View Full Version : Test Your Padawans On Me (open)

Sage circled the dojo. The main fighting area was circular in shape, this is what he stood in. His lightsabre was set on "stun", as to not kill anyone. He awaited the Padawans.

OOC - Have a Padawan that you want tested? Have them post here. Or, if you're a Padawan that wants a challenge, post. Multiple Padawans can fight me at a time, I'm good enough to take up to four. Maybe more... Yeah, I'm a cocky SOB. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> First four get dibs. If I say so, more can join in.

BTW, the "stun" setting doesn't exist to my knowledge. It's just a way to fight with lightsabres and not sticks. It won't cut, just singe. I suggest all combatants adopt this fictional setting.

Aura motioned over to Sage with a smile, following with a bow to the Jedi Master.

"I would like to take you up on your offer. I am Aura."

Sage looked her up and down. She'd do, for now. He was hoping a battallion would arrive, but he could wait.

"Alright. Arm yourself."

Sage flicked his sabre on and motioned for her to do the same.

OOC - Jedi Master. <img src=http://www.thegjo.com/forum/smileys/biglaugh.gif ALT=":D">

BTW, my posts won't be too discriptive. So any new people that are reading or posting in this, do not try and copy my style in this post. You should have a little more substance in your writing.

Aura unclipped her cobalt saber hilt, as she thumbed the activation switch. Instantaneously a blue core boiled forth into a meter long lance. She grasped the hilt with a double handed grip, the tip barbed vertically up, as she awaited the Jedi Master's action.

OOC: Sorry, lol, Im new here..All fixed. I have my own style, compliments of intensive training in an RPG talk city group over 2 years. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Sage darted forward. After a twirl of his sabre he went into a complex combo. First he took three hard slashes at her left side. Then he swung the sabre to the other side, reversing his two handed grip as he did. One, two, three slashes to that side. The attacks filled with so much strength that it was impossible to do anything but wait them out. All of these moves were well parried, they weren't magnificent attacks, simply tests.

Now came the heat. Sage reverted back to his original attack, three slashes to her left side. But on the third slash he stopped and switched to her right. The Padawan scrambled to parry to her right. She did, but in the last second defence, she left herself open. Sage kicked her hard in the left shin, then quickly bounced back.

He span the sabre with his right hand in bravado, then stopped it. His left hand stretched out and beckoned her forward. He wasn't just testing her abilities, but he Jedi mentality. Seeing a taunt often sends a combatant into furious rage. The Jedi would need to keep her emotions in check to face the Jedi Master, who was at the moment only testing her.

OOC - Do you have a normal lightsabre? From your discription it seemed that it might be special. Sorry, I'm in rush, so I can't read it thouroughly(Oscars!!)

More Padawans join in!!!

Xazor stepped forward. Her red robes gathered behind her like an ocean wave. She smiled and bowed to Jedi Master Sage, and to her friend Aura.

Greetings to both of you......

She said softly and drew her lightsaber. The hilt was crafted beautifully and the silver finish caught the light from the ceiling. She moved her finger over the activation switch and a blue blade shot forth with a hissing sound. She thought for a moment, but decided against using the duel-phased mecanism today. She looked up at Sage and smiled once again.

Sage didn't smile. He was in Sith immitator mode.

He charged fully at the Padawan. He started by swinging low, at the feet, easily parried. He came from the top and slamed the sabre's blade towards the top of her head. Easily parried.

With a moment of inspiration, Sage attacked anew. Suddenly, Xazor caught the image of both the Jedi Master's fists flying for her face. She swung in a well executed counter clockwise block, but touched nothing. The sabre swung wildly to her left, continuing with it's momentum. The Jedi Master's real hand layed a forceful left cross on her jaw. Alter Mind, an ability not perfected by the Jedi Master, but used effectively.

He sprung back, spinning to face the other Padawan. He was just getting warmed up.

OOC - More join in, don't stop now.

Xazor's skin stung from the blow to her jaw. With her free hand, she rubbed it, trying to take some of the pain away. This would teach her, things are not as they appear. She smiled and charged at Sage. Jumping over his head, she landed behind him and drove the hilt of her saber into the base of his neck. He was not affected greatly by it, but he was sure to feel some pain. He somehow pushed her backwards and turned around. She did not hesitate, but called on the Force and sent a powerful blast his way, sending him stumbling a few feet.

She was good. Sage decided to take her MUCH more seriously.

Charging full force now at Xazor, Sage held his Lightsabre in a one handed, right grip. He pushed her through the Force, not from the front, but from behind. This sent her stumbling towards him. Sage batted her lightsabre away. It was weakly held since her focus was on balance. Sage slammed his left palm into her shoulder blade as he passed her. As he did, he span to his right to accent the forcefull hit. He righted himself, sabre held in a raised right hand.

He now had the two of them infront of him.

Aura barely had time to bow back to Xazor as she was greeted with a barrage of slices by Sage, which she parried with diagonal and vertical sweeps with her saber, exchanging hands on her hilt to cover both flanks. The callous blow to her shin made her recoil in pain, yet she held her complacent stance and kept her emotions in check.

She then darted over to the Jedi Master, as she lunged the tip of her blade into his left flank, which he easily avoided by spinning left, intercepting her saber from below while raising it up, as he sidestepped closer, her midsection was met with a fervid side kick.

Falling back in a roll, Aura flipped up to her feet and bolted again at the Jedi Master. She spun 360 degrees clockwise while approaching his left side less than half a meter, the hilt grasped in her right hand, as the saber was positioned diagonally up before her torso. Aura then whirled her saber speedily, as the cobalt blade descended near the lower back of Jedi Master Sage.

