Thomas Duo: Training.

[Jedi Knight Amnde]

*Amalia entered the Academy, Thomas Duo following shortly behind her. Thomas Duo would be Amalia's first student at the Academy. She had trained students at many other places, but never at GJO before. So everything was very new to her, though she did know what she was doing. The two jedi walked down the hall until they reached a vacent training room. Amalia stepped aside to let her padawan go in first.*

"Once inside, training begins."

*She smiled and motioned for him to go in.*

[tomduo]

Bows.

"Mistress first."

OOC: Sorry, just I live near NYC and know people who worked there, and my dad was supposed to be there, but didnt go.

[Jedi Knight Amnde]

*She nods and willingly walks in first. She waits for Thomas to enter and after he does, she speaks.*

"Tell me, Thomas, why is it that you wish to become a Jedi?"

[tomduo]

"Because I can. And Ive seen alot in my life and I crave balance. And I feel if you dont help, what are you doing."

Smiles.

"So whats the first lesson?"

[Jedi Amnde]

"Anxious to begin.."

*She smiled.*

"Soon, but first, a few more questions. What do you know of the force and can you recite The Jedi Code for me please?"

[tomduo]

"The force extend within and around everything, living and not. It balances and keeps the Galaxy together. How the user uses the force shows their soul."

"There is no emotion, there is peace. There is no ignorance, there is knowledge. There is no passion, there is serenity. There is no chaos, there is harmony. There is no death... there is the Force."

Sighs.

[Jedi Knight Amnde]

*She laughed at his sigh.*

"Almost done, one more question and then we shall move onto the good stuff."

*She winked at him.*

"What do you know of the Sith and in particular, the darkside of the force?"

[tomduo]

"Anyone who doesnt have patience or searches to hurt others... are cowards."

"Whats so funny?"

[Jedi Knight Amnde]

*She noticed that he didn't directly answer her question. She crossed her arms, studying him.*

"You are very curious..."

*she smiled lopsidedly and uncrossed her arms.*

"You did not answer my question..what you gave me was an opinion of something, I asked you what you knew of the Sith and of the darkside..."

[tomduo]

"Um... ok"

Coughs.

"The Dark Side would be the cowards who seek only Pain and suffering, by doing so they Damn themselves."

Pauses.

"but the Darkside is just as strong as the light.... however I dont believe that all of the Jedi in the galaxy can be divided this way..."

[Jedi Knight Amnde]

*Amalia's left eyebrow rose slightly, she looked at him quizzicly. She sighed slightly to herself and then proceeded to answer the question that Thomas just for some reason could not find the right answer Amalia was looking for.*

"The Sith, those who are of the darkside of the force, they seek revenge, power. They are greedy, and rely solely on their strength, power, anger and hate when they call upon the force. That is what helps them to draw upon the force."

[tomduo]

"Yes, but not all Dark jedi are Sith...."

Smiles

[Jedi Knight Amnde]

"You misunderstood my words, Thomas, I was not implying that Sith were the only users of the darkside. However, you are correct, Dark Jedi use the darkside of the force as well. Can you think of any other users who use the darkside of the force?"

[tomduo]

"Some Orders of Jensaari.... con artists.... general predators on the inncoent."

Bows.

"Sorry If I seemed obstinent."

[Jedi Knight Amnde]

*Amalia just smiled.*

"Ready to go outside into the gardens then? There is where we shall begin your training."

[tomduo]

Bows.

"Very well."

Walks along with her to the garden.

[Jedi Knight Amnde]

*They now stood in the middle of the garden, just outside of GJO Amalia turned to Thomas.*

"Tell me, Thomas, have you ever experienced the force. Used it or felt it?"

[tomduo]

"Um... something before..... nothing much...."

[Jedi Knight Amnde]

"I see.."

*She picked up a pebble off of the ground, placed it in her left palm.*

"The force can be used to lift objects, such as this pebble. We shall now test your force abilities. See if you can lift this rock by aid of the force."

[tomduo]

*closes his eyes*

"..."

Tom reached out.... but the peeble didnt move.

