I wish to know what the council votes for my padawan, Thomas Duo for Knighthood?

I'm sorry if this thread is not up to par, like I said, this is my first time bringng up one of my padawans up for Knighthood here.

Honestly..I think you are right Helen.

Four council members are still needed to vote. But this is how I see it.

The 4 are:

Akrabbim: not around much
Nichos: not around much
Warren: around a lil
Amazonbabe: Usually around

So...a standstill for now. So what do you council members say.

Today was actually the first day I'd seen this thread, even though I've been here quite frequently for some time now.

I don't know Duo much, though I have seen him post. Lemme reveiw links.

EDIT: Well, I reveiwed the threads, and I found nothing profoundly, uh, profound.

Though he has been here a long while, I wonder if perhaps some participation in some of the bigger RPs in the B&G and/or SWF would be more beneficial to his growth.

I am sympathetic to the fact he has been a part of GJO for quite some time now, but that in itself does not warrent promotion. He must prove himself not just in spars, but also in missions.

Unless other evidence of his promotion is presented, I'm afraid my answer must be no at this time.

Just to be clear, AB's thoughts echo my own. No amount of training will replace real experience, and Thomas Duo is NOT ready.

Ok...Now I just took a look at this as I took note at what Anabira said. And this is what I see...

Tom Duo is very well trained. I can not deny that, but...if I was in my council chair now I would have to vote "NO" too.

Reasoning...he has just trained. I see no signs of any outside experiences from the Academy. Now..if you can show me any experience in the battlegrounds and or dealings with the sith, this would be of help. If not...this Jedi Padawan needs experience. Its as simple as that.

Upon further examination, I think he has got potential, but is lacking real experience. I propose he then be trialled to that our concerns may be eased. If he is not comfortable at SWFans, then here will do - but SWFans is preferred. I have an idea in mind, but I would hear suggestions first.

Although I am no longer a council member, just the horrible thought that Vader may be amongst us again makes me ill at ease for the good of this galaxy. I think it is very wise to have it investigated and being Duo is a very skilled padawan, he would be a good choice for this mission.

OOC~ huh .. I was around forever as Navaria and was promoted without much doing at swfans. I only started to post at swfans more as Navaria roughly the same time as I was Knighted.

So .. backstory wise, yeah ... Navaria went through some serious crap that I did flesh out and did RP out but it happened the same time.

How is this any different then tomduo being promoted? He was around for a long time and had little experience at swfans like me...

Also, I didn't know how to explain this IC since well, it would make no sense LOL =P

We should think about this issue and discuss it, not just for Tom's case but for when it arises in the future.

If there is indeed a being masquerading as Darth Vader, or if he has even been cloned and lives, then it is a threat we must investigate immeditiately. The last thing this galaxy needs is a Sith like Vader. He could rally all Sith in the present galaxy.

I too feel Tomduo would make an excellent Jedi to investigate this. He is intelligent and witty, and should do well.

I have had contact with this man claiming to be Vader. But something was odd about his Force signature. It seemed strangely... familiar. I have never met the real Vader, so this leads me to believe that this man is an imposter.

Xazor had been listening to everything Marcus was saying, through their life bond. Without hesitation, she was at the temple, making her way toward the council chambers. The doors were closed, but she opened them and briskly walked in. She knelt to one knee and bowed her head, speaking only a few simple words.

I have encountered him...

She rose to her feet and looked at the faces of the council members.

Great Jedi Council....I, Xazor Dawnstrider, Jedi Knight of this Order and humble servant of the Light....have seen this man. No....I have....experienced his wrath. He is dangerous, but my encounter with him was shortly before my promotion. Yes, I was indeed a padawan, and paid a dear price.

She removed her cloak, exposing her arms. Pointing to her left arm, she looked at the council members once again.

He cut my arm off, just below my elbow. I was fortunate, though...for Jedi Master Q'Dunn and Jedi Master Sage saved my life. I would have bled to death if not for them. I was taken to a very good doctor who was able to reattach my arm in a surgical procedure.

The thought of the whole experience sent chills down her spine. The Knight could tell much more about the encounter, but thought it wise to let the council speak.....

After hearing everything that has been said, Navaria finally spoke up.

"You already know how I feel about this test ... but ..."

She looked to each member of the Council.

"Your minds have already been set.... If he is to go... he is to not go alone."

Her eyes fell on Xazor.

"Capable as our once Padawan was, even she almost died at the hands of this possible imposter. The Force was indeed fortunate that she lived because Jedi were able to reach her in time."

Navaria turned to address everyone.

"Might I add, not just any Jedi ... but two Jedi Masters. I will not send Tomduo to his possible death without one Jedi accompanying him."

Xazor nodded in Navaria's direction. She hesitated for a moment, but then spoke, hoping she was not out of place.

I am willing.....if it pleases the council. I know how this.....Sith works.

She said softly, humbly bowing her head.

Akrabbim steps forward.

Though I am not a Master, I too would like to confront this imposter.

Xazor looked up and saw Akrabbim. She smiled and bowed her head in respect to the fellow Knight.

I do not wish to speak out of turn.....or appear disrespectful....but I think that Akrabbim and myself would do a fine job. I have constant connection with Jedi Master Q'Dunn...and I think that we are quite capable. Only, though....if this pleases the council....

She bowed to the members once again, to show that she was saying this out of sincerity, not meaning to be disrespectful for speaking out of turn.....

Tomduo, though needing this test, should not go alone and shall be accompanied by two Masters. But the Masters will only observe and not interfere with the Padawans test. this is, after all, to see whether he is fit for Knighthood or not.

She said confidently to not only Anbira, but the whole council. She would make sure nothing tragic happened to this young padawan.

Well, if you look at the "Children of the Atom" RPG board in his profile, you might have some insight on the matter. He posts there a lot it seems, yet I almost never see his name on the boards here. Not on the "who's online" or in posts. So it seems to me he's having fun over there and kind of made an excuse here so he could just leave. That's my reasoning anyway. Could be wrong.

Hey all, sorry been a bit busy here and there.

I did question Tom about his role playing*I forgot which thread it was in, here at GJO* He said something about being occupied with other things. I too would have liked to see him more active at SWFans too.(I wish I could be)He just didn't really seem all that interested and my hands were rather tied because he had been active in the academy but no place else.

Like I said, I'm not used to what is expected over here completely yet, I'm learning though.

However, for what it is worth and although Thomas has left, I think the council made the right choice with Thomas being tested, though I'm not sure he would have done it, to be honest. I've not seen him ever post at SWFans.

Also a note on Warren, he's having pc problems, apparently his pc has died, I believe just yesterday he sent me a message by email, so I don't think you'll be seeing much of him until he can get it fixed.
