This time, the Jedi seems to be fully flesh, dressed in a simple black Jedi cloak and carrying an unusual lightsabre. He looks at the Padawans and then gets into a ready stance, allowing the Force to flow in him, to listen to it and to aloow it to guide and help him.

"Okay, I'm feeling toey. Any Padawans want to try their hand agaisnt a real challenge?"

**Standing up, Beldarine walks forward. She drops into a low bow, giving her respect to the powerful Jedi Master. Envisioning a flame, all her emotions became locked inside it. Embracing the Force, she unclipped her lightsaber. With a snap-hiss the blue blade sprung forth, and she lowered herself into a defensive crouch.

"If I may, Master Turbogeek.. I accept your challenge."

:: Lifting an eyebrow, not knowing this Padawan, he lights up his lightsabre. It's blade goes blue, then colour shifts to red, then green.

With some caution the Master advances, then strikes for the throat without warning::

**A momentary look of fascination crossed her face as she looked at the changing saber's colors. As quick as a snake, the Jedi Master lunged towards her throat. Just as quickly, her saber pulled up, the blades meeting in a clash of sparks that rained softly upon her. Some burned slight holes in her tunic, scorching her skin underneath. Her knees bent as she stiffened her body against his saber pushing against hers. Their eyes met as the fighters quickly disengaged, circling each other warily.

**The force guided her movements as the opponents searched each other for weaknesses. Beldarine slowly began to back up, allowing herself more room to manuever. Eying her opponent cautiously, she sprung forward into a handspring. Catching herself with her left hand, she pushed herself forward. Landing in front of her opponent she shifted immediately, almost blurring in her speed. Jumping in the air, her right leg swung around -- the heel of her boot connecting with DT's chin.

**The Jedi Master had seen her move coming, so the hit did not have much force behind it.. but it did connect. She landed softly, spinning the saber in her hand. Crouching down, Bel awaited his next move.

:: He shook hs head slightly, clearing away any lingering feeling from the blow. Oh good. At least one Padawan had the appearence of being trained well. Lets see how well.

Moving forward, he sweeps a few blows, getting range, then comes in slightly with the attack. A quick check, then the Master raises his sabre, lifts a foot and hops twice, bringing his sabre down hard towards her head. As she responds, the foot comes down, the boot scraping along her shin and stamping her foot. Knowing his sabre is not in the right position to attack furter, he spins away and drops low into a crouch, sabre upright and guarding. His mind, already feeling the Force, goes deeper into it. ::

**Pain shot up her leg from the effects of his hit. Her shin would be bruised tomorrow; Bel could almost envision a deep purple welt running along her bone. Inside the void, the pain came and went quickly. She smiled slightly, unconciously.

**Bel advanced, her saber cutting upwards in a wide arc. His saber met hers as she pushed up towards his chest. It brought her close, but not close enough. As their sabers remained locked in the struggle, she siddled nearer to her opponent. Suddenly her saber swung backwards, breaking their lock and giving her a small opening. Her knee came up sharply, connecting with his groin. Using the Force, she backflipped away. As she shot up, her foot extended.. catching her opponent below his mouth, right underneath his chin.

**Her hands caught the ground softly, and tensing slightly she vaulted away from DT. Bel landed upright, watching. Through the Force, the woman relaxed her body.. calming her senses. She resumed her half crouch, her saber held low and at the ready.

:; The Master had backfipped away from the kick, lessening it's effect. And not a bad thing the groin guard was in place... that's going to sting for a bit, which is what the Force could be used to counter. Still.....

A smile came to the Jedi's face as he adopted a Cat stance. Total calm on his face, he stepped lightly and slowly, allowing the tension to build. Breath came evenly and deeply as he soughtt the inner peace and balance. Moving forward, the sabre is twirled, and presented. He watches as the Padwan comes closer on his beckon. He cloes his eyes and feels the Force around him, around her. He places her in the Force and then feels the rest of his surrounds. Good options here. He opens his eyes and now instead of calm, there is steel.

