pulled out a seat and took her place at the table across form him.

"What are you drinking tonight?"

[Crono katon]

Crono looked up just long enough to see Estelle smile toward him. Then jerked his head back to where he was looking at before.

"Me and Chimp was JUST going to have waters BUT if y..o..o..u want some thing just ask"

As he speaks he tries his best to speak in one unchanging tone, Which work a little bit but some spots were still badly pronounced.

"I usually drink orange juice"

She called after the server droid and he obediently went to get her drink. As an afterthought she ordered a grilled cheese sandwich too.

"Are you hungry?"

Estelle was curious about this person. He certainly had a distinctive personality. She stil was concerned about him, and did not want to pry.

Trying very carefully, she extended her force sense to try to pick up on something, anything about him with out seeming intrusive.

[Crono katon]

"NO..I'm not HUNGRY"
Crono reaches into his coat and pulls out Chimp to ask him if he wanted food.

He sensed Estelle trying to read him with the force. Ever sense what happened to him he had the ability to sense and block out just about all mind reading.

A smile appears on his face

"So..what IS..it you want TO..know about me, just ASK. Know need...FOR any thing like THAT"

The color rushed into Estelles cheeks. She hadnt been anywhere near discreet enough.

"I...I dont meant to pry"

She looked about trying to find the right wording and the droid placed her drink down in front of her.

"I just...I want to make sure you are ok? Do you need any help?"

[Crono katon]

smiles and pulls off his coat. It drops to the floor like a lead wait.

"NO..Just Peachy"

unwraps his hands to show the scares from being cut and burnt.

"Unless..u..KNOW a good...PLASTIC surgeon"
laughs

[Estelle Russard]

She just shook her head "no" and not finding any humor in the scars on his hand.

"Who did that to you?"

[Crono katon]

"It DON'T..really MATTER.Besides...the TRUTH..is I don't..KNOW my self"

Sinks down into his seat as he readjusts the bandage on his face so the scares don't show.

His eye's shut and in a kind of dark tone he says
"They wont come back again"

She wasnt sure what he meant...but by the tone of his voice, it seemed he somehow had gotten his own form of justice on those who had hurt him.

Her food arrived and she took a bite from the sandwich. It was good, simple. Reminded her of her home.

"Did I ask you your name?"

[Crono katon]

Takes a long drink of his water before he answers.

"oh...I forgot TO..tell YOu..Its Crono Katon"

Pulls Chimp out of his pocket

"This Is..Chimp...MY Friend. HE says...HELLO"

Lays Chimp down on the table by the cup of water he ordered for him.

*Looks at Chimp and then back at Crono*

"Its nice to meet you Crono..."

She doesnt really know what to say about Chimp, so says nothing, though she is curious about him.

"Are you staying here at the GJO living quarters?"

[Crono katon]

Looks down at Chimp like hes listening to him, then nicely says
"I'm...SURE...she meant TO...say hi. So...don't WEARY..about it she...like you" As he talks some of his words blend to gather

Looks over at Estelle
"I just..STAY where I..CAN."

ooc: help me! is "chimp" the chicken and if not, is it alive?? lol <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Estelle laughed a little, more from being embarresed than with humor, this Crono was an unusual fellow, that is for sure.

"Im sorry," she touched Chimp lightly on the head. "um..Hello"

She turned serious again and looked over Katons appearance, wondering if he had somewhere to stay now.

"Have you family here on Arcan IV?"

ooc--Yeah Chimp is the chicken. No Chimp isn't alive but Crone hears voices, so he thinks one of them is coming from the rubber chicken.Its kind of hard to explain.

IC-- Even though his memory was faded and some times it was just hard to do any thing for some reason he could always remeber his sister and how he had watch over her.

"Well....I HAVE.....A SISTER..name Keshia Kou...but sHEs not always here"

"Keshia Kou...I have heard her name, but dont think I have met her. I still am getting to know people here myself."

