Edited: I revised mine. Marcus is staying out of this one. I agree Xazor is too new of a knight, although skilled and around a lot. So..I thought about it and changed it to Verse. I had been thinking its good to see this knight around a lot again and he is very skilled. Looking for him to make Master one day soon.

And let me think about the last one. I think Xazor is around more than enough and is developing well, but just has not been a Knight long enough. If this was two months later, I would have no hesitation. I will consdier this last vote carefully.


I've now considered. This was a hard call between Verse and Xazor, but the fact is, if I am goign to vote for Helenias, who has been a Jedi for less time IC than Xazor, then I cant use the defence of inexperience. I still go for Verse, but just. I forsee that Xazor will almost certainly make the Council next time around, so I believe she should be made ready for that eventuality.

I will add this - the last Council underperformed IMO. Taking three weeks to get enough votes to pass soemthing is not on. I expect the new Council to attend to duties much better and if they dont have the OOC time, to hand over to someone whom does. Dont vote for favorites, vote for people who will get the tasks done and look after GJO.

Let me think about the last two. Xazor is good enough, but although I don't mean to hurt her feelings, her character isn't as experienced as a Jedi Council Member should be.... let me think.

To clearify to anyone wondering, this vote is unlike the votes where the council votes. This is voting FOR the council, who will be on it. So choose wisely. :) And please, no voting for yourself.

Hey, I remember I was the first Knight on the council here. I think. The only Knight I believe. Just remembering... :)

OOC: I put Xazor for two reasons. She shares many if, if not all, my views for the most part. If I am not on there, well I put someone on there that will do what I would do. Also, many say she is not experienced enough. Is she isn't, this will push her up a notch. It can't hurt her, only help. Besides, she is on her daily. she posts everywhere. Might as well put her on this.

I will state my opinion on Xazor. I believe she has been with us for more than 5 months and her level of participation deserves some recognition. There is no formal minimum requirement for being voted, other than having the rank of Jedi Knight. Not only is this condition satisfied, but one might argue such rank was granted overdue. While her relative lack of experience is an argument against her chances, there are other conciderations that speaks in her favor; namely level of activity both IC and OOC wise, reasonable/useful opinions, and a sincere dedication to the group and the posters of this forum. As this should be an open democratic community, it is prudent that the voters wish is recognised and in order to secure presedence for a clean organised voting procedure, I would suggest the votes in her favor concidered valid.

My recommendation: Xazor is qualified and the votes should count

I agree with Yoda. Far as I knew coming in here, Knights and Masters are candidates for being voted in on the Council. It is up to all Knights and Masters to use their best judgement when deciding who you wish to serve as Council Members.

Now ... that brings me to this... there are some Padawans voting here. I am asking this because last vote, no Padawns voted. Curious, everyone gets a vote because I was under then impression, since last vote <img src=http://www.thegjo.com/forum/smileys/magtongue.gif ALT=":p"> , that it was Knights and Masters.
