Training of Tanah

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash walked into an open field.. it was a little farther then the other training grounds but nash liked it here the most.. it was early noon and a clear day, perfect for anything out doors..*

"Perfect..."

*Nash Sat ontop of a boulder and waited for his new padawan Tanah to come.. as he waited he took out his saber and started to twirl in one hand..*

"I hope I diden't lose her.. she was right behind me.."

[Tanah]

Tanah walked quickly out to where Nash was and stopped as he twirled his lightsaber. " wow! that was really cool!" sorry about that, it's just so nice out and theres do much to see here! How long did it take you to get that good?" she asked

[Nash Stolar]

"Hmm? Oh... twirling a saber is almost nothing compared to what you can do after you learn force moves.. besides.. alot of free times pays off"

*he chuckled a bit then put his saber away..*

"Please have a seat... then answer these questions for me.. they are standerd questions, answer them truthfully..

First tell me a little about yourself...

Do you have any past force experence?

What is the force to you?

Why do you want to become a jedi?

And do you have any unique weapons or skills you want me to be aware of?

And lastly do you have any questions for me?"

[Tanah]

Tanah sat down in front of nash. "umm okay, well i never had any parents, well i did but i never met them. I lived with my grandfather on Tatooine but he died when i ws seven. I inherited his ship and for a while my friend zach and I just sort of flew from place to place. then I got old enough to fly so I've been roaming ever since. I don't have any past force training but i began to notice things that i could do... i could see things before they happened." she paused to take a breath," the force to me is what binds the galaxy together and connects all living things. I want to be a jedi because i want to help people and protect the good that's out there. I don't know of any skills i have other than piloting. umm...nope no questions..yet.' she grinned

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash smiled and nodded*

"Good answers... From what I can tell you will do good with the force.. now to get started... first I will have you get used to the force.. first off clear your mind of any thoughts you have... then reach out to the force power within your self, then let it flow through you like your own blood.. once you have done this tell me."

[Tanah]

Tanah nodded and closed her eyes. She cleared her mind and felt the force through her. She nodded at Nash. "Okay" she told him

[Nash Stolar]

"Okay.... now I want you to use the forc to expand your sence of whats around you... tell me what you see... this will help you from getting a sneak attacked.."

[Tanah]

Tanah nodded again. she took a slow breath. " There are students sparring about 45 ft. to our right. A cluster of plants are to our left... Master," she stopped and looked at Nash," I can... I can *feel* everything around me...it's amazing!"

[Nash Stolar]

*He smiled again*

"That is the force... amazing thing is it not? It controls all life in the known universe..."

*Nash got off the boulder and walked over to a few roses, picked one then walked back to tanah..*

"Everything has the force within it... Things use it in there own way... The rose here uses it to help it grow into a beautiful thing.. but beings that have a will of there own know how to harnes this power from them selfs to ade others..."

*nash raised his left hand to the bolder he was sitting on and it lifted with ease like it had been attached to a ship..*

"But where there is light there is always darkness.... Some people abuse this power to hurt others and just cause general chaos.."

*suddenly the bolder shot off then exploded in mid-air.. pieces of dust and pebbles started to shower down not far from them*

"They are sith..."

[Tanah]

"Sith? I think I heard about them in one of the spaceports I stopped at a few years back. Do they... Are they our enemies?" Tanah asked.

[Nash Stolar]

"sadly.. yes the sith are our enemies, even sader some are fallen jedi... the dark side is very poweful indeed... it can make people do things they don't want to do..But some take the darkside as if it were their own mothers.. but on occasion some sith can break from the dark side and become jedi.. but it never lasts long... at least not from what I seen.. neather do sith and jedi relationships... Any more questions on the sith?"

Tanah thought for a moment. "What exactly are they? Are they like a cult or are they a whole race?"

"well... they are not really a cult.. Black hand may be one because they let select members in but sith let anyone in that just want to use the darkside.... in a way the universe if divided into force groups... Jedi, Sith, and Dark Jedi.. are the top force groups.."

