View Full Version : "I must speak with the Council at once"

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 8th, 2002, 04:15:05 PM
:: spoke a voice that nobody had heard in ages. It was a voice tempered with as much age as the man who spoke it wore on his face. Anbira Hicchoru had spoken...the first time in a year, since his return to the Jedi. ::

As you now know, my very breath has been restored to me. I realize I can no longer take refuge in solitude to hide from the sins of my past. I have made a committment to face them all.

But to face them, I must know them. Unfortunate is my destiny, but I am ready to face it. To know of the evil that my name once carried, so that I may end it once and for all.

I ask that the Council concentrate the sum of their feelings upon me, and grant me the insight to restore my memories.

I know of the danger. I know that the trauma of what I see may very well recreate the Evil I once was. Should a hateful thought rise from me, I ask that you strike me down. But should it not...

...my fullest faculties will once again aid the Jedi. As a Master of the Force.

Navaria Tarkin

Navaria observed quietly to what would be decided. She said nothing and even if the Knight wanted to, it was not the best idea. Her throat had yet to heal fully and she just wanted to show support for Anbira by being here.

Never too late to confront the past. However, it is extremely dangerous. I can not foresee wether it will result in redemption or doom. Are you sure of this?

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 8th, 2002, 05:27:08 PM
No one is more wary of the consequences than I. I carry a dark shadow, and I can only see how black it truly is through the eyes of others. Yet I know that it will not go away, unless I will it away.

I could fall, but without the risk, I cannot ascend.

I am ready.

TUJK
Jan 8th, 2002, 09:27:01 PM
The small Jedi stepped forward, her glasses hiding her eyes as usual, a faint smirk on her lips at the irony of Anbira's words.

"Some sins cannot be shown through the eyes of others... for the eyes see no sin."

She reached up and slipped her glasses off, placeing them into a pocket, looking upon Ambira wth those milky sightless orbs... sightless from her frst encounter with the man.

"And some eyes, see no longer."

She stood, looking unblinking at Anbira, waiting a responce.

:: She knew that the day would come when Anbira would wish to know of his past. She only hoped he was strong enough to bare it's full weight. ::

:: She walked forward, passing TUJK, placing a hand on her shoulder as she past. She came to stand beside the small form of Yoghurt, nodding towards Anbira, acknowledging his request to see what had made his name so feared in the galaxy. ::

I too will aid in restoring your sight into the past which has made your face and name one of the most feared. But, it's like Yoghurt said: The outcome of such a remembering can falter either way, whether it be for the best... or for the worst.

:: She looked at him, recognizing the resolution and determination in his eyes. ::

:: Anbira blinked in response to TUJK ::

I know not what you mean, but I can only assume that your malady was dealt by my own hand. I humbly apologise.

:: His aged face set firm ::

All the more reason for me to rectify what can be saved.

::A very petite figured walked in on the conversation. No expression can be on her face. She contemplated what Anbira said..really not too sure what to make of it::

::Leia looked on at Yoghurt, Anbira and the rest, to observe the proceedings::

Morgan Evanar
Jan 14th, 2002, 02:10:22 AM
"As a Jedi, I held no grudge against you when you once followed the Dark Path. I cannot show you what you did to me originally, for the mark is gone. But, I can improvise."

Morgan removed his gloves. Many people were not comfortable with people who walked about with five inch claws, so the gloves gave most some peace of mind.

A tea kettle was to one side of the council room, along with small tea cups. Water steamed as Morgan poured it into a pair of cups. He set the near-boiling water before both himself and Anbira.

The Jedi Knight's middle claws straightend from the back of his hands. Morgan placed a his left hand against his own face, and his right against the old man's, just below the temple, near the jawline.

"This will hurt a great deal, for both of us. Are you prepared for that?"

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 14th, 2002, 03:09:57 AM
:: Anbira nodded imperceptibly, his grey eyes blinking ::

I am prepared.

Morgan Evanar
Jan 14th, 2002, 10:59:18 AM
Without a hint of hesitation, the claws sunk in. There was a terrible sound of flesh being torn. Matching, bleeding cuts were on both men.

