Training of Salemn Lysce

[Nash Stolar]

*nash walked into an empty part of the training grounds..and looked around a little..The area was a large field with a few trees and random placed boulders.." perfect" ..after looking at what he had to work with he sat down on a small boulder and waited for his new padawan to show*

Salemn followed Nash to a field and looked around, wondering what they would do here. She saw him sit down on a small boulder and stood infront of it, looking up at him.

What will we do here, Sir?

[Nash Stolar]

*he laughed slighty*

"What else? Were going to mow the grass with only the force..*he smiled slighty* actualy were going to start training here.. but first I want to ask you a few questions then we get started...

After you finish training what are you going to do as a jedi?

What do you know of the light and darkside of teh force?

And the last one.. Do you already know any force moves or have any unique abilitys, weapons, ect?"

[Salemn Lysce]

She smiled a bit at his comment about mowing the grass with the Force. She knew it was only a joke, but wondered if it was ever done before.

I do not know what I will do as a Jedi when I finish my training. It's not always good to plan out your future because dreams can easily be shattered like glass, so the Lightside guides my destiny.

The Darkside of the Force was meant for those who dwell only on their own self-satisfaction and greed. They kill innocents and torture others for no reason, calling it revenge. The Lightside of the Force is used by those who protect the innocent and the weak, and for those who believe in justice and peace. Or at least, that's what I believe.

It's obvious I can speak through the Force, having to learn to do so in order to communicate easier. I can also move little objects with the Force, like a pebble or a sheet of paper and so on, but that's all.

"Those are very good answers, Salemn.. To tell the truth I'm impressed... having to go through life only using the force to talk...."

*nash thought about her last answer then spoke again*

"You can lift small things, right? well then I would like to see this... there are enough pebbles around.. just pick one out and lift it as high as you can.."

Salemn nodded her head and looked at the ground, searching for a pebble. Spotting one, she started to concentrate. Using the Force, she watched as the pebble lifted up into the air a couple inches then paused in mid-air. Frowning, Salemn concentrated harder, wanting to do better. The pebble shakily rose up to about to her waistline then fell back down to the ground with a plop. She looked back at Nash, waiting for his response.

[Nash Stolar]

"Well done.... but I want you to try again with a pebble that is a little farther away and bring it to yourself.. concentrate on it moving and let the force move through you.. ask for its help then picture the pebble coming into your hand.."

*nash slid off the boulder then walked to salemn.. he looked down at her then grined... he looked back up at the boulder he was sitting on and his face went emotionless*

"I know it sounds strange at first... but one you get the feel of it...

*he raised his palm to the boulder then he started to move his hand higher.... the boulder was now following the movements of his hand... floating off the ground and getting slighty higher by the moments..*

...you get to do this.... the force is a gift.. not everyone is able to use it... but somehow everying has it or some of it...

*suddenly he closed his palm making a fist and the boulder shot off into the trees taking a few down*

.... the gift can also be abused.... like the sith have showed.."

Salemn watched Nash in awe as he did his demonstration with the boulder. She couldn't wait until she would be able to do that and looked at the ground for another pebble. Finally she found one that was further away than the previous pebble and concentrated on it. Holding out her hand, she pictured the pebble landing in her palm. She was doing as Nash instructed - and asked the Force for its help.

So intent on this, she was a bit startled to suddenly feel a small weight in her hand. She looked at the pebble in her palm and smiled a bit, then looked back up at Nash.

"Great job, salemn."

*nash started to walk around looking at the ground for the next thing he was going to use... after a little while nash came back to salem with a slighty dented pole from the last people that have trained in the area in his hands*

"Now the next thing thing is force strength.... I'm sure you are strong but if you were to just try to bend the pole with your hands alone it wont work.... thats why we let the force do all the hard work for us."

*he laughed then handed salemn the pole waiting for her to take it*

"Really now... use the force to help bend the pole.. about the same thing applys here also....Let the force flow though you and picture the pole bending in your mind..."

Salemn flashed a smile at Nash. She could easily do this. Whenever she was angry or greatly disappointed, she used to take it out on an object to make her feel slightly better. She took the pole and concentrated on it, letting the Force flow through her body and into the pole. A loud, crunching metal sound could be heard as the pole started to bend. It continued to bend then stopped. Salemn looked puzzled and peered closely at the pole. Minutes passed and nothing happened. Suddenly, the pole snapped, making her fall down in surprise. She got up, holding the two pole pieces, turning pink. Nash could hear a voice inside his mind.

Is this okay? I'm sorry I broke the pole...I didn't mean too....honest...

OOC: Just to let you know, I won't be posting too much lately. Alot has been going on IRL: school, parents, etc. Sorry for all the trouble this has probably caused.

*Nash blinked once or twise is supprise as she was able to snap the pole, none of his padawans were able to.. But he smiled and nodded*

"Thats just fine, none of my padawans have been able to do that.. now lets move on."

