More Padawans to be promoted?

I wouldn't know of any potential candidates anyway, but is there any padawan list or something that people can look over to make that decision? If not, it would probably be a good idea to start one. Just to sorta keep track of who's who and who's still a padawan. Perhaps a thread in the Academy?

I'd just like to say, that my brother(D'Mourning Orb), will be ready short time. He already has the writing and rping skill in my mind(yes, I'm bias) all he lacks is character skill. That's partly my fault to, I haven't been training him. But once his character is ready, he'll be a great contribution.

Once I get done with this thread with him, we'll be going down the right track.

Just thought everyone would like an update on progress. If I remember correctly, I am yet to have a Padawan promoted to Knight(that I've actually trained). So let's hope this goes well.

BTW, I think Xazor is ready. I don't know about her character, but she's ready. I suggest to all that want their Padawan promoted, please give one or two threads for reference to the skill of the character and writer. Thank you.

I'd say Thomas is ready, though i have yet to see him really complete an entire spar, though that's not his fault. He has made attempts to complete them.

I believe that he is ready for Knighthood. He has been around for quite some time, he's been very patient too, active enough. He's very focused and doesn't give up. I've taught him all the basics or what I feel he needs to know. He's very determined.

Well, there's not much more for me to say. He's the first padawan I took on here, I believe. I have two others now. I'm not really sure how you all go about knighthood here, do you do trials or anything?(that's what I am used to)

Curious ... Dasquian. He is all over the forums at swfans and my thread with him is progressing. Seems more like me helping our time displaced Jedi aclamate to his new surroundings, as well as more advanced force techniques.

Considering the backstory of the character and who plays him, should he be a Padawan or Knight?

I've been pondering this myself and was curious as to what y'all think.

I suggest the Elieen solution - no official rank. Too good to be a Padawan. Maybe grant Knight rank after "x" amount of time, say 3 months.

I should add for the people here - one of the unwritten rules of promotions here is that you never "push" for a promotion and you certainly do not get political about it.

If your good enough, you'll get noticed, or your Master will put you forward

I'm glad to see some good fresh meat around here. For a while there I was worried about the future of the Jedi, we seemed to be on the decline. We've got tons of Padawans that will be ready for promotion in short time. I'm very happy with what I see.

Yeah, I actually felt the promotion of Aura was more of a formality really. Just waiting for news on possible/planned roleplay that would lead to her promotion. I would have hoped she returned some day.

No one can question her roleplaying ability (she is played by a Sith Master). She has been here for a very long time. In fact, if you remember, Fett's last wish before he left, was for his Padawan to be promoted. Perhaps it is about time we respect her Master's wish and do just that. She did complete her training and has roleplayed quite a bit at swfans. Plenty of of threads I dont have the time go searching for now. And yes, she is still around somewhere.. :)

I would like to bring to the Council's attention, there are Padawans awaiting Masters to train them, and because of this, it is prudent that promotions are not unecessary delayed. It is important for future growth, there are enough Masters who can train and that those allready present are not tied up with too many apprentices. When you see someone ready, please notify in this thread.

As thankful as I am for this nomination for promotion, I must decline on OOC terms and I know Loki would IC decline the promotion. I know Loki isn't ready for promotion yet, he has a great deal to learn before then. :)

I would still like to create that padawan-training Jedi account, but I wont have the time to dedicate until in just over amonths time after my exams, I wish I could help more towards training but at the moment my hands are tied. :(

I've been most pleased with the way she handles herself in the small bit I've RP'ed with her, and from what I've seen of her other posts, I believe she would be a great choice. I'm quite content to hang about as a Padawan. Took me a bit over two months to get a master, so, I'm patient. Being a Padawan is fun.

For me, time has nothing to do with it. To be promoted you have to be ready IC and OOC. I know im not ready yet but I feel im progressing nicely. I agree with Sejah and am enjoying being a Padawan.

I think the period of '3 months' was in order to stop people God Moding. Saying how good they were in order to become a knight. 3 months ensures there is at least some character development.

If she is ready then, I would say to you all I have heard there is a colony that the Republic has lost contact with. Seems we dont know what has happened to it, I believe it would be a good thing for this Padawan to be sent out to find out what happened. I blieve she shoudl be sent out and if her conduct and actions are worthy of a Jedi Knight, she is to be promoted.

What say everyone else ?