(I think.. lol)

[Tanah]

Tanah nodded. " I don't think I want to run into one of those guys. So" she changed the subject," What do we do now?"

[Nash Stolar]

"Now will be force lift.. the basis to getting there is mch like force sence, what you had just done.. Let the force flow through you... don't have anything on your mind but the pebble floating as if not effected by gravity... have the force ade you and you should to fine.."

*Nash bent down and took a small pebble.. when he stoop up he stook his arm out and opend his palm.. the pebble right in the center of his hand*

[Tanah]

Tanah closed her eyes and reached out with the force. She felt the pebble and envisoned it floating. Slowly, so as not to lose her concentration, she opened her eyes. the pebble was floating at eye leve. Tanah was surprised and lost her concentration which caused the pebble to drop. She managed to catch it before it hit the ground. She grinned at Nash. "Almost lost it there."

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash smiled and nodded in approvment..*

"Very good.. now I want you to lift this rock.. after you do we can move on.. being the stone is easer to find then the pebble.."

*Nash bent down and lifted a mid-sized stone with his right hand.. then held it out*

"Start when you are ready.."

[Tanah]

Tanah nodded and once again closed her eyes. This time she found the stone almost immediatly and envisioned it rising in the air. Cautiously she opened her eyes and sae that it had indeed risen. "Can I put it down?"she asked Nash.

[Nash Stolar]

"Not quite yet.. after this next thing if you need a break you can take one.. I want you to use the force to make the stone shoot off into the direction of the trees, Imagne the rock flying off as if someone had just throwen it.. don't worry if it misses the trees.. I kinda screwd up my first time doing the force push.."

*Nash rememberd the nice hole he had made in the side of the bar when he was training with warren.. he chuckled softly and watched his padawan*

[Tanah]

Tanah tried not to think of what her Master could have done- if she started giggling now she would drop the stone. Instead she grinned. taking a slow breath she closed her eyes and imagined the rock being thrown forward and pushed it outwards...missing the trees completely. She giggled. "oops"

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash chuckled again*

"That was alot better then what I had done.. So did you want to take a break or do you want to continue?"

[Tanah]

"No way I'm stopping now! That was too much fun!" she exclaimed.

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash nodded and smiled*

"Now we will combine two things to advance.. First I want you to do a force sence to find the stone you have throwen with the force.. then I want you to bring it back.. to bring it back it back to the place you want it can be easy or hard depending on how well the force is with you.. Just picture it in your mind comming to your feet.. like a pet would when you call it.. Just try not to hit yourself by accedent.."

[Tanah]

Tanah smiled when he warned her not to hit herself. She reached out with the force trying to find the rock she had just thrown. *how am i supposed to find the same rock?* she wondered. And then there it was. It was strange...she could feel herself actually on the rock. She pictured the rock coming to her feet (slowly) and then opend her eyes. She started to bend down to pick it up but then with a mischievious smile used the force to raise it into the air until she could reach out and grab it. She turned to Nash puzzled. "Why was it so easy to find the rock? It was almost like I'd put a mark on it or something."

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash smiled and nodded slighty*

"You are getting alot better with the force, I think your a natural at using it. Over time you will be able to do things you only wish you could.. things way beyond just finding someting with the force.. But now we go to force strength.."

*nash walked around for a little bit then came back with two metal poles in his hands.. he gave one to his padawan then took a few steps back* I really should keep these where I could find them..

"Now I am sure you are strong but just bending this alone will not work... That is why we use the force to ade us with things we cannot do alone.."

*nash took his pole into one hand and bent it like it was a piece of soft plastic..*

"Now to do this you have to let the force become the mussles in your arms, give it a little time and you should feel the change in your arms.. then you have to think of omethig other then the metal pole.. like a piece of wire... something easy to bend.. then slowly bring your arms together.."

[Tanah]

Tanah nodded and calmed herself. She felt the force flowing through her and presently felt it *become* part of her. She imagined the pole as flimsy wire and pictured it bending. She was surprised when it actually did. She kept bending it slowly until the tips touched. "That was a challenge." she admitted,"but I think I got it...almost"

[Nash Stolar]

"Alomst? That was just fine by my standerds.. now we go to force run... get into a sprinting posture.. then let the force become the mussles in your legs and feet,Get an image of where you want to run to in your mind.. Once you feel like the force has got strong in your legs slowly push off and you should be faster then you have ever thought.."