"...."

ooc: Training is not something that should be rushed and sometimes, well, most of the time, can take up at least 2 to 3 months of work. It's not something done over night. I really do not know what you are expecting but there is nothing wrong with the reply I made previous to yours. If there is something you do not understand, please let me know, but we will not be speeding anything up, training is not to be rushed, and it shows a great deal of lack of patience on your part.

ic: *The pebble remained in Amalia's hand.*

"Clear your mind and concentrate solely on the rock, nothing more. Reach out with the force and grasp onto the rock with it, and then lift the rock."

ic: Closes his eyes again and feels.

*Amalia watched Thomas quietly as he concentrated.*

"Good, now lift the rock.."

[tomduo]

The rock hovers slightly as its spins around slightly.

"I can see.... it.... but is it?"

[Jedi Knight Amnde]

*The rock only quivered in her hand.*

"Almost but not quite..Yes, one can learn to use the force but if their are ever any doubts in ones mind, it causes for a conflict to arise, making that particular task at hand, much more difficult to do. Believe in it, Thomas, and believe in yourself. Lift the rock higher."

[tomduo]

he relaxes his body as the rock rasies up slightly more hovers then moves up more.

ic: *She watched as he slowly lowered the rock back down toward the palm of her hand.*

"Good, now tell me, could you feel the force at work as you lifted the rock?"

ooc: Ouch.... well I dont like to type that much, but for story purposes I guesss I will. mistress :p

"It... it felt like tendrils.... threads... and wow...."

His body shook from his breathing as his shoulders moved up and down. His face slightly red from the use of a part of his spirit he never used. He looked at Amnde quizzically.

"Is it always like that?"

[Jedi Amnde]

ooc: Thank You ever so kindly.:) Looks more detailed now.

ic: "The force is not something to be taken lightly. It will take some time of getting used to. But it will not always feel the same, their are many different aspects to the force, and so no, you won't always feel the same."

[tomduo]

Narrowed his eyes in anticipation, but inhaled deeply.

"Well.... Is there more to do today or do we rest for the day?"

The look on his face was more in favor of the first.

*She laughed good naturedly.*

"There is much more to do today, now you have a feel for the force and now you must learn to use it, have a firmer graps for it."

*She pointed to a medium sized boulder.*

"Can you lift that?"

[tomduo]

His eyes widened, his brow became moist.

"I could barely move the peeble... can I move that?"

[tomduo]

HEY LADY!

[Jedi Amnde]

*Amalia looked at Thomas sternly, and not at all pleased.*

"A simple yes or no will do, Thomas. Now I will ask you again, can you lift the rock or not?"

*She noted that she would have to teach her padawan a thing or two about respect.*

ooc: sorry, as you can see, I haven't replied to anything at GJO this week. I'm not ignoring you, I've been rather busy offline, I'm sorry.

Ic: "Well its just...."

"Apologies...."

Holds out hishand tryng to lift the rock, but his demeaner is very tense,

"Alright, this won't work, you're tense. Have you ever heard of meditation, Thomas? I ask because I would like you to do it."

ooc: it's alright.

[tomduo]

"I have... long ago."

Tom closed his eyes. he began breathing in intervals, in through his nose, hold, then out through his mouth. He then extended his hand andcontinued to breathe. He bagan to see somthing far off. He reached out in his mind and began to tug it gently.

[Jedi Amnde]

"Good, you have found what you are looking for, you feel it, reach out further and lift the object."

[tomduo]

Tom pulled it more as the rock began lift up. He began to smile

[Amalia Azalin]

*Amalia smiled too.*

"Good, now keep concentrating, see if you can spin the rock."

[tomduo]

The rock dipped, raised up, and then began to spin around slowly.

[Amalia Azalin]

"Good, you may place it back down on the ground. Tell me, what did you feel as you used the force?"

[tomduo]

The rock slowly falls.

"It was like... a thing inside of me. Something told me to pull it, when I did.... just... I saw things..."

Somewhat smiles to himself and he plops down on the ground, dust encircling him. He leaned back on his forearms looking up into the sky.

[Amalia Azalin]

Amalia sat down beside him.

"Tell me about yourself, Thomas."

[tomduo]

"About what?"

Breathed heavily as he grabbed a small canteen and began to drink from it.

