Araia's training..

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash walked into the training grounds.. today was an earlly day and the sun had just started to rise.. he inhaled the morning air and smiled and went to an area of the training grounds slighty farther then the rest but may have been the better ones because of being used less... nash sat ontop of a boulder and waited for his new padawan Araia to catch up with him..*

Araia walked quietly out to where Nash was sitting. she kept looking around, stunned by the beauty of the morning. Never before had she been allowed outside at this time. "It's beautifull!" she whispered to Nash.

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash was still looking at the sun rise and diden't turn to face his new padawan*

"Yes.. its times like this you are happy to be alive and free... This is what the jedi help fight to protect.. now on to the boring questions...."

*He turned to araia and smiled*

"Okay, feel free to have a seat... then answer these questions for me.. they are standerd questions, answer them truthfully..

First tell me a little about yourself...

Do you have any past force experence?

What is the force to you?

Why do you want to become a jedi?

And do you have any unique weapons or skills you want me to be aware of?

And lastly do you have any questions for me?"

[araia]

Araia smiled and sat down. " Okay well you know I was a slave...there isn't much more to that," she hurried over that part," I wasn't ever trained in the force at all but I had felt it... I just didn't know what it was at the time. The force to me is what connects all living things in the galaxy together. I want to become a jedi to help those who can't help themselves and to protect what good is left in the universe. I have no weapons but," she paused puzzled," I don't know if this counts...it's hard to explain but I run. fast. It's strange... I go into this weird sort of zone and it's like there's nothing that can stop me. And um...nope no questions." she smiled again and took a deep breath

[Nash Stolar]

*He nodded and smiled*

"Alright, good answers.. there is much potential in you.. I can sense it.. now onto training... I want you to clear your mind of any thoughts and feelings you have at the moment.. Then let the force from within you come out and flow through you like your own life... it may feel strange at first but you will get used to it and it will be a wonderful thing... once this happends tell me and we will move on.."

[araia]

araia nodded and took a calming breath. She cleared her mind and felt the familiar presence. She grinned in spit of herself. She had never felt it this strongly before. "Okay" she whispered

[Nash Stolar]

"Okay.. now I want you to allow your yourself to wonder with the force.. just let the force flow around you like air.. you should start to get an image of what is around you from the other forms of the force everything gives off... tell me what you see after this happens.."

[araia]

Araia was silent for a few moments, feeling around her. There are flowers growing behind you to the right, and there are trees to the left. Someone is walking into the training grounds..." she stopped suddenly and took a quick breath then whispered," can you hear the screaming?"

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash gave a puzzled look stood up then walked over next to her then kneelt down*

"Screaming?"

[araia]

Araia's eyes were the only sign she was frightened. " I heard screaming. So many people screaming. It...it was only for a moment."

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash looked at his padawan even closer now..*

"What kind of screams? Painful?"

[araia]

" I... I don't know. They were afraid, I could feel it and then the screaming." she shook her head," maybe I imagined it."

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash nodded then stood up*

"There is nothing we could do anyway where we are at.. Lets get back to training.."

*nash bent down and picked up a mid sized rock, he then held out his hand the rock centerd in his palm*

"Force lift is probaly the easest thing to learn with the force..
First let the force flow through you... mush like you just did.. don't have anything on your mind but the rock floating as if not effected by gravity... ask teh force for its help and you should have lifted the rock with no problem.."

[araia]

Araia nodded and took a breath. She was still shaken from the screaming but was calming down. She let the force flow through her and imagined the rock rising into the air. When she looked the rock had risen a few incches. Once again she imagined it rising,higher this time. The rock rose some more.

[Nash Stolar]

"good job now without losing concentration I want you to shoot the rock off into the trees, to do this imagine that someone has just throwen the rock as far as they could.. the force will help and the rock will shoot off, it does not matter ho far it goes"

[araia]

Araia pictured the rock being hurled forward towards the trees and felt it as she used the force to push the rock forward. The rock flew forward and landed short of the trees. "That was fun" she siled faintly.

