Darkness pervades...(Closed)

[Satine Capashen]

Satine's room was much like any other Jedi's room aside form his walls being covered in bladed weapons, and blasters and sabres. He had a bed and others. On his desk was a few pictures. One was of himself and three other young people--the original Young Ones--and others were of him and Shay Kaylon, Iyza Myst, Graem Snowbringer, and others.

But now the room was filled in darkness, a choking sensation through the Force. It originated with a fallen Chaos Talisman on the floor. The Talisman, a tool used by Sorsha and others, was an extremely powerful Sith artifact, that Satine kept for some reason. right beside it was plans for a sabre called "Heart of Darkness"--Satine's triple-phased lightsabre from the Sith--and an empty case for the sabre hilt.

The room looked like it had been left in a hurry--most things shoved into place, and clothes scattered on the ground...

[Xazor]

Xazor was on her way to her room. She turned down the hallway where it was located and suddenly felt a darkness. She walked past several doors until she reached the one that it was coming from. Alpha.... She thought to herself. It was his room for sure, so she gently knocked on the door. No answer came, so she pushed it open. No one was there........but it looked a mess. She looked around her, and then entered, closing the door behind her. What she saw almost took her breath away........a Chaos Talisman laying right in the middle of his floor. Why in the world...... Her thoughts were interrupted by another object laying next to it. The words "Heart of Darkness" were written on the directions for a triple phased saber. A case for the hilt layed near by. She crouched to the floor and lifted some of the objects to study them closer. She couldn't believe that he had these things, especially after the promise they had made to one another. He had fallen.........she could feel it, somehow. It was almost unbelievable. She took the Chaos Talisman in her hands and walked over to a chair in the living area of his room and sat down. Studying it for a moment, she shook her head. She would stay and wait until he returned. She brought her hood over her head and shadows were cast upon her to hide her identity. She clothed herself in the shadows as she held the Talisman...........waiting for her brother in silence.........

Sidar was walking over to Satine's quarters when he felt a distinct darkness from it. Unholstering his blaster, the blue Metathran opens the door slowly, and rakes the blaster back and forth, looking ofr the source of the darkness...

[Xazor]

Shocked by the sight of a man with a blaster, Xazor rises from her seat. With the Chaos Talisman in her hands, she cautiously walks over to him.

My name is Xazor. Please don't shoot me.....

She had her hand on her lightsaber just in case. Feeling out his aura, she decided that he would not harm her. Taking her hand off of her saber, she smiled gently and spoke again.

I am Alpha's sister.........through the Force. I felt a darkness emitting from his room and decided I would check on him. When I didn't see him, I came in...........and found this.

She said, holding out the Chaos Talisman for him to examin. He did not look pleased with the artifact....and he did not say anything to her for a few moments.

[Satine Capashen]

Sidar glares at the talisman--obviously the source of the darkness--and asks, "Do you have any idea why he has this?"

After getting over his initial shock of finding Satine had a sister, and seeing that damned talisman, Sidar's brain began working again. Seeing Xazor shake her head, he goes on.

"That is the Chaos Talisman that Sorsha Kasajian gave him during his short time with the Sith Empire the sedond time. See, Sorsha manipulated him, causing him to turn to the Dark Side, and he kept this around as a reminder of what happened. They are rumored to be able to connect the Mastre--even if Satine denounced her--and the pupil. He also kept the plans--and the sabre itself--for the Heart of Darkness--" Sidar points at the directions and the empty case on the floor. "--to remind him of what he had become, and his promise of not becoming that again. I can't believe Satine turned...Not again...Not after all the personal Hells he had gone through crawling back up the last time..."

[Xazor]

Xazor shook her head, unbelieving.

I can't believe he did either...........not after the promise we had made to each other. It wasn't supposed to be this way!

She felt guilty and angry all at the same time. Drawing the Force into her soul, she calmed down again.

I know what power this has........I too was once a Sith......

She said as she looked down at the Chaos Talisman in her hands, and then down to the floor shamefully. Glancing slightly at the plans and empty case, she felt a tear fall from her eye. Wiping it away with her free hand, she turned back to the man.

I was going to wait for him so I could give him a piece of my mind........but you found me first.