[Amalia Azalin]

"About you in gerneral, your family, your background."

[tomduo]

"O, that."

He smiled nervously.

"Well I.... I wass born in the Corelian Sect on Berchest... raised on Corelia for a while... my father was an..... he was a engineer..."

"And he and my mother both died. I was raised by a Calamari, and came here as soon as I could."

[Amalia Azalin]

*She nided her head sadly.*

"I'm sorry to hear about you parents. Do you have any brothers or sisters? Or any other relatives?"

[tomduo]

"I have no Idea. I know I dont have siblings..."

Looks sad.

"The name Thomas Duo isnt even my real name... but it is what I am using now,"

[Amalia Azalin]

*Amalia looked sad as well.*

"You look like a Thomas.."

*She said jokingly trying to change the mood into a more happier one.*

"Are you rested up now?"

[tomduo]

"Yeah..."

Stands up.

"Just running away I guess..."

He leans back and stretches.

"What now?"

[Amalia Azalin]

"Well, we will work on your force sense now, I suppose."

*She cleared her mind of all thoughts.*

"I would like you to see if you can tap into my mind and see if you can sense what it is I am thinking of."

*She thought only of one thing, a saber, her saber to be exact. She waited for Thomas to sense this from her.*

[tomduo]

"...."

He closed his eyes and searched, reacing out into the force.

"A CAN OF SULLSTIAN BEATS!"

Tom smiles.

[Amalia Azalin]

She laughed.

"Very funny smart guy. Now tell me, what do you really sense?"

[tomduo]

"Thats what I really saw...."

Closes his eyes and focuses.

"Welll it still metal and cylindrical..."

[Amalia Azalin]

"What is it?"

*Soon they would come to the fun part of training.*

[tomduo]

"Looks kinda like a hydrospanner... but ur a woman... so..."

Tom gets more of an mental image.

"....."

"Ur saber?... not evry challenging mistress."

[Amalia Azalin]

*She smiled coolly.*

"No, it was not meant as a challenge, just a test of skill. It lets me know something of your force sense. Now we shall work on your mental sensory. As you know, all Jedi end up in some type of battle. There will be a time where your oppenent will reach out into your mind, and find what disturbs you and troubles you, you must learn to close your mind off to the force if and when such a thing occurs. And so, I want you to think of something, and object, then tell me when you have done so and we will continue."

[tomduo]

Thinks of a small cup.

"Ok... done."

[Amalia Azalin]

"Good."

*She opened up her own mind to the force and reached out to touch his own mind.*

"Now I am going to try and reach inside your mind, see what it is you are thinking of. What I want you to do is to stop me me from doing so. You should be able to feel my own force presence proding into your mind, I want you to fight against it with your own force presence, though slowly and not all in one swift motion, gradually push my force presence out of your mind. If done correctly, you will accomplish the task of what is known as blocking your force presence."

[tomduo]

Feels her prod.

"... but how?..."

[Amalia Azalin]

"If you have found my force signature you can easily stop it from proding deeper into your mind by pushing it, in a sense, fighting with it, pushing it out and away form your mind."

[tomduo]

Feels her prod again. He began to search himself and find the spot. His brow tightened as he began to pull the spot in an attempt to stop her.

[Amalia Azalin]

*She felt him pushing her away.*

"Be relaxed and don't lessen your hold, push my force presence away more."

[tomduo]

He tried to lossen up, but broke his concentration.

"... can I try again?"

He was breathing heavily.

[Amalia Azalin]

*She smiled softly*

"Not try...do. Relax."

[tomduo]

"O yeah... gotta work on my wording...."

Tom closed his eyes as he felt Amalia push and probe into his mind. he began to push her out with his mind, tugging on the force.

[Amalia Azalin]

"Very good, now let's make it a little more difficult, shall we?"

*She proded back into his mind, though a little stronger this time, making him work that much harder to push her force presence out and away from his mind.*

[tomduo]

Tom began to clench his fist and resist. His mouth opened slightly as he began to breathe more.

[Amalia Azalin]

"Concentrate....and relax...."

[tomduo]

He sighed and relaxed hile continuing to push.

((Maybe I should just quit...))

[Amalia Azalin]

You'll never get anywhere in life if you quit all the time.