He attacks, sweeping low. Beladrine reacts and DT reaches over, pulling her close with the Force, grabbing her cloak, then with the Force hurling her upwards into the roof like a toy. She hits the light panel and the glowglobe explodes, firing electricity through her and showering the Padwan and the Master with sparks. DT steps away as she falls and times side kick to her stomach just before she lands, the blow hard enough to knock her several feet away. The Master charges before she has time to recover::

**As her opponent's kick connected with her stomach, Bel could still feel the electricity passing through her. Her back hit the floor and she tumbled unceremoniously until she hit the wall. Her room spun as the void had been shattered with the pulses of electricity. Colors flickered in front of her vision as the pain seared every fiber of her body. Her mind worked fast, rekindling the flame of the void. Bel shoved all her pain into the flickering candle in her soul; she would feel no pain, her body would be pushed to the point of exhaustion.. until she collapsed. She emersed herself into the Force -- inside the light, there was no pain, no exhaustion, there was only.. the Force. Using the force, she scorpioned up off the floor. The hilt of her saber lay a distance away, but before she could think twice about it, a loud smack echoed through the hall as it hit her palm. She barely got it lit before the charging Jedi Master was only feet from her.

**Her opponent ran guarded, there was no way to get an attack in from the front -- she would just end up more battered than before. She catapulted herself into the air, somersaulting before coming to rest behind DT. Her hand shot out with incredible speed, catching him on the side of his ribcage. She was startled, not expecting him to turn so quickly. Her palm connected on the lower part of his ribcage in a glancing blow. No bother, I can do this anyway.. She dropped down low, leg flinging itself out. She caught him hard across the ankles, sweeping his support out from under him. Moving so fast she blurred, immediately Bel was standing again. Jumping into a swift roundhouse kick, her ankle connected sharply with the falling man's shoulder.

**Landing backwards, she quickly backflipped away. Breathing hard, she felt her joints beginning to freeze. That electricity had tired her. With the Force she tried to heal some of the burns the glowbulb had inflicted. Closing her eyes, she wielded the Force.. trying to eliminate some of the weariness that stained her body. She sensed her opponent across the room. Crouching into a catlike stance, Bel continued to meditate while subconciously eying the Jedi Master.

"Hello Cadet. As you may not be aware of, Turbogeek is my Master. That is what I was referring to."

:: The Jedi Master spun, and hit the floor rolling, coming to a stop and looking back at where the Padawan was. His shoulder hurt from what was a well timed kick, he used the Force to deaden the pain. He pushed himself to his feet, eyes boring in on the Padawan. Indded, better than the usual. Time to step up

“I see you have been trained well, you don’t cower in fear at a legend as well. That will serve you well” He twirled his sabre, the shifting colours making an interesting rainbow effect. He swung his shoulder keeping the muscles loose and prattling for a few more seconds, before quite unexpectedly flicking his sabre at Beldrine in an underhand cast. The sabre tip gouges the floor, sending up sparks and hot debris which the Jedi pushes with the Force into the Padawan’s clothes and face, the sparks singing skin and clothes. The sabre it self comes to rest after doing a squiggle and switching off. The Jedi himself doesn’t move, choosing instead to place one hand on his back, under his cloak and the other in front of him, beckoning the Padawan to attack.

“Hit me”

“But…”

“I am unarmed? Is a Jedi truly without a weapon if they have the Force? Come on”

Turbogeek moves first striking outwards with the exposed arm and then ducking back as Beldrine retaliates. He drops back, ducking and weaving with incredible speed. He draws her back, then as a blow sweeps by, steps forward his hand from behind his back flashes around with a object in his hand and twists on his feet….

WHAM!!

The sound of metal on flesh makes to onlookers wince. She staggers back, her face a blaze of pain and most likely broken bones. The Jedi Master steps back, the object now revealed to be a heavy cast iron frying pan. He steps forward while she is dazed, and clobbers her again in a double handed strike, pivots and smashes the flat base into Beldrine’s chin, sending her into a backflip.