OOC: Yes regular saber, but have another sequestered at my belt if needed lol. ;)

Xazor tried to block the pain from her mind. Her shoulder was pounding as a large bruise formed. She called her saber back to her right hand with the Force. Holding it steady, she focused on the Jedi Master. She had learned a great many things in her training, and this was definatly a great test. Calling upon the Force to aid her, she bent over and picked up some sand in her hand and blew it at Sage. She then created the image of a hundred throwing knives soaring straight for him. With her free hand, she took out two of her own and threw them along with the image. He blocked well, for if they would have been real, he probably would not have been hit....but it was the deception of the real ones that made this illusion great. They made their mark by lightly grazing both of his bicepts. Two small slits appeared and she grinned as she called her fallen knives to her hand and quickly put them back on her weapons belt. She now stood in a defensive stance ready for his next attack. Her shoulder was in great pain, and the Force was not taking much of it away. It hurt to hold her saber in her right hand, so she switched to her left. Though not her dominant hand, it was just as good and would do....

They were working as a team, a good idea.

Sage flipped backwards. His spine was saved by this feat. He flipped right over the swinging blade. As he landed he let the momentum of his right foot continue, kicking the wrists of Aura's stilling slicing hands.

As Aura strained to keep control of her sabre from the massive kick, Sage didn't stop. He used her minor physical slip to tap into the Force surrounding her. Pushing through the Force the Padawans went flying off the ground, slamming into Xazor. Luckily she wasn't sliced in half by Xazor's sabre. Although the two Jedi now layed on the ground.

Sage wondered how he could slip out of the Force long enough for the knives to hit their mark. He had underestamated the two Padawans. He had especially forgot the fact that Verse Dawnstrider was an experienced force user, who excelled in fake imagery. Of course his Padawan would be almost as adept. Now noticeing his shirt was torn, thanks to the knifes, he fixed it properly. He ripped it off with his free hand, leaving him barechested.

No more mister nice Sagey.

Xazor's body ached as she slowly rose to her feet. She helped Aura to her feet and then dashed at Sage once again. She wasted no time and dropped to the ground, sweeping his feet from under him. As he lost footing, Xazor slashed down at his chest. It was easily blocked, so Xazor created a Force wall for him to fall on. He fell over it and she could hear his back crack. She grinned and spun around back into defense with her saber remaining in her left hand.

Aura swallowed hard as their plight continued against the experienced Jedi Master. She thanked her friend for helping her up, then composed herself for an attack.

"Thanks Xazor."

Aura charged Sage as she feigned a horizontal slice to his left flank, as he lowered to parry, she pivoted on her left foot for a total rotation round house, her right foot connecting with his right side. Aura was prepared for his seasoned tricks, as she summoned the Force. Suddenly, three sizable rocks were hurled toward Sage's midsection, as the Padawan and Xazor avoided them in time with an abrupt roll to the side.

Mar 26th, 2002, 04:08:59 PM
Sage felt like an old fool. He had fallen for the easiest tricks in the book. He was now out to set the Padawans in their place.

He saw the rocks hurled at him long before they hit. Yet he didn't move. He spun his lightsabre on the way to deactivating it and setting it on his belt. He then quickly spread his feet apart, leaving his now bare mid-section widely open.

He gathered the Force. The Jedi Master thought of this energy as his old friend, always ready to help. He clenched his fists as his arms rose to the air. His stomach, already incredibly strong from repeated exercise, was enchanced ten fold through the Force. The rocks crushed against his body, not moving him a centimeter. They crumbled to dust on the ground, Sage unscathed.

Sage acknowledged the two ladies, postitioned at both his sides. They had recovered from their rolls. Sage didn't bother to take out his lightsabre, he was in his zone now.

The Jedi Master charged at Aura first, who was on his right. He could feel Xazor coming from behind now, but he saved that for later. He faked two quick jabs, left then right, to the Padawan's mouth, she parried each one, although never connected. Sage pulled his hands back in time to avoid the blade. Sage crouched down and swung his left leg out, going into a crouched spin to increase the force of the kick. Aura leapt in the air and took no pause to swing her sword from her right to left, attempting to decapitate. Sage had finished his crouched spin and used his coiled legs to propel him into the air, avoiding the sword swing. He kicked out both of his feet mid-air. The slammed into the Padawan's chest, knocking her onto the ground.

Sage went into a flip before he landed. He went into another backflip once he did land. The Jedi Master soared past the ambushing, charging Xazor. He managed to push her lightly from behind, to remind her she was no longer facing the more experience Jedi.

Sage waited for her attack.

OOC - Force Wall, eh? Pretty good. You know, I created that. <img src=http://www.thegjo.com/forum/smileys/biglaugh.gif ALT=":D">

Xazor spun around and kick Sage in the stomach after he pushed her. She grinned as he stumbled a bit. She thought for a moment and looked up. There were a few broken beams above her head. She called on the Force and made them fall. Sage dodged the first one.....but the next two pinned his body to the ground. She smiled to herself and took a defensive position. This was the fight where she would definatly use the Force more than her body.....

Sage Hazzard
Mar 26th, 2002, 04:36:00 PM
Size matters not. The beams flew off Sage and at Xazor. They flew horizontal. The length of them made it impossible for the Padawan to dodge them in time. They both hit her. One on the ankles and one on stomach. Sage didn't throw them hard enough to break anything, this wasn't that kind of battle. The ankle hitting beam knocking Xazor off her feet, and sent her body leaning forward in her desent to the floor. The second beam hit her squarely in the stomach, making her body snap back. Her breath was knocked out. The first beam continued past her a bit before hitting the ground. The second beam layed in front of her. Her hurt upper body layed over it.

