Just started playing them. Or is "Watching" more appropriate for MGS2? It's basically a movie with some gameplay added in for fun!

MGS2 is bile-inducing. Its a bad Japanese movie packaged as a game. Jeebus, I beat the dang thing in 23 hours...guess how much of that was spent on cutscenes?

Oh and as for plot twists...one, two, or even three are good for dramatic effect. But that game has more twists than a spastic kitten with parkinsons disease can make in a yarn factory.

It left a very bad taste in my mouth indeed. I'm glad I didn't pay money for it.

Meh. The only modern console I ever liked was the Dreamcast (tho both the X-Box and GC draw minor interest), and Sony killed that through marketing. I still think most of the Dreamcast titles are better looking than the vast majority of PS2 titles. Its the jaggies that get to me. Well, that and the completely underwhelming games available. Virtua Fighter 4 and FFX are the only titles that draw interest. GTA3 would, but its controls are fairly worthless (for me, a veteran PC FPS player) when you get out of the car.

Oh, TH2 and TH3. Awesome games, but cross platform.

(shrug) I dunno about Final Fantasy. Ever since 7, its like "Hey, lets do the exact same game we did before, but put 20 minute powerup cutscenes on each move, and just sell eye candy."

If I wanted that, I'd just save my money and watch DBZ. Oh wait, I already do that. Nevermind. :)

hehe, the only game I find myself playing for hours is Virtua Fighter 4 at my sister's house, hell it's repeative but passes the time......