[Nash Stolar]

"Good, now for the next thing we will bring the rock back, but first you have to find the rock.. use the force sence and find the rock, then picture the rock returning to you in your mind, once you have done this we will move on.."

[araia]

"okay." Araia used the force to enhance her sense of what was around her, as Nash had taught her. She found the rock and pictured it coming back to her. As the rock moved foreward she slowly nudged it upwards so that when it reached her she didn't need to bend down to pick it up.

[Nash Stolar]

"Great job.. normaly we would be done with the force lifting and stuff but I was wondering.. how high can you lift the stone?"

[araia]

OOC : it might take a bit for me to reply, i broke my arm yesterday so typing is slow

IC: Araia shrugged. "I don't know I never really tried. Why don't we find out?" she closed her eyes and once again used th eforce to levitate the rock and move it upward. This time she kept pushing it up. The rock was several feet above araia's head before she lost concentration and it dropped. "Well I guess that's as high as I can get it for now."

[Nash Stolar]

"Thats good, now to move on.."

*Nash walked a little then come back with two poles.. he handed one to his padawan*

"Now the force bend.. using brute force alone will not bend the pole.. that is one of the reasons we ask for the force to ade us.. To bend the pole using the force is quite easy.. let the force become the mussles in your arms, give it a little time and you should feel a change in the mussles.. then you have to think of somethig other then the metal pole.. like a piece of mesh wire... something easly to bend.. then slowly bring your arms together.."

Araia opened herself to the force and let it flow through her until she felt ready. Imagining the pole was actually a piece of wire, she began to bend it until the ends were touching each other. "I didn't know the force could be used like that!" she exclaimed.

[Nash Stolar]

"That was very good... the force can be used to do a varity of things most people can only inagine.. it comes in handy alot.."

*nash smiled*

"Now to move on.. next is force speed.. this requires a little more from you and the force.. first get in a sprint possision.. let the force become the mussles in your leg.. you should fell the change... then get a mental image of were you want to go.. Then start out in a sprint.. you should go alot faster then you would ever thought... a bit of warning tho... slow dowm before you stop..."

[araia]

Araia grinned. This was her element. She felt the familiar calmness fill her as it always did before she ran. She got ready to sprint and couldn't help but keep smiling. She stood tense, waiting. It was always like this. There would be a calmness and then she could feel it was time. And then it was. She bolted and continued to run picking up speed as she did. Araia felt herself reaching the point where she was unaware of what she was doing. She pushed herself harder in order to reach that point. Suddenly everything became clearer. She was aware of her breathing and everything that surrounded her. She pushed farther until she was running faster than she had ever ran before. She turned and began running back towards Nash, slowing as she did. When she stopped beside him her breathing was normal. Araia never found it hard to breathe even after running long distances. "I like to run" she laughed.

[Nash Stolar]

*When she returned Nash clapped slighty, smiling*

"That was the best force run I have seen in all my training of padawans.. but it seemed like you already was tought that.. are you sure you have not gone through force training in the past? or was that just something you picked up by yourself?"

[araia]

"I didn't have time to be trained...not that it would have mattered whether I had time or not. I've just always been able to run. I enjoy it...it calms me down."

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash nodded*

"Alright... I want you to run again, this time go as fast as you can and only stop when you think you have gone far enough.. "

[araia]

"I can never run far enough." Her eyes were distant as if she was elsewhere. Just as quickly she snapped back into the present. Araia once again calmed herself and waited, tense. When she felt the moment right she broke into a run again. Pushing until she felt she couldn't and then past it she entered her alerted running state. *concentrate araia* she thought to herself as she built up more speed.
*hot. It's hot and dusty, The streets are crowded but you have to get out. faster, go faster. they're cming to get you, go faster!* she snapped back from her daydream just in time to swerve from a near collision with a tree. She wanted to keep going but knew that with the speed at which she was running she was probably far enough. She turned around and began to run back. She had gone faster than she had ever gone before and it excited her. *don't forget to stop* she told herself as she neared Nash.