*He set the poles down and looked at his padawan*

"Next is force run.. This one is harder then the rest becuase it demands force and physical abilitys But I don't doubt that you already have thses skills so it might be easer.. Get ina running stance, let the force become your legs and feet and start to get an idea of where you want to go... Once you feel like your legs have suddenly became charged, start in a slow run the speed up, soon you sound notice you are running faster then you ever have.. just remember it takes longer to stop then a normal run.."

Salemn nodded at Nash and got into a running stance. She closed her eyes, feeling the Force run through her body like electricity. She decided to run about 1/4 a mile, not wanting to push it. As soon as she felt ready, she opened her eyes and started to jog. As time went on she started to go faster, then a bit faster. She breathed in deeply, loving this part of training. She always liked to run; feeling the cool, fresh air whip against her. When she thought that she had done enough, she started to slow down. The only thing was, however, that she could still feel her legs going running fast.

Frowning, Salemn concentrated on letting go of the Force and slowing down. Gradually she started slowing down then finally stopped.

Good, now I want you to come back.. but there is a twist, run back as fast as you can using the force.. and stop right next to me..

*Nash grinned, knowing this was probaly impossible for a padawan who just learned the force run to do but he wanted to see if she actualy could.. and it make good practice if they had to do it in a real situation..*

Salemn grinned secretly at herself. Nash probably didn't know it, but there was a loophole she could go by.

Alright, I'll try my best...

She concentrated on the Force again, feeling it rush through her body. She burst out in a full run, using the Force to propell her. Once more she savored the rush of the wind against her skin. She could see Nash's figure get closer and closer and decided it was time. She concentrated on a Force wall; a soft one, that is. She imagined it right by Nash and started to slow down. However, she couldn't stop and she was prepared, knowing that was why she created the wall. She rammed into it and bounced slightly back, right by Nash.

[Nash Stolar]

"Good but you are off.."

*Nash noticed Salemn looked supprised, and he grinned and lifted his hand right infront of her*

"See.. you were to stop here where my hand is and stay.. not bounce off backwords.."

*He put his hand down and smirked*

"But that alright for a first try.. Now before we go on.. are you afrade of heights?"

Salemn frowned at herself for a second or two then looked at him.

No, I don't think so... Why?

[Nash Stolar]

"Lets just say I helped someone get over it for a little bit.... But Okay now force jump.. a padawan can jump a max of 50, knights 100 and masters 100+ thats basicly how it goes.. First off you must clear your mind.. nothing must get in your way or you will mess up.. let the force become the mussles in your legs, they should become spring of some sorts.. when you feel like you are ready. The force will help you jump up.. Its alot easer then it sounds.. and don't worry about landing.... the force will help absorb teh shock of landing.. but if you feel something is wrong just say so and I will catch you on your way down.. Okay? take a shot at it when you are ready.."

She thought over carefully what Nash told her. Taking a deep breath, Salemn cleared her mind and let the Force run through her legs. When she felt ready, Salemn jumped up. Looking down, she realized that she must've jumped up about a max of 30. Her eyes widened as panic suddenly seized her. Screams could be heard in her mind. "Salemn..! Salemn, don't let go of my hand! Please, save me!"

She lost her concentration on the Force and started to fall down. Horrified, she opened her mouth in a silent scream.

*Nash watches as salemn fell, already he could tell she messed up by the way she was falling.*

Thought I told her to keep her mind cleared.

*By now she was dangerously close to the ground and nash had not moved.. A recovery from that close was by far impossible now..*

"5...4...3...2....

*Right before salemn hit the ground she was cought by a black streak.. nash had used force speed and cought her the second before she hit the ground.. just for the drama of waiting for the last moment.. He stoped not far from where they had been training..*

Alyways wanted to try that.

"I thought I told you to keep your mind clear, salemn."

[Salemn Lysce]

When Salemn continued to fall, she thought she was done for. Regretfully, she closed her eyes. Why hadn't she kept her mind clear? Suddenly, instead of feeling the painful impact from the ground, she felt herself being caught and put down on the ground. Opening her eyes slowly, she saw Nash standing before her.

I'm sorry...I don't know what happened...

[Nash Stolar]

*Nash shook his head and smiled*

"Its alright, first times are never the best.. I guess you don't want to try that again?"

[Salemn Lysce]

She shook her head vigoriously.

No, Sir, I don't.

[Nash Stolar]

"Alright, Understandable.. that does it for basic force moves.. now do you already have a saber?"

[Salemn Lysce]

I'm afraid not...

[Nash Stolar]

"Okay, its alright.. Before we coninue to the saber basics you will need a saber.. First I want you to get a room in the living quarters, once you settle in start to build your saber, when you fisish tell me and we will go to saber basics.."

*He handed her a list of what she was going to need*

"Have fun.."

Salemn took the list Nash handed her and studied it closely.

Alright, I'll gather these items and construct my own lightsaber.
