First, if you have not, read this:

This grand battle will go on for months, and no group will be unaffected. Basically, I want to know what the Jedi feel about this upcoming battle.

When the battle starts, and GJO get the news of the surprise attack of TGE against TSE, what would:

1. IC be the plausible and realistic way to react.
2. Tactically and strategically give GJO the advantage.

Well, Alpha would immediately want to jump in and try to take advantage of the two groups fighting and want to try to get rid of both groups. Maybe by dividing the fleet up to attack both bases. At least, that would be what Alpha would say.

Bah Humbug. 16 views and only 1 reply. Certainly more then one person saw this thread. :p I think this is a great oppurtunity for us to work together and formulate a plan. I do hope to see more replies in this thread. It isn't just a Council Matter, but requires the input of all those allowed in Avalon.

Let me say something...This thread does not necessarily have to do with fleets. GJO doesn't have a fleet, so how else would we actually get into the battle? Infiltrating bases, IC. Fighting Sith or Imperials, IC. It doesn't take much to think up something. I bet if we meld all our brains together and create a super brain (:p) we can come up with something good for us, as Jedi to do.

After hearing about this war, I can't say for certain how they would react. The Sith are their immediate enemy, but the Empire is a group that also spreads evil across the Galaxy. I, as a Jedi would probably take consul from the other Jedi and see how they would act. This is a matter that has the potential to destroy a lot of innocent people in this clash against both TSE and TGE. We as Jedi could simply help the Imperials vanquish the Sith.

I STRONGLY advise working directly with the Imperials. After they've used us, they will most likely capture us. I say we help them in indirect ways, attacking Sith and leaving before they arrive on-scene. Unless TSE has uber tactics, they will most likely lose this war. The Empire's fleet is more then double their fleet, and TSE only has Varlon and Jyener (I think). I guess we could consider what Alpha said and find a way to attack both sides. It's really up to you guys.

We could work the NR as well, accepting missions. Whether it be info gathering, or whatever. Some of us could help command fleets, while using Jedi Battle Meditation to synchronize the fleets (as seen in various Tales of the Jedi stories). The Jedi are not directly in this war, but will be sooner or later. Most likely after TSE or TGE is defeated. We should act soon, and learn as much about both enemies and their tactics as possible.

What do you guys think?

You've got some of the strongest ships availible with the NR and the NRSF. If anything, the NR couldliterally take on most of the rest of the fleets by itself.

BTW, Jynear doesnt like TSE

I will stress only one thing - Arcan IV is out of play

I want to do something in this, but my RP situation might make it difficult. I'll have a crack though.

Just watch out for Lebron. Dont think he's my biggest fan, eh Ferris?

Well, do we actually have a reason to interfere? I mean we could see it as an opportune time to hit both sides bases but unless directly attacked its not so much involving us. We could get the NR to put ships in a defensive position around these parts, then send warrior jedi and others to do some damage to both groups...NRSF involved in this?

Liam~ The problem is that, once they are busy killing each other, the remenants will probably go after us. Though I'm a warrior Jedi and will be attacking the people anyways. Remember, I was allowed to keep a small fleet, so that could help out too...

I propose we study a painting they made. Worked for that uber character ;)

Seriously, I think thats a good idea

Alpha, that's why we have defenses. I'd like to see someone wander through here, they'd be kept busy with our defenses long enough for people to prepare an offensive in our own turf. Study a painting, Fett?

Fett meant that as a joke. Grand Admiral Thrawn used to study art of other species. It helped him understand how they thought.

And I don't think we should lay back behind our precious defenses. It's these defenses that cut us off from the rest of the Galaxy. I for one, am participating in this war with my Imperial and my Jedi.

we should also paint our faces blue. That's why Mel Gibson did it in Braveheart, to be like uberboy

And yeah, we definately shouldnt hold back. This is a chance to show us off

I'm with Fett and Marr. Let's go after them! We can wait and attack both of the parties when they are busy duking it out!

I say we wait until a third of the way though, and then muck em up.

Nichos Marr

And before that third of the way, we can collect information about the war, keep a number of losses, etc. Even if we don't actually start doing something BIG until a third of the way, we should still keep up with what's going on.

Agreed, good tactics dictate that we look before we leap.

I was thinking about this over the weekend.

What I'll say is that I dont want to have a thing to do with the "war". It's not what I want to do. I dont want to be forced into it and I just simply want to continue with what I really want to do.

Relationship based RP. Not fighting wars, I want something else. I want something I can really get my teeth into and I'm afraid this aint it.

I dont even like fighting now!

Yeah, I really said that. I dont want to fight. I found the RP I love the most are ones involving say tense negotiation. Or high emotion.

I like exploring emotions and character reactions to situations, not just in a war, but to lots of different things.

"A lot of Star Wars has to do with other then fighting."

Which, apart from the pretty explosion in ROTE, is what I much love. Dont need bright flashy fights to love Star Wars!

Or maybe I'm getting older and pretty bright things dont attract my....

Oh! Shiney! *Poing!*

*lol* I proably won't be participating, 1) I'm no good at fleet RPG things 2) I don't really RP much anyway. *shrugs* If there's a way to fit Kat in somewhere then I'm in, if not.... *shrugs* I'll continue going off into my own little world... but then again by that point I might be involved in an RP of my own. Kat still has some growing pains to go through.