[Tanah]

Tanah fixed a point in the distance as the spot where she would run to. She opened herself to the force again and waited until it felt a part of her. She started runnung faster and faster. She felt herself reaching her limit and then pushed past it faster than she'd ever gone before. *this is awesome!* she realized she would have to give herself more room to stop because she was going faster. She turned around and began running back towards Nash, slowing down as she went. "That was so cool!" she exclaimed, her cheeks flushed from running.

[Nash Stolar]

*He smiled and chuckled softly*

"Well done.. take a moment to catch your breath =.. next we will learn the force jump.. get into a possision like you are about to jump.. but let the force become the mussles in your leg once more.. making a vurtual spring now a padawan can jump a max of 50 feet, A knight 100 and Master 100+ So I wont expect you to go higher then 50 feet, once you feel the force has become strong enough in your legs jump up and you should soar... now don't worry about landing.. like I said your legs would be like springs in some way... you should be able to absorb the shock of the landing and come in once piece, but if you think something is wrong comming down yell and I will catch you.."

*He chuckled again and watched her*

[Tanah]

"Oh uh wow...50 ft is pretty high huh?" Tanah said nervously taking a deep breath and blowing it out slowly. "I uh, I don't like heights...we disagree. But I can do this, no problem. Just have to jump! " she laughed nervously but showed no sign of jumping.

[Nash Stolar]

"..Em? afrade of hights.."

*Nash was not afrade of hights so he could not really relate..*

"If you have a ship how can you be afrade of hights?"

[Tanah]

"Because in a ship I have less of a chance of falling and breaking a limb...or plummeting to my death. And it's not the same...when you look out the viewscreen of a ship you don't see the ground."

[Nash Stolar]

"Then say you got shotdown.. you start to plumit to the ground the last thing you see is the ground comming up fast enough that the las...."

*Nash stoped himself he was probaly scaring his padawan*

'Lets make a deal.. if I go first would you go?"

[Tanah]

Tanah thought for a minute. "Okay." she agreed. then she grinned. "But it's not the same in a ship. In a ship you feel covered. I've been shot down before and it wasn't that bad. Except for the landing part."

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash sighed then got into a crouch.. after a moment or two of getting ready with the force because he diden't do this move much he jumped up and was basicly a spot in the sky when he came down he came with a clank as his clothes jolted by the impact but he landed in a crouch with one hand on the ground another in the air*

"How was that?"

[Tanah]

Tanah was staring with wide eyes. "woh. that was...woh. it was amazing! You were way up there!"

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash laughed then smiled as he stood up and looked down at his padawan*

"Are you going to try now?"

[Tanah]

"uh well that was the deal." she looked up. *sith that's high!* Tanah thought to herself not bothering to put up any mental shields. she took a deep breath to calm herself. Letting the force flow around her she got into a crouch. *Okay count of three. one...two...two and a half...two and three quaters...three!* Tanah jumped up pushing off with enhanced strength,thanks to the aid of the force, but kept her eyes closed. Slowly she opened them. *Wow! This isn't so bad*. Then she started coming down. *Oh my god! Geez look how fast the ground is coming! Holy Sith!*. She bent her legs at the last moment but still managed to hit the ground with a lound thump. "ow." she rolled onto her back and kept her eyes closed. "Master? I still don't like heights."

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash walked over to her and stood over her a grin across his face and the loose ends of his bandana falling over his sholders..*

"Really? Well you did a great job.. if it makes you feel better that was the last of jumping as high as you can go we have to do in training.."

[Tanah]

"Thats a relief. At least I won't have to worry about denting the ground anymore." she winced as she sat up. "Never was good at landings."

[Nash Stolar]

"Its alright... how good would you say your reflexes are?"