OOC - Aura, I know it's proper Roleplaying manners to let you post before me, like taking turns. But, hey, I'm under a beam for pet's sake. Sorry, I had to save Sagey's life. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

The pain in Xazor's stomach was immense once again. She held her hand over her solar plexis while she tried to regain her breath. She focused on the Force and brought some strength back to her so she could breath. Rising to her feet slowly, she stood once again in a defensive stance. She then got an idea. It was the first illusion she had learned how to do. She bent over and gathered some sand in her hand. She blew it at Sage and created the illusion of thousands of small butterflies flying into his face. There tiny beating wings were blinding, buying her time to execute an attack. As the small imaginary creatures fluttered in his face, she jumped over his head and kicked the back of his knees in, sending him falling. As he fell, she slashed her saber from his right shoulder to his left shoulder, leaving a fairly deep cut. She grinned as she took defense once again and the illusion disappeared.

She had drawn blood. Now the battle would go to the next level. He couldn't believe the Padawan had tricked him, and with butterflies! The Jedi Master stayed determined to keep a constant connection to the Force. This would help him distinguish what was real, and what was not. Plus it would help him stay aware of attacks from Aura. And it made it easier to "feel" and "anticipate" the movements of Xazor.

Sage turned to lay on his back. He faked a hard kick with both of his feet to Xazor's knees. She jump instinctively. He used the time she was in the air to roll under her. He stopped as she landed, his back to her. The Jedi Master reached up with his left hand as he rose. He bent his arm enough to guide his fingers to her neck. He grabbed the right side of her neck with his left hand, still back to back, a rather odd approach. He pulled and at the same time bent his body. This threw her effectively over his shoulder, flipping backwards. Sage grabbed her shirt collar before she hit the ground. He pulled her head up towards him but at the same time punched it back down.

After the quick attack, which took maybe 5 seconds, Sage rolled on the ground to his right. This put about two meters between the two. Sage once again drew his lightsabre, igniting it as he did.

Aura could not help herself from smiling as Sage ignited his saber. She loved a raw saber spar, free of Force tricks, but knew with a Jedi Master she would have to rely on any Force abilities she had acquired during training.

Dashing over to Sage, Aura launched her attacks starting with basic horizontal maneuvers, which he parried with ease with a mere flick of a practiced wrist. Sage then lashed out at her right knee, closing in with a low sweep, as she escaped his blade with a side flip landing a meter from his leftside.

Assembling the Force, she again charged him as the Lightside aided in her agility, following with a twisting flip over the length of his body, a meter over his head. Contorting in the air, Aura drove the barbed end of her blade towards his left trapezius muscle on a steep angle, if her saber were charged up to its fullest, the blade would emerge out his lower right ribs if not averted away.

Xazor
Mar 27th, 2002, 11:28:08 AM
Xazor rose to her feet and rubbed her back, easing the pain by allowing the Force to flow through her body. She called her lightsaber to her hand by the Force and charged Sage. Slashing and slicing every angle she could contort her body, she had to duck occasionally from a nice parry on his part. Once she got in close, she faked him with a punch to the head. He leaned back as anyone would do, but as he did so, she spun around with a back kick to his hand. This sent his saber flying off to his side, and Xazor jumped to avoid being hit with the uncontrolled blade. She grinned as she stepped back a few feet, but suddenly was pushed forward again by a Force push. Assuming it was from Sage, she picked up some sand and blew it at him, at the same time taking out her dagger. She threw the dagger along with the sand but created no illusion, that was the "illusion". She wanted him to think that she was playing another trick, but she wasn't. Ot didn't seem that he attempted to block it, and the dagger made it's mark in his right shoulder. She called it back to her hand with the Force and put it back on her weapons belt. Her wrist suddenly hurt and she looked down to see that it was bleeding. She couldn't figure out why, so she cleared the blood away and looked at the cut. When she pulled out her dagger, she had nailed herself with it before launching it at Sage. It was sending pain all the way up her arm, and it hurt to hold her saber. Gritting her teeth, she dealt with it as she took a defensive stance again. The blood dripped down her arm and onto her robes. She quickly rolled the sleeve of her cloak up to the middle of her arm and focused once again. She would have to be more careful and not rush things like taking out her weapons......or she would end up cutting her own arm off!

Sage was overwhelmed at the fact that these Padawans were so matured in the ways of the Force. Normal human beings do not move with the agility and percision as these had. They were truely worthy opponents, and worthy of his best.

Quick steps backwards put Sage a good distance in front of the two approaching Padawans. The Jedi Master fell deep into the Force, succuming to it's every command. The Force was the greatest guide of all. A million and one possibilties it pointed out, and it gave a map from which to decide the correct path. Should he block left or right? The Force would tell him. A Jedi Master's connection to the Force was truely a thing to be reckoned with.

He called the sabre to his hand. With his newly restored connection to the Force, it did as commanded. It felt calm and cool in his hand, ready for action. Sage waisted no time charged towards the two eager young Padawans. What a surprise they were in for, all yielding signs had been taken down.

He struck low to Xazor's right knee. She blocked it from above easily. The Jedi Master pushed up in a clockwise circle with his sabre, the combatant's sword still interlocked with his. This brought both sabres to her left side. Sage slammed his left shoulder into her chest, knocking her back. In her dazed state he leapt forward, kicking her squarely in the jaw and knocking her down.

