Yog let me in here to take a look at things... :)
So far... damn guys, I'm impressed. This looks fantastic, and with the hacks that I've been reading about, it sounds like this should work quite nicely.

Much better contrast in the reply field. Thanks Ogre.
Btw, you think it would be possible give the text of those those pull down menues "Forum Jump", "Style Set Selection", "Admin Option" etc the same color?

Hmmmm, in these forums you don't really need the style set selection box. hmmmm

Apr 28th, 2002, 01:13:41 AM
True. It might as well be removed

I'll definatley get that out and I also plan to customize the postbit template a little more for GJO forums too, to help set you apart from the other forums some. I was thinking that I would get rid of these black backgrounds and maybe rearrange the table a little here within each post in topics for you.

That sounds awesome (sorry if I use this word too repetively, but that is what I think it is :p).
It would probably be a good idea for me, looking for/creating some cool unread and closed thread images etc. It would give the forum even more unique and give a "Jedi feel". Morgan might help me out a bit, I hope. :angel
Earlier, I did chang the color theme from the regular glowing blue theme to a slightly darker one to fit with the image map. Not sure if you ever noticed, but I think it is kinda cool. :smokin

I noticed, and if you guys want to redesign any, you can set up your ezboard how you want the redesign to look and I can mimic it nearly exactly. :)
Those table rounders don't have to be there.
And your having the images on your own server makes making the changes you suggest a piece of cake for ya. ;)

Yep, it is kids play changing the images. Morgan got FTP access too, so he could change whatever whenever he likes.
About tables, feel free to experiment. :)

Do you guys want the post on the left and the user info on the right in these forums?
TheHolo.Net
Apr 28th, 2002, 04:51:02 AM
I did a little experimenting with tables and such, feel free to add suggestions or whatnot.
BTW: I didn't apply these changes to all the GJO forums here yet so it easy to go back to what it was if wanted.

Hmmm, I think I like this layout. Now if all my images for buddy, ignore, search etc had transparant backgrounds. :x My fault.
And don't hesitate to give feeback, positive or negative and or suggestions. :)

Would we be able to get some of our other smileys we have at GJO? Like our microwave oven one? Or the farting ones?
TheHolo.Net
Apr 28th, 2002, 04:58:42 PM
I don't see why not. They will actually apply to the entire forum as a whole, GJO and SWFans. :)
Set me up with links or images of the ones you want added and what code you want used for them and I can add them. :)
edit - ooooooooooooo

I don't think it's currently possible to have smilies specific to one forum (or set of forums), but I don't see why we can't just add them to the rest of the ones we have. :)

BTW: ^ You can change these icons (points to the sunglassed icon in the subject of this post) on a style level by replacing the files in the "icons" directory of your default vBulletin images directory. I haven't experimented enough to know if you can have more than tweleve, but it might be worth trying using the same naming convention in that folder. :)

Making custom ones like you may want to use here display in the new topic or reply submit screens would be difficult because those are displayed from the standard image path and not the style’s custom path. :x
