Path to choose.......

[Xion Darksun]

Xion walked through the thick jungle. He could feel the presence of others around him, but could not see them with his eyes. Suddenly, he came into a clearing where he saw a massive building. He smiled, for he had finally reached his point of destination...........and the place to choose. Without giving it much though, he slowly walked inside. The place was dimly lit, and he did not see anyone. Walking to the center of the room, he spoke.

I seek admittance to the Greater Jedi Order. I wish to become a Jedi.........and be a protector of the peace and light. I wish to use the Force to better myself.......those around me.......and the galaxy. Please, I respectfully ask for a Master to train me in the ways of the Jedi.

His words bounced off the walls and echoed back to his ears. After saying what was on his heart, he bowed deeply and respectfully. He let silence take over the room, and he watched the shadows as they seemed to move across the walls. He hoped someone had heard his words..........

[Sia Lan Darkheart]

Sia-lan walked down the halls that connected the Recruitement Center to the rest of the temple. She glanced inside and saw a lone figure standing in the bare room. She steped into the doorway. The brighter lights of the hallway lights cast her shadow accross the floor of the RC. She stood watching the figure and waited to see if Master Warren or one of the others would except him.

Feeling a presence through the Force, the young man spins around to face the direction from which he felt the being. He sees a kind looking woman standing in the doorway of the center. He smiles and bows his head slightly.

Hello........my name is Xion Darksun. I have come here to be a Jedi. I can sense that you are one. Are you a Knight or are you learning?

He asks inquisitively.

[Sia Lan Darkheart]

"I am a padawan to Akrabbim. My name is Sia-lan Darkheart." Sia crosses her arms and steps into the room, her cloak wraped around her. She found it odd how close there last names were but mearly shruged it off. "Master Warren is incharge of the RC. He or one of the other masters should be in here soon." She says to him.

Xion nodded and gave her a kind smile.

Nice to meet you, Ms. Darkheart. I have patience to wait for a Master to greet me. I am greatly anticipating it.

He shifted uneasily and placed his hands behind his back.

Sia held back a slight laugh. She leaned against the door frame of the RC. She could sense several of the other jedi walking around in the other areas. She pulled several shadows together on the ground using the force and started shapeing them into different things.

"Perhaps after one of the masters greats you and you are assigned a master, I could give you a tour of the place?" She sudgested to him.

Xion smiled and became a little nervous. So many things would happen this day to change his life. He would recieve a master and see the whole Jedi base.........it all seemed like a dream to him.

I would like that, a lot.

He replied softly. She was very kind to offer to show him around.

ooc: I was just wondering how long it usually takes to get a master. I noticed others joined and received one right away. I am patient and am not rushing.........just curious.

"It is quite a large tour Sia...."

Navaria had overheard some of the conversation and decided that she would satisfy her curiosity to who this new arrival was. She bowed in greeting to them both. Slowly Navaria pulled back the brown hood covering her face and smiled at Xion.

"My name is Navaria Tarkin, Jedi Knight. Forgive me if I am asking you to repeat yourself but how did you find your way to the Order?"

Xion bowed as another Jedi entered the room. It was evident that both women knew each other.

It is an honor to meet you, Ms. Tarkin.

He said kindly before saying anything else. Thinking for a moment about how to answer her question, he spoke.

I am not supposed to be here.

He paused and started pacing.

My father always knew that I was Force sensitive.......so he arranged for a Sith Master to take me as his apprentice once I was old enough...........which was this year. He knew that I did not agree with his ways........we often got into fights.......he thought this would make me like him. I left my home two nights ago on my father's star speeder. I was searching for the Jedi.........I did not want to become a Sith like he is.........

He stopped pacing and looked at the ground before continuing his story.

My father knew that I would never be like him..........he knew that I hated the Sith and that my love was for the Jedi. He has known this since I was just a small child..........the Force brought me here. So I come before you, seeking to be trained in the ways of the Jedi. I seek to be a warrior and servant of the light.

He spoke in a resolved tone and looked up, meeting Navaria's gaze.

Xion saying that he wasn't suppose to be here caused eyebrows to be raised slightly. She was going to inquire further but he did so without a prompt.

She listened intently, giving her full attention to Xion's story. It was different from usual stories that she had heard, but in the end ... it was the same.

"To follow one's heart and trust in the Force already shows the bravery inside yourself. You have risked your life in order to find the Jedi and to do what you feel is right. Already you have taken your first steps as a Jedi."

Navaria finished with a smile.

"So, you are suppose to be here because you want it. Never think otherwise."

[Xion Darksun]

Xion nodded in agreement.

You are right...........I am supposed to be here and no one shall tell me otherwise.

He smiled and confidence rang through his words.

I wish to give my whole self to the Jedi and train in the ways of the Force. I want to protect the light and help bring peace to the galaxy.........even if it means giving up my life.

He looked at the floor for a moment as he said this, and then looked back up with a brighter expression.

[Navaria Tarkin]

The expression on his face was what she wanted to see. Determination and pride in what he was doing without regret.

"To embrace the Force, Xion, is to embrace life and I welcome you to the cause of protecting it. Did you wish for myself to train you as my Padawan Learner or some other Master that resides here?"

[Xion Darksun]

Xion smiled and spoke.

I shall be honored to have you as my master....

Joy and excitement rang through his voice as he spoke.

[Navaria Tarkin]

She laughed inwardly at Xion's excitement but soon he will learn that such emotions will have to be set aside for training. A serious mind is needed to understand the Force.

"Then if that is your wish, so be it. I will be honored to take you as my Padawan Learner. I suggest finding a room and settle in for the night. Tomorrow we begin our journey together."

[Xion Darksun]

Xion nodded slightly and bowed in respect.

Yes, Master. I am looking forward to this new life.......

He said and bowed once again before turning to leave.