“As I said, a Jedi is never unarmed. All things can be turned into a weapon if you think clearly about it”

The Jedi Master observes the Padawan using the Force. How would she react? Would the be anger, frustration? Being a Jedi was not just about yoru Force ability, it was about what you did with it. Turbogeek breathed out, allowing the Force to flow through him, allowing it’s power to flow. He sorted rapidly through the array of powers he had knowledge of, selecting one that he believed would be best. Some of the truly terrifying powers a Jedi Master knew he decided were going too far, but this would not be too bad.

Your beginning to get soft DT…. Since when did you give any quarter to anyone?

Since I was dead?

Yes, the Force was different viewed from his position.

He reattached the frying pan to his belt, then closed his eyes, reopened them and lifted a hand, making a circle. He visualised what he wanted and began to really concentrate. The Force flowed, obeying his command as he stood in the centre of the room, eyes watching Beldrine carefully and truly ready. A piece of paper fluttered by as the airconditioning seemed to malfunction.

**Her head rang like a bell -- noise reverberating from the hallways in her mind. Lifting herself to her knees, she tried to flex her jaw, but it couldn't seem to work properly. Gritting her teeth, she stood in pain. The room seemed to spin for a second before she got a grip and locked it into place. The void had shattered like her jaw with the first blow from the frying pan. Forcing the void back together, she again directed her attention towards her opponent. Staggering slightly, Bel firmly planted her feet and regained her bearings. Her saber had been lost, but no matter. As the Jedi Master said, with the Force as an ally, no Jedi is weaponless. Calmly she centered herself within the Force, inhaling the light and the peace -- finding the true balance of being.

**Surrepticiously, she glanced around the room. He stood in the center of the room, watching her. She felt the airconditioning suddenly switch off. Turbogeek must be doing something. Walking forward, she crouched down in a catlike position a few feet beyond her opponent. There were several shelves inside the sparring room. Assorted antiques lines them. She knew he would not be expecting anything less then a physical assault. Creeping forward, she drew his wary attention.

"You are right, Master Turbogeek. It is a lesson well-learned. No Jedi is defenseless when the Force is their ally.."

**While she talked to him, her mind was elsewhere. Using the Force she manipulated a rather large and heavy ceramic flower pot, flinging it into the air before...

**THWACK**

**It came in contact with the back of his skull, making a crunching noise that people couldn't help but shudder at. It stayed intact after the collision, falling to the ground and rolling away. Dirt flew everywhere, covering Turbogeek with a thick layer of topsoil. His eyes glazed momentarily from the impact, but before he could recover...

**CRUNCH**

**A tall steel vase hit him in the small of the back. Turbogeek pitched forward from the impact. The sound of the metal hitting the floor and rolling off to the side was deafening. The blow to the base of the spine was a glancing one, and her opponent's knees buckled.

**She backed away a few feet, to get out of the falling man's path. She was lost in the power of the Force, resounding through her body. It felt incredible, the amount of light and peace surging through her veins. She may be simply a padawan, but Bel was determined to put up a fight until her defeat. The room was heating rapidly, there had to be something she could do to quiet it. Her broken jaw ached, and her head still rang like no tomorrow, but inside the Force, pain was temporary, ethereal.

**As she pushed the Force inwards to heal herself while her opponent recovered, Bel also pushed it outwards. Starting at first around herself, she slowed the molecules in the air -- cooling the room. She felt a touch of bitter cold spread out in an expanding diameter around her. Her breath steamed in the cold air as her eyes closed, concentrating on cooling the area. It would take quite a few moments to cool the entire room, but it was a task she knew she needed to accomplish. Turbogeek was up to something, and it must have to do with the temperature in the room.

**Bel hoped to stay one step ahead of the Jedi Master, whether or not she had guessed right, would soon be found out.

He had been able to twist with warnings by the Force that helped him alleviate the damage, but still, the crack to the head was quite hard. Turbogeek used the Force to deaden the pain, brushing some dirt off his hair. One part of his mind was attentioned to the here and now, the other part was carefully placing the pieces together for what he needed. Difficult to concentrate enough to use the Force as it was, it was indescribably more so when splitting your attention. What he needed was the ability to concentrate to the maximum and for that he needed to make some time for himself. Nice of the Padawan to create one for him.