As he landed he was already turning, facing the oncoming Aura. She was striking at a diagonal, he blocked it barely. A series of fakes and aimed strikes drove the Padawan back. Finally Sage used an old trick, one he had invented and perfected from the rank of Padawan. As Aura retreated, blocking expertly, she hit a snag. A simingly solid wall had erected behind her. She couldn't move past it. It was the famed Force Wall, or as some had called it, the Sage-Wall. The Jedi Master drove his lightsabre towards her chest, she met it as it hung less than half a meter in front of her. The Jedi Master drove it closer and closer, overpowering the Padawan. Finally, he let go and ducked to the side. Her previously defence turned into a costly balance loss as her pressure was gone. Sage stood from the side, not wasting time. He swung his elbow down and met her back, between the shoulder blades. As she stumbled to keep her balance, Sage kicked her, forcing her to the ground.

The Jedi Master stepped lightly backwards, putting a good defensive distance between Aura, and even farther distance from Xazor. A Jedi does not seek adventure, but he had to admit this was beginning to become fun.

Stumbling as she regains her stance, Xazor rubs her jaw as it throbs with pain. He was an excellent fighter and Xazor was learning a lot from him. She then focuses and drowns herself in the Force in an attempt to stay in tune deeper. She rushes at Sage and jumps over his head. Landing softly behind him, she sets up a Force wall. As he turns around and takes a quick step at her, he slams into the Force wall. With a slight laugh, the wall diminishes as he falls back. She lunges at him and side thrust kicks him in the chest, which aids in his fall. He hits the ground fast and hard, and Xazor jumps right onto his chest. She holds her saber at his neck, and holds herself there with the Force so he can't lift her with his mind and throw her. She grins as she sees the sweat break on his forehead...

The Jedi Master was smiling. She was creative.

He focused all his power on the lightsabre hilt. Although he could have easily thrown her off, being that a Jedi Master has more ease of the Force than a Padawan, he decided otherwise. He lured her into a false sense of security, aided by the self inflicted sweat. How surprised she would be!

The hilt of her lightsabre was changing. Although she couldn't tell, Sage was working his magic. Slowly, the crystals in it changed postition. It shortened the length of the blade. Sage raised his sabre quickly and slapped the shortened blade away. As she was quite caught off gaurd, the blade went flying out of her hand. Xazor's lightsabre was shut off by the Jedi Master, he wouldn't want it to burn a hole in the ground as it skidded along the floor. Sage deactivated his own sabre and layed it on the ground as he continued his assualt.

He launched off the ground by almost unhuman means. His shoulder drove into Xazor's stomach, pushing her back in a full tackle. Behind her, a Force Wall was expertly erected. They both crashed into. Sage didn't take as much damage due to the fact he was anticipating the collision, and Xazor's body cushioned the blow. As she slammed up against the invisible wall, Sage drew back. He squared up with her.

The Jedi Master threw an intently wild right hook. Xazor blocked it with the outside of her left forearm. Sage quickly drove towards her left and shifted his arm. His right hand wrapped around her throat, and his left hand grabbed the wrist of her left hand. He put his right hip at her back and pushed forward with his right hand. She was flung over his hip, Judo style. Sage released as she rolled to a stop on the floor.

He waited for retaliation, from Xazor and Aura. He didn't even care to grab his lightsabre, he didn't feel it crucial. Wasted time wasn't an option.

Xazor shook off the pain in her back, it was really throbbing in many places now. She closed her eyes and tried to regain the great focus she had a minute ago. Success was had, and she smiled through the pain. She left her, now deformed lightsaber lay on the floor. Without hesitation, Xazor focused around her. There was a group of nearby rocks. She lifted them with her mind as she kept looking at the Jedi Master. In all of a few seconds, she constructed a Force wall in front of him and threw the mass of rocks for the back of his head. When he noticed, of course he lept forward and ducked......hitting the Force wall with a major blow backwards into the flying rocks. Xazor dropped the Force wall....but forgot the rocks. A few came at her and she jumped and fell to avoid being hit. One caught her shoulder and it stung pretty badly......but it taught her too be more mindful next time....

The rocks would hurt a normal human, but his tolerence to pain was unequaled, even to some Jedi Masters. Jedi didn't feel pain if they were well trained.

"Who taught you the Force Wall? My own creation?" Sage said, almost rhetorically. He knew her Master, but never knew he had learned the skill. "You will find the next time you use it, you will be sorry for it."

Sage had his ways. He had created the method. He knew how to destroy them, and detect them. A Jedi Master cannot be fooled, even by the most inventive illusionist. In fact, his Masterhood trial was one filled with illusion. If he had not known how to decipher them, distinguish reality from a farce, he would never have became a Jedi Master.

"It's time you learn a few things."

Sage rubbed his hands together as he approached her. The Master's eyes were sure and unyielding. He continued to rub his hands together, forever using the Force, as he approached her.

He lashed out, with open hands. He was aiming for her wrists. As the Padawan went to block what she thought an attack, she was shocked by the truth. Her wrists seemed on fire. The skin felt like boiling over, although it wouldn't. Sage kept the temperature at a level where as not to kill her, yet not to bring comfort by any means. He squeezed harder and harder, threatening to perhaps even break her wrists by sheer strength.

"It is hard to stay calm, when faced with so much pain! Can you do this Padawan Xazor? Can you stay calm?"

He squeezed harder still. He forced her to her knees by slowly pushing her down with the force. His eyes seemed to be on fire as the Padawan stared into them. To attack when angry, in revenge, or with any emotion was of the Dark Side. Sage had heard this was the one thing she needed to improve apon, keeping her emotions in check. Could she do it?

