Xazor stepped into the Academy and the lights flashed on. She smiled as she quietly stepped toward the middle of the room and drew her lightsaber, "Love". Two blue beams shot forth with a hissing sound as the duel-phased saber rested in Xazor's hand. The Jedi Knight felt confident as she stood there in the silence of the room.
Now I am ready...
She thought to herself. The last time she had sparred with her father, she had lost.....but she was only a padawan. Now she was a Jedi Knight and more experienced. Now she felt ready for this....and she hoped her father would see that she was too. She was not asking for an easy fight, she wanted a difficult challenge that she knew he could give her. It would be a great test for her.....

::Verse walked up and smiled. His two sabers held in a reverse grip. They ignited and grey-silver blades shot forth.::
"You think you can handle it my daughter?"

Xazor bowed to her father and smiled.
" Yes.....I know I can handle it....I am ready."
She said confidently. She smiled once again and held her duel phased saber at waist level, parallel to the ground and ready for action. She nodded her head, allowing Verse to take the first move.

"A duel-Phase. Both are mine are as well. The ability for a saber to change lenghts is really nice."
::Verse spun on his heels ina 360. His sabers pushed Xazor back. His blades spun connecting with her own. verse pushed foward forcing Xazor take the offensive. As she swung down, Verse formed an X with his own Sabers catching her blades. Verse pushed the sabers to the right and caught Xazor with a headbutt.::

Xazor stumbled back from the headbutt and grinned slightly. He was just as good as she had remembered him. Time to show off some of her new tricks. There was an indoor waterfall behind her and she looked at Verse, an idea already in her head. She scooped up some sand with her free hand. She then created a Force cube around Verse, him being unaware. She blew the sand at it, giving the cube a physical appearance....and then she took the water from the waterfall, lifted it with her mind and cast it upon the cube. She ran over to it and placed her hand in the water. She had the ability to freeze most anything...it was odd, but the ability came in handy. Suddenly the water froze, and she pulled her hand from it right as it did. She knew that he would be able to get out of it.......but not so easy. The ice was four inches thick and hard.....the temperature inside of the cube dropped drastically and it was now freezing inside. She backed up, holding her saber in a ready stance. He had always taught that she used her body too much.....now she hardly used it at all.....

::verse mind worked full speed. He could feel the Force rushing from Xazor. So much like a river. One could go upstream though. Using the Force come from her as a guide, Verse send a mental blast. It raced up through the water connecting with teh Force. It traveled straightinto her mind. Then it tricked it. He mind work in reverse for a second. Instead of freezing teh water, she heated it up. The water unfroze and Verse dropped. he was not in the Ice long enough to have much damage done to him. As he touched ground he rolled to the side. As he came back to his feet 5 feet away, he held out his hand. He send a wave through teh Force at his daughter.::

Xazor felt the wave coming at her through the Force, and she quickly formed a Force wall between she and Verse. The blast hit the wall and bounced back at him. She grinned and allowed the wall to drop as she spun around into a defensive stance. She held her duel phased saber in front of her and grinned slightly at her Father. This was a good challenge and he was not so easy to fall for her tricks. She had to remember that he was the one who taught her everything to begin with.....
That was a good counter.....
She said with a smile, and motioned for him to attack once again.

::Verse gathered the Force in him. He Jumped high enough to get over the reflected push. He landed roght infront of Xazor blades attacking. The blades moved in a blurr. The motions so fluid that verse was able to switch the baldes from hand to hand without missing a beat. Verse pushed foward in his attack foreing Xazor to block. Holding his blades in an X shape, Verse pressed his daughters blade toward her.::

Xazor fell under her blade and kneed Verse in the stomach. She fell on her back as his momentum continued forcing him over her. She locked her legs around him and aided his fall to the ground, smashing his head into the hard floor. She rolled over to the right and stood up as she regained her defensive stance. She then noticed that there was blood trickling from her left arm. She must have been knicked by a saber and not have known it. Slowly pain crept into her arm and she tried to block it with her mind. As she waited for Verse to regain his footing, she placed her hand over the shallow wound and it closed, the bleeding stopping. She smiled and held her saber in defense once again...

