Why the **** not? (spar)

::Verse waits in the jungles of Yavin 4. He was out of shape, time to get back in it.::

[Xazor]

Xazor walked into the jungle. She felt her Master's presence and quickly read his thoughts. He was looking for a spar. She had never sparred with him, and thought it was time she did.

Master.............I wish to spar with you.........please?

She asked as she bowed deeply.

[verse dawnstrider]

::Verse nodded. He ignited both his light sabers. He hadn't taught Xazor this form yet. He was still teaching her the one handed form. He held the hilts backward so that the blades were inches from his forearms. He spun the and got in a defencsize stance.::

"Good, ignite you blade. Lets go."

[Xazor]

Xazor ignited her saber as instructed. She twirled her saber in her right hand and the positioned it above her head, parallel to the ground and in a low defensive stance.

Who shall make the first move?

She asked with a smile.

[verse dawnstrider]

"Always try for the first move....."

::Verse ran atthe padawan. At the last second he jumped over her head with the force. She spun around to see teh twin grey sabers attacking her. with the Force, she held her ground. Xazor swung in an overhead arch. Verse made a v-shape with his sabers and caught the blade. He pushed the saberds away from thier bodies and met Xazor with a heatbutt.::

[Xazor]

Xazor was caught off guard by his last attack and went falling backwards. She called on the Force and pulled herself back up. She went running at Verse, using the Force to make her faster and stronger. Right when she got to him, she jumped up and did a spinning cresent kick to the side of his head. She spun around on the ball of her foot and landed a side thrust kick in his stomach. She then did a back flip over his head and landed behind him, nailing the back of his neck with the hilt of her saber. She knew he wasn't expecting this from her....but she had more surprises where that came from. She had been studying and practicing on her own......and sparring with a lot of different people. The fact that she had once been a warrior and was skilled in martial arts attributed to her skill level also. She smiled as she replayed the sequence in her mind.

::Verse started to stumble then blocked the pain out of his mind with the Force. In doing so he kept focused. He could feel his young padawan getting cocky. Verse felt the wind and made a quick burst of wind at her as he spun atoun to a couched postion. The wind picked up the sand and threw it in Xazor face. He stumbled back as the sand burned her eyes. Verse pushed off from his crouching postion and ran full speed at his padawn. He jumped up as she back-up into a tree. ae grabed a branch in each of his hands above her head. They were about 3 feet above her head. He used his current momentuim to push off her chest, only to slam both feet into her ribs. He pushed again flipping into the tree branchs. He jumped fromt he and grabed a vine and swung off the cliff behind them. He feel straight down. A 200 foot drop. Verse smiled wondering if his padawan would follow.::

[Xazor]

Xazor gasped for air as she quickly recovered from the last sequence of attacks. She blocked the pain from her body as she watched her Master jump off the cliff behind them. She gave a slight smile and then ran full speed toward the edge. Once she reached it she jumped out with her arms and legs spread. She could see the ground coming fast and quickly changed her position. She put a type of Force shield around her to lessen the effect of the impact. Suddenly she hit the ground. A normal human would have been severely injured from the fall, but she had been protected and only came out of it with slight bruises and a small cut above her eye. She stood up and brushed herself off. She then looked around for her Master and spotted him a few feet away from her. His arms were crossed over his chest as he grinned at her.

Master, may I inquire as to your purpose in coming down here?

She asked in a quiet voice. She gave him a light smile as she pondered as to what he was trying to teach her. She knew that she wouldn't walk away from this without a few lessons...........

OOC: Careful girl. That is God Modding. a 200 foot drop like that? Have to change that. I'll give you a sample post to show you what I mean.

IC:

::Verse fell through the Air. He started to slow his speed down with the Force as best he could. He saw one of the trees in the Jungle. It was one of the highest trees in the Jungle. Like all of the tree's it had many vines hanging from it. Verse grabbed the vine as he fell and let it slow him down even more. Verse felt his shoulder pop out of joint as he grabed the vine. He used the momentum of his fall swing him to another branch. Verse used the Force to keep his balance as he blocked out the paina nd popped his shoulder back in joint. Verse grunted as it went back in.