Somewhat shaking, Morgan picked up the tea cups.

"Close your eyes." His voice was hoarse with pain and concentration. Anbira did so. And with a sudden violence, the water dripped down across the wounds, hissing and searing as it went.

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 14th, 2002, 11:06:07 AM
:: Anbira flinched once, the pain terrible and tremendous as his Jedi techniques went to dealing with the horrible sensations he now felt. His hands clenched, nails cutting into the fleshy palms of his hands. ::

Morgan Evanar
Jan 14th, 2002, 11:42:33 AM
Trembling, Morgan returned the cups to the table, his hands dripping blood.

The wound was now scalded and seared, and likely permanet.

"I'm sorry."

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 14th, 2002, 11:46:49 AM
:: Anbira's eyes opened, his voice hoarse and weary ::

No. The apologies are mine, it should seem.

Warren Azalin
Jan 17th, 2002, 06:45:36 PM
"Why?"

A cloaked figure stepped forward from the back of the room and acknowledged Anbira.

"Words are meaningless without Action. Only through ones actions can redemption truly be found. Sorry does not bring loved ones back from the dead and sorry does not make one truly just..."

Carefully the Jedi pulled back his hood, letting him stare into Anbira's eyes.

"But, it's a start. It is a first step you have already taken, now all you must do is prove yourself redeemed by your actions..."

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 17th, 2002, 06:56:28 PM
:: He nodded ::

Then let the Council lend me their strength to reclaim my wisdom. I am ready, if the Council does wish it.

OOC: Basically, just requesting for the Council to lend their force aura to Anbira, so that he may use that heightened power to peer into the past, and search out his history.

Akrabbim
Jan 18th, 2002, 02:46:48 AM
Akrabbim bows and moves forward.

With my abilities, we could link, allowing you to project your past into visible images. If you wish, I will open my mind as a conduit.

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 18th, 2002, 02:54:21 AM
:: Anbira nods ::

Your help is appreciated, Akrabbim. But it will require more than our efforts alone.

:: He looked to the other council members ::

I implore you all to join me in this link.

Warren Azalin
Jan 18th, 2002, 03:04:58 AM
Stepping next to Akrabbim Warren nodded to both men.

"If knowledge is what you seek then you have my help as well."

Jan 18th, 2002, 06:45:40 AM
:: Anbira slowly nodded....and closed his eyes, his every feeling searching through the force, peering through its misty veils that hid the past and the truth. Yet as he had tried before, it was still unclear to him. Now, he waited for others to grant him their power of insight. ::

::Leia seem perplex but thought everyone deserves to know about their past. The petite jedi step forward and placed her right hand on Anibira's forehead. Closing her eyes momentarily...Anibira can feel a sensation from the force. The Jedi Master was sending some of her visionary force powers to Anibira. This would truly aid him with visions of the past and future::

::After what seemed milliseconds. The Jedi Master removed her hand and smiled at Anibira::

I truly hope that helps you on your quest. Everyone deserves to know about their past. Godsped Anibira.

"He who seeks shall find.."

Yog moved toward Anbira, holding some sort of amulet in his left palm. The medallion shaped object was made of glittering transparent crystals, fractioning the light of a red glowing gem in the center.. the legendary Kaiburr Crystal of Circarpous V, also known as "Mimban". The crimson colored stone had the ability to enhance the user's Force strength, increasing the holder's perception of the Force. The priests at the Temple of Pomojema had studied its properties for centuries, learning of its healing powers. Unfortunately, it had little power outside the Temple it originally belong to, but still.. somehow, it had this weird glow in the Jedi Master's hand..

"May the fog clouding Anbira's mind and vision vanish. Only through a true heart and courage, he shall gain strength to find redemption and Light. May the Force be with him.."

Yog extended his right hand pointing it to toward Anbira as some form of vibrant energy rushed through his arm. The air hummed in resonance as the entire Council focused upon Anbira. The floor trembled slightly as the Force streamed through the walls of the Council chamber as a river. With the combined efforts of the Jedi Masters standing in a circle around Anbira, Yog voiced toward him, "What do you see, Anbira?"