She said quietly. All of this seemed so unreal..........she couldn't believe that it was happening.......not now. It wasn't supposed to happen ever..........

All I know is that he broke his promise.......

She spoke softly and looked down at the floor again.

[Satine Capashen]

"Don't be so sure. When Sorsha is involved, nothing is as it seems..."

[Xazor]

Xazor nodded and began to pace about the room.

I feel a disturbance. A great one at that..........something about this is just not right. I think there is more to this sudden change than we think. I must investigate and find out.......I cannot do it alone, so I humbly ask for your help.

She said as she stopped before the man again.

[Satine Capashen]

"Sure. Satine is my friend and commanding officer. I should help too."

Saying this, Sidar takes a broadsword from Satine's wall, and smiles, putting it on his back.

[Xazor]

She smiled at his willingness to help her.

I cannot let the darkness take my brother........

She with pleading eyes. She reached under robes to the holster on her thigh and took out her blaster. She held it in her left, and then checked her back for her sword. It was there, so she glanced down at her saber. It hung from her belt along with a new set of throwing knives.

I am ready.........but where shall we start?

She asked quickly.

[Satine Capashen]

"We should start in Arcan City. He might've gone there first." Sidar says as he grabs other weapons from Satine's walls. He takes two blaster pistols, a mini-cannon rifle, and one of Satine's black-bladed sabres, and one of his white-bladed sabres.

[Xazor]

She nods and smiles. Then, she remembers another weapon she possess. She reaches beneath her robes once more and grabs the handle of a dagger, strapped behind her blaster on her holster. She pulls it out, careful not to touch the blade. It was a Sith dagger that she had taken from Dalethria. She smiled and put the dangerously powerful weapon back in the holster. Then she spoke.

That is a good idea. I am not going to leave this here, though.......

She said, glancing down at the Chaos Talisman. She opened a pouch on her weapons belt and carefully placed it inside. She then walked over to the directions and empty case. She clipped the case to her belt, and folded the directions neatly. She placed them in a very small pouch on the back of her belt and then walked back over to the man.

We should leave now.........we have not got all day.........

She said and stepped past him out into the hallway.

[Satine Capashen]

"Alright. LEt's go."

Sidar leads Xazor through the mzae of passageways--obviously knowing his way around--and then stops as the door guard stops the pair.

"I'm Sidar Kondo, commander of Dragon Fleet, and this is Xazor, Jedi Padawan. We have important business, so step aside." He says before the guard can open his mouth. Nevertheless, the guard steps aside, and Sidar motions for Xazor to follow as they enter the main portion of Arcan City.

[Xazor]

She smiled as she stepped into the main of Arcan City. It brought back many memories to her of her short days on Coruscant. She smiled as the sun warmed her skin.

It is a big city.......but if we use the Force it shall not take long to locate him.

She said confidently. She was ready to take out her blaster at the sight of some of the odd creatures, but refrained for it would not get her very far.

[Satine Capashen]

"Uhm....Well..." Sidar says, obviously embarrassed.

"I can't really use the Force that well. I only got a few lessons from a traveling JEdi Knight and then I joined the Dragon Fleet..."

[Xazor]

She smiled and turned to face him.

That is alright........we'll just rely on me then.

She said calmly. It was no problem for her, she was so in tune with the Force, they would find Alpha.......if he was indeed in the city.

[Satine Capashen]

"Ok. Oh, what will we do once we find him?"

[Xazor]

She squinted her eyes as she thought. She knew in her heart that she was upset with Alpha......but she could not let that get in the way.

We shall do nothing.............but I shall give him a piece of my mind............

She growled slightly. Looking around, she quickly started walking again. She held her hand firmly on her lightsaber and kept keen perception all around her. She suddenly picked up on his aura.............he was off somewhere toward the middle of the city. She quickened her pace, hoping that Sidar would keep up with her as she made her way through the bustling streets of Arcan City.

[Satine Capashen]

Sidar hefts his mini-cannon and smiles winningly at Xazor.

"Then let's bag ourselves a teen Jedi."