OOC: You notice I did not fall anywhere near 200 feet and it is realist. I plan to have a talk about teh other Godmodding that people have told me about. Thing's like Force Lightning is a BIG no no. Only Sith masters can shoot lightning out of thier hands. I will talk about the otehrs in another thread.

ooc: I am really sorry, I am still tryiing to figure out what is "real" and what isn't in the world of a Jedi, seeing as though they are powerful. It is hard when others play by different rules. I want to apologize, cuz I do it a lot, and I do it without realizing it. IC:

Okay, Xazor jumped off the cliff and saw a near by branch hanging from a tree. She reached out her arms as far as she could and barely grabbed onto it. She was slowed down a bit, but was moving rapidly and her hands burned from the friction. She winced in pain as she tried to think of something to do. She called on the Force to slow her down, and it did. She was still going pretty fast though. She saw another bunch of branches and reached out for one of those, grabbing one successfully. This slowed her down even more, but the pain was so immense. She cried out as it burned her hands even more. Then she noticed a large pile of dead vines a few feet to the right of where she was intended to fall. Using what energy she had, she swung out and fell about twenty feet to the ground, with a partially soft landing in the vines. She sat up and immediatly grabbed her wrist and started to cry.

Master! Oh it hurts so bad, I think I sprained it!

She howled in pain as tears streamed from her eyes. Forcing a healing wave over it, she lessened the pain a great deal and stood up. Wiping the tears from her eyes, she regained her composure. It was embarrasing to cry in front of her Master. She didn't want him to think she couldn't handle a little pain, but it hurt a lot. She used her other hand to brush the leaves off of herself and straighten her robes. Giving him a weak smile she spoke.

I'll be okay............may I ask now, why did we come down here?

Curiousity ran through her voice as she questioned.

ooc afterthought: you know how you said that shooting lightning out of my hands is a big no no? I know that, and that is not what I did. OOC: That works out alot better. YOu don't always have to hurt yourself though. It can be mild, like when my shoulder popped out of joint. That is alot better though. As for how to tell, just think of what a normal person and do and make that a little stronger. Like a monk. That is how I do it. I would just stay away from the lightning. I do not really see how it would be wrong. You are not shooting it from your hands. It is a natural element. The Sith are picky though. That is why I stay away from lightning.

I think I know what you are talking about. You know how when you and I spar, if you kick me, you say you send me back a few feet, etc........That is how I am sparring with the Sith. I always do that with everyone.......it's a give and take, ya know? They call that god moding.......I don't know what to do with it anymore! Anywayz.....I'll go and change my post so that I don't break my wrist.......maybe sprain it for a little while. I guess it's a good idea not to always hurt myself (I find that I do it a lot...heheh). OOC: The biggest thing to remeber is size and strenght. My other char "Randd" is 9'8. You can punch him all day and not even turn his skin red, but you can run laps around him because he is so slow. I normally do not fight Sith, ar figth Jedi with Chaos because it gets strange. I just RP stories. Getting to old to argue.

ooc: Yeah, I know what you mean. It is easier to spar with other Jedi. I am tired of arguing with the Sith. It gets to be a little much when things are carried over ooc, ya know? That's cool about your other character. I will keep that in mind. Right now, I seem to be pretty fast, and smart.......but I hurt myself a lot....hehe. It will all balance out in time, I guess. One last thing. Try not to put moves in for other people to inflict more damage. For the most half I do not mind it. Others do though. Life is strange with this RP. Like I said, sometimes it is best to stay out of spars. If you say you swing your blade at me, I do not mind you saying I blocked it. Others do though. That is a little more advice.

True, most people do not care about the block/swing thing. It is just when you make it so that they look like asses. I freind described it to me like this saying one swings and you block is ok, but saying he blocks so you can kick him in the groin is a bit much. I would get pissed if someone said I stoped fighting to laugh at them. why? I would not do that. Just take the others skills in mind. Have them block, but not grab you. See what I mean?

Also..a BIG one. Don't do things saying it is ok because you were once a Sith. You are a Jedi now and Sith stuff is very bad. And keep me out the OOC please. Try and handle things on your own. Saying "Verse said so." makes you look like you know nothing. OOC arguements are like a buissness deal. A friend didn't like the way I did something. In turn I talked to him via email and worked out a situation were I lost my saber to him so he could get prmoted at TSE, but I kicked his ass. This helps you get to know the other better.

Wow, this is kinda scary. (Do you check up on every post I make?) LOL, jk. I know, I do that stupid thing, "Yeah, I can do this cuz I was a Sith" , makes me sound like a real Jedi, huh? I try to put my past in my present to make it more interesting, but it always comes out wrong. Ya know what I mean? OOC: Should have seen me when I first started. i was a mess. I still am for the most part, just not as bad. Our combat thread will help you though. I am setting it up to improve RP skills as well as train. Gets you thinking about many options in battle and RP stuff.

I will tell you about it when the thread is over and if you passed or not. YOu will now though. Just reply like you normally would. We just need to get Shade to post. I am working on the next RP already. I just need to get a few things cleared up, and as soon as we are done with the one now (soon I hope. Must kick Shade and make him type faster.
