Who decides when you are ready to become a Jedi Master?

I am not sure, but I think that they vote on it.

You start off as a Padawan and then are voted, with your Master's approval, to be a Knight. You are then tested after commitment and ability to be a Master

It isn't an easy road

Usually DT dishes out the trial. It's always tough. First there has to be a general concensus by the other Jedi Masters that you're ready, I think. This isn't always announced in the open either, sometimes DT will just surprise you with a test. Usually you have to be a Jedi Knight for some time. We don't take time into account, but skill. Usually though, time develops skill. Both IC and OOC. :)

See, I've been here since August of 2000, but I never got past Knight. But then again, I don't RP that often. It really all depends on how much RP experience, and not necessarily the time you've put in. Ya dig?

Time does count for something though... Took me about a real year and a half. Rarely does it come sooner.