*She smiled and stoped proding his mind.*

"Come, we shall now go back inside to do more of your training, back into the training room."

[tomduo]

"Is that kinda wrong to be reading my mind with out permission?"

[Amalia Azalin]

*Her smile widened a bit more.*

If you did not wish for me to read your mind, you would have closed your thoughts to me, true?

*Her smile grew thin.*

I meant no harm, however, if it bothers you, I will ignore your thoughts, if that is what you desire.

ooc: If you want a thought to remain closed only to yourself, type something such as...Thomas thought to himself or...Thomas thought to himself, blocking his thoughts from Amalia Just some examples, I'm sorry if I did something wrong.:/ Though it is not a common thing for a Master and an Apprentice to block thoughts from one another, being as through training they should or usually grow close, or they have a tight bond so to speak. Understand?

"... and how do you close your thougts?"

ic: 'What do you mean..Still... thats not necessarily using your powers for truth is it?..be more specific, what do you mean by that?"

*She paused.*

"Well, it's rather difficult to explain but I'll try. It's just how we practiced, you know how I reached out to your mind, and you pushed my force presence back. Well, it's a lot like that, only you put a force block in your mind, for those you don't wish to have hear your thoughts. You reach out for my presence, identify it, and then block it from your mind."

*She frowned.*

"I hope you won't try such a thing with me, Thomas."

[tomduo]

"But still u read my thoughts without me allowing you to.... isnt that wrong?"

[Amalia Azalin]

*She corssed her arms.*

"You did not say that I couldn't. I mean no harm by reading your thoughts, and it is important that I read your thoughts, because I am your Master. I am here only to help you, not harm you."

[tomduo]

He narrowed his eyes at her.

"I dont like people going in there when they shouldnt be, Mistress or no..."

Tom sat down on the ground and sighed.

"What is next....?"

[Amalia Azalin]

You're very defiant..


"Next I will teach more mind control. There are many weak minded people in this world, and you must learn how to deal with them..."

*A servant walked into the room, placing a few weapons upon the table.*

Take that servant for instance, he is weak minded. You can reach into his mind, manipulate his mind because he is weak minded. You can get him to perform any number of tasks or actons...

[tomduo]

"... um..."

Tom looks at Amalia quizzically.

"Are you ok?"

[Amalia Azalin]

*Amalia noted the servant holding a pitcher of water in his hands. She smiled as he offered her some water in a glass.*

Servant: "Would you like some water?"

Amalia: "No, Thank You though. but perhaps you would like some water?"

Servant: "No Thank You, I am not thirsty."

*Amalia smiled and nonchalantly waved her hand in front of her, while tapping into the servant's mind.*

Amalia: "You are thirsty, aren't you?"

Servant: "Yes, I am thirsty, I will have some water."

*The servant poured himself some water.*

*Amalia turned to Thomas.*

Now it is your turn..

He could feel what Amailia was doing. He closed his eyes. He reached out into the mind, but somehow he felt what he was doing was wrong.

((.....drop the glass...))

[Amalia Azalin]

ic: *The servant dropped the glass. He seemed nervous after it happened and apologized for it. Amalia simply reassured him that it was alright and she then turned and noded to Thomas.*

Good, keep in mind that this was only practice and you may not to this on just sure whim, only when the need to do so arises, to get out of troubled situations.

Tom sighed.

"I still do not like it."

He sat up and stretched his arms. his back and cracked as he yawned.

[Amalia Azalin]

"No one said you had to, if you do not wish to use it, you don't have to, it is only a teaching."

*She studied him for a moment and then smiled, noting what a handful he was, but he was his own person, and she liked that.*

"Are you ready to continue, to learn of what more I have to teach you?"

[tomduo]

"Always willing and able."

Tom smiled slightly.

[Amalia Azalin]

"Good, now you shall learn what is known as force jump. To do force jump you must allow the force to first flow freely throughout your entire body. Once you have done this, you must guide the force down into your legs. This will allow you, once you jump, to be able to jump higher than most jump, above normal height. Do as I ask, and remember, concentration is the key."

[tomduo]

"O boy.... here now?... alright...."

