Okay, <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> like four people voted after me and didn't answer my question so I will ask it here instead of clogging the thread up more.

Padawans allowed to vote.. I am unclear about it since last time, Padawans were just being allowed in here and Knights and Masters were the ones voting last time that I recall.

Personally, I don't mind and welcome it since it was the reason all jedi have access here.

Well, maybe it should be Padawans who have been here for a month. Because otherwise, they'll just vote for they're Master and who they have talked to. Then it's a popularity contest, not a true search for the best men/women.

Actually, we have a tradition for only allowing the votes of Knights and Masters because they know how things are organised and it prevents excactly those kind of scenarios Sage was talking about. I was talking about it with Leia and Anbira earlier, and expressed my sceptisism allowing Padawans to vote.

However, with the minimum length membership idea Sage is proposing, it might work after all. With one month membership, they would have some chance to get orientated.

Ah yes, paperwork. The joys ... but honestly...since avalon is open to all Jedi those here deserve a chance to vote with the month limit.

If it comes down to it ... we can do a Padawan roll call and state when you joined.

Also, let's say a month's time OOC. Because for Sith or the like who know the place well, but have a new Jedi character, they should be able to make a calculated decision. Like Gav, who's Loki. I'm not sure how long he's been around IC with Loki, but he knows the Jedi well enough to make an informed decision.

The rule right now is whomever has access to Avalon. In fairness, you have to have the present rule stand while the vote happens and rectify for the next vote.

Sorry guys, but you just cant do that in the middle of a vote. Decide now yes, but the oversight has to stand for now.

Actually, you are right. Changing the rules in the middle of a vote, does not seem like a good idea. But did you not say, only for those with access to Temple Avalon could vote? It is kind of hard posting votes without the access, lol

Probably should retally the votes from scratch.. not vote from scratch mind you, to make sure everyone is counted.

I woke up one day and it was at the top of the page: COUNCIL VOTE. My little brain went hrmnnmn, what about the uber new blood. But we can rectify that next time.
