If this was Japan we'd probably be able to get SW:Ep II toilet paper as well.

They actually do that stuff over there.

And this is old news but still keen:)

:lol Jedah..true true..TRUE!

Its all over the place! Seen two types of these boxes today. I bought this one.

Then of course Frito Lay has EP2 all over the place.

And..aren't the figures due out possibly tomorrow? I dunno Obi said something about that..anyway....

Leave it to Lucas on Merchandising:lol

The figures are indeed out tomorrow.

Wouldnt surprise me if some stores are open midnight for it.

Read about one toy store putting them out early by mistake three or so days ago which was amusing:)

Figureines are released in Australia already

Most cool they are, I went to look today. WARNING! FIGUREINES ARE SPOLIERS! EXAMPLE BELOW!!

The figurines are major spoilers of course. Plo Koon is I think a fairly major one. There is a few hints of the powers he has and all I can say to the naysayers about Warroir Jedi is BBBBBBBFFFFFFTTTTTT!!!!! it's even more clear some Jedi love a fight because he is clearly listed as a Jedi warrior. He also has this really cool Force Blast thingie that clearly shows the Jedi also throw energy about - quite a surprise! The figures and toys are all quite good quality and detail. They have life sized Lightsabres with full sized retractable "blades" too!

I can see Darth Vader right now, his formidible hulk dwarfing me as he stands before me, that helmet; black as death with the eyecovers boring into my very being, and the sound of his respirator filling my ears as his voice says menacingly:

They're after me lucky lightsabers!

*trudges back in with several sacks full o' goodies and a considerably lighter wallet.. :p

Ok, now I actually saw some guy there in front of me on a cell phone working with another shopper at another store saying he needs 80 clone troopers.. who NEEDS 80 clone troopers!?!?!? :lol Then he kept talking on the phone.. ok I can spot you 30 Yodas.. you got Jangos? I was like um.. excuse me, can I just get my one?

It was rather mild at my Walmart. At 11:30 p.m. there were myself and about 8 guys and I think they were wondering what I was doing there, lol. At 12:01 the ropes opened and we were off. Twas lots of fun though.. although not everything was out on the shelves yet.. No Dooku yet.. *sniff*

Apr 23rd, 2002, 12:14:26 AM
The Aussie Dooku ones are cool.... Warning, spoiler again!

And clearly label Dooku as Tyranus. Like how much spolier can you get?!?!

TRU was pretty busy... about 200 people or so in line, I was about in the middle. No problems, though. The entire front 3rd of the store was nothing but Episode II stuff. While everyone else was grabbing figures and playsets, I calmly grabbed the Lego sets, a copy of the soundtrack (Jango cover) and was out before people started to barter and trade stuff...

Got the "Action Figure Archive" book, too. Everyone that made a purchase got one for free. I paged through it... it's pretty sweet... a nice touch of nostalgia. :)

Well, I went to my local Wal-Mart Supercenter (since its 24-7, and my TRU didn't do midnight madness.) Waded through a SWARM of crazy SW freak college students, chatted with a couple of frat boys as we dug through the lot. Couldn't find the generic Obi or Anakin, or even Dooku, so I will look tomorrow. Also couldn't find the comic, so I'll also get that later. But I got Jango Fett, Boba Fett, both SW cereal boxes, and Jango Fett's double blasters.

Non spoilery? That's Christopher Lee's character.

I lucked out and a local store sold me what seem to be most of the hard-to-get ones Friday. I'll be looking for more today.

Heehee...I bought some of the figures!!:rollin

And..yep Charley, I had two guys talking to me about the movie and the figures! :p

But..tell ya what, if you don't want spoilers, you might not want to buy them!:\

Apr 23rd, 2002, 09:07:08 AM
Or if you're like me, you just grab the toys and you don't read the cards yet. :lol I'm really trying my best to stay spoiler free this go around as well. I even bought the Episode I soundtrack way back when it first came out and didn't read the tracks since it was said that one of the tracks told a definite spoiler.. which of course was track 15, Qui-Gon's Noble End.

Did you see "The Fellowship of the Ring"?

If so, Christopher Lee was the guy that played Saruman the White, the other wizard besides Gandalf. Lee has been around film for a looooooong time... he's probably best known for his roles in older horror films. Great great actor... he's going to be awesome in AOTC. :)

If you want to know a lot about Episode II, just stick around for a few days... we have people on this board that might know more about the movie than some Lucasfilm staff. :lol

I detest overly sweet breakfast cereal. And I agree with Satine, the concept of a AOTC cereal is disturbing and goign too far.

Okay, well I went shopping, but I wasn't looking for toys, I was trying to get some chips (had a coupon! woohoo!)

Lo and behold, there were three different Lays Potato Chips with AOTC designs. I got two of the Sour Cream and Onion ones because those are my favorite and I could get four bags with my coupon.

The regular flavor (salt! ;)) has Amidala on the front, BBQ has Anakin and Jango Fett and the SC&O has Yoda on it. :) Yay! I got something AOTC! :D

And I dont pay more then 100 and thats only for wango tango cause its a huge music festival and so its more expensive

YOU FREAK!

Pink Sucks, Alanis Sucks, Wango Tango Sucks...

...and the most I've ever paid in my right mind to see MB20 was 9 bucks, and I got to see 12 other bands that day, too!

And the most I've ever spent for a concert ticket....35 bucks for Bush and Veruca Salt, back in 1996.

Brittney Spears, Ricky martin, BSB, Samantha Mumba, Joe, Krystal, Jessica Simpson, The Blue Man group, Shaggy, Nellie Fertado, 3LW, Nikka Costa, Wayne Neuton, Aerosmith, American Hi-Fi, Eden's Crush, Virtical Horizon, Dream, Turese, performance of "Lady Marmalade" (Christina Aguilera, Maia, Missy Eliot (Lil Kim was not present)), Bee Gees

And out of all those, the only ones who are worth a damn are Shaggy (most stuff), and Vertical Horizon (one or two songs)

Nobody likes Aerosmith, and their bubblegum post-armageddon bullcrap.

That concert is lame.

Live Wire

lol! geez. britney didnt perform. 3lw sucked. Nikka costa I'd never heared of and havent heared of since. Edens crush dont get me started on that fake crap. Dream was so so. wayne nuton was there for the old crowd. But everything else was awesome. Shaggy brought the house down. That was soo cool!

I dont care what you think. I liked it and I had fun!