He bent over in a jumping position and began to focus, he tugged on the "force spot" and began to push it to his legs. He then leaped in the air... high, but could not control himself as he fell and landed hard on his rear.

"Ow."

[Amalia Azalin]

ooc: better.

ic: *Amalia smiled and shook her head.*

"I always forget to tell my padawans to be careful on thier landing. Are you alright?"

[tomduo]

Looks embarassed.

"Well that sucked.... yeah."

Slowly gets up, rubbing his butt.

"Ow. Must learn to land."

[Amalia Azalin]

"Do it again, but this time when you go to land, brace yourself for the fall."

[tomduo]

"duh."

He smiled and leapt again, this time uneasily landing on his feet, and falling yet again.

"ggrrrr..."

[Amalia Azalin]

"At first you don't suceeed, try and try again..."

[tomduo]

"You are a bitter... cruel woman..."

Sighs and leap again, almost landing perfect, but falling none the less.

"Ow..."

He leaps another time this time landing perfectly(well he stumbled a bit)

"Did I do it?"

[Amalia Azalin]

*She laughed.*

"Bitter and cruel, you don't know me too well I would say."

*She knew he was kidding of course.*

"Much better this time, practicing more only helps you to do better. Now you may rest if you'd like and then I will teach you Force Speed."

[tomduo]

Grabs a glass of water.

"Just a joke... dont Jedi have humor? If you cant laugh at yourself, laugh at someone else."

[Amalia Azalin]

*She crossed her arms and laughed slightly, and then smiled.*

"You amuse me, Thomas. I shall explain to you Force Speed and then you can do it after you have finished with your rest. Force Speed is done just as Force Jump is done. You must bring the force down into your legs as you begin to run. If done correctly, this will allow you to run at a very fast pace, much faster than the human eye can see. Though i warn you to be careful and focus on where you are going at all times."

[tomduo]

"Thank yees... I try."

Gets in a running position.

"...."

He begins to run gradually gaining speed.

[Amalia Azalin]

*She watches him carefully.*

"Careful, pace yourself. this is your first time at this and you need to be extra careful."

[tomduo]

"huh?"

*BAM!*

Runs into a tree(or colum if we are indoors) and falls back.

[Amalia Azalin]

*Amalia shook her head and set off on her own skill of force speed, carefully stopping just inches away from the tree. She bent down to check on Thomas.*

"Are you alright, Thomas?"

[tomduo]

"...tommy isnt here right now.... leave a message as he will slowly regain consciousness...."

[Amalia Azalin]

"If Tommy wakes up soon, he can have the rest of the day off and return tomorrow to continue his training."

[tomduo]

Lil birdies fly around.

Blink

Blink blink.

"....hiiiiiiiii..... ugh...."

[Amalia Azalin]

"I thought so...welcome back. You may have the rest of the day off. See you tomorrow."

[tomduo]

"...ok lady..."

passes out.

[Amalia Azalin]

Next day...

*Amalia waits for Thomas. At her feet sit a pile of rocks. Today would be a working day for Thomas.*

[tomduo]

Walks in slowly and bows.

"Good morning Mistress."

[Amalia Azalin]

*Amalia bowed back.*

"Good morning to you as well, Thomas."

*She smiled.*

"Today you will learn to do force pull and force push."

ooc: I should have done this part of training before, but I didn't, so we shall do it now.

ic: 'Which would you like to learn first?"

[tomduo]

"...ill go with pullin...."

He smiles and removes the heavy black robe from his shoulders.

[Amalia Azalin]

"Alright."

*She lifted a medium sized rock via the force and set it a few away from Thomas upon the ground.*

"Force pull, is just what it sounds like, to pull. I want you to reach out with the force and reach out for that rock, pulling it backwards."

[tomduo]

"mmmk."

He extended his arm pointing at the rock. He bowed his head down and closed his eyes. Relaxtation kicked in as the force swirled around him. He tugged slightly as the rock began to move toward him, scraping along the ground. Beads of sweat formed along his brow.

[Amalia Azalin]

"Good, now levitate the rock while pulling it toward you."

[tomduo]

he swallowed hard and began to push it up. he began to strain as it wavered in the air and continued toward him. About a foot near him it stops and falls to the ground.