Xazor breathed deeply as she was sent to her knees by the driving pain. It hurt badly and she could do nothing about it. She looked into his firey eyes as hers filled with tears from the pain. Closing hers then, she focused on the Force, filling her soul with it......deeper than she had ever before. This was a trial, but she was overcoming it. She opened her eyes with a renewed strength in her soul, and spoke to the Jedi Master in a quiet and calm voice.

Yes Master Sage, it is difficult for one of anger to stay calm when under so much pain and stress.....but I am a child of the Light and I do nothing out of anger. Even if I knew you were going to kill me......I would do nothing.

She spoke the honest truth from her heart as the pain intensified. She did not know what would become of this, but she kept her focus on the Force.

The Force is my ally.......my strength. In me it knows no darkness....

She said this verbally and then repeated it in her mind. She had overcome her anger issues and was proving it right now.....

Sage yanked her off the ground, several feet actually. She went flying across the room, about 40 meters. She hit a wall and fell hurt to the floor. Sage thought to himself.

"I will have to speak to the council about her actions, once her promotion vote comes. A true Jedi would rather die than succumb to the Dark Side. Even though she didn't break my hold, she exibited strength and confidence in the Light. Well done."

Sage brought his Lightsabre to him. He eyed Xazor's for a moment. He had wanted to test her, for his own and maybe for the Council's knowledge. Now he could return the blade to normal. He did so, correcting the default crystal placement for regulation length. He ignited his own sabre as he faced down Aura, waiting for her attack. Perhaps he would test her?

Xazor rose to her feet in pain. Her whole body ached, especially her wrists. Rubbing each one with the opposing hand, she let the Force flow into them and minimize the pain. Calling her saber to her right hand with the Force, she ignited it to find that the regular length had been restored. She smiled to herself as confidence boosted her once again. She approached Sage and Aura and stood a good distance from them, ready to attack or defend, she knew not which. She would wait until she was spoken to before she did anything.

Aura was buying time, observing her opponent in quietude. She was no fool, nor was Xazor. It would be a fruitless endeavor to do battle with a Jedi Master as a Padawan with an obvious encumbrance with the Force, still, the learning experience did pose its advantages for future skirmishes against an enemy Sith or Dark Jedi.

Disengaging her saber and reclipping the hilt, Aura raced at Sage from behind while he was engrossed in the spar with Xazor. Using the destraction, she drop kicked him at his upper back, and then pounced on the now prone Jedi Master, her left knee planted into the small of his back, her right leg and foot ahead on the ground next to his face, as she then leaned down and grabbed him by the throat with her right arm, arching him up as she bent her arm around his neck, straining both his back and neck muscles as she leaned towards her aft. She was not sure if she caught him by surprise, yet awaited his response nonetheless.

"Can you get out of this without the Force, Jedi Master Sage?" Aura whispered to him.

Sage was trained in combat tactics long before he joined the Jedi. He had over 300 kills, a fact that plauged him through time. As his connection to the Force grew, he had dreams of his enemies fate. They were flashbacks of his kills, seen through the dying person's eyes. It was punishment, Sage assumed. He lived with it until shortly, when he righted his wrongs by taking active force against the Sith. So, to sum it up, he could easily get out of her grasp without using the Force.

"Of course, young lady."

His hands were undetained. He reached them to his neck, grabbing her hand. Instead of using brute force to yank her arm away, he used the most simple of methods. He grabbed her pinkey finger and bent it ackwardly away from his neck, against her join. The pain was severe as the finger was close to breaking. She had no choice but to pull her hand away.

He swung his arm back and stuck her with a vicious backhand, rolling with his swing as he struck. She fell off his back enough to allow seperation. Enough for Sage to excape her grasp.

She now was laying next to Sage. The Jedi Master kept rolling and was soon on top of her. He grabbed her at the elbow joints, pinning her arms down, and stopping them from moving. He straddled his legs over her stomach. He looked deep into her eyes as he spoke. When he did speak, she could not only hear his voice, but could feel it. It sent a shockwave down her spine as Sage said these words, using the Force as an enhancer.

"Can you get out of this with only the Force?" Sage asked, his voice sounding majestic.

If she made any attempt to move or strike without aid of the Force, he would pin her down further with his power over the binding energy. If she used the Force, she would find no resistance.

"Do not move Padawan Xazor," Sage said, still looking at Aura, but sensing Xazor moving towards him. "This perticular challenge does not concern you. Wait your turn."

Xazor nodded and stopped dead in her tracks. She smiled slightly to herself and watched silently the challenge in progress. Aura could do it.....Xazor could feel it and knew what she was capable of. She stood still, clasping her hands behind her back as she looked on.....

Aura sighed. Normally she would move her hips up enough, even with his weight planted on her middle, to roll back and entangle her ankles around his neck, spilling him off her as any tug would ensue with a break, but was instructed to deal with this restraint 'via' the Force. Her azure eyes fixed onto the Jedi Master peering down on his captive, as she let loose an exhaled breath and allowed the Force to permeate her body, fusing with her mind as it boosted her centralization. The thought of using rocks as decoys would be abortive, as he had previously demonstrated.

Out of the peripheral vision of his left eye, the churning of sand and debris actuated into an ascending vortex, dancing elegantly across the arena ground augmenting in size till it claimed their vicinity. Jedi Master Sage fought against the vacume as fixed seat on the Padawan was being lifted from the beckoning winds. They both were lifted and tossed across the arena crashing to the ground 10 meters from their previous adjacency. Aura groaned as her head hit first. Sage landed unscathed due to his seasoned abilities.
She stood up holding her head, as blood dripped from a gash.

"I need to work on that."

Sage sighed and shook his head.

"A simple Force Push would have done the trick. Now you are not only injured, you are drained by the excessive use of the Force. It is quite taxing on the body."

