Tom looked at the light saber pieces on the table. They varied in shapes and sizes. Big plates, small plates, however most of this isn't what he wanted.

Tom sighed and walked to the repulsor lift. As it descended down he began to think about Karyanna. She had been left on Berchest as he was brought here. If only he could see her...

The door opened as he walked into the trash room.

"Time to get dirty!"

Tom jumped into the piles looking for what he needed in the mounds of trash.

Tom emereged from the pile with some parts of an old food processor, some droid pieces, engine pieces from an old speeder bike, and a burnt out blaster. Tom smiled and droped em in a bin. His finds would help him greatly. Next stop was the library.

He walks into the Lift with the bin clinking and clanking. A protocol droid look at the materials and preformed the droid equivilent of a scoff. This reminded him how much he hated prissy protocol droids. He much prefered Astromechs. They didnt talk. He chuckled to himself as he reached the archives.

After an hour of loading the bin with tapes on blaster technology, turbolater physics, superconductor physics, and things of that nature Tom grined. He could now start to constuct the blade of a Jedi. His own.

After a week of sanding, cutting, polishing and testing the parts he chose lay out on the table. A small bag with 3 crystals, a powercell, a power regulator from a blaster, a D-Ring, and several other pieces, as well as the outer casing for the saber. He untied the packet and felt the gems. A blue one, a green one, and a turquoise. They were faceted beautifully and fit into the lens. He had worked the lens in a triangular shape to hold the 3 gems.

He took half of the casing and began to meld it together using a microtorch. Then he began to weld the power cell, super conductor and the focusing lens into place. He connected the wires to the actuator and the power regulators. He had designed the saber to use the 3 gems and the blast regulator to vary the sabers length and thickness quickly in battle.

He sighed as his thumb hovered over the actuator switch as the pressure from his hand keep the caing over the saber. He depressed the rectangular button and...

Nothing.

After a mouthfull of cursed Tom began to work on the saber more.

"hmmm.... soooo... if the pink wire goes in the green port, and the blue in the pink.... green in blue?"

Tom sat hunched over the power cell, supercoductor, and the focusing lens. The Saber wanst igniting. And since it was not, the power was the problem. The wires resotored into place, tom attached the cover plate. His thumb again hovered over the actuator. It would either work or explode now.

he depressed it and...

A snaphiss fills the workroom as the teal blade appears. Tom exclaimed for joy. He reached and turned the blade controls, but they didnt work. Tom Cursed and sighed.

"Cant win em all.... rasm frasm..."

"Hehehehehehehehehe...."

The blade shortened and lengthed, widened and thinned. Tom Grined as he finished wiring and started welding the plates together. The polished metal cylinder hung from his belt. 5 weeks, a new record he figured. He grinned and ran off to his mistress.
