I went to the old battleground. This is the earliest thread I could find with me in it. It's not very long though, and techinically not finished. But something to look at if you're in the mood for viewing the past. I think I was still a Knight then.

BTW, he's not evil, really. Lex is just selfish. BTW, I think the kryptonite made him super smart, but hope it didn't. I like the idea of a normal man, so brilliant he can outdo the man of steel.

Oh, I agree about Lex not being evil (yet)..

He's not even selfish, in my eyes.. I feel bad for him. He looks at Clark, and Clark's family.. and he's jealous.. He looks at his own father, a father who doesn't care if he lives or dies.. and he looks at Clark's dad (who absolutely hates him)..

Clark is the first real friend, it seems, that Lex has had in a long time.. and I think he really envy's him. Nothing Lex has done in the series has truly been evil.. Many people just regard him with scorn because of who his father is.

I wonder what happens to cause him to become THE Lex Luthor, though. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/image/emoticons_classic/smile.gif ALT=":)">

I think he'd trade it all if he could have Clark's family.. so sad :(

I think he's selfish in the fact he's ruthless, without regard for those he doesn't care about. I don't know... Maybe he isn't. I KNOW he envies Clark though, absolutely.

I think that slowly Clark and Lex will drift apart in ideas. Clark wants to help people the right way, Lex wants to help those he cares about by undercutting others.

That, by far, was my favorite one.

And, about Lex.. I don't know.. maybe I see him differently than you do. I see him as generally striving to be good.. but things just keep on setting him back. (I honestly thought that when his father opened up the trunk in the last show, that the guy would be dead).. I dunno.. I don't see him as evil, necessarily.. or even a bad guy..