{OOC:Oh, btw, he is actually on Meras. We can have it so we catch him just lifting off in his fighter if that's ok with you.}

[Xazor]

She smiled and darted down several side streets. Making her way up a busy market street, she looked around at the many merchants and shopkeepers. They rounded the corner and came out to a busy intersection. She stopped for a moment and looked back to Sidar.

Let's catch a speeder........I think people will find it odd to see us running through the city on foot.

She raised her arm in the air, and a speeder screeched to a halt in front of them. The pair hopped in the back and Xazor handed the driver a few credits.

To the center of the City, and hurry!

She said to him in a short breath.

[Satine Capashen]

Sidar smiles, and checks the power packs on his weapons, and then looks at Xazor as the cab stops. He points at a large black fighter sitting there, and jumps out, aiming his cannon.

"Satine! Stop!" he yells, the young one stopping his climb to the cockpit as he hears Sidar's voice.

Alpha grins maniaclly and then raises a hand, a burst of flames coming from it, and heading to Sidar...

[Xazor]

NO! BROTHER!

She cries out and hops from the speeder. She quickly tears her lightsaber away from her belt and ignites it. Using the Force abilities in elements that she possessed, she called on water from the Force. She created a ball of water in her left hand and shot it toward the fire, extinguishing it immediatly. She then runs, lightsaber in hand, toward Alpha. She begins to climb up the long ladder, and then stops when he looks down at her. His eyes were not of himself.......the love they usually showed had been drowned by a darkness that she herself had once known. She shook her head, unbelieving, as a tear fell from her eye. She held out her hand to him and softly spoke the promise that had been broken.

We are strong in the light. We shall rise in victory against the darkness, for we are united in the Force. We shall never let the other fall...............

[Satine Capashen]

"Wrong one Xazor. The name's Alpha." Dark Alpha says, using the Force to call down a bolt of lightning which slams into Xazor hard, and then burns her with a quick fireball.

The Sith's voice was cold, hard, and showing nothing but hatred in its tone.

"My only family now is the rest of my Chaos brethren. Sorsha, Dalethria, and others." Dark Alpha says, jumping into the cockpit, and closing it.

As Alpha takes off, Xazor hears a voice--incredibly weak--cry out in her head. It was Satine's voice.

Sister! Help! It said, the call fading to nothingness.

[Xazor]

She winced in pain from the fire and sent cooling effects through her body with the help of the Force. She then heard Satine's voice.......off somewhere distant in her head. She began to cry as she stretched out her hand skyward.

Brother! Don't leave me..........

She cried out to him as the cockpit closed. She turned her hand into a fist and brought it back down to her face and cried harder. She blamed herself in her mind for everything that had happened.

Sidar looks at Xazor oddly.
"XAzor, what is it?"

[Xazor]

Hearing his words, Xazor quickly wiped the tears from her eyes and regained her composure. She jumped down from the ladder and disengaged her saber, clipping it back to her weapons belt. She glanced up at the figure in the cockpit and gritted her teeth as she turned away. She walked up to Sidar and shook her head.

It isn't him.......

She said and then noticed the confused expression on his face. She continued to explain.

Alpha is in there somewhere............but I have a feeling that someone put some kind of curse on him and made it appear as though he is Sith once more..............when I find whoever did this..........

She growled the last words and her hands became fists at her sides.

[Satine Capashen]

"I'm no Jedi, but I know the dangers of anger...Satine has had to've warned you beofre about it..."

[Xazor]

Xazor nodded and put the thought in the back of her mind........not completely gone, which was a mistake in itself.

Fine, you're right......................but when I find them oh they had better watch out because I'll take out my li.........

Her rant was suddenly haulted by words Alpha and she had spoken to each other...............words of a promise she had just repeated to the one she so deeply cares for. She stopped dead in her words and thoughts and forgot them all.

We have to take my ship and follow him.

She resolved. She saw the confused look on Sidar's face and forced a smile.

Don't worry about me........I will fight my own battles.

She said through the Force. She knew he could hear her........

[Satine Capashen]

Sidar nods, and then holds up a hand to stop Xazor from running ahead of him.

"First off, do you even have any clue as to where our young friend is going?" Sidar asks, waiting a few seconds for an answer. "I didn't think so. The best probable place I can think of is Meras. Home of the Mal-Pannis clan, and Sorsha too."