[Nash Stolar]

*nash clapped again and smiled*

"That is very good, I want to see how fast you can go when you are a knight.. Now to the force jump. get into a posture like you are about to jump.. but let the force become the mussles in your legs They should become a like of spring now a padawan can jump a max of 50 feet, A knight 100 and Master 100+ So I wont expect you to go higher then 50 feet, once you feel the force has become strong enough in your legs jump up.. Like I said your legs would be a kind of spring then so you should absorb the shock of the landing.. if you feel something is wrong yell and I will catch you.."

[araia]

Araia crouched in a jumoing position and felt the force enter her. When she felt ready she jumped, pushing off the ground as hard as she could. She flew up and was mildly surprised by the sensation. *this is cool...* as she neared the ground Araia readied herself to land. She used to force to absorb most of the shock so that it felt as if she hadn' fallen from a high distance at all. "Now that was cool!"

[Nash Stolar]

*nash smiled and nodded, he started to look at the ground slighty*

"Good... now we are done with the basic force moves... but a question... how good to you think your reflexes are?"

[araia]

"They're fairly good. More so when I'm running. Why?"she asked.

[Nash Stolar]

*nash side-steped and a small rock few at araia from behind him, it was on a corse right to her*

"Sith attack in diffrent ways"

[araia]

Araia ducked before she knew what she was doing. Now she was alert, waiting to see if Nash would shoot anymore objects her way. "Just wait, one day I'm going to do that to you when you least expect it!" she joked

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash laughed and smiled*

"Is that so?"

*Using the same rock nash make it stop then head for him.. at a faster speed.. but its path layed right through araia*

"Remember.. sith attack from the back also."

[araia]

Araia ducked again as the rock flew towards the back of her. "that was cheap...it was...," she paused," It was exactly what a Sith would do isn't it?

*Nash shook his head slighty and cought the rock with a quick move*

"A sith would fill you full of blaster bolts when you are not looking.. the sell whats left to some odd thing.."

Araia looked at him horrified. "Who would BUY it?" she asked, shocked.

"Trust me.... you will be supprised to know.. bsides what they do is not worth telling.."

"Is that the Jedi version of 'I'll tell you when you're older'" Araia asked Nash suspiciously.

[Nash Stolar]

"Well.... yes.. that is if you really want to know..."

[araia]

Araia shook her head quickly. "That's okay. This is one of those times when I'm glad I'm too young to know."

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash laughed*

"So do you have any weapons or light saber training?"

[araia]

Araia shook her head. "I don't have any weapons but Whenever we had time, the others in the house and I would pole fight. The materials weren't very high tech but it taught us balance and defensive and agressive fighting positions."

[Nash Stolar]

"Okay. Do you think you could use a Light saber with the skill you have from using the poles?"

[araia]

Araia nodded after a moments thought. " I think so. But I've never seen a lightsaber so I'm not sure."

[Nash Stolar]

Hmm...

*nash brought out his saber and handed it to araia*

Have the open end not be facing you then press the small green button on the side..

[araia]

Araia double checked to see if the open end was indeed pointing away from both herself and Nash. She then pushed the button on the side as he had instructed. She gave a small start of surprise as the green blade of light extended from the end. She moved her wrist to the side a few times to get used to the weight and listened to the steady hum of the weapon. She looked at Nash. "So this is a lightsaber...very cool."

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash smiled*

"Indeed it is... now before we can move to saber training I want you go get a room in the quaters and construct a saber.. when you finish come back here.."

*nash got up and handed her a list of what she would need*

Araia switched off the lightsaber and handed it back to Nash. She scanned the list and then put it in her pocket for later use. She nodded. "Yes Master. I'll go right away." she bowed slightly and then made her way out of the training grounds to find a room.
