Yes, I'm board and I have a few hours to kill so I guess I can do it like this.

Server Name: Firebird1's House of Sabers
Please join!

I could get on.. but... 56K is horrible for playing that game.. So.. Time to go stake Sprint, BellSouth, Verison and all those other DSL supporters that dont support DSL in my area. *Grabs a rusty pitchfork and a few banannas* CHAAARGE!

This isn't fair - my comp's still messed up otherwise I would be right in there, I swear to God I'm gonna wipe the hard disk later tonight. I'm sick to death of it. :(

Only deadacated servers can be shown to Raven and therefore your ingame browzer...

:(

Well, shoot....

EDIT: And untill I learn how to join my own server once it is dedicated I can't host the game.

Well that's crap o_O Why would they bother even allowing you to make non-dedicated servers, if no-one else can join them?

I believe you can manually type in the game name to join a server that's not listed. Don't quote me on that, though.

No! You're supposed to start servers during the evening when it's MY night on the comp!

*pouts*

Firebird1, get your ip, and you can hand that out to get people to join games you host. That's how we do it over at CCnet.

Use the start menu to run command.com to get you a DOS box. Then run ipconfig.exe or ipcfg.exe (depends on your Windows version) and it'll give you the ip.

What I've been wondering is how to find servers by looking up their IP address. I know how to search for a player, but I don't know how to find a server when all people give me is an IP. :(

Firebird, what kind of bandwidth do you have (DSL, Cable, T1+)?

go to the server screen and hit the connection type till you find favorites. Click on add favorite, and type in the IP. The server should show up on the screen then.

Then click on the new favorite to select it, click password to enter a password if you have one, and then double click the new server to play. :)

Somehow, this seems appropriate for JKII:

Dammit! As soon as I get my Tax Refund, I buying JK2... GIMMIE GIMMIE GIMMIE!!! I dont remember, does it use a modified Unreal, or Quake Engine? So I can practice a bit. (I rule at Unreal, but I'm so so at Quake)

Quake 3? Ahhhh!!! Out of a class of 30 (Advanced Web Programing) I averaged about 8-9th place in Quake... Sure, 3/4ths of the people owned the game, and it was my frist time playing, but... Compared to Unreal, where I was in the top 3, I sucked at Quake. (Also, didnt own Unreal)

Prefer UT to Q3 myself.

Except for map editing.. Subtracting entities instead of adding them is a pain in the a** >_<

I haven't done any real map making since Starcraft... And the last time I looked at it, buggy as heck!

WorldCraft Map making software for Half-Life is a very big pain in the a** to work.

I feel your pain! I drew up this map to make. (Sweet Downtown protect the bomb map. With a underground collapsed road tunnel. T's starting point. a 2 Story Mall Plaza. And a 3 Story Roof where the CT starts. Able to jump off into a swimming pool, go down fire escape, or go down through inside of building.)

All I managed was to make myself really pissed off.

Easiest map maker... Age of Empires 2. Then C&C Red Alert.

Hehehe, made a big ass Castle on top of a mountain in Age of Empires 2, me vs. 6 "primitives" all allied against me.

ON Monday I'll start up another server and hopefully I can keep it up for a few hours. Unless you all have other ideas about it.
I'll post my IP then. And I'm on a College LAN.