[Xazor]

She nodded and sighed.

I am glad I'm not searching for answers by myself.......

She said with a slight laugh, and then seriousness overcame her expression once more.

That is fine.........we shall go there.

She said quickly.

[Satine Capashen]

"Now, about your ship...Do you think we could do better with a Dark Star--formerly a Nova class vessel--Battle cruiser? Satine left it in orbit, opting to take his Pyro GX Custom fighter."

[Xazor]

Xazor shrugged her shoulders.

I don't know...........my X-Wing is pretty fast.

She said as a smile slowly crept across her lips.

[Satine Capashen]

"But so is the Tolaria. It's one of the fastest in the New Republic fleets."

[Xazor]

She nodded and spoke.

That is fine then.......

She said in a confident voice. She had no knowledge of this ship, but trusted his words.

[Satine Capashen]

"Bring your little fighter along too. We might need to go down to the surface, and the ship is just too big to do it."

[Xazor]

Xazor smiled brightly at his words.

Great! I will......

She said with pride.

[Satine Capashen]

"Alright, take your fighter, and go to these coordinates." Sidar says, handing Xazor a piece of flimsy with a set of coordinates on it. "I'll meet you there."

As soon as he says this, the blue skinned Metathran warrior sprints off, heading for his own fighter.

[Xazor]

Xazor quickly skimmed the coords and forced a smile. She tucked them away in the pouch that held the Chaos Talisman. She watched Sidar take off to his ship, and then she ran in the opposite direction towards "Escape"..........

[Satine Capashen]

About ten minutes later, Sidar stands on the bridge of the Dark Star class battleship, Tolaria, and looks at the scanners. Seeing Escape fly closer, Sidar opens a comm channel.

"Come on into the main bay Xazor, and be careful not to scratch the paint of the fighters in the hanger...We just had them washed." Sidar clicks the comm off with a laugh, and then points to two guards.

"You, and you. Go to the bay, and escort Xazor here."

[Xazor]

Receiving the message, Xazor laughs slightly to herself. What kind of pilot does he think I am? She asked herself and then laughed again. Seeing the blast doors to the main bay open, she slowly pulls "Escape" to the left and eases her down toward the large battleship. She pushed down on the flight controls and then pulled up slowly as she flew slowly into the bay. Slightly releasing the controls, she lands the X-Wing smoothly. She shuts down the engine and it begins the cooling process. She opens to hatch to the cockpit and jumps down. She then walked to the front of the ship and saw to heavily armed guards who bowed slightly to her. She returned the bow and they informed her that they were to escort her to the bridge. She smiled slightly and walked in between them as they led her to Sidar.

[Satine Capashen]

As Xazor enters the bridge, Sidar swivels his chair, and smiles a bit.

"Ready? Good. We're heading towards the out edge of the gravity well to jump. Then we head to Meras."

As Sidar says this, the navigation officer nods, and Sidar says, "Let's go."

The officer pulls down a lever, and a small hiss is heard, as the back-swept wings slide up into the main body of the ship, and it jumps to hyperspace, the star lines elongating.

[Xazor]

Xazor smiled slightly as she watched the stars transform into streaks across the velvet sky. She walked over to Sidar and placed a hand gently on his shoulder.

Thank you for helping me with this........I'd be lost without you.

She said in a soft voice as she peered out the deck window.

[Satine Capashen]

"You're quite welcome. I mean, he's my friend too after all."

[Xazor]

She nodded and forced a smile.

Yeah.........now we just have to find him.

She said in hopeful tones.

[Satine Capashen]

"With any luck we can find him on Meras...If not...Then we start looking everywhere."

[Xazor]

I hope we find him.............I do...............

She said, looking at the floor and her thoughts moved onto what she would do......

[Satine Capashen]

"Ah, but what would you do to him if you found him? Try not to kill him...That's my job..." Sidar says, smiling.

[Xazor]

I don't know what I would do.............he could use a good beating for breaking the promise.......

She said, gritting her teeth in a low growl.

[Satine Capashen]

"But what if this turns out to be something concocted by the Kat herself?"