::Verse sat for a second on his back still. A killer headache filled his skull Viens in teh side of his head throbbed. Verse breathed deep and used a Jedi Calming technique to help him ease out the pain. Verse rolled backward toward a planted fruit tree. He pushed up with his hands and back flipped. He grabbed a fruit in his hand. As soon as he landed on his feet, Verse threw the fruit at Xazor. Xazor smiled and prepared for an easy block. Verse had other plans though, he sent a small mind blast at Xazor. It tricked her into thinking the fruit was one foot closer than it was. Xazor swung at the fruit to catch air, the catching the fruit right between the eyes.::

The blow knocked Xazor on her back and her head throbbed in pain. She rubbed her forehead and propped herself up, looking at him for a moment. She laid back down and then flipped up onto her feet. She breathed in deeply a few times and looked at him for a moment. Her Master.....her Father.....she was now facing him and she wanted to show him all she could do. There was only one problem.....the bump on her forehead was swelling and it looked like a goosegg. She sighed, rubbing it slightly and then got an idea. She bent over and lifted some sand in her hand. Looking at it thoughtfully for a moment she blew it at Verse and created the illusion of a hundred throwing knives flying his way at full speed. She wipped out four of her own and threw them with the illusion. It would be nearly impossible to see the real ones....for they all looked the same. She grinned as the four made their marks, two right in his bicepts and two in his thighs. The illusion disappeared after he attempted to avoid several of the knives. He was deceived after giving up on the fake ones..... She grinned for that was also another illusion she had thought up on her own. She was proud of everything she had accomplished since joining...and she hoped he was too. Indeed....her life had taken a surprising change after joining the GJO. She had gained so much more than she could ever imagine. She broke from her thoughts and pulled the knives from his flesh, returning them back to the loops on her belt. They had only gone in about a half an inch, but she knew how much it could hurt.
"So.....have I become that stellar Jedi you told me I could once I blasted my anger into the sun?"
She laughed to herself, recalling the words he and Alpha had spoken to her after they had seriously reprimanded her that one day. Indeed.....that was one time she would never forget. It had been permanently etched in her mind and it could never be erased. She had not broken either promise she had made to them since that time.....

::Verse laid on his back. He had to try relly hard not to smile. He HAD seen through the illusion. He had done it to late though. When Xazor created the illusion, Verse had closed his eyes. Then he opened his Mind's Eye in the Force. The Mind's Eye only showed truth. It showed no lies, and illusions are lies to the mind. Alas, teh daggers were to close when he saw them. He moved his body so that he would take as less damage as he could. The daggers still sliced gashes in him. And they Burned like the Nine-Hells.::
"Yes. I could not be more proud. The only thing you lack in more combat experience. That will come with time though..."
::Verse opened his palm.::
"Blurr of the Milky Eye....."
:<img src=http://www.thegjo.com/forum/smileys/smilie_barf.gif ALT=":X"> azor's eye sight became very blurry. Shapes fused and warped together. Verse smiled. Another trick he had not shown his daughter. Verse was sure she would figure out both tricks soon though. She was a very smart girl. Few things got past her. Verse sweeped kicked at Xazor's legs. Normaly she would have moved, but all she could see was blurr, and she did not know when to too. She feel to the ground as Verse rolled to the side.::

Xazor smiled at her father's remark but then suddenly lost her sight. She thought for sure she was going blind. Panic ran through her as she thought about going through life, sightless. Soon, the Knight found herself on the ground. She laid there for a moment, trying to piece the whole thing together. For sure, it was another one of Verse's tricks, she was not going blind. It was alright, though, he had taught her how to fight without her sight. She kipped up to her feet and held her saber above her head. Stretching her senses out, she felt Verse standing only two and a half meters away. She ran at him and moved her body so it appeared as though she was going to strike him in the stomach. With him moving to block it, she took the opportunity to jump over his head, landing behind him. Her feet were sure beneath her body. Though her eyes could not see....she could still "see". There four loose rafters above Verse's head and as he spun around, she shook them down with the Force and they landed on top of him, crushing him beneath their weight. She heard a crunch and wondered if it was his ribs or not. She took a defensive stance once again, still blinded and waiting for him to recover from the rubble.