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 27th, 2002, 08:10:42 PM
:: The six most poweful Jedi of the Order lent Anbira their insight...and the cloud around his mind lifted at last. With his hand tucked into his robe, the old man gripped a small green stone, it glowing brightly yet hidden away. The choir of indecipherable whisperings from the Lith melded with the words of the Council, and suddenly, a story began to unfold. A winding tapestry of tales, spanning years and years. All around Anbira, the room darkened, and moments in time flashed before him. Of a child tilling endless amber plains of orchards. Of fires and tribulations. Of his hands, stained red, and his people fallen. His face ached where his long scar was, the searing light of Darth Turbogeek's lightsaber slashing down and defeating him.

He saw the ones who now granted him the wisdom he sought. Sitting in a circle, he sat among them, austere yet much younger. He watched a war rage on, an insidious enemy defeated, only to rise again. Anbira watched himself become betrayed, and enslaved...falling to the dark. Fire surrounded his footsteps, across the charred lands, casting war and hell to armies under his feet. Then where there was one, came two. Light and Dark. Light overcoming dark. The enemy was defeated again, but the pain lingered still, until the pain itself became the enemy. The heros own scars became the daggers in his chest. His enemies bested at last, he existed only in confusion...having lost his way...

...but now, at last, he was found...was blind, but now he saw. ::

I...

:: Anbira collapsed to the ground, a dull green rock rolling out of his hands ::

Navaria Tarkin
Jan 27th, 2002, 09:21:23 PM
Overwhelming concern caused her to run over to Anbira side, not caring what the outcome was in his insight nor what the Council thought. It wasn't her place but Anbira was very dear to her.

She gently laid a hand upon his shoulder in comfort and picked up the stone that had fallen. Navaria knew it was a favorite trinket of his. Leaning her head down, she tried to gauge what was going through Anbira's mind.

All there was to be found was pain and understanding.

Garik Loran
Jan 28th, 2002, 01:51:35 PM
Stern faced and quiet with the understanding of one who's peril had been just the same, Garik stepped close and kneeled alongside his friend.

"Let not this anguish remind you of your fate, let it remind you that you have yet to live and to serve the light my friend."

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 28th, 2002, 02:31:33 PM
Ahh....

:: Anbira moaned wearily, the age beset in his face taking its toll. He looked to Navaria, and then heard Garik's words. ::

I...am not the man you once knew, old friend.

:: He sat up with much labored effort, sighing deeply ::

But our experiences are now shared. I feel quite old now, indeed.

Akrabbim
Jan 28th, 2002, 08:42:56 PM
Lending his strength to Anbira had been draining, but Akrabbim finally regains his composure. He sees Anbira recovering as well, and then looks toward Navaria. His eyes widen in horror at the sight of the small green stone.

Drop the stone! NOW!

Without giving her time to react, Akrabbim rushes her, slapping her wrist to make her drop the stone. As it hits the ground, Akrabbim draws his unbreakable katana, slashing down at the stone...

... only to have his blade deflect off the stone. The stone is left without a scratch.

This stone must be destroyed. We have no choice.

Navaria Tarkin
Jan 29th, 2002, 12:19:00 AM
The hit stung her wrist and she grabbed it in reflex. Navaria stared wide-eyed at Akrabbim, wondering what was going on. Then it happened.

His katana didn't even dent the stone as he sliced at it with expert precision. Such a thing to be witnessed this up close was a shock and Navaria scrambled to her feet.

Her blue eyes looked on in awe at the stone.

"What is that thing?"

Akrabbim
Jan 29th, 2002, 01:36:13 AM
It is evil. No other name describes it well enough. It must be destroyed.

Navaria Tarkin
Jan 29th, 2002, 01:58:35 AM
"But your blade didn't even scratch it ..."

She looked to Akrabbim.

"... by the way you speak a sabre won't either. How can we destroy it?"

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 29th, 2002, 05:57:38 AM
...there is only one way to destroy such a thing.