Sage beckoned his sabre to him. He ignited it once in hand and slashed at Aura's face. It didn't touch her, but came deathly close. The heat from the sabre cauterized her wound, stopping the bleeding. Wouldn't want blood on the floor.

"Fight me, with the Force. I know you are only a Padawan, but there are creative ways in which even little Force trained individuals can profit from it."

Sage disengaged his sabre and placed it on his belt. He stood in front of the Padawan, not moving.

"Your body will fail you one day. With the use of the Force I can lift more than a thousand pounds, with only my body being enhanced. Learn to understand the Force and become it's companion, it will keep you company."

The Jedi Master awaited a sign that Aura was indeed open to the Force, and was creative enough to utilize it.

OOC - How long have you been a Padawan, Aura?

Aura Allei
Mar 30th, 2002, 10:36:15 AM
"Yes, Master Sage," Aura spoke softly.

She was a bit weary from fabricating the vortex, which vanished as speedily as it was constructed. She wished to learn more of the mysteries of the Force, so accumulated her strength, as her eyes darted over to a robe lying on the ground, obviously temporarily disgarded by a Padawan in training. She held out her hand, fingers in a clutch-like grip, as if they were holding the garment, and with a fleeting rustle, the robe was piloted over to Sage where it shrouded his face. Taking advantange, the young Padawan bustled over and open palm thrusted his sternum pushing him back with the collision, then back flipped as her right foot knocked his jaw back.

OOC: Since the middle of January, off and on, but havent been trained in 3 weeks. Jubei is very busy. I was Jedi Knight Aura in the Forums. Jedah Lynch did the mind wipe on her. I learned some Force training in talk city, but mostly fighting techniques. I seem to get a writer's mind block rl with Force posts. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Mar 30th, 2002, 08:06:18 PM
Xazor quietly knelt to one knee and watched the Jedi Master and her fellow padawan learn a lesson together. She smiled at the words her Master had spoken to her once, "You use your body too much, rely on the Force....it is your ally." Now she relied on the Force every chance she had. Knowing it was a hard lesson to learn, she kept smiling and held her faith in Aura. She was strong, and Xazor knew that she could do it....

Sage Hazzard

Sage smiled as he pulled the robe off his face.

"You are talented, but you have much to learn Padawan. Take notes. This is what you will be able to accomplish in time."

Sage threw the cloth robe in the air, towards Aura. As it ascended, the robe seemed to stretch and grow. The molecules were bended and stretched through the Force. Molecules were duplicated and cloned as they spread. It grew to a length and size that was nothing short of huge. It landed on the Padawan and she could do nothing to stop it. As he guided on her, he shortened it. It tightened around her legs, bringing them together. Under the ackward postition she could do nothing but fall to the ground. The air seemed to be sucked out of the small area, as it was. Sage drew it out with the Force as he also tightened the neck area.

"Is this not more effective?"

Sage tightened his muscles and immediantly relaxed them. His mind seemed to dwelve into the Force completely as he shut his eyelids. He saw nothing but the mysterious energy, that he knew well like an old friend. He waved his hand at the cloth and it shattered into a million, zillion, peices, specks of dust. It floated in the air. The Jedi Master waved his hand again, still having his eyes closed. The specks picked up amazing speed, as it's molecules did. The molecular building blocks gained speed and rubbed against each other at increasing speed, creating tremendous friction. The specks seemed to turn into paint as it splashed against the wall. As Sage opened his eyes he could see the words:

The Force Is My Ally

The Jedi Master nodded, pleased. He didn't expect this Padawan to accomplish this, it was impossible for her to with her knowledge and control over the Force. It was a demonstration to hopefully strengthen her belief that the Force is more powerful than she will ever be. That only through learning this will she be able to abandon the flesh and bend the laws of physics.

"Xazor, I believe it is your turn," Sage said, smiling.

OOC - Well, your character needs to get a little better understanding of the Force before you can become a Knight. If you want, and I'm sure Jubei wouldn't object, you can train a bit with me. It won't be like I'm your Master but an instructor. It'd be a new thread. I was Jubei's original Master. I left for a month or so, so he was trained by someone else(I think AmazonBabe). So he'll understand. lol. If you're interested, start a new thread and I'll reply. The GJO needs more active Knights. So we need to get you started in the right direction! :) I can also give you OOC tips in that thread on what I've learned through the years(almost three RPing).

Aura was in complete awe of his undertaking and grasp on the Force.

"I see why you are a Master."

She respectfully bowed to him, standing off to a side, as Xazor and Sage commenced their training exrcise.

OOC: I would be extremely grateful. Thanks so much. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/smile.gif ALT=":)"> Yes, my knowledge of the Force is unfortunately limited. In talk city we were told not to use the Force much in combat, so I guess I got alot of practice in the melee skill department, but the Force area wasnt tapped into much. I really appreciate this ty. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/smile.gif ALT=":)">

Xazor rose to her feet and walked over to the Jedi Master.

Yes Master Sage, it does appear to be my turn again.....

She bowed in deep respect and smiled slightly as she quickly thought of what challenges he would put before her.......

Sage Hazzard
Apr 1st, 2002, 03:35:12 PM
Sage nodded, drawing his sabre.

"You must learn to use the Force to enhance your senses. Obsearve. Attack me..." Sage slowly closed his eyes, igniting his sabre. "Now."

Xazor came with a series of attacks, all expertly blocked by the Jedi Master. She worked her way around the Jedi Master and attacked from behind. Sage arched his back and placed the blade horizontal along his back, blocking the strike. He came out of it, opening his eyes and stepping away from her.