::Verse surrounded himself witha Force Bubble, but the rafters still hit him hard. The crack was the boards braking on the bubble. They drowned out the sound of him ribs craking. They were not broke, but very sore. Verse breathed hard. His breaths coming in labored gasps for a second. Splinters were all around him. Verse pushed the boards off him and the bubble with a quick Force blast. In turn it sent the splinters flying at Xazor.::
"Good, you can see without your eyes. Your getting real good. Before long you will be the greatest mentalist at The Greater Jedi Order."

May 10th, 2002, 11:21:21 PM
Xazor felt the splinters flying at her through the Force. She hit the ground just seconds before a large mass of them hit her, but she had failed to "see" a few strays. They dove into her skin on her arms and caused a painful irritation. She ran her hands over both of her arms and sent cooling waves through them, numbing the points where the slivers rested. She would need to remove them later. Fully rising to her feet, she smiled at Verse, though she could not see him. She knew that he was alright despite his heavy breathing. They healed quickly in remarkable time. When he spoke of her once again, she blushed a deep crimson.
"Yes, you taught me how to see without my eyes. I wouldn't be this good if it wasn't for you. And as for the greatest mentalist........I think that there is room for two....."
She said with a bright smile.

"You're not the only one with that mean set of pearly whites....."
She grinned, revealing her own elongated canines. She had once been ashamed of them....but grew to be proud of what they meant to her. She continued smiling, pressing back on Verse's sabers. She shoved him back, regaining her ground. Still unable to see with her eyes, she had to rely on the Force to "see" everything. She felt his approximate position to where she was, and then ran at him. She made the motion that she was going to jump over his head, and as he prepared for this, she moved with fluency to strike her saber across his chest. The blade closest to him had made contact, running anterior to his shoulder. She knew that she had made contact and smiled, taking a defensive stance once again.

::The Saber burned, thought it did not draw blood. Verse knew his daughter would not do seriuos harm to him, nor would he do harm to her. It was time for another mentalist trick. It was a hard art to master because it could easily be used for evil. Verse sent a wave of energy to Xazor's mind. She prepared her mind for an attack, only not to find one like she planned on. Suddenly a wave of sickness rolled through her. She grew very dizzy, then felt like she was about to throw-up.::
Xazor
May 12th, 2002, 08:09:00 PM
Suddenly Xazor felt extremely sick, as if she was going to throw up. Not knowing at first that it was the doings of her father, she questioned in her mind what she had eaten in the last few hours. Nothing really came to mind, so she tried to think of another explanation. Recalling the events in her mind, she suddenly remembered. She had felt as though he was going to attack....and then she was sick. He had done this to her, but she could cure sickness with the Force. She sent warm, healing waves through her body and after a minute or so, the nausea was gone. She felt better, though a bit of diziness lingered in her head. Still she could not see, but these factors had to be set aside if she was to do well. With a look of determination, she ran at Verse and flipped over his head. Landing safely behind him, she used a new trick she had learned. She probed his mind quickly and set an image that she was going to punch him in the face. She felt him retract and as he did, she hit the ground and swept his legs out from under him. As he fell, she set up a Force wall and he fell hard across it. She heard another crack and thought for sure it was his ribs this time. Letting the Force wall down, he fell to the ground. Xazor took up a defensive stance once again, waiting for him to attack. She had been using her skills well, and she knew that he meant her no real harm.....and neither did she mean him any harm. It was all part of the game though, and if she wanted to stay on top...she had to use a bit more forceful tactics. This spar was going very well, she thought......

May 12th, 2002, 09:42:34 PM
::The attack was well played, but the end lacked the punch needed. The Force Wall only helped Verse. What made the Force Wall an attack was a person hitting it. It did not deal damage. Itw as like Verse hitting the floor. Only thing was the wall kept Verse from falling far. The cracking sound was the same thing as when you crack your fingars. It was Verse's back that made the sound. Verse's head hit the wall though. It increased his head ache. He would be taking many a pain killer when this was done.
Verse rolled to the side and grabbed sand. As he came to a kneeling position, Verse blew the sand in the air. It took the form of millions of gnats. Using them as cover, Verse pushed off the ground and tackled Xazor.::