An arm swept the ground and the Force was guided like a shovel, with all the pieces of pot and dirt swept up and flung into Beldarine’s face. He flipped three times backwards to get out of range, then he dropped to one knee, hand pointing palm down to the ground. He bought all his power to bear for a moment, then windmilled his arms once. Around him, a glowing shield came into being. The light display wasn;t necessary, but it helped the Master detirmine how large the Force shield would be and to fix where it’s protection started. He pushed with his mind, making it powered by his will, precisely 1 metre at it’s closest to him. The shield glittered, it would not stop a massive attack, but it would deflect objects thrown, absorb limited firepower and also slow a sabre. In other words, it bought you time. There were other shielding techniques far more powerful, but none could be done with divided attention. Against a single opponent, it would be enough, especially for what he had in mind.

He closed his eyes, allowing the Force to meld through him. He began to visualise what he wanted, placed the steps he needed. He became calm and felt the peacefulness seep through him. One part of his mind attended to the shield. The other focused on his opponent. The air was cold, but it would not matter. Cold made the atmosphere more dense and more able for him to be used.

He focused on a hand, feeling the molecules on his hand, gave them a nudge. Shaped, formed. Pushed. Harder. On his hand appeared a whirlwind and his other… he made sure no one saw that.

Turbogeek stood, stretched out his hands, palms up. In one hand, was the whirlwind, now about 30 cm high. The other held a single dancing flame.

The roof caved in on Beldarine.

**Her hands shot up to her eyes, trying to dig the dirt out of them. Her mind stayed composed within the Force, subconciously observing her opponent. Finally removing the remainder of the debris from her eyes, she glanced at him. Seeing a whirlwind in one palm, and a flame in the other, the padawan knew something was about to happen. A huge groaning from above was her only alert.

**The roof began to cave in on her head. Throwing herself aside, she hit the ground hard with her shoulder and rolled. Her back hit the wall, causing her to stop abruptly. Hastily she erected a force shield around her body, trying to avoid most of the debris falling.

**In a matter of seconds the roof fully caved in. She had stood in the center of the destruction only moments ago, but now she was on the outter edge. Reflexively, Bel covered her head with her arms as large chunks of the ceiling fell around her. A decent sized chunk of the roof broke through her shield and glanced off her ankle. Pain skittered across the Force as the dust and debris began to settle.

**There was no light filtering through the shield. On top, a small layer of plaster and chunks of the ceiling had formed. Beldarine herself was coated in a fine, white layer of dust. Grimly she rose, the plaster pieces falling from the shield she still held.

**Letting go of the force shield, Beldarine walked into the center of the room. Her ankle hurt like wildfire, and dust and dirt made broad smudges across her whole face and body. The room was filled with a faint haze of white, as the dust from the concrete still settled down. She saw her opponent protected by a multi-hued, shimmering aura, obviously a shield. Bel searched for her lightsaber, relieved to find it in one piece across the room. There was no chance for a direct, physical attack so Beldarine simply crouched down and waited.

**The Force created a total calm within her as she grimly stared at her opponent. Fatigue was settling in on her muscles, she knew he was planning something -- something large. What, though, Beldarine could not fathom. Gathering herself together, she began to make preparations for his next attack.

He saw her escape - just. It didnt matter, it was a ruse to buy time.

His mind opened to the Force completely and he feltthe power swell, advance and in his mind begin to overwhelm. The flame in one hand and the whirlwind int he other grew as the Master stood straight, tilted his head up to the ceiling, breathed deeply, He let out a yell, then stamped forward, smashing his handstogether and focusing the Force on a point two centimeters from his fingertips.

Silence.

As if a giant hand had swept across the room, Beldarine was picked up along with the debris and begun to be swept together. A hand movement ahd the whole lot began to spin as DT's mind pushed against the air, the assorted metal and wood pieces, forming, guiding. In a second, the whole lot had turned ioto a cyclone, twisting and turming, while the room temerature dropped. The room began to be splattered with rain as from above dark clouds formed and buffeted. A bolt of lightning arced through the sky as the elemtal forces answered DT's Weather Control,

Now released, it couldnt be stopped as the storm broke out, lightnigng and thunder booming and crashing. The windstorm ripped more of the roof apart, joining in the debris pummelling the Padawan in the howling twister, the only thing now under the Master's total control. He could only guide the storm above, but that was not his wish.