[Xazor]

I don't know............then I guess she'll get the beating..........

Xazor growled angrily. She knew that her aggression would not get her far......but she could not ignore her feelings.

[Satine Capashen]

"An I will help. When we get Satine back."

[Xazor]

Good........

She said, releasing her anger through her eyes, she quickly swept it away with thoughts of better times when she and Alpha were together.......

[Satine Capashen]

"Oh, and lighten up on the anger. I'm not Force trained, but I am Force sensitive, and you're burning me with it. Listen, " Sidar says, his tone softening, "we'll find the kid. He's your brother after all, so that gives us a link."

[Xazor]

Xazor nods, filling her soul with the Force once again and lightening her aura.

He and I share a Force bond..........so I will be highly aware of his aura......his presence.....his soul.

She said sofly as she reached out for him.......all she felt was darkness.

[Satine Capashen]

Seeing the look on Xazor's face as she tries to read Alpha's aura, he sighs.

"It's that bad, huh? Well, with any luck--" Sidar says, being cut off by an emergency warning claxon.

"Report," he barks.

"Sir, we're being pulled out of hyperspace by a gravity mine. Pirates probably." the sensor officer says, then nods his head as he gets a readout on the ships. "Definately pirates sir. One Corellian Corvette, and two Skipray Blastboats."

"Weapons, extend wings, power up shields and weapons. Get a lock on those two boats first. I want them out of my skies."

As Sidar says this, the two assault fighters fire their ion cannons at Iolaria, the shots hitting the ultra-powerful shields, and dissolving. In return, the warship speaks with its plasma cannons, silver bolts streaking out from the turrets in the hull. Two bolts converge on one blastboat, lighting it up like a candle.

As the other Blastboat sees the fate of its wingman, it launches two torpedoes, which are picked off by laser turrets on the nose of the Tolaria. The attacker then gets hit by two ion-pulse cannons--mounte don the wings--and explodes from the energy backfire of its reactor.

"Good," Sidar says, pleased that they had gotten the two fighters out of the way, now concentrate on the Corvette."

The Tolaria[/u] had taken a few hits from the corvette, but its shields still held, and now it was their turn. Two great cannons begin to glow a purplish hue as they chage up, Tol turning to face the Corvette.

"Fire fusion cannons." Sidar says, smiling a bit.

The weapons officer smiles, and hits a button, the two cannons discharging two extremely large purple bolts of energy. The lighting on the bridge dims, but then is lit up again by the explosion of the pirate vessel.

"Well," the Metathran says, turning to the helm officer, "now that that little excitement is over, proceed on our course to Meras."

[Xazor]

Xazor smiled at the teamwork the crew of the ship possessed. Looking to Sidar, she nodded slightly.

Good work. I hope now, our course will be untroubled as we head to Meras.

She said as she walked over to the bridge railing and looked out the bay window. She reached out again and felt for Alpha's aura..........again, all she felt was darkness illuminating from his soul. I wish you were here with me....... She spoke in her mind to his.........wherever he was.

[Satine Capashen]

As Xazor sends this message, she gets a response.

Sister, help...I'm not the one-- the message said, extremely weak at first, and the cutting off all together.

Sidar sees Xazor's face, and gets up. "What is it?"

[Xazor]

She turns around quickly at Sidar's words. Rage and fire burned in her eyes.

Someone did do it to him! It really isn't Alpha who is the darksider..........

She began to pace as she pounded her right fist into her left hand. Whoever did this does not want to meet up with me................... She thought to herself.

[Satine Capashen]

Sidar sighs, and then sits down again, watching Xazor.

"I was afraid of that..."

[Xazor]

Xazor continues to pace after Sidar takes a seat. She suddenly stops and reminiscently looks out the bay window again. Her eyes soften and she lowers her head as words find their way into her mind.

Do not anger, my child. Focus on the light and what you can do with it........

The voice repeated itself in her mind. It was that of her Master and she smiled as she thought of what great lessons he had taught her so far in her training. Now her thoughts rested on him as they made their journey. She missed him so, and wished he could have gone with her.......but she knew it could not be so.

[Satine Capashen]

"Xazor, I would reccomend getting some sleep. If he is on Meras, then we're both gonna be very busy."