Xazor hit the ground hard under her father's weight. Her saber deactivated and flew out of her hand, rolling to a stop close to the wall. She still could not see, and felt as though this could pose as a disadvantage....unless she could find some way to use it for the better. Using her hands as eyes, she grabbed his forearms and felt her way up until she reached his bicept. With the Force as her aid, she raised up his upper body and placed her knees inbetween them. She called upon the water behind him once again, and collected it with her mind. The Knight threw him off of her and the very second he hit the ground, the water poured all over him. Xazor rolled to her side and got to her feet. She felt all around her.....and became even more connected with nature. Suddenly, the doors of the academy flew open and a raging wind....summoned by Xazor.....flew in. It became bitterly cold and froze the water on Verse. Since it was actually touching his skin.....unlike the "Ice Cube" from an earlier attack...it could pose a much greater potential for damage. She smiled to herself, calming the winds and closing the door with the Force. Although she could not see him, she could feel what he was doing....and was curious to see how he would get out of this one.

::The water was not in the shape of a cube this time. It was just laying on his skin. It was still cold enough to do tons of damage. Verse calmed himself with the Force. Then his lowered his own body tempature with the Force. He lowered it way past the normal limit. Thank the Maker he was Garou. His body was able to take it. Just barely though. This would stop him from taking to much damage.
Verse breathed deep. He had to consitrate. He forced his mind past it's limit with sure will. His body shook because his was consitrating so hard. The air around him moved faster. Not the whole air itself, but the particles. Faster and Faster, till it started to heat up. The air started to melt and Verse raised his body temp along with the air. Steam started to rise as Verse returned to normal. Exausted, Verse breathed deep. No attack right now, only a rest. Verse let teh Force restore him, but even that was taking time.::

Xazor watched her father closely, feeling his actions through the Force. She took mental notes, jotting down this new lesson in her mind. Everytime they were together, she always learned something new....and this was definatly no exception. She smiled, seeing how his body reacted and adjusted to the changes in temperature...and then how he used the Force to rectify the problem. She nodded and knelt to one knee, not lowering her guard...but keeping her eyes on him. The Force moves and things she was doing were not easy either.....they too brought on mental and physical stress. She smiled and bathed herself in the Force, slipping into a shallow meditative state to revive her mind and body from the strength they had lost during the spar already.....so she sat in waiting.
"Father.....are you going to be alright? My intention was not to hurt you..."
She said softly. She had seen her opponent do similar things where they would appear weak and vulnerable....but would attack once they saw her drop her guard. He had done the same during a spar long ago, and she never forgot that lesson since. She raised her guard higher now, but still held her concern for him at the same time...

::Verse feel to a knee and touched the ground. He let the Force run through him and travel through the ground. He called Gaia. He called to the planet. Roots ripped from teh ground and wrapped around Xazor. They started to slowly tighten. This would give Xazor a chance to react, as well scare her for a second.::

Xazor was startled when the roots shot out of the ground and wrapped around her. She had done this to her brother once....but could not recall how he got out of it. Thinking as quickly as she could, she began to worry as they continued tightening, taking her breath away. She then got an idea. Since she was able to control the element of cold, she used it to her advantage....often. She smiled to herself and called upon the water from the man made fountain once again. She covered the vines with the cool liquid, and then focused the Force on the water. Since her body was touching the water that was seeping through, she cooled it down until all of the water froze the vines. They stopped tightening their grip, but held the present one. She continued to think for a moment until she finished out her plan in her mind. She had done this a few times, and was getting better and better at it every time she practiced....now it was a real life situation. Since the vines were frozen, they could crack and break easier. She growled deeply and filled herself with the Force. Her body seemed to become stronger....and her muscles enlarged. All at once she yelled out and broke the icy vines around her body. Pieces went flying everywhere.....even at Verse. Her body returned to normal after the sudden burst of adrenaline. Gasping for air, she fell to her knees and touched the ground, panting as if she was dying of thirst....or oxygen. She gulped in the air in huge breaths as she focused on trying to restore the massive strength loss. Indeed, the move was good and powerful...but it took a lot out of her. Closing her eyes, she fell into a semi-shallow meditative state and calmed her breathing drastically. Still her body was weak and it would take a while for her to regain enough strength to do something like that anytime soon. The two sat there, seeming to charge their bodies with the power necessary to carry on this spar. The Force flowed in and out of them....between the two of them....and everywhere. It was a rush to feel such great Power in that very room as both of them drew from the life giving stream of the Force.

