I remember a long while back seeing/hearing about a special force power someone had. Cardinal/Bel had read up on and perfected a way to create a force whirlwind, and at the time I don't think I ever saw anyone doing anything of the same nature.

I was wondering, does anyone have an powers like this? Just curious.

Hmmm... wha?... Oh. To my knowledge, no one has this power, but there are some that have perfected ways of using the elements to their advantage. For instance, I can manipulate nature (more specifically, plants and the like), but by nature, it also includes cold, heat, wind, rain, etc. Though my primary hold on nature are living plants and flora and whatever else falls under that category.

I see ... and did you under go much training or write out any sort of backlog to show the history of your gaining these powers or was it just sort of ... part of the original AB package?

Well, part of it is the original AB package deal (I also kinda used the fact i was using Poison Ivy's pic, and kinda thought the idea to be neat), and the other part is RPed out because she is from a planet by the name of (can't remember now, but will get name later... it's sometimes refered to as the "Rogue Planet"). basically said planet is very attached to life and elements and interacts with it, almost manipulating it if you will. (The last part is more recent after doing quite a bit of research... yes, I finally found a home planet for AB. Only thing is, is that the planet took off years ago... literally. As in there were repulsers on the planet and it escaped before the Empire could take a hold over it. I was born to refugee parents on another world. I've always wanted the world I grew up on to be Myrkyr, but i'm not sure if it would fit. Ok, I'm rambling. )

Anbira has the ability to manipulate all aspects of the physical realm. While a whirlwind would be difficult, it could possibly be done.

DT used to be a real master a this one. It's called weather control and he was very, very presice and deadly with it. He beat up Bel with it as well

But also, he was very care fo=ul to set it up over several turns, being as it takes some real skill and control - one does not pull a tornado out of ones ass, except by farting.

Would a freball be within the relm of elemental control? Alpha uses fire and heat as his primary element.

Yes. Again, DT did it

But I'm rather uncomfortable with using it. WAY too powerful for what I think a Jedi can do.

Well it's not a big fireball. Just enough power to burn, abd even then its more focused on causing pain then any real damage.

Jedi can create pain without making people burn ... sounds more sith like to me then just weather control or elemental control

I'm actually fairly uncomfortable with the concept of throwing flames / wind / etc at all now. While it might be cool.....

It doesnt really seem to be really syncing up in my mind, I guess in a fight situation I just dont see how you can maintain the level of control for long enough to achieve these things.

Yes I used to use such things..... but......

One of the reason I now tend to not fight a lot and stich to relationship RP

True, fighting is happening so fast in all honesty, you really can't do much cept, lunge, parry, dodge, kick, punch etc ... all that other things a Jedi can do is quite limited. Combat is much easier table top wise since that IS how combat goes but when you are writing, you get so sick of doing the same thing over and over again that you WANT to do something that really can't happen in the span of nanoseconds you got =\

eh ... I wonder if that made sense

Well Anbira's "plasma sphere" is based on a principle of physics, where matter under high pressure will increase in heat, and will move up the matter level hierarchy. Past the gaseous stage, is plasma, which is the stuff in neon signs, etc. Its a glowey kind of energy stuff (don't know how to describe)...but when it hits, its a shockwave and a quick searing blast of heat.

The huge drawback of this is that...once drawn up, this craps gotta go somewhere. I can't make one, then unmake it. If its created, its gonna boom somewhere.

Another downside is that a lapse in concentration will cause it to explode. This can happen due to weakness, a suprise attack, or mentalists. Anbira's practically unstoppable in the physical realm to some degree, but against people with mentalism and illusion power...he's VERY vulnerable.

Marcus - I remember reading that thread, I think. You were tweaking with the temperature if I remember right, since Bel was noticing it becoming increasingly cold.

Anbira - If only your concentration was easy to break that fight I'm in with you would be so much easier right now