"Nash asked this looking around slighty*

[Tanah]

"I suppose they're okay. They've gotten me out of more than a few tight spaces when I was flying. Like at the Kessel Run." Tanah glanced around but couldn't see what Nash was trying to see.

[Nash Stolar]

"Hmm.... well your on the ground now.. by the way.. heads up.."

*Suddenly a smaller rock was flying twords tanah at a high speed.. but for nash it was a slow throw using the force.. he wanted to see if she could dodge it, if not he could heal her using the force*

[Tanah]

Without hesitation Tanah stepped to the left as the rock hurtled towards her. "That really would have hurt y'know." she accused jokingly.

[Nash Stolar]

*nash laughed and turned to face her*

"One last thing..."

*the same rock that nash threw with the force suddenly picked up speed again and flew back in nash's direction.. but to get there it had to pass tanah first..*

"Sith attack from the back too.."

[Tanah]

Tanah's eyes widened as she realized what was happening and she ducked but wasn't quite quick enough. The rock skimmed the top of her head as it flew to Nash. "ouch! I bet I have a bald strip now." Tanah said as she gently touched her head.

[Nash Stolar]

*nash fought to keep back a laugh and smiled*

"Your going to be fine, it was to slow to do much.. now I want to know.. do you have a lightsaber or have had lightsaber training already?"

[Tanah]

"Nope. I have a blaster somewhere or another but I havn't really had to use it. The only fighting I've done is at the spaceports and there's really not much to it. Just pick a target and punch."

[Nash Stolar]

"Well then you are going to have to make one so we can move on with our training, besides its getting late.."

*nash looked at the setting sun*

"Find a room in the living quarters then construct a lightsaber of your own.. once that is done we will go to the second part of training.. any questions?"

[Tanah]

"No sir." Tanah bowed and headed towards the Living Quaters to find a room...

[Tanah]

Tanah walked back onto the training grounds and spotted Nash. She walked over to him and somewhat sheepishly asked, "Master, what components are needed to build a lightsaber?"

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash grinned a little... he forgot most people did not know how to use a saber.*

"Well.. you will need..These.. (http://www.lightsaber.com/starwars/lightsaber.html)"

[Tanah]

Tanah nodded. "Thank-you Master." she seemed hesitant about something, as if debating whether or not to ask. After a moment of silence she voiced her thoughts. "Master, say there was a person and this person was really close to another person but then they had to leave for...schooling. Do you think it would be possible for the person who left to contact the other person if it was really important?"

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash nodded and smiled, somehow he was reminded of a child asking one of there parents something*

"Of course, Thats why we have all this holo technoligy besides close people should always keep close.. no matter the distance.."

[Tanah]

Tanah nodded in relief. "I just didn't know if I could. I mean I wouldn't want him to...I didn't want him to think that I didn't...um, didn't like him anymore." she blushed.

[Nash Stolar]

*This time nash held back a laugh*

"I'm sure its alright... I'm sure that he knows you still like him.."

[Tanah]

She blushed deeper. "It's not like a like-like thing. I just like him. But not that kind of like. The other kind of like. Like you can like a holovid. Not that I think of him as a holovid but...is this confusing you?"she asked Nash

[Nash Stolar]

"Not quite yet... but ya know.. they all say that and before you know it they are hand and hand walking through a garden.."

[Tanah]

Tanah stared at him in wide eyed shock. "No way! I am so not going to do that! That's just...euuuh. I'll never like guys like that."

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash could not help but chuckle this time*

"Like I said.. thats what they all say.."

[Tanah]

"All but me." Tanah ammended, "because it'd just be too weird...all that kind of stuff."

[Nash Stolar]

"I see... well is that all you wanted to know?"

[Tanah]

Tanah nodded. "I think so. At least for now. I just have to go get a few things from my ship to take to my room. Did you want to know anything?"
*that's a stupid question Tanah...what could you tell him that he doesn't already know?* she thought to herself

[Nash Stolar]

"No.. now go build you saber so we can get started with the rest of training."

[Tanah]

Tanah grinned and then nodded. "Yes Master." She bowed and then walked out of the academy towards her room.