Xazor waved her arms around, batting the gnats away.
"Yes...let's.....ah! I hate bugs!"
She yelled out as some flew into her mouth. She spit them out and called the water from the fountain once again. She lifted a great amount with her mind and dumped it all over herself and every single gnat, drowning them in small puddles on the ground. She then used the Force to move the particles and atoms around her, creating heat as others she had witnessed do in the past. Soon it was very warm around her, and she dried almost completely, as well as rose her body temperature. She smiled and eyed her father while she called the winds through the Force. They picked up in a torrent of energy and blew through the doors of the academy. Leaves and sticks were carried in as well and it created a cyclone around Verse. This was a large enough distraction for her to take out a throwing dagger and lable him with it...and she did. It cut through the wind, landing just slightly off of her target in his right forearm. It did not penetrate too deeply, only just less than half an inch. She smiled and twisted it as she pulled it out of his flesh and stuck it back in her belt. The winds died down and the leaves and sticks fell on him. She laughed slightly to herself and stood ready for whatever he had.

Xazor had looked down briefly and was shocked to see the objects flying at her. By the time she realized, it was too late and a few hit her skin. Tiny cuts formed all over her arms as she fell to avoid the painful little razor blades which were nothing more than leaves and sticks. She immediatly set up a Force wall and blocked the rest from taking out any major limbs with their sharp edges. The cuts stung and irritated her, throwing off her concentration and perception. Closing her eyes, she sent a cooling wave of healing through her body with the Force. The tiny cuts closed from the inside out, and left a burning irritation to them. She was able to concentrate better now, but couldn't help itching the nics in her skin. There was a pile of bricks near the side of the wall where repairs were being made, and Xazor inadvertantly spotted them. Smiling slightly, she held out her right hand, palm facing toward them. She called the bricks into the air and launched them at Verse. He would no doubt realize this and somehow block it. After turning his attention toward the soaring bricks, Xazor focused on a loose wooden 2x4 on the other side of the room. Lifting that with the Force, she flew it through the air and then smacked Verse in the back of the head with it. The reaction would send him falling foreward, which she had another trick set up. She had lifted some of the falled pieces of wood with her mind, and they now stood upright in a "sheet of nails" type of form. Her mind had, no doubt, become a lot stronger since becomming a Knight. A lot of practice went into being able to control more than one or two things at a time. This was no easy task and she had to watch each thing to make sure they were doing what her mind was saying they were. It would be a terrible thing if the 2x4 was standing up right and the bricks were at a standstill, while the wooden pieces smacked him in the head. She kept everything balanced, waiting to see his reaction.

Xazor noticed her father using the one handed style he had taught her during training. It had proven most useful to her, several times. She stumbled back from the heavy blow to her head, but pressed on with a block. He kept moving her back, taking her ground....until she suddenly dropped to the ground and swept his feet out from under him. As he fell, Xazor rolled under him and smashed the hilt of her saber into the back of his head, just escaping from his falling weight by a few inches. She jumped to her feet and spun around, falling to land her elbow right into his solar plexis. It would take the wind out of him for a while, but not too long. Her elbow hurt a bit from the attack, but it would not bother her enough to throw off her concentration. She pushed her free hand to the ground and rose to her feet, standing in a defensive stance with her saber.

Xazor felt the wave of pressure through the Force and was shocked by it's effects. The pressure sent her all the way back into a wall behind her. She hit it hard, leaving a nice indentation of her body. The Knight fell to the floor and breathed heavily, trying to catch her breath from the blow.
She focused deeply and called on the Force to slow her heart rate down to allow her to breath at a normal pace. After kneeling and breathing for a minute or so, she finally regained homiostasis. The Garou jumped to her feet and rushed at Verse. She called her fallen saber to her hand and brought it in an uppercut motion, while in his mind, she made an image of herself coming from above. While he was a bit confused, she stopped and spun around, landing a heavy spinning back kick right into his gut. It was powered by the Force, and enough to knock a Bantha over!