Allowing the twister to lose power he located Beldarine with his mind, he held an arm up and seemed to reach. Debris began to rain, some perilosly close.

He bent and jumped, hard and high. He intercepted the Padwan on her way down, fingers grabbed herneck and the fell, DT with his cloak flying. They hurtled to the ground with the Master using the Force to aim...

Right at the place his sabre had earlier rent the floor, weakening the ferrocrete. His boots touched as the Force was used to abosrb the landing, his arm tensed and thrust hard, Using the landing velocity with his own and also the Force, blasting the Padawan through the Floor in an explosion of Ferro crete and plastics, into the Bar and Grill below. The Padwan crashed onto a table, in the middle of some suddenly frightened drinkers, who ran as other parts of the training area's floor caved.

He also dropped and found his lightsabre by the Force calling it back to his hand. The blade came alive and as he had landed close enough to Bel, the blade came alive and the point almost grazed the Padawan. Only the truly good would have survived that. IF she awoke, she would be a great Knight. If she didnt...

**Everything went black once the cyclone picked her up. Air could not get into her lungs, and the deep black of unconciousness enveloped her. Her subconcious fought to remain awake, and part of her did until her opponent sent her through the floor and into the bar and grill. She fought a battle inside herself, a battle against the dark. Beldarine could feel her body dying, and she knew if she didn't do something, this was the end. Even in her coma, Beldarine was infused with the Force. She battled death now -- more fearsome than any Sith she had faced, any battle she had fought, anything she had done in her life.

**Her soul felt disconnected. Looking down onto her body, she noted that without something she would not live. Bel was determined. Seeing her broken, bloody body lying on the rubble of the ceiling she realized how much life meant to her. It was not her time to join the Force, she had much left to do. Her mortal body's breath began to falter, the heart inside her breast beating weaker and weaker in the passing moments. Pulling the Force in from all around her, Beldarine fought the coma that had taken her body. She fought against the weakened system, those that were slowly starting to falter. She was the Force; there was no line where she ended anymore.

**She fed energy to her heart, her lungs, her brain. She pushed against the curtain of darkness, pushing with all her might. Beldarine threw everything she had into the fight, everything. Unless she could wake up, in a few more moments, the body known as Beldarine Del'Anar would die. Her entire soul's energy pushed against that curtain. Harder and stronger than she could have ever imagined.

**It was like a dam bursting. One moment, the ethereal soul stood outside the body, the next it was sucked back into it. The dark curtain broke against the tide of the Force. A gasp for air came out of the broken woman's body. She opened her eyes slowly, meeting Turbogeek's gaze calmly. Beldarine knew that even though she had won a small battle, the war was still raging. She feebly raised a hand towards her opponent, before it weakly dropped back to the ground.

**Though her body was broken, her eyes stayed calm. The Force was with her, it had helped her, it had kept her alive for now. Respect shone in them, respect for someone so powerful. Beldarine couldn't move, her body was enveloped in pain so pure it was like molten lava. She could not push it aside and closed her eyes from the agony of it all.

"I.. need... help..."

**Her throat burned speaking those words. She felt herself slipping away once again. Her eyes remained open, simply staring at the Jedi Master who had his saber at her throat.

He had kicked aside some of the debris as the startled patrons formed a distant ring around the hole in the roof and the two Jedi. A piece of wood creaked and fell, adding to the destruction. Master Yoghurt ushered the people backwards as Beldarine struggled to live. Turbogeek could see that. He could see the fight could well be lethal for the Padawan – it was not the first time he had tested someone to the point of fatality and it would not be the last. It wasn’t just how you lived that was part of being a Jedi, it was how you faced death as well. You had to make a choice between Light and dark and the truest times for such a test were mortal ones. How you faced an opponent. How you adjusted to wounds.

How you battled Death.

He watched her and saw her life was slipping away, but did not move a hand. Her breathing was ragged and laboured, he could sense her heartbeat skip and stop. Then restart weakly. The blade of the sabre didn’t shift and he felt no emotion.. He among all Jedi knew what death was like, but still he felt no sympathy. Not now.