:: Anbira rose to his feet, as if seeing the stone he had owned for such a long time...for the very first time ::

And destroyed it must be.

An artifact of immense power, but hidden purpose. A jewel crafted in malice, and lustrous with the souls of a thousand fallen. Only in proximity to a greater orb of evil can its power be undone.

:: Gingerly, he picked it up, gazing at it. The stone, as if feeling betrayed by its user's ill-gotten wisdom, glowed bright, despite those around him. A chorus of separate voices filled his ears in a rising whisper. He could hear them pleading him, calling him. ::

No!

:: Now gifted with the wisdom of his past, Anbira was not so easily courted by the stone. His hand jerked open, flinging it to the ground. His breath returned to him in a relieved sigh ::

For only on the dark planet Byss can the Laenos Lith truly be undone.

AmazonBabe
Jan 29th, 2002, 06:19:29 AM
:: Her blood had gone cold feeling the darkness from the stone. She had not thought it to be of any danger until Navaria had picked it up. Through her, she had felt the power it channeled. Akrabbim's quick reaction was commendable. ::

:: Looking at the stone, it in itself, was beautiful, smooth, green. But it was what it held that made it ugly. ::

:: She looked at Anbira as he spoke of how to destroy it. ::

You cannot travel to Byss alone for this task. To many dangers could come to pass.

:: She stepped forward. ::

I will accompany you.

Navaria Tarkin
Jan 29th, 2002, 02:02:48 PM
"If you wish it, I'd want to lend my strength and go with you."

Navaria looked at Anbira... he was still tried, drained from the Council helping him regain his memories. The lure of the stone would be difficult unto itself besides making the journey to Byss.

A more prominent factor made Navaria speak. Both she and Anbira's paths seemingly were interwoven. It happened countless times already as it has with their other incarnations.

"I know my place is at your side, Anbira."

Akrabbim
Jan 29th, 2002, 08:27:10 PM
I, too, will join you. I have seen this stone in a dream, and I know of it's powers. It is my opinion that a ysalamir should be obtained, to perhaps mask or dampen the stone's powers.

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 30th, 2002, 12:24:46 AM
:: He nodded his head ::

Yes. Its powers must be dampened.

Morgan Evanar
Jan 30th, 2002, 12:46:59 PM
Morgan had remained quiet during most of the ordeal. While the wound on Anbira's face was comparatively fresh, his was already partially healed.

"I'd be ideal to carry the ysalamiri. The effects would probably hinder me less than anyone else."

Anbira Hicchoru
Jan 31st, 2002, 03:57:44 AM
Then we must bring one forward immediately, and contain the Lith's power.

AmazonBabe
Jan 31st, 2002, 10:16:41 PM
:: AB looked at Morgan. ::

It would seem we will have to travel to Myrkr to aquire the ysalimiri.

Though I am sure there are certain markets we can go through to buy one. But how reliable those markets are is to be seen.

Our best bet would be to aquire one ourselves.

:: She turned to Anbira. ::

Perhaps our quest should start there. And then, after getting the creature, we move on to Byss.

:: She wasn't giving orders. Only making a suggestion, and waiting to see what the others would say. ::

Akrabbim

That may not be necessary. I do know of a certain bounty hunter by the name of Sanis Prent who may be able to help us... for a price.

:: Anbira spent several moments in thought on the matter ::

I have little knowledge of him, and my experiences with bounty hunters in my previous memory leaves little to be trusted. But our options are even fewer than those we can trust.

:: He turned to Navaria ::

Very well. The first leg of our journey shall be to find this Prent, if he can help us.

Navaria returned from Yog's (http://pub56.ezboard.com/fgjofrm2.showMessage?topicID=1593.topic) and bowed to the Council.

"I was lucky in finding Sanis. He has agreed to help us in acquiring a ysalamiri. Tomorrow at 10 am, we are to meet him at landing pad 33 for all those that wish to go along. That will include me and up to eleven others as well."

She looked around the room to see acknowledgements for those that agreed to go and for anyone else that had decided while she was away.