"Yeah...SHES not...HERE much All ways...of GETTING.. into...trouble. YOu..have..any family?"

She thought of her family back home on Tr' Nuva and shook her head "no"...but then she thought of Loki....

"Well, I sortof have a younger brother...Loki...we arent really related, but we have kind of adopted each other" she smiled. She was very fond of Loki and she wondered absently that it was odd she hadnt seen him around for a while.

[Crono katon]

"Sounds..nice"
takes a drink
"so WHAT do YOu do for a LIVING anyways Estelle?"

The question surprised her...She actually didnt do anything for a living.

The past few months had been spent in a crash-course education of the more suspect elements of the galaxy with one bounty hunter, Aurelias Kazaar. From certain adventures the two had survived, she had made a tidy amount of credits, but now that Crono mentioned it..she realised they wouldnt last all that long.

"Um...I dont really do anything at the moment"

she shrugged and laughed a little nervously, "guess you could say...Im in between jobs.

What about you?"

[Crono katon]

tries to control the pitch of his voice as he says

"Me? WELL....at the moment I don't have a line of work but I'm thinking of becoming a Sith or go back to being a Bounty Hunter..like I was before"

"I'm not really sure yet"

[Estelle Russard]

She didnt hear much more than the word "Sith"...and Crono looked up at her sharp intake of breath. Estelle's mouth opened and closed, but she didnt say a word.

It was incomprehendable to her that someone would want to become such a creature as a Sith....no matter what they had experienced.

She blinked at "chimp" but didnt really see him, it was just a stalling maneuver to collect her thoughts enough not to jump to her feet in astonishment.

Instead, she tried as calmly as possible..."Why..a Sith - of all things?"

Smiles at how she acted. Just because he could tell she had some thing that she believed in, witched impressed him alot.

"I'm not going to join to kill or anything like that but its just a limited amount of time before I just snap. The wait is to long and painful, I just can't take the pain of helping people till I snap and have them hate me afterwards. I rather them hate me now...so its not so much of a blow to my life. I'm not planing of kill anyone if it can be helped..."

Puses a moment before talking again

"I'm probably just going to go back to being a Bounty Hunter any ways"

Takes a drink of his water as he prays she don't leave

She listened carefully as Crono spoke, reading in his face the sincerety of what he said. She noticed he was not speaking in the erratic manner of earlier and it made her wonder, not for the first time, what he had experienced that had brought him to his present state.

She took a bite of her sandwich and took her time to reply. Lifting her brown eyes to his, she said candidly.

"I think, sometimes, we arent in control of the things that happen to us or the fate we find ourselves delt. And I do also believe that we cant control the person that we are...the person we are deep down. Our actions we control, but not the soul of us..."

She touched his hand lightly to emphasize her point.

"I dont believe you are or could be a Sith, a wanton killer, any more than me..And there are worse things than Bounty Hunters (she grinned now) - some of my best friends are bounty hunters."

[crono katon]

Slowly Crono pulled his hand back from Estelle and placing it into his pocket. Stairing straight at her like he was earlier, he muders

"I..DON"T really....see MY self...as I....Sith any ways"

As he kind of smiles he grabs Chimp again and throws him in his pocket.

"I like..being A.. Bounty HUNTER, most OF..the time. Were..not ...BAD people anyways"

She dropped her hand into her lap - hoping she hadnt been to forward. It was just how she was brought up she guessed...contact was just a part of who she was, though she had to remember, not everyone appreciated a friendly gesture.

She notices the smile, and the return of the odd stuttered speech.

"When did you meet...um how did you and Chimp...." she was having trouble phrasing the question right..."where does Chimp come from?"

[crono katon]

Thinking to his self how strange Estellee question was he slowly reply

"Well...I guess I FOUND...him ON...the street....YELLING... for help..But I never really...ASKED...where he came from"

He reaches down to his cup to take a drink when he see it was emtpy. He reaches out to call the drone over as he remembers some thing else.

"It was...RIGHT after the...thing happened"
