Hi all you people out there who RP i thought i would write to you all and tell you about my character since hes new!

Name: Corin Zetith

Age: 19

Profile: 5'6",short curly red hair,light build but toned,deep blue eyes(has a scar running along his l.cheek which puts a rougish
aura on hi handsome face)

Occupation: Jedi Padawan(extremely high medicolorian count)

Weapon(s): His aqua-marine dual-phase lightsaber. he controls its length through the force.he also has the switch on the inside so only he can turn it on through the force.

Strengths: telekinesis,power absorption through the force.learned in martial arts as well(taught by none other than Shada Douk'al.quick and nimble.

Weaknesses:emotionally distraught about anything concerning his family.

Background:Corin was born into a middle class family on the planet of naboo.he was discovered at a young age to be highly sensitive to the force.he went through training from a jedi holocube until he was 15. on his 16th birthday his mother gave him a ship and told him to go to the jedi praxeum on yavin IV.he has spent the last four years of his life training under the quidance of Jedi Master Kam Solusar.in the past year his mother and his niece(the only two members of his family he ever knew alive)were murdered by Darth Uhlen(half Yuuhzan Vong and half Human) at their home on Naboo!Corin who was at the time coming home to visit saw Uhlen fleeing the residence and took off after him.when Uhlen got to his ship he turned around flicked his lightsaber on and slashed through Corin's cheek clear to the bone!Uhlen got away. and Corin found out his family had been killed.then to make things worse he came home to the Praxeum to find that his love Enya Ramelian had suddenly vanished! he set off after her and has been looking ever since...

Sounds good, although for a new character, it would be best to start off as a Padawan Learner.

Nice idea with the saber activation though.

Good description, but, um, where'd you learn all those fantastic abilities? Sejah's 25, and he ain't even got a master yet.

I agree with Lizardo here in that it's really best to start off as a padawan, you get better development that way, I think. Actually, I know. Don't ask me how I know. it's a sad, and quite terrifying tale...

But still, I do like that telekenesis on-off switch, but, what happens if you got hit on the head by, say, a frying pan by a Sith or other baddie? I'd imagine it would be rather hard to turn it on that way with your head ringing still. Who knows, you might accidentally turn on a nearby televison set and tune it in to The Simpsons. Which would be interesting, but not very effective, I wouldn't think.

I like your mention of family, and can see that going in some interesting ways. I also appreciate that you gave him red hair. I've only seen one other Jedi with red hair before, so you've got yourself a real trademark there. But please, although there were some darn powerful Jedi in the movies, realizes that sometimes the greatest strenghts are in fact weaknesses. If you are all powerful, the wold becomes a rather boring place in which to live.

I (the person behind this character) have been roleplaying on these forums for over two years and have been a Jedi now for four months (albeit posting erratically) and am still a Padawan, but am pleased with my progression and development so far. Its very fulfilling starting from almost nothing and working ones way up through a series of character progressions rather than just popping onto the scene with "extremely strong force power". Feels more earned and rewarding to me.

*LV's eyes widen at the fast approaching bricks. She wriggles in the Force grip, but can't get out, so instead she uses the Force to erect a Force shield. One of the rbicks bounces off the shield, but the other somehow glances off it and slides past L's shoulder, bumping it. She let's out a curse.*

Look, i don't know how you knew I was gonna tell ya to die like a good little Jedi, but all I have to say is... GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

*LV breaks lose of the Force grip and is about to send the whole brick wall collapsing on top of AB, when a thought strikes her.*
