Just wondering what others used. Verse uses a one-handed Saber style and a twin saber style (Saber in each hand). Does anyone else have a strange style?

Also, are we going to start a group like Ravenwing again? I just was lookin' at old Thread with my old Maste, and remebered the group. Any chance something like it will return?

By nature I am a pacifist who will do all which is possible to aviod violent conflict, but I still need to learn how to defend myself with a saber should such means become neccessary. As it is, I would rely on my intellect and strength in such a situation.

Satine uses both the katana style (two handed), and the fencing style (one handed)...He's multi-skilled.

Nash uses both hands for his sword and LS.. But he learned how to use the force to use his sword faster and have it not take much a tole in the long run without doing anything because of its lagging size and weight.

I was about to say if I could move this where everyone could see it and then I remembered DUH! All Jedi allowed in here.....

Typically, if you fight with two weapons, they need to be shorter or lighter. This to maintain control of the weapon itself and they will tend to be used closer to the body, plus the weapons themselves will have a centre of balance closer to the middle of the device.

I would use my sword or sabre excusively, not both at one time. The sword is not meant for one handed combat, more power and control can be bought with two hands. ALSO, twin weapons does reduce the amount of martial moves you could do - taking your hand off your sare and punching an opponent is a nice trick, but not one to really be done with twin weapons.

Dasquian uses a single beamed saber, two handed grip for good control, whereas Thanatos would use a twin saber or one in each hand to cover more ground in a shorter time.

I think it would be a little easier with Light Sabers for duel weapons (Light wieghs nothing), but I agree, it does cut the martial arts down. That is why I use one handed and which to duel weapons. I also use them in a reverse one-handed grip. Much like Adi Gallia. Only I use two sabers where she used one.

I use my saber a lot, but then again I use my sword a lot. I find that fighting with my saber is easier because I don't have the heavy weight of the metal dragging my reaction time down. I like to do a lot of hand to hand with my saber. I heavily use martial arts and my saber together.

I dont use my sabre much. I rather instead like my Force Pike. I very much am a hand to hand combat specialist first and sabre fighter second.

Anbira Hicchoru

I lost my saber in a fight...but as it stands now, I hardly need one.

Anbira is a master of the physical realm. Think Magneto...but he can do that stuff with ALL matter. He has an advanced technique to siphon the air around him into a tight-bound blade of plasma around his hand (Think the soul reaver blade). However, this is dangerous...because this energy can't be dispelled, and when released, blasts out in rather energetic explosion. It can be safely directed away, but if he loses his concentration, it can hurt him quite badly.

As for his fighting style, Anbira has that heavy kind saber fighting technique, like Luke or Darth Vader. Slow but very powerful swings.

Jubei SaDherat Vader

Jubei on the other hand, will never use a lightsaber...no matter what. If he ever uses a weapon, it will be one guaranteed to be non-lethal. However, he is immensely skilled in martial arts, and non-lethal incapacitation.

Morgan Evanar

Morgan prefers straight hand to hand combat. It usually lends itself to his advantage (being 2 meters tall, etc.)

Its very common for him to mix mele with ranged weapons (IE railgun and lightsaber) when the situation demands it.

Jubei~Like a manriki-gusari, or something like that?

Alpha also uses a variety of other weapons, and knows how to use most others around here.

Navaria tries to avoid straight on combat at all possible. It reminds her too much of Dalethria But she isnt afriad to break out the sabre if needed.

She uses a single bladed sabre and weilds it with both hands. Considering her focuses, more of a mentalist when it comes to messing with people in a fight.

Figrin D an

Figrin's combat style is based upon fighting for 'centre.' A single-bladed sabre, strong defensive postures, very difficult to penetrate. Offensive attacks are generated from his defensive postures by taking advantage of an opponents mistakes, then countering with swift but powerful moves, including sabre- martial art- and Force-based. The style allows him to fight for extended lengths of time and wear down an opponent if needed. However, it also allows for the quick dispatch of an unskilled enemy, providing for a solid balance.

The style usually calls for the sabre to be controlled with both hands, with minor adjustments as the situation dictates.

Aura uses two single bladed sabers, but uses only one if her opponent uses one.
OOC: I was intensely trained in a talkcity group with two singles, very similar to real life kitanas, so I know tricks and counters. While my martial arts is limited, I make up for it with my sabers.
