Several months had passed since his defection to the New Republic. It was all paperwork and politics, and it went by dreadfully slow. His patience sustained, however, and now he decided that the time had come to do what he came here for. Ashamed of his past, he felt that the only way to make up for all the lives that he took was to change his ways. To be honest, he never knew much about the Greater Jedi Order - he didn't have to. Before they were an enemy and it was all that mattered. What he did know was that Jedi were calm and peaceful, some very wise.

Alec wanted to relearn the ways of the force, and train to be smarter in his actions. To do right and erase his history of wrong was all he desired. And he had a feeling that he had come to the right place to do so.

A muscular woman stepped from the shadows. Her blonde hair fell to her waist and gracefully rested upon her shoulders. Her red robes flowed like an ocean wave behind her as she silently approached the stranger. She had seen him somewhere before...he seemed...familiar. She shook the thought off, not recalling where. With a smile, she bowed to him and rose, her deep blue eyes meeting his.

Greetings...I am Xazor Dawnstrider, Warrior Jedi Knight of the Greater Jedi Order. May I assist you with something?

She questioned with a gentle smile.

The woman seemed to have come out of no where, as he did not sense her gentle footsteps draw her closer to him. It was his first encounter with a Jedi, and Alec seemed to be almost paranoid by it. So used to the cruel ways of the Sith and their desire to prove themselves, it made him uncomfortable at first for her to be so content and relaxed. Could it be some sort of mind trick or was she probing his thoughts? Shaking his head, he set aside his negative thoughts and returned her greeting with a similar bow.

"Hello...Miss Dawnstrider was it? My name Alec Lafeyette. I'm looking for acceptance into your order to learn as a padawan the true ways of the Force."

Xazor smiled and nodded her head slightly.

It appears to me that you have decided to change your ways....

She thought for a moment, finally recalling where she had remembered him from.

Your heart is in the right place and fitting for the Jedi. This life is not an easy one....it is the road less traveled. The committment is deep...but you are here, and I am sure you are aware of that.

She smiled gently on the man and nodded her head in agreeance to what she was thinking.

Yes, you shall train here. Welcome to the Greater Jedi Order. A Master shall be assigned to train you shortly. In the mean time, feel free to go down to Master Yoghurts Bar and Grill and get to know some people. You may also wish to go to the Living Quarters and find a room to stay in, if you wish. Again, I welcome you, padawan Lafeyette.

She bowed once again, happy for the new birth of a Jedi. The suns smiled down upon him this day for the change he had made in his heart.

ooc: We are currently being swamped with padawans, which is great! So, we are trying to find a Master for you and for those others which have recently joined. Like I said, feel free to browse the other forums and read other posts and whatnot. Get to know some people at Yogs or create a thread about you finding a room in the Living Quarters. Check back here periodically to see if someone has been assigned, or keep your eyes open in the academy. Again, welcome!

Alec nodded with a smile on his face, glad to be here at last. He knew in his mind that this was where he belonged, and he would make it worthwhile.

"I am in your debt Xazor, and your hospitality humbles me. I hope to see you again during my studies here at the GJO."

OOC: Cool! Only thing I'm not sure on is will I have to pick a master or will I be assigned one? Either way, you can count on running in to me in one of those places. Thanks again, and nice to meet you.

Xazor smiled and bowed once again.

No debt do you owe me, except perhaps some company in the bar and a nice drink in the future.

She laughed slightly and turned to leave.

Make yourself at home.....I am glad that you like it here. You hold a lot of promise...

She said gently and then made her way out of the recruitment center.

ooc: A Master will be assigned to you. I posted something about it in the temple so someone should come forth soon! By the way, once you have a master, you too will have access to Temple Avalon. You might want to read our FAQs and newbie facts here in the RC. Have fun and welcome!

Alec chuckled, a mental note already made. He took in the sights around him, and planned on spending the day finding his around the place. By the time his head leveled out from looking around, Xazor had already disappeared down the hallway.

OOC: all right, thanks. read some of them already, but hopefully I wont have too much trouble since I'm not a newbie. ;)