"Can you do half as good Padawan Dawnstrider?"

Xazor
Apr 1st, 2002, 03:38:33 PM
Xazor grinned brightly, her Garou canines showing. Her Master had trained her very extensivly in using her senses......and being the race she was, helped. She smiled and nodded slightly.

Yes, Master Sage.....I can use my senses pretty well.......

She said with confidence......but not the cocky type.

Sage Hazzard
Apr 1st, 2002, 03:44:52 PM
"Prove it."

The paint off the wall ran together suddenly, then formed a solid mass, a cloak. It flew on Xazor's face, covering it completely. Although the oxygen seemed to not excape.

The Jedi Master struck fiercely with his sabre, the Padawan blinded.

Xazor
Apr 1st, 2002, 03:55:36 PM
Xazor had fought in blindness before and knew what it was like. She used the Sphere of Responsibility to sense the strike and she parried the blow with quick reflexes. She turned around and sensed for the next blow, ready for whatever would befall her.

Sage Hazzard
Apr 1st, 2002, 04:35:17 PM
Sage smiled, not attacking again.

"Now, can you use the Force in this state?"

Xazor
Apr 1st, 2002, 04:42:41 PM
Xazor nodded and smiled confidently.

Yes, I can.....

She knew that she could......she had done it several times in the past and this was no different.

Sage Hazzard
Apr 1st, 2002, 05:08:26 PM
Sage nodded. He threw his sabre, fully activated, at the blinded Padawan.

Xazor
Apr 1st, 2002, 05:12:07 PM
Xazor felt the saber cutting through the Force. She used her open left hand and focused on the saber.....she then sent a powerful Force blast at it and knocked it away from her. She smiled to herself and stood, ready for the next challenge.....

Sage Hazzard
Apr 2nd, 2002, 08:50:56 AM
Sage smiled as he used the Force to rip the robe to shreads, freeing the Padawan from her blinded state. He called his sabre to him, but deactivated it and clipped it to his belt. He stood still as he spoke to the Padawan.

"Do as Aura did. Be creative, and use the Force for an attack."

Xazor
Apr 2nd, 2002, 09:52:18 AM
Xazor grinned and stood before him. She didn't need her eyes to see what was going on, so she closed them. Calling on the Force, she created a Force wall behind Sage and two very low ones....ankle trippers, on his left and right sides. She out stetched her senses all around her and called on several groups of rocks to both sides of him. She then lifted those with her mind and threw them at him through the Force. She knew they were heading his way, for she could feel them cutting through the Force. There was a small pond behind him, and she summoned the water to rise up........and then she sent it over the Force wall and soaked him. This caught him in shock and the rocks approached quickly.....she opened her eyes to see what he would do. True, she could do much better Force attacks...but she did not think she could use her weapons....and some great Force illusions come with using weapons...

Sage Hazzard
Apr 2nd, 2002, 01:30:49 PM
Sage disrupted the Force Walls through the Force. He altered the gravitational hold, sending them unstable, thus rendering them useless. He didn't have time for games.

He drew the water from his body and clothing, it rose up in front of him like a wave of liquid. It met the rocks, and together, they formed a solid mass. The rocks bent and became like putty in the hands of a brilliant sculpter, the water joined the minerals released from the rocks to make clay.

The clay was formed into Xazor's face, an exact duplicate. Again creating friction in the molecules, the clay harden, becoming permanent. A incredibly life-life, spooky almost, mask of Xazor's face floated back towards her. It dropped in her hands harmlessly.

"Call it a present."

Sage snickered.

"Be more creative. Illusions and Force Walls are not all the Force allows. Expand apon what you do know, use science as a guide, and create new uses through the Force. Try again."

Xazor
Apr 2nd, 2002, 02:55:50 PM
Xazor nodded slightly. She set the mask down and stood at attention, focusing the Force within her. She looked around her for ideas and then thought of one. She was very close to nature and thought it would help her. She could see through the Force, thousands of leaves around the surrounding area. She summoned them all together.....and a light rustling sound was heard....and suddenly it sounded like a star destroyer hovering above them. She sent the leaves into the training grounds and they formed a cyclone around Sage, confusing him for a while. She then looked above them and saw several loose rafters. She called down three of them and then they crashed right on top of the Jedi Master. To finish it off, she lifted a pile of sand with her mind, and threw it on top of the heap. She grinned, pleased with this attack.....and she hoped that he would think it was well done also....

Sage Hazzard
Apr 2nd, 2002, 03:31:29 PM
Sage stood, unscratched. He nodded approvingly.

"Well done. Although if I had simply pushed the leaves aside, I would have excaped. A Padawan, or even a Knight, cannot compete with the power of a Master. If you had attempted to keep the leaves together as I attempted to push them apart, I would have won. You see? So you must created instances where there is no choice but for me to take the attack head on."

Sage tore off dozens of long wooden stakes from the rafters that layed on the ground. They flew in the air, then took a sharp nosedive. They plunged into the ground all around Sage, creating an entirely closed off fence. The Jedi Master reached out with the Force, gathering the loose dust and sand that surrounded the area. It created a fierce storm of debris, much like a Tatooine sandstorm. The winds, created by the Master, continued as he spoke.

"Now, you have a challenge Padawan!!!" The Jedi Master shouted over the sound of the winds.

Xazor
Apr 2nd, 2002, 08:25:12 PM
Xazor watched in amazement. He was great in all he did......and extremely skilled. She smiled, though she felt in her heart that she had not done good enough. It almost seemed.......easier to do while training with her father.....there was so much pressure here. She sighed and her arms dropped to her sides.

That is really great, Master Sage.....