DT sensed her spirit, too weak to live trying to fight to hold onto life. Trying to gain the foothold that would allow her to survive for just a while longer. Dt could feel her fight the coma, could sense Beldarine’s will to live. Felt her fight against the darkness of Death. The Jedi Master could almost see her spirit as the body weakened further…

Felt the rush of the Force as Beldarine connected with it. The Force favoured life and she was using it to save her own. The Dark Side was death. She had chosen Light. Her sense was calm and at peace. Her eyes met his and in them, he could see no anger or even the pain she must be feeling. Only the trueness of what a Jedi was.

“I …. Need… help…”

Turbogeek watched her impassively, sensing her slipping away again. The fight to survive even this long had cost her dearly and it was unlikely she would survive again. He looked into her eyes. She knew she was dying, but there was no anger. Only peace. Not wanting to die, but accepting it if the Force willed it.

The sabre blade vanished and the hilt was dropped to the floor. The Master kneeled down and placed a hand on her forehead, feeding the Force energy into her, channelling it into a Healing trance which she succumbed to. With the Force he examined her injuries. Internal, broken bones, cuts, bleeding.

“What happened?” Turbogeek turned to regard an Padawan who had picked up the bravery to come closer.

“She was tested. She passed. See to it you train as well as she did, else if you ever face me in trial, you too may live” Probably it was DT’s black humour, but he almost laughed as the other cringed in fear. “But before that, I want a stretcher and I want the med lab alerted. Don’t stand there… MOVE!”. In commendably quick time a stretcher was found and with the Force, they lifted the broken body, now breathing quietly and took her to the bacta tanks.

--

“How is she?”

The medical droid regarded Turbogeek, the person who had spend probably the most time in here. “She does well.”

“Good”

--

Beldarine woke up. The sunlight fell on her face and for a moment she was mentally confused where she was. The smell was what tipped her off. Medical centre.

A droid was next to her… and a bunch of blossoms.

“Flowers?”

“Yes… from Turbogeek. He didn’t leave here until last night.”

“How long have I been here?”

“A week”

A week. He hadn’t left her side for a week? What was that to mean?

On the flowers was a note.

Beldarine –

Some believe the Jedi are peaceful. I don’t. I believe the Jedi can be warriors too. But never forget a true warrior cares for his or her fellows and puts themselves last. Be a servant of all else we are. You have done yourself and your Master proud.

Congratulations on your well deserved promotion, Jedi Knight Beldarine.

**She spoke to the droid while staring at the beautiful flowers DT had left for her.

"When can I leave here?"

"You can leave here now, if you'd like. You'll still be sore from the injuries, but as long as you rest in your bed for a few more days.. everything will be fine."

**She nodded once before slowly swinging her legs over the edge of the bed. Wincing from the pain slightly, she rose and stretched her muscles. Beldarine pulled on a clean Jedi robe and breaches while thinking to herself. She glanced out the window, towards the midday sun that shone through the glass. Now a Jedi Knight. Something she had dreamt about since childhood. Walking slowly over to the bed, Bel sat down and gingerly took the note from the blossoms, placing it in her lap.

**There was much she still needed to learn, but Bel felt stronger than ever. It was like a dam had burst inside of her, freeing herself from any constraints regarding the Force. It was amazing, the feeling she felt inside her was almost overwhelming. Rising from the bed, Beldarine took the flowers in one hand, and grabbed her lightsaber with the other. She walked slowly out the door.

**In a sense, it was like Beldarine Del'Anar died and lived again that day. Before a padawan, now a Knight. Before an insecure woman, now a confidant one. Before she had been imperfect with the Force, now she was a Jedi for whom the Force was a lifelong companion. Beldarine left her old persona back in the medical center that day. Striding out the door, she knew it was a dawning of a whole new life. One more filled with responsibility, but yet, more filled with the rewards of the Force. DT's words rang through her head. She would never let anyone down, or her life forfeit in her blue eyes. Bel's eyes stayed locked on something far in the distance as she walked through the halls, something only she could see... her destiny.
