Khemir sat on the ground cross-legged. He wore a loose sand colored shirt; the sleeves cuffed twice and rolled up to just above his elbows for better movements of the arms. He wore loose offwhite pants as well which were also cuffed but only once. He wore no socks or shoes.

His eyelids were drapped over his eyes; as his trivial thoughts on unimportant things washed away into a blur, and the picture started to clear. Laying in front of him a dozen feet was his lightsaber. It was laying vertically on the navy blue mats the end the 'saber' would burst from pointing north, the hilt pointing south.

The picture was as transparent as ever to him now. Somehow he could channel the 'force' better in these surroundings than he ever had with his old mentor Galapas in Endor. Was it because he was surrounded by other Jedi Padawans and Knights. Or was it he was around people that were his own age and were going through his same problems and experiences.

His mind focused more on the lightsaber in front of him. The whole point of this practice was for him to be able to tap into the 'force' and be able to grab ahold of his floating lightsaber with his eyes closed. The neat part was in this experience, for all the years of meditation that he had experienced with Galapas he could see his lightsaber as if his eyes were wide open peering at the blade.

The lightsaber handle rose a foot off of the ground; it was slow pace yes and it wobbled from side to side alot, but he had never been able to accomplish lifting it from the ground before. It was a slow pace indeed, in time of battle he will not have this much free time to use the 'force' to get a lightsaber sitting ten feet in front of you.

His eyes were closed tightly as he tried to focus on the green lightsaber. Bringing it closer to him with the 'force'. The once transparent image that he was recieving while in deep meditation had dispursed rapidly while he was tapping into the 'force' to bring the lightsaber near. He could still make at the wobbling lightsaber inching it ways closer to his body, but not much of the area surrounding him.

This was his chance; the iota amount of 'force' that he had been using would take to long for the lightsaber to finally get to him. Most Jedi Masters and some Jedi Knights would simply use a strong pull with the 'force' shooting the lightsaber forth at them quickly. They would always catch it, was the impression he recieved from watching many Jedi trainings and the limited Jedi fights he had witnessed. But could he do it?

The lightsaber quickly zoomed across the room the whole 9' feet it was away, he had one chance and one chance only to catch the lightsaber by its hilt; the part where the blade emitted from hopefully not pointing at his head or body parts. It was within range of reaching, here it was take it or die -- if in a real battle -- and he would take it.

He opened his eyes quickly, as his right hand oustretched hoping the lightsaber hilt would hit it and he would have accomplished the Jed trick. The lightsaber hilt bumped the upper portion of his hand. It fell to the ground one side at a time. He had failed, like all the other times, he hoped this would have been different but it wasn't. Khemir buried his head in his hands, as dual teardrops trinkled down his cheeks. He missed Galapas.