Sage Hazzard
Apr 3rd, 2002, 02:49:53 AM
Sage continued the assualt.

"Act Padawan! Although it might seem difficult to combat me, open yourself to the Force! It is greater than I, it will show you the way!"

Xazor
Apr 3rd, 2002, 02:52:09 AM
Xazor nodded slightly, but with more confidence. She lifted a bunch of sand with her mind and threw it at him with the Force. She lifted the beams from the ground and boxed him in, sending the sand over the edge and burying him. She then called on the wind and created a cyclone around that, so there was no way out. She smiled, thinking it was a pretty good attack.......and hoping he felt the same way too.

Sage Hazzard
Apr 3rd, 2002, 02:54:50 AM
Sage laughed. He sent a push to Xazor, knocking her off her feet, stopping the attack. The fence dissapated as well as the storm.

"You are talented. I see a bright future ahead of you."

Sage turned to Aura.

"Your turn. Do whatever you please."

Xazor
Apr 3rd, 2002, 02:56:02 AM
Xazor grinned as she rose to her feet and bowed to Master Sage.

Thank you sir...

She backed away and knelt to one knee to watch her friend, Aura, test her skills once again.

Aura Allei
Apr 5th, 2002, 11:22:56 AM
:*:..Aura was engulfed in meditation, tracing her inner most thoughts. She wondered if Jedah Lynch was correct in his prediction of her future. Was she destined for the Darkside?..:*:

Sage Hazzard
Apr 5th, 2002, 04:55:30 PM
"Aura! Are you still there?" Sage asked amusingly, thinking she was simply concentrating on her next attack.

Aura Allei
Apr 5th, 2002, 05:07:22 PM
Waking from her trance, Aura stormed towards Sage, stemming from an explosive fever of torment, after viewing a path she was in danger of accessing.

Aura charged Sage like a blinding hail, flipping over him, then sweeping him from behind as she projected an illusion she was in front of him as well, sweeping the adjacent side. She was slowly tapping into the power she had grasped as a Knight.

Sage Hazzard
Apr 6th, 2002, 03:39:09 AM
Sage dropped his Lightsabre as he fell. He flipped onto his chest as he headed for the ground. When he did hit, his chest took the blow without injury. The Jedi Master reached out and yanked on her ankles, sending her falling back. Before she could react, Sage was on her like a hound. He flipped to his feet and delivered a blow to her chest. Since she was off the ground, she flew back several meters, almost defying gravity. Sage was slowly releasing his best abilities as he sensed Aura was doing this as well. He called his sabre to him and ignited it again.

"Aura! You must meditate more often if this is the result!"

Sage smiled. She was doing well, very well. Perhaps she had found something she had lost?

Aura Allei
Apr 6th, 2002, 10:14:53 AM
"Thank you, Master Sage. Perhaps also it is my determination not to falter to Darkside temptations, that has multiplied my ambition to succeed in my endeavors."

The buffet to her chest should have pained her, yet she abolished the discomfort, numbing it with the aid of the Force. Rising to her feet, her eyes scanned the perimeter. A 3 meter log lay prone in the distance. Exercising a deep breath, she shot out her right arm, barbing her hand out to its adjacency. The timber was levitated from the ground, as it commenced its rotation clockwise, spiraling horizontally as it accelerated like an oscillating propeller. Aura then transferred her arm to Sage's proximity, as the log followed her command, soaring with affability towards its goal.

Sage Hazzard
Apr 6th, 2002, 10:48:49 AM
Sage reached out with the Force, pushing against the log as Aura attempted to guide it to the Jedi Master. He pushed and pushed, countering her power......

Aura Allei
Apr 8th, 2002, 08:28:29 AM
The log merely dropped motionless to the ground before him, as Sage diverted the momentum with his seasoned ablilities. Quirking a brow, Aura bustled over, clearing the prone timber to stand before Master Sage. Closing her eyes, she swayed a bit, diving into the vast connerstone of the Force.

With a flash, her eyes and hand opened up, sending Master Sage stumbling back from the energy push. She then called the log as it rolled towards his ankles, Aura jumping it in a timed sequence. Following in suit, Sage hoisted himself over the obstacle as well. She reversed its direction sending it back into him, just as he landed leaving him no time for a speedy evasion.

Sage Hazzard
Apr 11th, 2002, 11:37:29 AM
Sage twisted his feet enough so when he landed, he landed on the log. He used his Force enhanced skill to "roll" the log with his feet, like a seasoned veteran. He stayed perfectly balanced as he held out his newly ignited sword. The Jedi Master would attempt to fight with this large wooden obstacle under him.

OOC - I assume you mean the log is under my feet. Yes?

Aura Allei
Apr 12th, 2002, 08:13:18 AM
Nodding at his skill as he maneuvered the log beneath him, Aura took out one hilt, activating the coral yellow core grasped in her right hand. The log was perpendicular before her. Sage was exercising his control of the timber, spinning it for balance.

She feigned a stab to his right side, then in Force enhanced speed and agility, Aura hurled herself over the log while switching hands, swiping in a back-handed fashion at his adjacent flank in mid-air, the barbed core nearing his side from the back.

Aura deactivated her saber, and jumped on the log with him, spinning it, trying to throw him off, as Sage countered her roll. The exercise was amusing, as both broke out into fits of laughter. She suddenly dismounted the timber.

"I must go, Master Sage. I have uncovered my past. I must report back to the NWOL. My Master there has been worried. I reached out to him through the Force. Our bond is strong. I need to go back. Thankyou, for all your help."

She then bowed to him, and left.

OOC: indeed, np, but I leaving the GJO
