Name: Ekim Coril
M/F: Male
Age: 13
Species: Human
Height: 1.6 meters
Hair Color: Blonde
Eye Color: Green
Affiliation: Light
Occupation: Awaiting a Master to take him as a Padawan.
Personality: Ekim is usually light hearted and kind. He rarely lets his anger get the best of him, but occasionally he can lose his patience and has gotten into a few fights; however, he has never been the one to initiate the fight. He has a large sense of humor and makes friends easily. When faced with a serious challenge, all of his humor disappears, it is replaced by a unwavering fearlessness. He is scared of very little and is not afraid to do most things. He is however, somewhat reckless and has been known to rush into a situation without thinking.
Background: Ekim was born on Melida/Daan, a planet that was torn by a bloody civil war. The two warring peoples, the Melida and the Daan, couldn’t even agree on a name for their planet. The Melida called it Melida, and the Daan called it Daan. In a compromise, it was decided that they would use both names. The war had been raging for almost thirty years when Ekim was born. By the age of five, Ekim had run away and moved underground. He lived with the Young, a group of child rebels who were against the war. At his young age, he could not actively partake in this rebellion, but he stayed underground rather then live in a world torn by prejudice. When Ekim was twelve, two Jedi were sent to Melida/Daan as keepers of the peace. They were too help negotiate an end to the war. However, neither the Melida nor the Daan were willing to cooperate. The mission was deemed a failure, and the two Jedi were called back to the Jedi temple on Coruscant. Before their ship had taken off, the elders attacked one of the Young’s hideouts. This was the very place Ekim was hiding. He and several others fled the area and ran towards the desert, where they saw the Jedi ship. One of the older members of the Young told Ekim to hide on the ship, to get off of this planet. Ekim ran to the ship and stowed away in the cargo area. Moments later the group he had ran off with was caught and killed. The Jedi took off, not noticing the boy that was hidden in their ship. Not long after take off however, they sensed another presence on the ship. They entered the cargo bay and found Ekim. He pleaded with them not to take him home, and they eventually complied, feeling that they could find the boy a home somewhere. But as their voyage continued, they began to realize that the Force was very strong in Ekim. They took him to the temple and left him there to find a master to train him.