"...heh.... how.... heh... was.... that?"

[Amalia Azalin]

"Good, you just need to work on your control. We won't do that now, I'd like you to practice this on your own time. No for Force Push. Force Push is done in the opposite manner. Now you must focus moving the rock forward, hence, pushing it, just on the ground this time though. Remember, concentration is the key."

[tomduo]

Easily pushes it against the ground.

"I got the pushing and pulling part down. Its the Levitating thng i got problems with. Help?"

[Amalia Azalin]

"I see, it is not always easy to do more than one task at once. To levitate and then to do push or pull at the same time. It requires a deeper concentration and focus. Once you have the push or pull down, then you lift. Envision in your mind, just as always. Lift only a little if you wish, not so high. You can work on lifting higher once you get the hang of it."

[tomduo]

"Okiday."

Yawns and cracks his neck.

"...so what else then mistress?"

OOC: The construction of your lightsaber is what is next, but it is not a very easy post for me to write out, I never found explaining the building of lightsabers easy, I have trouble doing it myself in my own posts with other aliases of mine.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/smile.gif ALT=":)">

I'm not ignoring you, I just need a little time, I want my post to be nice and not something sloppy and I want to be sure you understand it as well before you begin the process of buidling a saber for yourself. ic: *Amalia stood inside Thomas' training room. She stood before a table in the middle of the training room. She was removing various objects from within a brown pack. Carefully, yet slowly she placed each item upon the table. The items consisted of; a power cell, a handgrip, an activation plate or stud, a safety switch, a blade-length adjuster, an emitter matrix, and recharge socket, a lens assembly, at least one focusing crystal, a power conduit, and an optional belt ring. Amalia, being a Jedi Master, and having experience in constructing lightsabers, it would only take her a span of a few days to build a lightsaber. But for someone like Thomas, who had never constructed a lightsaber, it would take at least two months. She looked down at the components on the table, shaking her head slightly. It was easy for her to build her saber, but it was not that easy to explain, she wondered how she would go about explaining this all to Thomas as she waited for him to arrive.*

OOC: No probalem. ^_^

IC: Walks in and looks at the table.

"Someone broke your vid unit...."

[Amalia Azalin]

ooc: Ugh, sorry, Thomas, I'll eventually get things together. Really sorry.

ic: *Amalia laughed.*

"No, not hardly, all this..."

*She gestured to what was upon the table.*

"Is for you, all the content will be used to construct your lightsaber, I just have to explain to you how it is done..If i can figure out how to do so, that is..."

OOC: Dont worry.

IC: "Ah... lightsabers.... I had a toy one when I was a kid..."

Chuckles nervously as he looks at the pieces.

"Aren't these things dangerous if made wrong? Ive seen what happens when a blaster goes off wrong..."

*grabs a stick and pokes Amalia*

"I'm going to explain it all to you, I will pick up each piece and show you where it goes."

*she began to explain to him..*

Note to you: This is going to be incredibly boring, and may or may not make sense, but you will be able to build your saber by following what you have read in the past several replies in dealing with construction, remember that it will take you several months to build your saber. anyway, here we go...

*she picked up the power cell first.*

"When this power cell is activated, they create photoelectric energy which is focused through one, two, or three multi-facted crystals..."

*She pointed to the crystals upon the table*(note:you can make them whatever color you wish, they are what give the saber its color.)

"The crystals can be found in nature, a task which requires a Jedi to focus their concentration on selecting a crystal which would focus the energy and not explode. The Sith, on the other hand, used synthetic crystals formed in incredibly hot ovens, using their emotions to help control and assist in the formation of the crystal. The energy from the crystal is formed into a tight, parallel beam of coherent packets.These packets are emitted through a positively-charges..."

*She then picked up the lens assembly and continued on.*

"..continuous energy lens which projects the packets away from the lightsaber. The packets are then usually almost immediately attracted back to the lightsaber by a negatively-charged, high-energy flux aperature, and then continually recycled to create the glowing blade that you see when you ignite your saber..."

*She paused, looking upon Thomas with a soft smile*

"Understand all this so far?"

Eyes three stones on the table, a blue, a green and a turquiose one.