[Xazor]

She nodded and smiled slightly.

Goodnight then..........my friend.

She spoke softly as she walked toward the living area on the large battle ship.

[Satine Capashen]

Sidar smiles, and waves at Xazor.

"Sleep well. I'll keep watch."

He settles in the chair, looking around the silent bridge with his pure black eyes.

[Xazor]

Xazor smiles and nods at his reassuring words. She enters the living area and finds a bunk. Taking off her cloak, she lays down the small bag she had brought with her. She took out some sleep wear and quickly changed into it, leaving her Jedi robes on a chair. She gently climbs into the bed and pulls the covers up to her neck. She then drifts off to sleep, thinking of Alpha...........Verse............Sidar............ .the mission that was set before her.

[Satine Capashen]

Sidar steeples his fingers, and glances around the bridge.

"Sensors, I want to know about anything that might interrupt our little trip. Doesn't matter how small it is."

"Yessir," came the quick reply, followed by the clicks, and beeps of a console being used.

[Xazor]

Xazor rolled over in her sleep as her dreams took her to a place she visited often in her mind.......her home. She had been having the same dream a lot lately. It took place when she was a little girl and she could clearly see her parents in her mind. She had never met them as far as she knew, but the dream was so real. Suddenly, she felt a slight jar and awoke. Sitting straight up in her bed, she looks around but gathers nothing and then drifts back to sleep.

[Satine Capashen]

As Xazor drifts back to sleep, she hears her brother's scream, followed by a laugh in much the same voice, just darker, colder. Again she hears it, this time with the colder voice says,

"Meet on Meras. I shall be waiting..."

[Xazor]

Xazor sits straight up in her bed again, this time breathing heavily and grasping the necklace she wore. Her heart raced as the words replayed in her head. A few tears streamed from her eyes as she slowly laid back down and repositioned herself in the bed.

Oh dear brother.......how I miss you.......

She said, closing her eyes slightly as she laid there in the silence. All she could hear was the steady hum of the ship's engine as they made their way to Meras.....

[Satine Capashen]

Sidar is awakened by the gentle push of Ty Leto, his second in command, and he quickly takes a look around.

"Where?" was all he asks.

"We're coming up on the fringe of the Meras system. Our weapons and shields are up already," came Ty's quick reply.

"Good," Sidar says, hitting the comm to Xazor's quarters.

"Xazor, we're approaching Meras. Do oyu sense anything? Oh, and you might want to get up here."

[Xazor]

Xazor was startled from her sleep at the sound of Sidar's voice. She quickly got out of bed and changed into her usual Jedi robes. Combing back her waist length hair with her fingers, she ties her boots and runs out of her quarters.

He is on Meras.........I can sense his presence......his soul. Once we get closer, I can tell you more.

She said as she walked up behind Sidar. She walked to the edge of the deck and looked out the bay window. The planet had an ominous feeling about it........or maybe it was just the darkness she felt surrounding Alpha.......

[Satine Capashen]

Sidar mutters an oath as even his untrained sense could sense the darkness. As Xazor walks onto the bridge, she sees Sidar kneeling over the flooring, and inputing a code on the keypad there.

"What are you doing?" Xazor asks, not getting a reply for a moment more.

In response, the floor panel rises, Sidar stepping back, and revealing an extremely large weapons rack. the blue-skinned Metathran grabs various weapons, and smiles, motioning for xazor to arm herself.

[Xazor]

She grins and takes various weapons from the rack, strapping them to holsters that were already holding her own weapons.

I don't think anyone will want to mess with us.......

She said, laughing slightly.

[Satine Capashen]

"Yes, but did you feel that darkness? Even I could feel that power. We need to be carefull..."

[Xazor]

The darkness is more than you know........

She said with a bit of sorrow hanging on her voice as she looked out the bay window and watched as the ominous planet loomed close by.....

Sidar nods, and then motions for Xazor to folow him to the landing bay, and into a shuttle. Sidar takes the pilot's seat, and soon they are heading for the planet's surface...

Xazor's heart races as they take off, heading for the planet that held destiny......and might change her life and the lives of those she loves...........forever...........
