The training of Daigo Kenshu

[Master Yoghurt]

Daigo Kenshu and Master Yoghurt had met a short while ago in the Recruitment Center, where Daigo had been <a href=http://pub56.ezboard.com/fgjofrm4.showMessage?topicID=248.topic>accepted as Yog's Padawan learner</a>. They were moving along a brightly lit narrow and winding corridor sloping slightly upwards, leading to what seemed to be a dead end. The Jedi Master made a hand gesture, moving his hand in a casual but yet controlled motion. There was a rumbling sound, and the wall panel slid aside, revealing another chamber. The chamber was constructed as the inside of a sphere. The walls and ceiling covered with semi transparent cystal tiles in an intricate pattern. A beam of light cast from the top of the sphere as a silver colored repulsor powered table with various tools and training accessory descended downwards.

"Welcome to the Jedi Dojo.. but before we begin, do you have any questions? Are you confident about your path? The way of the Jedi is a difficult one and requires much dedication and patience."

[Daigo Kenshu]

*Daigo follows his master into the Jedi Academy and into the Dojo. Daigo is amazed in his surroundings, "what a beautiful place he says to himself".*

Daigo thinks about the question his master had asked him and he decided to answer this way, "Master I have many questions, too many to burden with you today. As for my committment to becoming a Jedi, I woul like to ease your mind by saying that I believe this is my destiny, my past and the powers I already possess will help me become a significant part of the Greater Jedi Order."

Daigo still looking around the Dojo asks his master, "What shall I learn today?"

The Jedi Master smiles, content with Daigo's reply.

"Today we shall learn about the Force.. a mysterious energy field that Jedi Knights have learned to use for thousands of years. In the Old Republic, the Jedi were defenders of justice.. guardians of the galaxy. To this day, despite of the Sith uprising, we remain the last hope for peace.."

The Jedi Master pulls out a cylindrical metal tube

"The Force is what gives a Jedi its powers. And this.. this is a Jedi's most precious posession; a Lightsabre. Its blade is of pure energy.. it can cut through everything. Not as clumsy or random as a blaster. Only a trained Jedi may master this weapons full potential. Feel the weight.."

Yog gives Daigo the lightsabre hilt, and watches as he holds it...

[Daigo Kenshu]

Daigo accepts his masters weapon and feels how light it actually was. He was very curious about the force since he was a boy and could use positive energy to help him in times of stress. That energy would help him make faster decisions and quicker strikes against enemies of his family, much like his father. Daigo hands the weapon back to his master.

"Could you ignite it master, I'd like to see it's length?"

[Master Yoghurt]

"Indeed, I can.. observe.."

The Jedi Master held the lightsaber gently, pointing it upwards and diagonally away from his body. His right thumb pressed the activation lever with a light touch. With a bright flash starting from the blade emitter, a glowing beam shoot out extending to the full length of a blade. The vibrant beam of pure energy pulsated and flickered, releasing a humming sound as it moved through the air. It was a spectacular sight that demanded respect:

"The blade can cut through allmost any substance. Because the blade itself has no weight and the handgrip emits no heat, it is easy to miscalculate its path. It takes years of study to master this weapon to prefection. It is an excellent tool for our students to train their sensitivity to the Force. Some day you will learn to build your own saber, but in the mean time, I would like you to have it. Take it, it is yours"

The blade shorted out, and Yog gave the hilt back to Daigo.

"Dont be shy to try it out.. it is quite a sensation when it ignites, but as long as you keep the blade free, no harm or damage will happen"

[Daigo Kenshu]

"Thank you for the gift my master." Daigo said accepting the Jedi weapon. "I am looking forward to my training with a weapons like this, as you know master, my people were warriors and I am a master of the bokken, the wooden sword, this type of weapon is very similar to what I have used before."

Daigo steps away from his master and ignites the saber. He feels a warmth of energy pulse through his body as the blade reaches full length. Daigo then starts a kata that his father taught him. Moving very mythodically like a dance, Daigo uses the Jedi weapon just as he would his bokken. He finishes the kata and deactivates his light saber and approaches his master.

"Teach me more about the force."