"So far so good."

*She continued on.*

"The packets are recycled by a superconductor back into the power cell for re-energizing, thus, the entire process is completely contained. No energy is lost, no heat is given off because the light in the blade is recaptured. The only time energy loss occurs is when the blade strikes an object."

*She set everything back upon the table.*

"well, that is everything. The saber will probably take you several months to construct. Take your time, and remember that ut us your own saber, and that it shall identify you. build it with thought and care,"

ooc: I ask that you make a new thread for this, at least 5 replies in the entire thread, you can have more if you wish, each should be close to two paragraphs if not more, some replies can be less, if you wish, just no one word sentences, it needs to be a little lengthy. "Nice," That was what Amalia said as she walked in.

"So you can make a saber, but can you use it..."

*she paused, not expecting an answer.*

"We shall see..."

*Upon the table sat a small spherical droid.*

"You've seen these before, haven't you?"

Tom smiled as he saw the hoverdroid on the table.

"Me and my dad used to use those when we did quick-draw training with blasters..."

[Amalia Azalin]

*Amalia picked up the droid and turned it on, it flew out of the palm of hand only to hover into the air, near Thomas.*

"Ah, I see, well, this is somewhat similar, only this time you'll be using your saber. This droid has three levels. One being the easiest of the threee, and three being the hardest or most difficult."


"Your job is to block or reflect the laser shots the droid will fire at you. This is done by aid of the force. You must open up your mind to the force, channel into it as you watch the droid closely, watch its movement, predict when it will stick next. The droid awaits your movement, begin when ready.."

Before he could speak the droid fired a shot at his knee. Tom Yelped and glared evily at the droid. The Saber snap-hissed to life as he prepared to block the next.

ooc: Need at least three or four action moves in a reply, either all by you or the droid, or split up, if that even makes sense. I don't mean to confuse you. Just more action, one move is not enough, that's my fault for not saying so, sorry.

ic:"Concentrate, remain focused, place your mind on the droid and be aware of its moves.."

*The droid began to fire again..*

The droid fired again, tom avoided the shot this time. Growling at the droid. He began to feel the droid. He felt something grow... WHACK! It fired at his knee. Tom yelped in pain and steadied the blade. He felt the surge again as it fired. The blot splashed off the blade.

[Amalia Azalin]

"Good, now once more. In order to move to the seond level, I require that you not miss any shots on the first level. Remember, focus and concentration."

[tomduo]

Tom blocked another shot as his Mistress was talking.

"Alrighty..."

Another shot built up and dispelled as it splashed off th saber. Tom grined as he felt another build as it gingerly reflected off the blade.

[Amalia Azalin]

"Very good..."

As if by some mysterious force, the droid's level indicator switched to the second level.

"Let's see how well you do with level two."

She smiled softly.

"After you finish with the droid, you shall move on to sparring with one of your fellow Jedi....One more level after this."

[tomduo]

"GAH!"

The Droid begins spitting bolts at tom. Some hitting his leg, some splashing off his saber.

[Amalia Azalin]

Amalia still smiled, having confidence in Thomas.

'Yes, the fire is much faster and a bit stronger. Just keep your focus and concentration. Keep an eye on that droid!"

[tomduo]

"Hai!"

He regains his focus as the droid fires again, splashing off he saber blade. He thumbs the side control as the blade thickens. Another shot reflects of the blade aimed at the Droid.

[Amalia Azalin]

"Alright, third and final level."

The droid switches to the third level, and Amalia simply nods to Thomas to continue on.

[tomduo]

Spins the saber and blasts the bolts feeling each discharge rather easily.

[Amalia Azalin]

"Excellent!"

The droid hovered over toward Amalia, setting itself to off mode. It slowly drifted down into her hand and she walked over to the table, setting the droid down upon the table. she turned ehr attention back to Thomas.

"Now you are ready to spar with one of your fellow Jedi. Go do so, and meet me back here when you are all done."

ooc: now just make a thread, requesting to spar with someone, meet me back here when you are done.

Nods and deactivates the saber. He turns around and walks out to find his spar.

I'm sure you've been participating in other threads besides that of your training, at SWFans or anywhere else, that is related to your character and his progress.
